Achilles
Achilles is a 6 year old Doberman Pinscher in Dandridge, TN, who needs $5,000 for ACL Surgery.
Dandridge, TN
She's a rescue service dog, plus an emotional support animal for myself and my adult son who is permanently disabled with 22q chromosome disorder. She reminds us both to take our meds on time, she assists in guiding son if he gets confused, etc. We adopted her 3 years ago and it is documented that she, as well as another dog, were thrown out of a 70mph vehicle and had to undergo surgery for injuries. She has a torn ACL now which is requiring surgery and we can not afford the estimated cost of $5,000... We only have $550 and surgery is scheduled for 11-10-2025 at Blackford hospital. She's a service dog but also an emotional support animal for us both and has the sweetest temperament of any pet I've owned. She has abandonment issues and can tell was mistreated in the past. I recently moved here with my adult son who is disabled with 22q chromosome disorder and have been denied disability for him 3 times. I am a senior citizen in a very low income and reaching out for assistance with Achilles veterinary care.

Dexter
Dexter is a 11 year old Chihuahua in Soddy Daisy, TN, who needs $2,000 for Dental Cleaning and Tooth Extraction.
Soddy Daisy, TN
I’ve had Dexter since he was a puppy! Such full of love and joy! He is the best dog anyone could ask for! He goes to work with me everyday so I can watch him and take care of him. Last year he got diagnosed with diabetes and cushions disease. Now he has an abscess above his tooth and needs a dental cleaning and possible teeth extracted. At East Tennessee Veterinary Dentistry He just loves being around me and his best friend Diesel. I never ask for help with anything but this is going to be an expensive visit. He is just so loving and gentle. Me and my husband just bought an HVAC unit after so many years of not being able to afford one and then our little Dexter got sick. I just can’t bare to think he is hurting and it is breaking my heart.

Daisy
Daisy is a 5 year old Belgian Shepherd Dog (Malinois) in Rowe, , who needs $4,600 for Torn Ligament Surgery.
Rowe
Daisy came to us from a person my husband worked with. She is a German Shepard/Malonis mix. She is such a loving dog. She is 5 years old now. Daisy has a best friend named Duke. We chose her name Daisy because of Dukes of Hazzard. We already had our dog Duke. Duke and Daisy is a pair. She is a big baby. She loves belly rubs and attention. Daisy is diagnosed with a torn ligament in one of her back legs. A torn ligament is an injury that affects the knee joint. Daisy has noticeable limping and difficult bearing weight on her affected leg. The only treatment for Daisy is to have surgery. Her surgery will be 4600. It is way more than we can financially afford. Daisy is like family to us. She is a loving dog with a big heart. Daisy is a loving dog. She loves belly rubs. She is a big part of our family. She is always around to cheer you up when you are down. She is a beautiful dog. We would love to get her back to her old self so she can run and play again. She struggles to walk and has to sit and rest a lot throughout the day. Daisy's surgery is something we did not expect to come up in her life. This surgery will cost 4600. Which is more than we can pay all at once. We felt a wave of sadness and worry as we knew we would struggle to be able to afford this surgery. Any help is appreciated.

Nellie
Nellie is a 4 year old English Mastiff in Knoxville, TN, who needs $2,000 for ACL Surgery on her Knee.
Knoxville, TN
We got Nellie in Kentucky when she was 8 weeks old, for my son who is adhd and has anxiety. We love her so much and she is such a big part of our family, she has a sister that is 3 and an australian shepherd brother who is 3 as well that we rescued in 2023. Nellie loves car rides and being outside with the other 2 dogs she loves to play and be lazy in your lap and give you lots of kisses. Nellie has always been a very healthy and friendly pup, just in the last year we have noticed lameness in her rear legs, we have taken her to Village Vet in Maryville and they diagnosed her with her knee problems with both her knees have an ACL tear. Nellie is such a great girl she loves everyone and her best friend that she grew up with is her now 10 year-old brother they always sleep together every night and she makes sure he is protected. She loves to play with her furry siblings and will lay in anyone's lap to get some petting and give away her kisses to anyone who will let her Our situation has changed because my husband has had a huge change in his pay, he has been in car sales for 5 years. Our pets are like our kids and to see her not able to live her best life a just be happy with her furry sister and brother and with us.

