June Carter
June Carter is a 3 year old Mix-Breed in White Cloud, MI, who needs $1,000 for Porcupine Quill Removal.
White Cloud, MI
June Carter is my late boyfriend Roy's dog. He passed away unexpectedly on March 25th 2026. We lived together with our fur babies; June, Johnny Cash and Waylon Jennings. On Saturday May 3rd, June was attacked by a porcupine. I've tried to find an affordable vet to take her to but I just don't have the financial means to pay for the surgery. Currently she still have quills in her face. She is eating and drinking well. I'm heartbroken for her and I want her better. I'm scared to lose her. She is my babygirl. June loves playing with her puppy Waylon Jennings. They enjoy playing tug of war with their chew ring. She hasn't been able to do that. I've loved June Carter the moment I met her. I loved how she interacted with my boyfriend. He was all she ever knew. Johnny Cash is her best friend and Waylon's dad. They protect each other. After losing my boyfriend Roy, there is only one income and I only work part-time. It's been hard not having him here with us. June and Johnny had no closure and it hurts my heart. I would appreciate any help to get my June bug healthy again

Luigi Meowgione
Free Luigi Meowgione from High Vet Bills
Grand Rapids, MI
One chilly October night, Luigi was ready to start his retirement from life outside. He’s enjoying being a house cat, but it sure is an adjustment. He went from a 15lb stray, non-neutered male in a neighborhood with a population problem (he was the problem) to a 19lb cozy fluffball. He knows it’s time to rest inside. He has so many good years ahead! Luigi is a handsome guy with magnetic energy. His stoicism and poise add decorum to daily life. But sometimes, he’ll suddenly turn into the silliest guy and steal everyone’s heart. Chasing his tail, bumbling around the house, and jumping straight up in the air when surprised. He’s seen how the rising costs of healthcare were affecting his fellow strays, and knows he’s one of the lucky cats! With the support of our community, I know he’ll live a long, healthy life. Luigi started having small accidents around the house, hiding, and acting strangely. It was an emergency urinary blockage! These can be life threatening for cats so he got to the hospital at 2am. He was treated with fluids, got some testing and came home. But 12 hours later he was back, needing a 2-day hospitalization and catheter. Luigi’s human was very stressed about the costs. But like so many faced with a medical emergency in the US, she had to make a quick call and deal with the crushing credit card debt later. Mr. Meowgione is home, recovering, purring on a lap. He hopes that this post spreads some much needed joy and appreciates anyone even considering supporting him!!

Rio
Rio is a 4 year old Pixie-bob in Walker, MI, who needs $6,000 for PU Surgery.
Walker, MI
As I sit here, recalling every moment with Rio—our playful kitty who brings so much joy to our family—I can’t help but feel a mix of gratitude and sheer panic. Just last month, Rio was rushed to the pet ER after collapsing from agonizing pain; his bladder had become obstructed in what should have been one of the happiest times for us both. The initial emergency room bill stood at $7000—a number Rio was rushed into the Animal Emergency and Specialty Hospital on 10/20 for a bladder blockage. His vet bill was $3800. He was discharged 10/23 and still wasnt urinating. I rushed him back 10/24 and now he isn't turning again and needs a PU surgery of $7000. I paid $1000 already. Ive exhausted all our funds and options. Rio is my ESP and I need him home. He brings my daughters joy everyday they come home from school. Rio is a lover. He does this cute flippy paw thing when he is being loved. He lives at home with his sister Diabla, his brother Louie and his daughters Stormi and Blinx. They are not the same with Rio gone. Rio is my ESP and I have had serious health issues the last 4 months and very depressed not working. Rio sleeps with me every night. My mom has been hospitalized for 2 months and not doing well either. I need him home.

willow
willow is a 6 month old American Shorthair in Grand Rapids , MI, who needs $1,000 for Sedation and Splinting Broken Leg.
Grand Rapids, MI
Willow came from a litter of 11 kittens. The kittens were all given to a shelter and fostered out together. Willow was adopted by us with her brother, Storm whom she loves dearly. They both currently live in our home together. They spend all day playing together and cuddling together. Our daughters love playing with the cats, and the cats are very good with our children. Willow has a broken leg. We took her to the emergency animal hospital and she got an initial exam, x-rays, and pain medication. This treatment alone was $700. She needs to be sedated and have a splint put on her leg for 6-12 weeks. Willow loves to play with toys, her brother storm, and my 3 daughters. She is a very playful and social cat, and is also very good with children. She also enjoys laying around the house and cuddling with her brother. Our family currently is in the process of selling our home due to divorce. We already paid 700 for Willow to get treatment, but cannot afford continue paying for the remainder of the treatment she needs. We want her leg to get fixed so she can go back to her normal self.

