Snoopy

Snoopy is a 8-year-old Greyhound/Lab in Buckeye , AZ, who needs $2,000 for Chemotherapy - 25 Week University of Wisconsin-Madison Protocol.

Buckeye, AZ

Snoopy came into my life in 2016. I adopted him when I was 21 years old and he was 1 and a half. I am now 28 and he is 8. Snoopy is my soul dog and has been with me for most of my 20’s which is really special. He lives with me and my husband and our second dog, Tucker. Tucker is 4 years old and was adopted a year ago. Snoopy and Tucker are completely bonded and are best friends. Snoopy loves to go for long walks or run at the dog park or dog beach. He is a greyhound so he absolutely loves to run and wrestle with Tucker. I work from home and he loves to be by my side all day and sometimes even nap in the chair in my office. Everyone in my life loves Snoopy or “Snoop dog” and he also loves to meet new dog friends. It’s really hard to put into words how special Snoopy is. I think the way he looks is so unique and we often get stopped on our walks because of how different he is. He makes me laugh everyday when he gets treats. We call them good boy treats and he takes about 3-4 minutes to jump around the treat and play with it before he eats it. He just loves life and is so happy each day. About 1 month ago Snoopy was diagnosed with B-Cell Lymphoma. This is a very aggressive cancer in dogs and without treatment most dogs live for 1-2 months after diagnosis. With this cancer being so aggressive, we were very lucky to find an oncologist in Arizona who got him an appointment right away. He is on a chemotherapy treatment plan, which is very successful in helping dogs reach remission. His diagnosis was completely unexpected and the chemotherapy is 25 weeks long which is extremely expensive. But, with treatment we buy him more time and will get him into remission, which will extend his life.

Lucas

Lucas is a 12-year-old Chihuahua in Surprise , AZ, who needs $2,000 for Electrochemotherapy.

Surprise, AZ

I’ve had Lucas since he was 2 months old. Lucas became the son I could not have and the only one who has given me so much love for his entire life. I suffer from severe depression and from fibromyalgia which has made it impossible to sustain a job because I am constantly in pain. I can’t afford his chemotherapy treatment to get rid of the cancer. I am asking for help so I don’t lose him. Lucas is elderly and slow moving, but always wants to be included in walks and play. He loves snacks, but his favorite thing to do is cuddle. He’s a very affectionate dog and always knows when something is wrong and I need him the most. He loves laying out in the Sun, but complains about bath time. He’s a lovely grumpy chihuahua that expects the very best and promises to love you forever. Lucas will lick you for as long as you let him and don’t let him. He strategically sits on your foot or hand with his bum and has no awareness of personal space. When eating at the kitchen table he inserts himself in between your calves like a sandwich. He grumbles if you don’t immediately give him attention and he wins every staring contest without blinking. He had a lump appear on his hind leg beside his tail. It was removed when it was about golf ball size, grew back to the size of a softball, and was removed again in surgery. The recovery was very hard for him. The labs showed it was a cancerous tumor that is likely to grow back without chemo. I lost my husband recently and don’t have a job or health care to treat my auto immune disease. I am heartbroken that I don’t have the funds to save his life.

Chupa

Chupa is a 9-year-old Pitbull Mix in Phoenix, AZ, who needs $2,000 for 25 Week University of Wisconsin-Madison B-Cell Canine Lymphoma Protocol.

Phoenix, AZ

Chupa was wandering the streets of Tempe, Arizona in August 2014. I found him outside my townhome and walked around the block with him to see if anyone recognized him or lost him. This is when Chupa came into my life. He is so sweet and loves to cuddle and be pet. He enjoys playing with my other dog who is a German shepherd and twice his size but she's my service dog and so gentle with him. Chupa is welcome to sleep on the bed with me and loves to cuddle. He enjoys hiking and camping. He loves to eat and enjoys when I give him treats which I call cookie snacks. He loves when you pet him and will nudge up under your arm to get pet and once you start petting him you can't stop. If you stop here will put his paw out and ask you to continue showing him love and affection. I am a disabled vet surviving on my VA disability pay. I suffer from PTSD and severe depression from my tour in Iraq. Chupa helps me emotionally and I'll do anything for him. I spent $1,536 and seen 3 vets just for diagnosis and now cancer treatment is $6,241 on top of that. In March, I took Chupa to the first vet and they said he looked fine. A week later I decided to try a different vet and they took some blood. He had hypercalcemia and they wanted to run more tests. The following week he wasn't eating as much and I knew something was wrong. I took him to a third vet who found his cancer. I'm now seeing integrative vet oncology for his cancer treatment for lymphoma. Watching Chupa play fight with my other dog is hilarious. He runs away as she chases him and then quickly stops and turns his body to avoid her and then bumps her with his butt. He will put his paws around her neck playing even though she's twice his size. The thing that I love the most about Chupa is how loving and affectionate he is. When I'm feeling sad and depressed he cheers me up.

Moo

Moo is a 9-year-old Pitbull Mix in Phoenix, AZ, who needs $1,000 for surgery and immuno therapy.

Phoenix, AZ

Moo found me at 6 months old while I was walking through my apartment complex, her original owners couldn't keep her. I knew that day the connection we had was definitely. A soul connection. Since that day we have been best friends and been on so many adventures. Moo is my soul animal! She has been the one solid in my life through good and bad. This dog knows me better than I know me. Moo loves her back yard, she loves basking in the sun and chasing lizzards. She is 1 of 5 in our pack but she is Queen Moo. They all love playing ball and hiking and being water dogs. My bed room is there bedroom and every morning it's like a dog bed obstacle course. My dogs are my life and bring such love to me. During the last year my husband was laid off and still trying to play catch-up. I had Care Credit and used it for some of Moos other treatments and still trying to pay that off. And now the cancer came back and Moo needs more treatment. She is still full of. Love and life 💗 At 4 years of age mood developed a bump which we found out after taking her to the vet was a mast cell tumor. Moo had her first surgery and they did not get good margins on the cancer. Moo is now 9 and had two more surgeries she also had chemotherapy. The cancer has returned and needs more treatment. Moo is seeing. Dr.. Hershey at Integrative Veterinary oncology. My Moo can be the smartest on point disciplined girl and in a second Moo is a wild child and loves to play. She is very vocal and let's you know when she wants something. Nothing beats coming home from a long day and she's waiting in the window.or sitting down and she comes and puts her head in my lap and gives me love.

Photo of Riley

Riley

Riley is a 4-year-old Labrador Retriever mix in Mesa, AZ, who needs $1,600 for chemotherapy to treat lymphoma.

Mesa, AZ

This is my Riley, he just turned 4 in July. For the past 2 years he has been dealing with a severe case of valley fever (normal numbers are in the teens range, his were in the high 200's, not good). The vets were surprised it didn't kill him, however he is a fighter. He's been on the road to recover now but that is an expensive treatment as well (tests, drugs, pain meds). Now for the real reason, I took Riley in for swollen glands, less than a week later mine and his world changed with the news of Lymphoma. I was devastated to say the least. How can this happen at the young age of 4????
