Stella
Stella is a 4 year old Mix-Breed in Millersville, VA, who needs $5,000 for Emergency Exploratory Laparotomy to Repair Ulcer.
Millersville, VA
Stella came into my life as a puppy from an owner who could no longer care for her, and from that moment on, she became my everything. Since she was a puppy, she’s lived by my side in my home, surrounded by love, and she sleeps next to me every night. She’s been my rock and my soul through life’s ups and downs—always there, always loving without condition. Stella isn’t just my dog—she’s my heart My dog, Stella, recently experienced a serious and unexpected medical emergency that required immediate surgical intervention. She developed a severe ulcer in her stomach, and it was discovered that her gastrointestinal (GI) tract and stomach lining had torn. This complication was likely the result of prolonged use of pain medication following her yearly routine dental cleaning. She's at AAVEC Stella is truly the heart of our home. She has a gentle, loving personality and an incredible ability to sense when someone needs comfort. Whether it’s a quiet moment on the couch or a stressful day, she’s always right there—either curled up beside us or resting her head on our lap as if she understands exactly what we need. Stella’s emergency surgery exceeded $20,000, creating a major financial strain for our family. Any support helps ease this burden and allows us to focus on her recovery. Having her healthy again means everything—she’s truly part of our family.

Teagan
Teagan is a 11.5 year old Boxer in Lusby, MD, who needs $10,000 for Palladia Oral Chemo and Monthly Monitoring.
Lusby, MD
A show breeder had a lovely pet quality girl…after I adopted my last few, I seen this girl and fell in love instantly! We have been together pretty much every day since June of 2014. I was a truck driver & she was my co-pilot. We have spent more time together than my husband and I. I fed her a raw diet, no vaccines or monthly topicals. She was never sick. Only seen her vet for bloodwork. Mid Oct 2025 began this whirlwind of awful diagnoses. 3 types of cancer. They wanted to remove her bottom jaw. I have taken her to several specialists & now we are seeing Atlantic Veterinary Internal Medicine & Oncology, The treatments would be $800 a month, visits $1700.00. I just can’t afford it. She doesn’t act sick at all. It’s killing me. Teagan has never met a stranger, she loves everyone she meets. She is a very stoic girl. She isn’t letting her diagnosis get in her way. She is my shadow…if you see me, she will be by my side. I know she will not live forever but having several vets tell me she’s isn’t ready to go…. I find myself begging for help to save her. I can’t let money be the reason she doesn’t live a full life. In May 2026 I was diagnosed with a career ending diagnosis. I went from a 6 figure income to barely getting by on disability. I have applied for every credit card I can think of, wiped out our 401k accounts and it’s still not enough. I need her to get through my illness 😢

Buddy
Buddy is a 13 year old American Pit Bull Terrier in Prince Frederick , MD, who needs $15,000 for Chemo for Lung Cancer.
Prince Frederick, MD
Hello. I found Buddy on the side of a rural road in Oklahoma. Being in the military, Buddy left Oklahoma with me and has lived in Virginia, California, Okinawa Japan, and now Maryland- he’s well travelled! Buddy loves life and is an outstanding family dog! Buddy has been diagnosed with his third bout of cancer- this time with 3 spots in his lungs. The original cancer was in his hind leg, then in his abdominal area. The treatment will require chemo treatments He smiles at people when he’s excited! Buddy has an outstanding personality and is so well mannered. He gets along with other dogs, cats, and kids no issues. He is also very trainable, understanding boundaries and rules. Buddy has been my best friend since I adopted him in 2014. He mean the world to me and my family. Having paid for his prior 2 surgeries my CareCredit has been maxed. I also have used personal loan for the surgery and care of my other dog that past away last year.

Bublik
Bublik is a 3 year old Mix-Breed in Stevensville, MD, who needs $2,000 for IV Flush for Kidneys and Medications.
Stevensville, MD
Bublik was a stray cat living in Baltimore city. He was hanging around the construction site I was working on along with dozens of other cats, but unlike those cats who were mostly skittish Bublik came right up to me and said "Hi" At the end of that work day I put him in my car and took him home. He is now best buddies with out Labradoodle. Bublik suffered from a urethral plug which caused him to become very ill. The vet says he has high potassium levels which can be harmful to his heart and weakened kidney function. He his being treated at Anne Arundel Emergency Veterinary Clinic. Since the day I met Bublik he has been a very special cat. I never wanted a cat before as I am a dog person but he was so friendly at the job site that I could not bear leaving him on the streets. He has become best buddies with my Labradoodle Bob and they are often found snuggling. Sometimes Bublik steals Bobs bed but Bob doesn't seem to mind. He is a very loving cat. I like most people these days am just getting by. This is one of those situations where it could not have come at a worse time financially for us. I don't think I could live with myself if I did not try everything I can to get Bublik healthy again.