Phoebe
Phoebe is a 5 month old Mix-Breed in Newport , TN, who needs $2,000 for Femur Surgery.
Newport, TN
We got Phoebe at 9weeks old, she has filled a void that I had in my heart. She is the most precious fur baby who’s endured so much in her short 5 months on this earth. Sweet Phoebe got cherry eye and had to have her eye removed during her post recovery a coyote tried to attack her and she fell and broke her femur. Without surgery she faces amputation and I can’t fathom putting her through that. She deserves a full recovery and the ability to have the best life possible. Phoebe has the most loving heart of any furbaby. She is always wanting to cuddle and snuggle with us and knows how to make you smile when you just want to cry. Our community suffered from a flood in September from Hurricane Helene and it flooded my husbands workplace. He lost his job and has yet been able to find work. With 1 persons income and adding a large surgery it causes a financial burden.

Dom
Dom is a 7 year old German Shepherd Dog in Bristol, VA, who needs $2,000 for Perineal Hernia Surgery.
Bristol, VA
Dom came into our lives by showing up in our yard in May 2018. My aunt called and asked if we got a German Shepard, because there was one running around our yard. Our daughter went outside and there he was. Dom's owner was looking for him in the park, he came and got Dom. About a week later he was knocking on our door asking if we wanted Dom because he could no longer keep him. Dom has a perineal hernia. If it grows any bigger it can grow around his intestines and bladder, cutting off his ability to use the bathroom. No veterinarians in our area does that type of surgery that Dom needs. The closest veterinary that does the surgery is Blackford Veterinary Hospital in Knoxville Tennessee, which is about two hours away. Dom came into our lives at a very difficult time. He along with my other dog Benny has helped me through some difficult times. When Dom get to know you he is a big baby. He likes to run around in the yard and patrol the perimeter. He also likes to help my husband to work on cars and likes to steal tools. Dom also enjoys watching baseball games in the park below our house. This is an unexpected expense that needs to be taken care of as soon as possible. Dom and my other fur baby are my comfort, companion, and protectors. It would mean everything for Dom to be able to live the rest of his life without discomfort and pain. Thank you so much.

Chomper
Chomper is a 2-year-old Pomeranian in Knoxville, TN, who needs $2,000 for Orthopedic Surgery.
Knoxville, TN
We got Chomper a month or so ago. He is such a sweetheart. He brings so much joy to our house. He lives with 2 other pet siblings, his human mom and grandma. Chomp is a Pomeranian that is just under 5 pounds. One day Grandma was putting him down on the floor and when he was about a foot away from the floor he lunged down. He fell wrong and broke his front right wrist. Grandma works from home so she’s able to be with all 3 fur grandkids. Other than barking at noises the house is calm and quiet. Chomper is very active and happy. He smiles all the time. He’s the smallest but has a BIG personality. He’s such a little lover. He loves cuddle time as much as play time. Chomper is the most outgoing and friendly pom that we’ve ever had. He has a huge personality and is high energy. He puts his brother in his place. His brother is 11 pounds. His sister keep him in line. He still doesn’t back down. He’s all boy. He’s a lover and a fighter. Haha!! He really just wants cuddles. That’s when he really smiles. Grandma had been holding Chomper. When she started to put him down, he was about a foot from the floor, he lunged out of her hands and then fell wrong on his front right wrist. We rushed him to the vet ER. They casted him. He now needs surgery to add a plate to secure the bones so that he will regain mobility. My daughter recently got divorced, lost her job and has moved back home. It’s just the two of us.. Due to bankruptcies neither of us can get credit. We desperately need to to take care of our baby. Any amounts donated would help. Thank you!!

