Seko
Seko is a 4 year old French Bulldog in Los Angeles, CA, who needs $5,000 for Neurological MRI and Spinal Tap.
Los Angeles, CA
I rescued Seko about 9 months ago from heartbreaking, terrible conditions. Despite his rough past, this sweet French Bulldog learned to trust and became my whole world. He isn't just a pet; he is my child. He now shares a safe, loving home with his inseparable sibling, Sevlo. Watching Seko finally experience a happy life is my greatest joy. My world stopped when Seko suddenly lost his balance and couldn't walk. We rushed him to Dr. Jeremy O'Neill at Metropolitan Animal Specialty Hospital (MASH). He suspects a severe brain inflammation or vestibular issue. Seko desperately needs a specialized MRI and a spinal tap to get a definitive diagnosis and the right treatment, but the emergency costs are overwhelming. Seko has a beautiful spirit that lights up any room. Even now, while struggling with his balance and vertigo, he tries so hard to be his usual loving self. He is the ultimate cuddle bug. His bond with his brother Sevlo is incredibly pure; Sevlo knows something is wrong and stays right by his side. Seko is a fighter, and I just want my happy, playful boy back. This sudden $5,000+ emergency MRI expense hit me hard. I have no emergency fund, and my medical credit applications were denied. Seeing my sweet rescued boy healthy and walking alongside his brother Sevlo again would mean the absolute world to me.

Daisy
Daisy is a 7 year old Golden Retriever in Los Angeles, CA, who needs $5,000 for MRI, Bloodwork, Catheter, Chest Radiographs, CSF.
Los Angeles, CA
Daisy has been with my wife since she was a puppy, and I was lucky enough to her in 2023 (when my wife and I started dating). We moved all moved in together in August, 2023! The three of us just moved to a smaller apartment earlier this year, and we are currently waiting a baby girl! Both my wife and I have full-time jobs, and I am also trying to finish my Bachelor's Degree at CSULB! On March 23, Daisy had a grand mal seizure that lasted about 1.5-2 minutes. She has always been a healthy dog, besides a few ear infections, so we were caught off guard. Our vet only found an abnormal level of AST enzymes in her liver, so we started a liver supplement. However, she had another on May 10th, so we took her to MASH, where they recommended an MRI after a neuro appointment. Daisy is the sweetest and easiest dog that I have ever interacted with! She is loving, caring, calm, great with people and kids, and honestly, a little awkward with other dogs! She is not an aggressive dog at all. I actually have never seen her growl or even bark at someone. We joke that she is mute, but I have heard her bark at birds a few times. She is a bit of a scaredy cat, also! We love her! My wife and I are waiting for a baby, so our finances have been really tight recently. We have no family close to us, and I have been trying to make money with multiple jobs, but it is really difficult! I am really scared of not having enough money to treat our sweet Daisy!

Mojo
Mojo is a 6 year old Pug in Pasadena, CA, who needs $1,725 for MCT Vulva Reconstruction, UTI Treatments.
PASADENA, CA
When I first rescued Mojo, a breeder mama from the desert, she was looking for her babies and starving— ribs showing, and weighed only 14 pounds. I brought her home and discovered she suffered from severe brachycephalic airway issues — including an elongated soft palate causing dangerous breathing obstruction, requiring a soft palate resection (staphylectomy) to help her breathe safely. Over the past two years, Mojo has endured multiple major health challenges. She’s had recurring UTIs needing repeated treatments, major dental surgery removing eight teeth, & mast cell cancer (MCT) surgery with four surgical sites. Despite all this, she’s persevered with strength, love and joy, even when costs became overwhelming. All surgeries were done at Metropolitan Animal Specialty Hospital. Today Mojo is thriving — her breathing is improved, UTIs are resolved, and cancer treatments are behind her. She’s full of energy, loves cuddles and treats, and has grown from 14 pounds to a healthier 17 pounds. But the vet bills from her life-saving care remain, and I’ve exhausted my resources after losing my job during Covid and being on disability, leaving us needing community support. This is Round 1 with a goal of $1,725 to cover a portion of Mojo’s remaining vet bills. She’s fought so hard & deserves to thrive. Every contribution brings us closer to her continued care. Please help Mojo keep breathing easy, living happy, & enjoying every joyful moment.