Pepper
Pepper is a 6 month old Shiba Inu in Annville, PA, who needs $2,000 for Orthopedic Fracture Repair.
Annville, PA
I got Pepper from a family who couldn’t take care of her due to health reasons. She was just 4 months old and needed a new family. I was looking for a pet and so it was perfect timing for her and I. We live together in my 2 bedroom apartment and she’s been well adjusted. I came home from work one day and noticed she was favoring her right front leg by not putting any weight on it. Concerned, I picked her up and it was just dangling. We immediately went to the Hershey Animal Emergency Center and she was x-rayed and diagnosed with a Long oblique mid diaphyseal humeral fracture that will need surgery to repair. I just don’t have the money for it. Pepper came into my life at a time I needed a companion. I moved to a new city and started a new job and she became my best friend and helped me get situated. Her energy is unmatched. Pepper is an appropriate name! She’s lovey, hyper at times, a big licker, and loves to run, jump, and play. She loves visits from my parents, friends and neighbors! She’s not herself right now. She’s sad and in pain. This came at an unexpected time (as these things do) and I just wasn’t prepared to spend so much at once. Her surgery is the price of a decent used car. It would mean the world to Pepper and I if someone could help us with this. I can’t stand seeing her in so much pain.

Kobe is a 2 year old Rottweiler in Pasadena, MD, who needs $2,000 for CCL Repair.
Pasadena, MD
My boy Kobe is a champion bloodline Rottweiler. He is a 130lb teddy bear. Loves people and wants to be around people all the time. Kobe is the best part of our family. He lives with me, my husband, my son and his buddy Kosie the cat. Kobie has high energy, very playful and comes running when he hears his name called. Last month my husband called Kobe and he came running. There are 4 steps down to the driveway. On this day he leapt over most of them and landed wrong injuring his back leg. I Immediately took him to the vet because he was holding his leg up. After a physical exam, the vet said that he had injured his CCL and would need surgery. I contacted a surgeon, I was given a quote of $6000 Kobe is the best part of our family. He lives with me, my husband, my son and his buddy Kosie the cat. He is a sweet boy with a personality that will make you smile, laugh and melt your heart. Meeting Kobe for the first time any skeptical opinion of Rottweilers immediately will change. My family is financially stretched at this time. My mother recently passed away, and we covered all funeral costs. I have had some Medical issues and have not been able to work full-time. Waiting too long to have the surgery, will create irreversible damage.

Gus
Gus is a 10 year old Persian in Lanham, , who needs $2,000 for Endoscopy.
Lanham
Gus was rescued at age six weeks. He is now 10 years old and very loved. He spent last weekend in an emergency veterinarian. The doctors say he has a huge fur ball in his stomach that is wedged in place but needs to come out as it will cause a blockage if it begins to move down into his intestines. Right now it can be removed by laparoscopy (a tube down his throat). Gus has a heart condition and so he needs this procedure in the Vet Clinic next to his cardiologist because anesthesia can be dangerous for him. (CVCA in Annapolis). I’m taking him there tomorrow morning but don’t have the money needed. We are an elderly woman (84) and older daughter (59) with disabilities. Gus is the light of our lives. He brings joy into our lives. We need him to be healthy again. I am on disability due to Multiple Sclerosis. My mom is a cancer survivor and I do my best to take care of her and Gus. There is little to no money at this time and I pray they don’t turn us away tomorrow because there are insufficient funds on my one credit card.

