Macchiato

Macchiato is a 8 year old Mix-Breed in Boonville , MO, who needs $1,000 for C-section.

Boonville, MO

Macchiato has been with me since birth. She has been alive for 8 beautiful years, and we are praying to keep it that way. She had gotten out one night and unfortunately we hadn't gotten her fixed in time, she became pregnant with her 4th litter but she's having extreme complications that we can't afford at the moment and we are seeking aid. Anything would be greatly appreciated! <3 <3 She most likely needs to have an immediate c section and we can't gather the money quick enough to afford it because of other financial obligations. The Horton Animal Hospital estimated the cost to be $1,000 to give her the immediate care that she needs. Macchiato is my first baby, she may be furry but she's family. She helps keep me going. If my personality was summed up in a cat it would be her. Very vocal, opinionated even, at times a little moody, but overall the sweetest cat youll ever meet. She's my little buddy and loves to follow me all over the place. She is very precious to me. This is a sudden major expense that we can't gather in time to be able to get Macchi the immediate care she needs. The procedure will cost at least $1,000 and it would take months for us to save it up and we don't have the time. Anything would help immensely!

KC

KC is a 5 year old American Staffordshire Terrier in Kansas City, MO, who needs $2,000 for Cystostomy.

Kansas City, MO

KC was a rescue and a blessing, he came into my life August of 2019, he was approximately 2 months old. He was a rambunctious puppy but also had the Scooby syndrome of being curious but frightful. He became the son I never had. I have a daughter that is grown, so home alone, I needed that companionship and KC just became family, my son. In 2021 KC has to have surgery for bladder stones, at Horton Animal Hospital Discovery. After care was strict prescription diet. A couple weeks ago KC seemed to be having problems urinating, I rushed him to my local vet and he had a UTI and passed a stone. He was put in medication and a week later went in for another urinalysis, it seems to be worse now were talking about having to have surgery. KC is a big furry goof ball and seems to love to make you laugh. Like I said Scooby syndrome. He thoroughly enjoys being perched in the window on neighborhood patrol, almost like a cat. I can't imagine my life without him, he is my support system, he seems to know exactly the day I have had and the energy he needs to show to make me smile or laugh. I love him immensely. I work a full time job and I did have a little money saved but this last episode has wiped my savings out just the vet visits, trying to prevent another stone episode. I can't imagine having to euthanize my baby, who has so much life to live because of my financial situation

Thor

Thor is a 8 month old American Pit Bull Terrier in Harrisburg, MO, who needs $2,000 for Gastrotomy or Enterotomy.

Harrisburg, MO

Thor is an 8 month old American Bully. Thor's mom tried to eat him when he was first born, so he has a lightning bolt scar on his right arm, and a will to survive! Our sweet boy has been a part of our family, sleeping in our beds, and playing with our kids since he was knee high to a grasshopper. Thor has been known to completely destroy a chew toy, and it is believed that this habit may have lead to a GI Obstruction. He was seen by our primary vet on Wednesday and sent home with antibiotics, Yesterday he took a turn for the worst and was rushed to the animal hospital who found an obstruction that would certainly kill our sweet boy if left untreated. Thor is the best friend to my 6 year old twins, and my husband who has PTSD. He has been an amazing addition to our family, as he is calm, gentle, and loving. His hobbies are naps, eating, more naps, and cuddles. 2 years ago I left my job of 15 years to bring home my Mother who was dying from Alzheimer's. I was her only caretaker until her last breath 3 short weeks ago. My husband receives disability, and this is what we been surviving off of. It has been a struggle, but worth it.

Photo of Murphy

Murphy

Murphy is a 3-year-old Mixed Breed Dog in Boonville, MO, who needs $420 for Emergency Treatment.