Vincent
Vincent is a 10 year old American Shorthair in Los Angeles, CA, who needs $8,000 for Segmental Resection Surgery.
Los Angeles, CA
Vincent is named after the song “Vincent” by Don McLean. I rescued him 10 years ago from a shelter in my hometown of Johannesburg when he was 3 months old. I was 17 and deeply depressed, and Vincent helped to pull me out of it. When I started building a life in the US, I brought him here. He lives with me and my two roommates, and is an only child because he needs to be the center of attention. Vincent has an adenocarcinoma tumor in his intestines that has been making it very increasingly hard for him to digest food. The tumor is growing rapidly and he has to have surgery this week to remove it in order to prevent it from completely blocking his intestines and killing him. He is being treated by Dr Jana Norris at Metropolitan Animal Specialty Hospital. Everyone who’s met Vincent knows how perfect he is and how much joy he brings. He is super friendly to be humans and always wants to be part of group hangouts. He’s cuddly, chatty, loving, social, needy and full of personality. He loves sitting on things that I need to use, appearing on zoom calls, forehead kisses, belly rubs, and sniffing any food anyone eats just to make sure it’s not for him. In addition to the tumor, last year Vincent has dealt with other health issues that required expensive treatment, eating up my emergency funds. This surgery costs significantly more than I make in a month, let alone have available to me.

Salem
Salem is a 2 year old Maine Coon in Simi Valley, CA, who needs $10,000 for Femoral Head Osteotomy Unilateral Hip Surgery.
Simi Valley, CA
I purchased Salem from a reputable breeder after being scammed twice online. I have always had rescues. I have two rescues plus Salem my purebred. My cats are my family and want for nothing. I have perches everywhere and loads of toys for them. Salem is 1-1/2 years old and has a fractured right hip and atrophied left hip. He is in pain and is on medication and scheduled for right hip HFO on 1/17. He will then be scheduled for his left hip. He is a very loving animal and always likes to be around people. He grooms my 26 pound tuxedo on a daily basis. All my cats are friends and get along. I am on a fixed income retired basically on Social Security. I will be 79 on the day Salem has his first surgery to improve his quality of life. It is very hard for him to jump up. The surgery is between $6078 to $7468 per hip.

Skye
Skye is a 5 Month Old French Bulldog in Los Angeles, CA, Who Needs $2,000 for Rectal Resection and Colopexy.
Los Angeles, CA
Our little Skye was born July 13, 2025 and as adorable and precious as could be. She was full of personality and energy she would commandeer any cabinet or shelf she could reach and make it her fortress. She loved her little stuffed animal "Chai" (we named it to rhyme with Skye) and you could find Skye and Chai together anywhere. On Oct 31, 2025, when Skye was just over 3 months old I noticed part of her colon had prolapsed outside of her. Of course nervous and frantic we rushed her to the closest 24 hour vet ER where they did a purse string surgery to stitch everything back inside. About a week after it happened again, we got her another surgery. Then again, it prolapsed. She needs a more intense very expensive surgery Skye brought so much happiness and smiles into our world. She is cute as a button and loves to be cuddled and loves to sleep right on top of you. She loves to play with our two other older dogs and they love her back just as much as her humans. We never dreamed that at just 3 months old our time with her could be cut way too short, a thought too heavy to bear. Skye requires a surgery now where they will have to remove and resection part of her colon and stitch the remaining intestines to her stomach to prevent the prolapse from happening again. this of course is a way more complicated surgery than the purse string and more costly

Mojo
Mojo is a 6 year old Pug in Pasadena, CA, who needs $7,700 for 3 Mast Cell Tumor Excisions, Vulva Reconstruction.
PASADENA, CA
Mojo, my silly 6-year-old rescue pug, has endured neglect, starvation, and relentless breeding before coming home with me. Once frightened and wild, she is now a joyful, tail-wagging shadow who follows me everywhere. She brings warmth, laughter, and constant companionship, turning my quiet home into a place full of love and light. But there was a problem: A growing lesion was found on her vulva! After major dental surgery in Jan., a recent biopsy confirmed mast cell cancer (MCT). The pathology showed no clean margins, meaning cancer wasn’t fully removed. Mojo then underwent a second, more extensive surgery at Metropolitan Animal Specialty Hospital. Tumors were found on her shoulder, tummy, & vulva, requiring a full reconstruction. Without immediate treatment, her life was in grave danger. Mojo’s spirit remains unshaken. She leaps for treats, nudges me for attention, and radiates love despite all she has endured. Her resilience, humor, and devotion make her one-of-a-kind. With careful monitoring and overnight hospital stays, her recovery has been remarkable. Every moment with her reminds me how precious life is and why she deserves every chance to thrive. I live on disability and the first surgery drained my all resources. This life-saving procedure cost $7,700. Time was critical, her tumors were growing fast, so I acted immediately. The surgery saved her life, but the bill still needs to be paid. Can you please help?