Shadow
Shadow is a 3 year old Russian Blue in Reed City, MI, who needs $2,000 for Catheterization for Urinary Obstruction.
Reed City, MI
We adopted Shadow last year and he’s been nothing but a bundle of love the whole time. He’s been sweet to our kids, our dogs, any guests that come by; he’s been the ideal addition to our little family. One day he was acting his normal cuddly self and the next he was howling in pain and refusing to eat. He was born with an anatomical abnormality that causes him to lose the ability to urinate and has to make a trip to the animal hospital. The vet said that he will likely be back in need of future treatments, so our outlook is uncertain. Shadow is a Velcro cat. He sticks with whoever is talking, petting, or playing with him. He will follow us around and curl right up for cuddles. He’s a big time talker and all of us have closely bonded with him. It’s hard to imagine our family without him and we’ve only had him for a year and a half. My income is enough for my little family, but this unforeseen circumstance of emergency treatment is not something we can afford on our own and we are dreading the next time he has to go in because it might very well be us saying goodbye.

Willow
Willow is a 4 year old Doberman Pinscher in Belding, MI, who needs $2,000 for Bowel Obstruction Removal Surgery.
Belding, MI
We have had Willow since she was 8 weeks old. She has been my rock when I am down. Willow loves to play frisbee and chase the ball. She has a sister we also purchased her a sister from the same mother and different father. These girls are our life’s. They took our kids place when they graduated and moved out. She knows all her basic commands but is your normal teenager and does not listen half the We had to rush Willow into Animal emergency and specialty hospital of Grand Rapids at 5 am this morning. The vet found an obstructed bowel and needs emergency surgery to get it removed. She has been tearing up our couch and eating it while we were not home. The most sweetest girl in the world. She loves all her human and dog family members so much. She controls her sister all the time. She is spoiled to much. Sleeps in bad with mom and dad. We are looking at a hefty vet bill to get Willow back to normal. Both of us work and with the economy what it is after Willow is out and doing better we will be getting emergency insurance on her once we can afford it.

Fiona
Fiona is a 7 year old Siamese in Muskegon, MI, who needs $2,000 for Rehydration and Tube Feeding, Blood Tests.
Muskegon, MI
Fiona was a trailer kitty, she was found in a trailer park by a rescue and put up for adoption. We saw her profile and fell in love, she was 1 yr old. She became part of our family with her kitty sister Maui and is now 7 She was staying with our daughter, another cat lover, while we went on vacation. She suddenly came up missing. Daughter did extensive search, inside and out. She was missing 31 days when suddenly she dropped out of laundry room ceiling, Severely dehydrated and malnourished. Taken to Animal Emergency and Specialty Hospital where she will have to stay for several days to recover. Fiona has a playmate named Maui and our dog Cricket, who she sometimes plays with and other times hides from. She loves to get pets and to eat. She will eat her own food then push her sister out of the way and eat hers too. Which is why we are confused about her hiding out for so long. She has many toys that she plays with at night, we find them all over the house. The bill for her care is going to run into the thousands. We simply don't have that kind of money available. We need to get her healthy enough to come home where we can love her and nurse her back to health. Maui also misses her and is very clingy now.

Cleocatra
Cleocatra is a 4 year old American Shorthair in Grand Rapids , MI, who needs $1,000 for Urinary Blockage.
Grand Rapids, MI
Cleocatra/Mama Kitty came into my life as more of an accident. She was my roommates, daughters cat that they adopted, and in turn, she adopted me against my will. When I moved, it was a unanimous decision that she belonged with me and so I took her with me. I am currently living in a house with 2 other roommates and splitting bills, living paycheck to paycheck. Just yesterday I noticed she was struggling to urinate. I do not have the funds to even get a diagnosis, let alone think about treatment. I will be taking her to the emergency veterinary hospital in Grand Rapids ASAP, funds or not as this is a very urgent matter/situation. Mama kitty is the sweetest girl. She greets me when I got home from work with her special chirps and meows, and I talk back to her and ask how her day was. She doesn't interact with anyone except me, I'm her person and she is my cat. Very quick to let me know when it is time for dinner, and she loves to experience the outdoors, even if she only makes it 5ft out the door. I recently suffered from a job loss and have been struggling to keep bills paid and food on the table for myself and the cats. She's always been a light in the dark for me when I'm down and out, now I need help to be the light in the dark for her when she's not feeling well.