Ambrose (aka Piggy)
Ambrose (aka Piggy) is a 6-year-old Pitbull Mix in Sevierville, TN, who needs $2,000 for TPLO (Tibial Plateau Leveling Osteotomy) to Rear Left Leg.
Sevierville, TN
Ambrose (aka Piggy) was adopted from East Tennessee Pitbull Rescue as a four-month-old pup. He had been found by an animal shelter on the side of a road in South Carolina, riddled with scabs, fleas, and a nasty head wound. Little did his parents know the uphill medical battle he would climb. Early on, issues with his back legs brought him to hydrotherapy at the University of Tennessee vet clinic. A UT vet speculated he came from a puppy mill, and when the breeder discovered Piggy's leg/joint problems, he tried to kill him with a blow to the head. As Piggy grew up, his parents learned that this head trauma most likely led to his violent seizures. Piggy has since had several surgeries on his legs and is on daily medication for his seizures and joint pain. He's the absolute happiest, most adorable dog on the entire planet! At least his parents think so.:) In the face of so much pain, abuse, and medical issues, he is such a happy boy and loves his older sissy so much! (Chloe, 15 yr old black retriever) The most recent surgery was a TPLO on his rear right leg that has helped tremendously. The wonderful people at Blackford Veterinary Surgery Referral would like to perform the same operation on the other rear leg to keep his knee from regularly popping out of place, and now, his parents would greatly appreciate financial support to do so. We have just passed the 12 week mark from his other rear leg and with surgery, exams, x-rays, etc. it has cost around $4500-$5000. Hearing that he really needs the other leg done puts us ($10000) at a challenging juncture. We are so grateful to ANYone who wanted to join us.

Luna
Luna is a 1-year-old Great Pyrenees in Knoxville, TN, who needs $2,000 for Open Reduction and Internal Fixation (ORIF).
Knoxville, TN
Luna came into my life at a really hard time. I had been wanting a new dog but my parents wouldn’t let me have her… In comes Luna and now she’s the light of my life. She’s actually in training to be my service animal. She’s an apartment dog, but has some escapist tactics sometimes and gets spooked easily. Luna is a lazy girl. She mostly likes to lay around and get all the love an attention she most definitely deserves. She likes to play, but refuses to bite you as she would rather bite herself. She could never harm a soul. She’s the sweetest thing ever! Luna is special because she is my first dog that I’ve gotten outside of family pets. She loves her brothers though and visits them frequently. Luna does this thing where she knows when you’re sad, and she’ll give you kisses… but if you’re not sad she won’t get her tongue anywhere near you. I think it’s pretty funny honestly. Luna recently came into some problems with her pelvis and hips possibly, but the biggest problem is her broken femur. She had an accident, that wasn’t anybody’s fault, especially not her own, but I promise she is greatly loved and supported. Her regular vet clinic is The Animal Clinic of Athens, but the night it happened we rushed her to Knoxville Pet Emergency Clinic. I don’t have a stable job as I’m in school 12 hours out of my day sometimes. College is practically a full time job and I don’t get any extra time for myself. When I can I will pick up odd jobs delivering packages and what not but it’s nowhere near enough:(

Luna
Luna is a 4-year-old Golden Retriever/ Australian Shephard in Loudon, TN, who needs $1,000 for Tibial Plateau Leveling Osteotomy (TPLO).
Loudon, TN
My husband is a delivery driver in a very rural area of East Tennesee. He noticed a yard with multiple dogs and puppies. They were living in the muddy barn. The mom had stopped nursing the pups at 6 weeks & a dog was nasty with this one pup. My husband brought her home! She had multiple health issues and neurological issues due to her poor nutrition. Luna is our only dog. She had 2 sheltie siblings who passed last year ( 1 from old age & diabetes the other from a ruptured intestine). She spends her day lounging with our lazy cat. When we get home, Luna runs for her favorite purple ball and we play fetch for countless hours. Outside, she's a frisbie fanatic. When the day is done, she turns into a 65 lb lap dog. Luna loves balls. Not just any ball, PURPLE balls. She will dig through her box to find the purple ball each time. She will hold it on your lap with her nose until you throw it. She even tosses it in the air or bats it around to play on her own. Her favorite solo game is to put it in a laundry basket and push the basket around the house. Because of Luna's excitement for her purple ball, she will run, slide and wipe out. She took a corner too sharp and tore her ACL tendon in her hind leg. Her ball chasing is over and we have to keep her sedated so she won't want to play. Now she lays on the floor with sad eyes and her purple ball by her paw. Our precious shelties died less than a year ago. Our Joey stopped eating and had to have emergengy surgery for a ruptured intestine. $6000 and he passed 2 days later. I was left with the bill. Now poor Luna needs surgery and I can't afford 2 large vet bills.