Harry Winston
Harry Winston is a 9 month old Maltese in Porter Ranch, CA, who needs $2,000 for Enucleation Surgery by Ophthalmologist.
Porter Ranch, CA
Harry Winston graced the live of our 4 children during the most recent holiday. He was a little over 8 weeks old when we welcomed him into our home (and beds). Our 4 kids had shown maturity and a level of responsibility commensurate with that of caring for a small dog and Harry Winston was a perfect match! However, one afternoon a couple of weeks back, he injured his eye while playing out back. I called around to several animal clinics and hospitals throughout the valley area (818) of Los Angeles. Unfortunately, not too many of them have an Ophthalmologist on hand and his left eye had not only gotten swollen and blinded but needed to be removed. Eye removal comes at a high cost that our family was not prepared to endure. We’ve considered extreme options to make him more comfortable. But Harry Winston is so sweet! He’s adorable and energetic and in the evening he’s the most ferocious guard dog (the Cane Corso is his spirit animal). His barks alone spook the wrinkles out of the backyard canopy and the unruly squirrels and wandering possums. Our kids, ages 6-17, all adore him and he reciprocates their love affectionately, following anyone moving about (likely hoping for snacks). I’ve been on short term disability and my pay has been anywhere near the same level and does not support a $1500+ vet bill for eye removal and post surgery care. We accept he’s blind in one eye but we need to have it removed as it just decaying and likely inviting infections

Lulu
Lulu is a 4 year old French Bulldog in Montebello, CA, who needs $2,000 for MRI.
Montebello, CA
Lulu was abandoned by a breeder and is only four years old. She has been in our family for approximately six-eight months. Lulu was going to be euthanized; a friend reached out to me and asked if we could save her. She’s been a great companion. She’s a sweet dog! Lulu seemed uncomfortable and was whimpering. We immediately took her to the vet at Walnut Creek Animal Hospital. It was there she was seen by both Dr. Mallick Sr. And Jr. who diagnosed her with a soft-tissue injury. They both suggested possible x-rays which we did have done for Lulu. The x-rays showed no fracture or breaks. Lulu was seen by a neurologist who suggested we have an MRI/Surgery. Lulu was seen by Dr. Sigarroa at MASH who suspects she is in the beginning stages of IVDD. Lulu is a sweet dog and she’s so friendly. She loves running and playing. She gets along well with other dogs and cats as well. The expense of an MRI and possible surgery is immense. We want Lulu to have the required MRI and if possible surgery so that she can have a full life.

Prince
Prince is a 9 year old Rat Terrier in Los Angeles, CA, who needs $2,000 for Tumor/Mass Removal.
Los Angeles, CA
Prince has been our family pet for about 9 years, we've had him sine he was a couple months old and my god he has been so important to us that he's actually become part of the family. Anywhere and everywhere we go prince is always gonna be there, he's so lovable and sily when you get to know him and he gets to know you. We unfortunately got news during late december to early january that he has internal masses obstructing is colon which we later also found out that the masses also have cancer. We currently found a hospital ( Kinder 4 Rescue) that could do the surgery to remove at least 50% of ther masses to guarentee him a bit more time for us to cheerish him. Prince is special because of how loving he is and silly. He's always wanting to play with his toys or even fighting with my dad and I whenever he thinks we're gonna steal his treats away from him. He's friendly to everyone in our family cause he know they absolutely love him and he loves the attention. Granted he's a bit iffy around strangers but eventually he come around and Is friendly overall. Currently my dad is the only one working and most of our savings have been spent on the vet visits lately trying to get x-rays, ultrasounds, and getting bloodwork done. The most we'd want is the chance to spend some more time with him before saying goodbye.

Bentley
Bentley is a 14 month old Yorkshire Terrier in Valley Village, CA, who needs $2,000 for Oxygen and Hospitalization.
Valley Village, CA
Bentley came into my life as a bday gift for my sister Jessica. She turned 21 YO and wanted nothing more than a pet. We never got the experience of having a pet. My mom and dad both worked so when Jessica said she wanted a pet, we laughed. She consistently visited a pet store LOL so we did a little research and Bentley entered our lives. Ben is 14 YO, diabetic and currently has pnemonia. We took him to MASH in Los Angeles, he has been struggling to breath. He has not been eating and sadly, I still have been trying He is so special in many ways, he has given me life. Personally, he is the love of my life, God didn't give me kids, but he gave me a fur baby. I look at him and everything feels better. He is so happy when I come home, he is my best friend. We have mommy doggy dates, he just makes life, life. I am not working as much. I was laid off in NOV and have been seeking work. Sadly the job market is terrible and truth - VET service is so expensive.