Midnight
Midnight is a 5-year-old Pitbull in Grand Rapids, MI, who needs $2,000 for Spay Surgery.
Grand Rapids, MI
I rescued Midnight from her abusive owner when she was 6 weeks old. Ever since she’s entered my life, she has made it better and happier. She has been by my side through everything. From being Homeless, to getting my first apartment. I’ve had her for 5 years now and we have grown up together. I am having my child in a week and would love nothing more than having her grow up with midnight. Midnight loves the outdoors, she loves running and she loves playing with her toys. When we aren’t outside playing, she loves to lay down on my lap and take naps. She is the family dog. She lets my baby brother ride on her back like a horse and she is also trained to protect them if they are in danger. Anyone who brings their children around her feels safe. She has never bitten anyone. Midnight is truly one of a kind. She has a spunky personality and she is the biggest sweetheart. She loves to talk and she is truly a leader. I am so proud of the dog she has become. When I first got her she was very timid and she was scared of people. Now she loves everyone she meets. She makes goofy faces and she likes to play hide and seek. She also likes to watch movies and eat popcorn. I found out today that midnight has an infection in her uterus called pyometra. The only way to cure it is by having her undergo surgery to take her uterus and ovaries out. Animal emergency hospital is the physician that is planning on doing the surgery. The doctor said that if this goes untreated, she will only live another week at most. I cannot imagine my life without my best friend and it breaks my heart that because of my financial situation, I can’t help her on my own. That’s why I humbly come to you. Please help me save my best friends life and allow her to be in my daughters life.

Jaxxten Ryan
Jaxxten Ryan is a 2-month-old Bassett Hound in Sioux Falls, SD, who needs $2,000 for Parvo.
Sioux Falls, SD
We decided to get a bassett hound puppy to use the name we had picked if we were going to have a boy. We found the puppy we wanted about 8 hours away from us. We picked him up when he was 8 weeks old. We only got to spend about 4 days with him before he took a turn for the worst and was diagnosed with parvo at 3AM. With only having spent 4 days with our little guy we were just starting to get to know him. We know he loves to chew on things and love all his dog toys so far with the fox or rope with ball being his favorite. He loved to play with us and he was working in learning his name. He is such a loving, funny, and lazy puppy. In the 4 days we have got to spend with him he loved to take a toy in particular the fox and moved his head back and forth rapidly. He can be so lazy and cuddles. We would take him out to use the restroom and he would use it and walk a few steps and lay down. You have to pick him up to his legs to get him to follow you to the house. Also, right before getting sick he learned to go up a step!!!! We are asking for help with with emergency room visit at the Animal Emergency Hospital. We were able to get a care credit card but that has been maxed out. He will need to contiune to be on many medications up to a month and is currently still in the E.R and is stable. Currently he has no fever and has not vomitted in 24 hours. We are still working on bowel movements and eating. We maxed out all we could on the ER visit. My kids keep asking when he gets to come home. He has only been with us a short amont of time but he is already part of the family. We love our little guy so much.

Jake
Jake is a 10-year-old Jack Russel Mix Dog in Grand Rapids , MI, who needs $2,000 for Femoral head and neck osteotomy.
Grand Rapids, MI
I’m honestly too depressed about what Jake is going through that I can’t think enough to write a story. I felt so blessed that he came into my life… and now I’m overcome with guilt. Had they given Jake to someone who had money, he would be ok today. I took him to be neutered at C Snip on 3/23/22, he supposedly had an undescended testicle, so they had to do a more invasive surgery&broke his hips. He was such a beautiful, super smart, energetic boy… until his hips were broke on 3/23/22. He is becoming much more unstable on his feet since yesterday. He needs surgery and medical care as soon as possible. I don’t think he can hold on much longer. His pelvis is getting more unstable since yesterday. I can’t watch this much longer. My heart hurts so very badly.Any help would be so appreciated. Jake is so loving and he’s goofy. He cuddles with me at night and he makes me laugh and smile with his goofiness. I really can’t concentrate right now to talk about what he was like before he got hurt at C Snip. He was such a happy puppy… a joyful pup. He still tries to be himself, but this has taken a huge toll on both him and me. Jake hips were broken during a neutering. He had an undescended testicle. He was only 8 1/2 months old. He’s a smaller dog at 15 pounds and small hips. He needs both hips fixed now. He’s becoming way more unstable on his feet since yesterday. I am too sad to even think straight right now. Seeing him sleeping in his crate all the time because he’s in pain and can’t do much is so hard for me. I have life threatening medical problems and my only source of income is disability. Jake being injured and me being unable to help him get surgery is killing me. I just feel I can’t go on anymore. He is the only reason I get up anymore…. But watching this is killing me