Daisy
Daisy is a 5 month old Boxer in Leonardtown, MD, who needs $2,000 for Cardiologist and Diagnostics to Determine Severity.
Leonardtown, MD
On March 22nd, 2024, we received Daisy as a gift. We had an 11 year old Boxer, Samson, that had Degenerative Myelopathy, the dog form of ALS or Lou Gehrig's Disease. We have a huge fenced yard, but sadly, had nobody to play in it anymore. Daisy came in and became Sam's comfort and eased our hearts when he passed June 22nd A month ago, Daisy began falling over stiff when playing occasionally. I assumed it was seizures so I called our vet. We got in yesterday. After doing an EKG on Daisy, our vet told me to go immediately to Chesapeake Veterinary Referral Center, 2 hours away. They have a Cardiologist. She was initially diagnosed with Malignant Ventricular Arrhythmia but they need more testing, estimated at $4000 Daisy is amazing. Boxers are just the best dogs but boxer puppies should be their own breed. She sleeps above my head at night, completely covering me, ear to ear. Although it wasn't her job, when our Samson died last month, she took care of us. She comforted us more than I ever expected a puppy to do. If we lost her, I just can't imagine our home without her. Our 6 year old adores her My husband is retired military. We don't have $4000 laying around. We discussed selling our house but that will take longer than Daisy has. We may lose her anyway but she deserves a chance at life and without help, she won't get that.

Cooper
Cooper is a 5 year old Great Dane in Annapolis , MD, who needs $2,000 for Toe Amputation for Back Paw.
Annapolis, MD
Cooper is a loving five year old Great Dane who was recently adopted after having been surrendered to a Great Dane rescue after an infection caused a huge wound in his back paw. He was treated, but the wound became reinfected and his previous owner's could not afford the cost of his care. He was surrendered for euthanasia but was rescued. He was cleared until his current vet re-examined him. The infection in Cooper's paw has spread and he is facing the removal of one to potentially all the toes on his paw. Cooper will be treated at Banfield Animal Hospital in Annapolis, MD. The surgery and post-op costs are approaching $8000. This surgery is urgently required to stop the infection from spreading further up Cooper's paw. Cooper has already stolen our hearts with his playful spirit and gentle nature. He was kept in isolation because of his injury but he has not let that dappen his loving spirit. He loves to cuddle and give kisses. He has already settled in with his kitty sister and other Great Dane rescue sister, Skylar. It's heartbreaking to see him in pain. We hope that surgery can give him the chance to recover. Skylar is recovering from surgery after the same type of infection took the toes of her front paw. We are financially strained with two surgeries so close together. Cooper was supposed to be in the clear and this cost has caught us off guard and put us in financial strain.

Roxy Shaw
Roxy Shaw is a 12-year-old Yorkshire Terrier in Annapolis, MD, who needs $2,000 for Liver Tumor Removal.
Annapolis, MD
Roxy came into our lives 12 years ago after the painful loss of our beloved dog, Bailey. Roxy healed the hearts of our three young girls, and has been the light of our families life ever since. She had a major ear surgery in the height of the pandemic and was granted a new lease on life. This new tumor diagnosis has been crushing. She has many good years left - please help us keep her alive. Roxy lights up our home with her playful energy and boundless, unconditional affection. From morning walks to snuggles on the couch to chasing toys in the yard, she's an integral part of our family, spreading joy with every lick and kiss. She is an irreplaceable part of our family. Her playful spirit & unwavering love brightens our days and reminds us of the purest form of companionship. Roxy is incredibly special. From her quirky habit of carrying her squeaky squirrel toy everywhere to her adorable "conversations" with playful barks, she brings boundless joy. She's not just a pet; she's family, enriching our lives with love and laughter every day. She loves to press up against you no matter what you're doing - she just wants to remind you that she's there for you always. Roxy was diagnosed with a large (>10cm X 10cm) mass filling the majority of the abdomen that is suspected to originate from the left/medial distal liver. This tumor is growing very rapidly and soon her organs will be crushed by the weight and size. Her stomach is shrinking each day and eating will become impossible soon - which means she will starve to death. We need surgery ASAP too remove it! The cost of the surgical procedure needed to save Roxy's life, coupled with subsequent care, is far out of our financial means. We have two households at this time due to a separation and two kids in college. Anything at all you can do to help is greatly appreciated.