MojoDoozi
MojoDoozi is a 5 year old Pug in PASADENA, CA, who needs $2,000 for Comprehensive Dental Surgery.
PASADENA, CA
Campaign Pt. 1 "SnagglePuss" MojoDoozi, an amazing young pug, was found starving in the California desert after having babies. She's had extensive medical attention already & when I went to have her teeth cleaned, found she needs substantial repairs. She needs tooth extractions + cleaning. We’ve consulted Dr. Hobson at MASH in LA, a specialist in dental/head trauma for dogs. Bone loss is occurring—removing the canine root near her sinuses is risky, especially in a brachycephalic pug. She also has a cracked molar, and its treatment depends on X-rays during the procedure. As you can see, Mojo, the SnagglePuss, is playful & silly. She wakes me every morning too early by crawling up from under the covers and annoying me. "Get up you lazy Good-for-Nothing!" Of course she sleeps with me, how else would I keep my feet warm? 😴 I lost my job during COVID, & my fixed income leaves me unable to meet expenses. We’re doing this work now to prevent worse issues, pain, & higher costs later. I can’t bear the thought of losing her just because I can’t afford the care she needs. I'm hoping you can help. 🙏

Bambam
Bambam is a 2 year old Italian Greyhound in Culver City, CA, who needs $2,000 for Ultrasound/ IV Fluids/Overnight Stay in ER.
Culver City, CA
Bambam came to live with Pebbles who had horrible separation anxiety until Bambam came into her life. Her original name was Chloe, named after my best friend who passed away and it was a sign she was meant to be with us Bambam became ill suddenly. She’s only 2 1/2 years old. She was in perfect health. Two weeks ago she became ill, extremely fatigued and aches when touching her. Vet gave antibiotics which seemed to help but then she got worse. Labs were taken and she has extremely high levels of enzymes on her liver labs. She needs to go to the ER and get an ultrasound to find out what is wrong with her She is Pebbles best friend and support for her anxiety issues. She’s also my best friend and support grieving from the loss of my best friend, who her original owner had named her after. She’s the sweetest most loving dog who loves to cuddle and give love It cost over $1,000 for the labwork and the ER visit with the ultrasound alone will be at least another $1,000. The vet said they will probably want to keep her for a couple of days and I’m expecting it will cost at least $3,000.

Mojo
Mojo is a 5 year old Pug in PASADENA, CA, who needs $1,835 for Bladder Ultrasound/Urinalysis/Nutrition Consult.
PASADENA, CA
MojoDoozi ("Monkey") a young rescue pug who arrived in terrible shape, wild, anxious, starving, ribs showing, (14 lbs now 18) w many things wrong incl a UTI.Found in the desert where she had been bred for babies.A friend in rescue asked me if I wanted her &of course I did. I'd had several pugs before &loved the breed. She knew nothing of a leash, commands, manners. She still looks for her babies. Many UTIs later treatment has been unsuccessful, peeing over 10x's a day or more changed food/antibiotics but ultrasound still is not normal, possibly polyps? She needs board certified internist w experience in the bladder, no more guessing & if warranted a home cooked diet w supplements to keep her bladder healthy. Metropolitan Animal Specialty Hosp (MASH) in LA w vet nutritionist I used yrs ago She's playful, eager to please, has learned all basic obedience plus can Catch treats. So attached, follows me everywhere, sleeps in my bed, loves walks, is friendly to all. But she jumps onto friends dining tables & chows down whatever is there, scavenging from her old days of starving.(The meatballs were SO good not 2 mention the bundt cake! (We're still working on that). She’s a survivor! I lost my job during Covid & haven’t recovered, cannot find a job at my age, not even able to make my own ends meet. How can I take care of my little Monkey? Imagine having a bladder infection all your life! She deserves better.