Boonville, MO

Murphy has been with our family just shy of two weeks and we are smitten. Murphy was exhibiting allergy symptoms and the decision was made to switch him to allergy friendly food. Murphy has been vomiting, having diarrhea, and lethargic for 24+ hours. Today he went to the vet and was diagnosed with gastroenteritis. We were unable to afford the recommended treatment for him and were sent away. Murphy loves to cuddle up with his kids at night and help tuck them in. Murphy loves going for hikes with his family and playing at the dog park. Murphy is a BIG fan of peanut butter treats and back scratches! He loves visiting petsmart! He’s the perfect family companion and we are so glad he joined our family. Murphy is a character. He loves to lay around and cuddle up with family. Sometimes I think he thinks he’s a human! When he needs to go potty, he will jump around like a little bunny until you put on his harness and leash! It’s the cutest sight! Murphy also does toe taps when waiting for his treats and it looks like he’s two dancing! This is an easily treatable condition per his veterinarian. Murphy needs a 3 panel X-ray to verify he doesn’t have a blockage, fluids, probiotics, gastrointestinal food, and a potent nausea injection to get him back to normal. We are on a fixed income with four children. My husband and I both get paid Friday and can afford to pay the bills then but it’s cruel to make him suffer until then due to our inability to pay.

Finn

Finn is a 3-year-old Cat in Columbia, MO, who needs $2,000 for Perineal Urethrostomy.

Columbia, MO

Finn came into my life and became a light to me. He cuddles with me when I’m sad or lonely, and brings a smile to my face. Finn has had multiple Urinary Obstructions in the past 6 months despite feeding him specialized food, trying to limit stress, and putting him on a diet. UOs are very expensive and painful and life threatening. This surgery will make it possible for him to keep live. Finn lives with one other cat and a dog. He’s pretty patient and loves people more then anything. He is almost always happy and bright, wanting to cuddle and love on everyone he meets. Everybody loves Finn because he’s such a sweetheart. He always makes people happy and is so patient with medication. Finn makes me laugh every day. He finds joy with random things like pencils and lids. He zooms around and right after will lay down on your lap or in your arms for a long nap. He’s tried to hunt bugs but usually fails because his coordination is a bit off. Ever since he was a little kitten he has made my life better. Finn had his first urinary obstruction about 6 months ago. The cost for treatment is usually upwards of $1500 and causes him extreme discomfort. Without treatment UOs do cause death in cats. I feed him very expensive prescription food but he had another UO despite this. The only real long term treatment is a surgery that will cost anywhere from 2-3k and will likely prevent this in the future. I stress about my cat every day. I want nothing more then to give him a happy and healthy life. If I could have some help, maybe Finn can have a happier healthier life alongside me.

Buddy

Buddy is a 1-year-old Mix in Jefferson City, MO, who needs $2,000 for Treat Plate Fracture.

Jefferson City, MO

I got Buddy from the city animal shelter. I am unemployed and live alone. Buddy is my best buddy. I intended to get a kitten and went to shelter several times to find that special kitten. During one of those visits I met Buddy and fell in love with the little blue eyed boy. He is a very good and gentle dog. He and I get along very well. I live alone but do have family and friends around and who come to visit from time to time. Buddy is my only pet. He loves to join me on my bike rides. I have a bicycle and have trained him to run along side of me. We don't go too far at one time and take several breaks. I do not work so Buddy and I spend a lot of time together. I'm so thankful I waited for Buddy. Buddy is a very loving sensitive intelligent dog. He senses human emotion and human moods very well. And knowing this urges me to be more positive today. He is a great cuddle buddy even though I know he's uncomfortable he'll let me snuggle with them knowing that I'm happy lol. He's only one year old and very active and loves to play absolutely loves to play and run we take bike rides together. Buddy got hit by a car a very short distance away from home and has a broken femoral head on his back right leg it seems to need surgery a possible pin that runs through it it is a growth plate fracture but I trust that since he is young and in positive spirits that after surgery he will recover well. I hope and pray that I find a way to fix his leg so we do not have to amputate. I lost my job because the restaurant I worked for went out of business. Then Covid hit. I'm still unemployed. The blessing here is that I have the time to be Buddy's nurse, caregiver, and rehabilitation instructor.