Bow
Bow is a 4-year-old Domestic Short Hair Cat in Pasadena, MD, who needs $2,000 for Perineal Urethrostomy.
Pasadena, MD
Bow was a small kitten when found at an abandon warehouse. My family rescued him and his litter mates and found his brother and sisters homes but decided to keep bow for our selves. He has always been a very energetic cat and very curious about everything. One night he was very lethargic and in pain so we took him to the emergency vet and it was concluded to have a urinary blockage of crystals. Bow is not very trusting of many people. I his owner sees to be the only person that he truly feels comfortable with. He does slow my finance to interactive with him as we live together but if anyone comes into the house he goes into hiding until they leave. We have one other cat (shadow) another adopted stray that he wants to be around 24/7 and tried to nap with him all the time in their cat bed. Bow has this specific toy mouse that rattles that he cannot get enough of. All you would have to do is shake the mouse and he would come running around the corner. Sometimes he would play fetch and bring it back when he really wants your attention. The night bow was having issues we took him to the Anne Arundel veterinary emergency clinic in Annapolis. He did not have any prior medical history other than the yearly rabies shots. That night he was diagnosed with a urinary blockage and was kept over night with a catheter to drain is bladder. After the procedures we took him home and within 24 hrs he blocked again. I have already paid for the procedures and cannot financial afford it again with being a new home owner and a baby on the way. The doctor mentioned that the only other option for bow would be to go through a procedures that would surgically remove part of his penis.

Taco
Taco is a 7-year-old Domestic Shorthair Cat in Huntingtown , MD, who needs $2,000 for Urinary Obstruction Treatment
Huntingtown, MD
One day I saw a litter of kittens up for adoption online. A big orange one caught my eye and I was in love. I had to have it. I knew my husband wouldnt willingly let me get a second cat. So I told my husband I was going out for tacos and I would be back soon. An hour later, I came home with "Taco" the kitten. My husband thought it was so clever. He wasn't even upset I brought another cat home. Taco is a mama's boy all the way. But he loves a good belly rub from dad every now and again. He's the BEST snuggler ever. And he will definitely let you know when he is happy. He is very talkative and a purr machine. You can hear him from across the room most days. He's a warm lap when you need it. Taco likes to yell "mom" or say "hello" when he can't find anyone in the house. He's a very needy boy. But we love that about him. It always makes us laugh when he walks through the house yelling "hello?" Like he's saying, is anyone there? I need cuddles. Taco has been diagnosed with bladder stones. One or more of the stones has become stuck in his urethra and won't allow urine to pass. He is currently at Anne Arundel Veterinary Emergency Clinic (AAVEC) being treated. They put a catheter in to unblock his urethra. But he still has stones in his bladder and will require surgery to prevent this from happening again. It's called a Cystotomy This is an unexpected emergency. We live paycheck to paycheck with no emergency funds what so ever. It seems like every corner we turn, its a new disaster. We really would appreciate any help we can get.

Princess
Princess is a 4-year-old Staffordshire Terrier in Harwood, MD, who needs $1,800 for Intestinal Blockage Surgery.
Harwood, MD
Princess is a 4 year old sweet Staffordshire Terrier. She was rescued 3 years ago. She was used for Pitbull ring fights at a young age by an irresponsible breeder. She has been healthy her entire life. She is extremely friendly and loves to meet strangers. She lives with my mom, my 3 year old brother, and I. Princess’ best friend has turned out to be my 3 year old brother. She has loved him ever since he walked through our front door after he was born. She loves to play with him and cuddle with him. Princess is friendly with EVERY dog. Every time we go on walks she HAS to say hi to everyone. When I am at my college campus, she hangs out with my mom and follows her everywhere. Princess has a bone marking on her neck that is very unique. It is the only white spot on her tan fur. She loooves catching bubbles. She also loves to wink at people. The funniest thing she does is jump. She jumps extremely high surfaces outside. We have made an outdoor course for her where she jumps through hula hoops. She’s such an active pup. Princess is currently at the veterinary hospital because she started vomiting blood and would not eat. Suddenly, she started getting so weak that she could no longer walk once we reached the clinic. She was severely dehydrated. The doctors diagnosed an intestinal blockage and an emergency surgery is urgent. She is in critical condition. This was a very tragic & sudden emergency. Princess has been the best friend I’ve always needed. She has helped me get through tough times. She absolutely means the world to me. My 3 year old brother wonders where she is. She’s a young dog and we hate to see her suffering.