Sasha
Sasha is a 4-year-old French Bulldog in Oxnard, CA, who needs $2,000 for MRI.
Oxnard, CA
Sasha came into our life when she was 9 months old. She was so tiny. He took her in when her owner was unable to provide for her. She is now 4yrs old and she has brought so much joy into our home. Sasha sleeps in bed with me or with her brothers. She also has her own bed in every room of the house. She will refuse to sleep on the floor. She has 3 human brothers that love her so much. They love to play hide n seek with her. She is also good at playing tag and baseball. She is literally the sweetest. Sasha makes everyone laugh when she shows off her “fartsy” sounds. She isn’t shy to show how loud they can get it. She loves her toys but more than anything her ball. When we first brought her home she was terrified, so we took her to the pet store, and bought her a small ball. We rolled it a few times and she was no longer afraid. The ball became her favorite play toy and safety. Sasha was diagnosed with IVDD. She suddenly developed symptoms that worsen within hours. She now needs an MRI and surgery that we are unable to afford. We have insurance but it will not cover these medical expenses. We are now dependent of my partners income. He works very hard to support me and our 3 sons and little Sasha. Last year my health took an unexpected route, and I am unable to work. Sasha means so much to our family. My middle son has autism and she’s a huge support to him.

Crockett Roper
Crockett Roper is a 7-month-old Mix in North Hollywood, CA, who needs $1,288 for Emergency Testing and Hospitalization.
North Hollywood, CA
Crockett is a 7 mo. old pup who lives with his me in Los Angeles, CA. He was rescued just this past July, when his previous family wasn't able to keep him, and Crockett has melted into our hearts immediately. He's a pure sweetheart & a SUCH a character; we're attached at the hip (I'm on the taller side-he's mixed with Dachshund). I was looking for a best friend—just as he was looking for a home. My best bud, loves to go everywhere with me. Crockett is a lil pupper with a big heart & a nearly infinite supply of playful energy. He loves to explore, run around, & meet friends! He's adores his aunties & uncles who come and play with him a lot. Everyone he crosses paths with can't resist his outgoing yet gentle personality. He's spoiled rotten (from the pics you can see why!). Crockett is actually very music oriented! He loves when I sing to him or play the harmonica. He even has a favorite song. Each time I put on 'Brooklyn Bridge to Chorus' by the Strokes, Crockett will always gets hyped! His favorite toy is from his Aunt Jess--a squeaky gator he'd die for, and is in his mouth when wakes his mama up every morning without fail. Crockett was having a ball, zoomin, and playing at a friend's building yard area while helping with some woodworking. When suddenly, something was wrong. Auntie & mama noticed his panting became whimpers, and he seemed way too lethargic. Alarmed and in a panic, we scooped him up & went to Metropolitan Animal Specialty Hospital. After some testing, they were able to administer & save his life! I recently left my job due to a concerning decline in health code standards. I felt unsafe working there and not right about establishment. Unfortunately this coincided with Crockett's emergency treatment incident, which has put a huge financial stress on our family.

Mom Jeans
Mom Jeans is a 2-year-old Tuxedo Cat in Los Angeles, CA, who needs $2,000 for Urinary Tract Infection Treatment.
Los Angeles, CA
Mom Jeans, named after my partner’s favorite band, has become just as much my cat as he is my partner’s. The three of us live together, sleep together, exist together…It is difficult to imagine an existence as happy as one with him in my life. Although he gets severely anxious around new people, he gets quite attached once you spend enough time around him. Every night when I come home from work, he’ll be waiting for me at the front door, and come to life as soon as I walk in. Whenever I sit at my desk for too long, MJ makes himself known and jumps onto my desk, rubbing his furry body across my face and then plopping right on top of my keyboard. It’s hard to want to shoo such a loveable little boy, although equally just as hard to work on homework with him blocking my computer screen, haha:) Although I did plenty research on what pet foods are best for a cat, and how to make sure an indoor cat feels loved, I couldn’t predict that a random UTI infection would bring him close to death. I couldn’t let him go without giving him a fighting chance, and I felt a deep want to treat him, even though I knew the costs would be steep. My partner suffers from physical disabilities that forced them to quit their previous job, and as a result we’ve not only been short on rent but now also have a cat with large medical costs on our hands. I want to save him, but we are in deep need of help.

Otis
Otis is a 23-month-old Labrador Retriever Mix in Los Angeles , CA, who needs $2,000 for Septic Abdominal Surgery.
Los Angeles, CA
We got Otis when he was only four weeks old. Our cousin told about how a friend of his told him about a dog that had puppies and they needed a home and if they didn’t find one they were gunna get put down. So our cousin let us know and we decided that we would take Otis in our family. He has been nothing but a blessing and joy to me and my family. Otis love everyone and he brings a smile to everyone from toddlers to elders. He is very attached to my one of my younger brothers. He loves him so much he chases everyone who messes with him it’s like he is his shadow. But nonetheless he loves everyone. He is a gentle spirit he loves the lake so much he enjoys swimming any chance he gets. He loves to sleep in my brothers bed. He loves to chase people and he also has little hops when he sees that he will get treats or food and he loves to roll around in the grass and he loves to play soccer. He loves to play fetch with anything at any given moment of the day. He was experiencing a lot of vomiting and one morning he was so lethargic that he couldn’t move or stand so we room him to the emergency hospital and they found out he had a foreign object in his intestine and they needed to do surgery but he had a 30-40% chance of making it through and the only other choice was to humanely euthanize him. But we couldn’t not give him another shot at life. I am a full time college student and have a part time job and I can’t lose my best friend and I can’t hold that burden of not giving him a second chance to live his life. I know most people have pets and couldn’t imagine life without them. Otis means the work to me and many.

