We got Oscar from my wife's friend. we have had him since he was a baby. He is our snuggle buddy he sleeps with me.we also have his brother from another mother felix and two others that we have adopted bash and Henry. Oscar's perineal hernia is a very expensive surgery that he will have to have so he won't end up in a life threatening condition of bowel strangulation I am trying to find a vet to do the surgery because his normal vet doesn't do that surgery I have been trying to get the funds to do the surgery but have been denied from care credit for our fur baby Oscar so I am asking for financial help Oscar is a big part of our family he is very loved by his brothers and me and my wife who is disabled so we are not well off for a financial surprise surgery it will break our hearts to lose him if he doesn't have this surgery This is a time sensitive situation the surgery can cost from 1200 to 5000 and I am trying anything I can do for our fur baby he still has alot of life left to live so any help will be much appreciated beyond words

Maximus
Maximus is a 9 year old Mix-Breed in Joplin, MO, who needs $700 for Sedated X-Ray and Exam for ACL.
Joplin, MO
Maximus "Max" DuRossette has been my best friend 9.5 years. I got him at a low point in my life and he's been lifting my spirits ever since. He's sunshine everyday not just on the bad days, but the good ones too. Max has been limping for several weeks now. We took him to the vet where we were told he has possibly blown his ACL. In order to find out what is exactly wrong, max has to be put under and x-rays have to be taken. The cost of this is something i cannot currently afford. In addition, if he requires surgery after the x-ray and exam, that cost will be something I have to figure out as well. Max is the sweetest boy you'll meet. He doesn't know a stranger and if you hear him bark (which is rare) he's probably saying "hi" or "wanna play". Max loves to go to school and see all the kids and get all the lovins he can from them. If he had it his way, he would go to school with momma everyday and be with the kids. As a teacher who gets paid once a month and also has a second job, I do my best to take care of things on my own and not seek help from others. Not teaching summer school this past summer took away income I would normally have, so an unexpected expense makes it even harder.

Chico
Chico is a 7-year-old Chihuahua/Mix in Joplin, MO, who needs $400 for Xray.
Joplin, MO
Chico came into my life in 2018, I moved out of home at 16 and a friend gifted him to me. Looking back now he helped me through a lot. I wasn’t told much about him. He loves his brother Bruiser, we adopted bruiser in February of this year. I feel like his brother has help Chico stay young. My now fiancé and Chico have the best relationship. He used to be afraid of a lot of people and usually only likes to be around me but their bond is now inseparable. Chico has a funny personality, when he is comfortable and opens up. He is my best friend, we’ve been through a lot of my early adulthood struggles with me. He’s the smiling face that makes me so happy when I come home from a long day. When I got home the other day Chico didn’t run out of my room to greet me like usual. When I went in there and picked him up he yelped. I tried to check where the pain was coming from and the look in his eyes broke my heart. I applied for credit care and scratch pay and was denied. This is my last option, I know he’s getting older and things like this are going to happen but I wasn’t prepared. With a fixed income it’s hard living paycheck to paycheck. I now know as soon as I get my check I’m putting all of my dogs on pet insurance but this came out of the blue. I am so thankful for a resource like this and when I’m in the position I can’t wait to give back.

Callie
Callie is a 2-year-old Calico in Joplin, MO, who needs $880 for x-rays and an ultrasound.
Joplin, MO
Callie came into our life through a friend. That friend found her in a really bad home but couldn't take care of her so they gave her to us. We noticed Callie was getting skinnier and also not as energetic a few weeks ago. Well when it finally came time to take her to the vet, the situation was worse than we thought. She is at risk of being put down due to us not being able to afford vet bills. My daughter immediately fell in love with her. Callie has been in my daughter's life for 3 years now and my daughter loves her so much. Anytime my daughter isn't feeling well, Callie will go into her room, hop on her bed & cuddle with her until she feels better. Callie also watches over her by sitting by her door at night so my daughter isn't scared. My mother had fallen on the 22nd and broken her leg. She was the main source of income for us and so her losing her job put a financial burden on us. She then got Covid in December. It's just been an uphill battle ever since. Callie has been an all around healthy cat ever since we got her. She hasn't had any real pressing medical issues till now. The only thing that drove us insane was her constant meowing due to her being in heat, but other than that, she has been a very energetic and loving cat to me, my husband, my daughter and my mother. When Callie had energy, she would chase our other 3 cats around and act like a crackhead lol. She also would play with us behind the curtain while sun bathing. The funniest thing I think she has done is when we are taking a bath or shower, she will hop up onto the counter, onto the toilet and then come super close to the curtain and sniff to make sure we are okay.