GRINGO
GRINGO is a 5-year-old Flamepoint Cat in Los Angeles, CA, who needs $1,650 for Ultrasound, Comprehensive CBC Panel, Urinalysis, Exam, Consult, Possible Echo, Medications, Possible Breathing Treatment.
Los Angeles, CA
Gringo is a beautiful soft white flame point approx 5 year old neutered cat. He was abandoned by his original owner at my 5-plex. Calls to the owner to come take care of him and take him home would go unanswered so the woman next door to me would take care of him, & feed him. It was getting to costly & difficult for her. She re-homed him. But he escaped the 1st night and was lost for 4 months!! I had been desperately searching for Gringo as we had a special bond but I just had lost my dog, am disabled, and financially getting it together but this was the place for him to decompress. He trusts me. He was SO happy to get love & cuddles again but I was not expecting he'd be so ill! It was like a bomb went off in the happy story. I just want him to have the health and home he deserves. Gringo is the most loving cat. For everything he has been through he is smart as a whip! He had never used a litter box and takes to potty commands & I'm mind blown. He always was the sweetest among the "strays". He just wanted to chill and love and be loved. He loves to play and is quite the gymnast. His show of affection is to often reach his paw to touch my hand or my mouth & let it sit there. Gringo looked and seemed so healthy before he was lost in the cold and rain in the foothills. who knows what he survived. His xrays look awful and show a belly filled with congestion that the doctor says is either bronchitis, pneumonia, asthma, or cancer. This is very traumatizing as my dog had breathing issues. He needs treatment. I've had 15 years back to back injuries. I had multiple surgeries, a rear end collision that injured my upper body and I was just starting to get better. I NEED help for him & for me. I'm only on SSI currently. It's hard on us both. Your help would be changing lives!!

Ed
Ed is a six-month-old Pit Bull mix in Los Angeles, CA, who needs $2,000 for spinal surgery.
Los Angeles, CA • Love Leo Rescue
Puppy Ed is a true underdog who needs a chance. Love Leo Rescue first saved Ed when he was just a few weeks old and was abandoned in a park. "He was covered in ringworm and needed weeks of treatment," Sasha A., with the rescue, tells Waggle. Then Ed's foster mom noticed something was not quite right with his back legs. An MRI revealed Ed has a cyst on his spine that is compressing his discs and causing difficulty walking. If the cyst is not removed, Ed could lose his mobility permanently. "It was clear we only had one choice for him: to get him a complicated and big surgery to remove the offending cyst," Sasha says. "Love Leo Rescue is a non-profit 501c3 that takes in many medical dogs in need, just like Ed. Donations toward his treatment and care would help tremendously so we can continue to save more lives, just like him." Please help Ed get his operation and a fantastic future. "Despite his mobility issues, Ed loves to play and be as active as he can," Sasha says. "Ed is perfect with other dogs, cats, and kids. He has the sweetest temperament and has shown nothing but happiness and gratitude. Ed is a sweet and silly boy who falls in love with everyone he meets."

The way he talk to us with his eyes melts our hearts. I have never experienced this in my life. I am an elderly 82 year old that all I have is this dog. I am on SSI and cannot afford $8500 cataract surgery. The vet says I don't do the surgery he will become blind soon I only have another two weeks to get the surgery done. He became diabetic after a wrong medication was prescribed to him. and developed cataract. Access Woodland hills. He was a very healthy dog until he started coughing in January and I took him to vet. the vet prescribed steroid medication and that made him become diabetic and since then he developed cataract very fast. understand me and gives me love. He is the most patient of all. He loves playing with his toys and balls. He loves the dog park and loves sitting next to me and relax. Above all is that what ever he wants to do he asks for permission by looking at me. for example when I open the door for him to go out he asks for permission to come back inside. He waits until I tell him come on in.

Ezmerelda
Ezemerelda is a 1-year-old corgi mix in West Hollywood , CA, who needs $1,900 for PDA surgery.
West Hollywood, CA
Ezmerelda came from a special family where all her other brothers and sisters where pale and creamy and full of confidence with rambunctious energy and all larger than little Ezzie, they jumped and played all over her while she laid quiet, shy and reserved in the Tommy’s Little Angel’s shelter in LA where she soon came to meet her new forever home. Ezmerelda is a happy go lucky easy breezy gal who loves to play and get scratches on her belly. She loves to get pats from every human she see’s and is just mad about treats. She loves the dog park with all her friends and kissing everyones face off. Loves to sleep on the bed with her human and run in her tunnels and play tents and spends hours in the mirror playing and high fiving herself. No steady income, recently divorced, with health bills and credit card debts etc, i can only say she saved me after an attempted suicide and i would and wont be here without her. Ezzie has developed a PDA from Birth when the valve in her heart her mother would use to supply her blood stayed open, so she has a bigger heart than usual which would mean as she grows her heart becomes to big and will flow and push into her lungs which will not see her past 1years old. Metropolitan Animal Specialty Hospital will be performing the Surgery under the care of Dr Courtney Smith She the smartest puppy you'll ever meet. She follows her daddy everywhere he goes off the leash and around her house, she fetch’ s her ball and brings it back swiftly with the biggest smile, she loves whipped cream and the little moustache, She cant stand anything in her water bowl including her own dirt when she digs on her lawn, she’ll paw at the water until she can take every individual spec.

Moses
Moses is a 12-year-old Terrier Mix in North Hollywood, CA, who needs $1,999 for an amputation.
North Hollywood, CA
He had me at hello. All hero’s need a good origin story, this is his. I spotted him at a work/adoption event dangling over the shoulder of a colleague, bug-eyed and ears pert. I whisked him off and adopted him. It was the start of the recession when so many pets were being abandoned. I named him Moses and told folks I found him floating down the LA River in a cardboard box—He is legend. Moses is the baby and likes it that way. I adopted him for my border collie who loved little dogs. She would hold him down and groom him till he looked like a wet pencil troll and smelled like the inside of her mouth. He interacts with nearly everyone as the little brother—sandwiching himself between anyone sitting close together. He desperately wants you to preen him, fluff and fold him. I am 82 years old, and on social security and the cost nearly prohibitive. He is my sole companion during the pandemic and losing him would be intolerable. Any help would be tremendous. Mo injured his front left paw while mucking around in the back yard. It’s a mystery how it happened. The injury is a laceration on his toe exposing the bone. His vet did everything possible but it's not healing and a second opinion from a surgeon at Metropolitan Animal Specialty Hospital (MASH) has confirmed that the only option left is to amputate his toe with in the next week to prevent infection. Moses is under the watchful eye of my camera constantly. I project upon his gentle demeanor a mischievous dog stalking a kitten through a door-him wearing my wigs when I’m not around-the specter in my closet-or playing possum in my comforter. His secret power is his ability to stay still while I frame him as something other than the patient and gentle beast he is. Also, his giant expressive 😍

Eevee
Eevee is a 10-year-old Sheltie in Reseda, CA, who needs $2,000 for Ameloblastoma Removal and Facial Reconstruction .
Reseda, CA
We got Eevee in September 2009 and have spent the last 10+ years with her. She has always been timid and so lovable. Before she grew all her fur, my husband made a comment that she looked like the Pokemon, eevee, and it stuck! She is literally the most perfect dog I have ever met; she's not a barker, or a chewer, or a jumper. Eevee has always slept near us, never in the bed. She will only cuddle if you are constantly petting her. It’s my favorite when she sticks her face in my hand for scritches. She also gives the best hugs - I taught her that! Her daily activities include chasing squirrels, fighting over toys with her younger sister and begging for those scritches. Due to Covid, I lost my job for 9 months, until recently, but we weren't able to save like we had been. If we could get this surgery for her, her quality of life will be so much better and she'll be able to go back to normal, she still has a lot of years left in her! In 2019, Eevee started getting a mass on her jaw. We took her to the vet and found it was an oral tumor. A biopsy told us that it's noncancerous, but she's uncomfortable as she can't close her mouth. We had it removed, but it grew back, and it keeps growing. One option we have is to remove the entire diseased area of the jaw with the help of Dr. Hobson at Metro Animal Hospital. Eevee makes me smile on a daily basis. She will stick her head on your lap or in your hand and “talk” to you until she gets petted. She also likes to flip on her back when she wants attention and huffs and puffs until you give her a belly rub. When you stop touching her, she will hit you with her little foot until you give in. I've always said she was more like a cat.

Mina
Mina — 12afe9
Los Angeles, CA
Mina came from Sante D'Or rescue in Glendale as a kitten and has been a wonderful surprise in our lives. We don't know her origin story but she has always been slow to trust. She has a gentle nature and quiet, ladylike ways, like a porcelain figurine. Paul has been her devoted guardian since 2005 and she developed a new and different relationship with Sara in 2014 when she joined the family. She's obedient for Paul since he's taken care of her for years and gave her a reliable, loving furever home. When she returned from surgery, the scent of his t-shirt in her crate calmed her immediately. Sara got to know her more slowly, paying attention to her nuances. That's how Mina developed a different communication style with Sara of special meows, eye blinks, and other non-verbals. The application only allows up to $5k but we've spent more than that on the diagnosis. With surgery it's over $12k. Her chemo this week and additional ongoing costs will incur. We've opened two credit cards to meet her medical needs. Bills in LA are double the US average. In Aug., Mina was lethargic, not her usual talkative self, and had tummy trouble. Many tests and exams indicated intestinal round cell tumor of an undetermined type. But she was hearty and cleared for surgery, the recommendation for definitive diagnosis and the best chance to remove and treat her illness. Dr. Pierro and Dr Cabrera at MASH are her oncologist and surgeon, respectively. 855-350-7387. Mina's days are full, varied, and reliable. She sits in a window by the bird feeder at 10 am, waits for Paul at the door 5 minutes before he comes home, and patrols the house one last time when Sara gets in bed. If her routine is out of place, it's a sign that something is off. These were early clues that she was sick. We love to see her nap in the sun and the sound of her trills when she's happy.

Bowie
Bowie is a 7-year-old Mixed Breed in West Hollywood, CA, who needs $2,000 for CT Scan and Arthroscopic Surgery of Elbow.
West Hollywood, CA
A little over 2 years ago on a sunny summer day, I walked into the Brandywine Valley SPCA and Bowie (formerly Barnes) immediately caught my eye. His sweet and gentle nature, fun personality captured my attention and as I played with him and watched him "sit" for treats, I fell in love with him. I quickly sent Ray photos and videos, already knowing that he was meant to be a member of the family. Bowie is truly living his best life! He spends his days sleeping on what has become "his spot" on the sofa, enjoying walks around West Hollywood and is often treated to bites of leftover dinner including his favorite, steak! He loves the company of people, especially joining us at a friend's house for a BBQ where he can roll in the grass and eat scraps of food. After already paying so much for diagnostic appointments and imaging, this surgery seems like an insurmountable expense yet I wonder how can we let our precious, otherwise healthy and happy, Bowie suffer daily in pain when he has years to live? This surgery is crucial. In August, Bowie developed a significant limp that has not been helped by medication or rest. Stoic and stubborn, he doesn't let the pain to stop him from enjoying walks. Dr. Strom, an Orthopedic Surgeon at MASH sent Bowie for a bone scan which revealed that Bowie is suffering from a type of elbow displaysia and needs arthroscopic surgery to relieve pain and cure the limp so he doesn't become lame They say wine gets better with age, so does Bowie. He continues to amaze me with what a wonderful and well behaved dog he is. I can't help but love seeing him happy and wanting to spoil him after spending such a significant time in the shelter we also love to treat him to new experiences like trips to the beach.

Biscuit
Biscuit is a 3-year-old Terrier mix in Los Angeles, CA, who needs $1,982 for treatment for hemorrhagic gastroenteritis.
Los Angeles, CA
Biscuit first came into my life on January 20th, 2017. On this day my sister-in-law told my sister and I that two dogs had been abandoned in the apartment complex parking lot. Right away we rushed to help, and we saw a box with a blanket and two small dogs inside. As we approached, the dogs seemed frightened, so we attempted to lure them out slowly instead. It seemed like they had hope their previous owner would return for them, and anytime anyone approached them they ran away, only returning to their box when the area was alone again. We made sure the car owner was aware so that they wouldn't move their car and for the next three days during rainy weather we tried to gain their trust. On the third day, Biscuit finally walked toward me instead of running away, and he let us bring him home. We fed him, bathed him, and made him feel safe and loved. Although, we were not able to do the same for his puppy pal, we knew of other neighbors trying to help and hoped he'd found a forever home as well. He made a new puppy pal that day, Teenie, our other Chihuahua fur baby. Now he gets to take longs walks with my dad daily, plays with puppy pals Teenie and Chewy, and snuggle up in bed with me every night. We are very fortunate to have Biscuit be a part of our family as he has given us as much love as we have given him.
