Duke
Duke is a 1 month old French Bulldog in Kansas City, MO, who needs $4,000 for Continuous Oxygen.
Kansas City, MO
Duke is a 5 week old French Bulldog puppy. His mom is our dog too. Her name is Lady. Since his mom is ours too we have had him since the time he was born and have cared for him ever since. This is an emergency situation where Duke needed immediate care and has been hospitalized for a couple of days now. He is doing well but they are still wanting to keep him on oxygen which costs between $800-$1000 per day at Mission Emergency Vet. Duke is the sweetest little boy who loves to snuggle and play. He loves it most when I hold him and last night when I went to visit him at the hospital that is all he wanted but he has to settle for just some snuggles. His mom misses him so much and just wants him back home. We all want him back home. The house isn’t the same without him there. This was an unexpected major expense. It was an accident but I feel terrible. We had him on the bed and I turned my head for no more than 30 seconds to talk to someone and in that time he fell off the bed. We are lucky he is expected to make a full recovery.

Prissy
Prissy is a 6 year old Mix-Breed in Overland Park, KS, who needs $13,000 for CT Diagnostic Imaging, Rhinoscopy.
Overland Park, KS
Prissy has been with me for 5 of her 6 years. It took her a bit of time to warm up after she was rehomed with me, but her hard-won affection is deeply cherished. I named her Prissy ironically since she's anything but prissy. I need help with diagnostics. The problem is ongoing but the nasal blockage issue occurred 10/2025. I took her to Mission Veterinary Emergency & Specialty in Mission, Kansas, and was quoted about $10,000 for the care she needs. I am trying to find an alternative to reduce costs, including getting a flush to see if that helps until I can pay for diagnostics. She's a cat. She does cat things. I don't expect anyone to find her uniquely worthy of care. To me, all living things deserve ethical and moral treatment and all pets deserve loving care with a family. However, she is my baby. I think of her as family. She's special to me, even if she's "just another cat" to someone else. I lost my job over a year ago and I have been unable to replace that income. I have been unemployed or underemployed since January 2025. I have burned through my savings, unemployment insurance, and a good portion of my retirement while simultaneously living on credit cards.

Champ
Champ is a 11 month old Yorkshire Terrier in Leavenworth, KS, who needs $500 for Emergency Treatment for Reactions to Vaccinations.
Leavenworth, KS
Champ was given to me by a friend to provide me companionship as I live out my remaining days. I have terminal cancer. I am disabled and live on $960 per month SSI plus $290 per month from SNAP food benefits. I managed to scrape together the $190 to have Champ vaccinated last Wednesday, July 2. Now he is having extreme reactions to the vaccines and needs emergency care or he may die. Champ needs immediate IV fluids or he will likely die. The emergency vet hospital wants $200 just to see him and likely another $200-$300 to treat him. Champ is so special to me, and he is just a puppy. The person who gave him to me is going to take him back once I pass. But he can't afford these emergency services right now either. If I can get him through this I am going to get medical insurance for him, which is pretty reasonable and will cover future situations like this. Please consider donating a little bit to help so I can get Champ treatment today to save his life. We only need about $500, and this platform pays the veterinarian directly.

Mylee
Mylee is a 8 year old Chihuahua in Independence , MO, who needs $2,000 for Thorax Chest Cavity Left Lung Treatment.
Independence, MO
I always wanted a girl chihuahua, I was a furmom of 2 boys. When my mom’s cousin (who’s an in-home health care nurse) called me to ask if I could take in Mylee, she sent her picture to me & I couldn’t say “No!” I was on my way to meet her @ QT immediately! Mylee was left outside on an apartment balcony in Kc after her owners had moved out. I’ve rescued all of my dogs, rescues ARE the BEST!!!!! Mylee is in critical condition at the Blue Pearl Animal emergency in Lees Summit fighting for her life after being attacked by a pitbull. Her Thorax chest cavity, left lung is not working good, she is using just 1 lung to breath right now & they put her on oxygen in an incubator at the hospital which helps her tremendously! She keeps making progress & I can’t euthanize my baby girl, it’s inhumane! I’ve loved having a girl chihuahua! Mylee lets me cut her toenails without fighting, I even paint them hot pink to match mine! Mylee will “walk like a bear” especially if you have hotdogs for her! Mylee is vocal & can tell you what she wants (food or to be picked up) she’ll paw @ you too for things of her desire! She sits of course & can get everyone in the house to howl, like an orchestra! My last rescue was a pitbull puppy, Lettie. I brought her home in Oct @ 7weeks old. Mylee was my 3rd rescue, she also acts like my first:) it was an accident that the pitbull was in Mylee’s area, I trusted someone in my house & that was a mistake.

Bear
Bear is a 3-year-old Shar-Pei in Sugar Creek, MO, who needs $2,000 for Anaphylactic Shock.
Sugar Creek, MO
Bear was born on Memorial Day in 2020 via emergency c-section. I bottle fed him from birth. Bear has a heart of gold, loyalty that is unmatched and unwaivering, his silliness and personality wins the hearts of everyone! He also has a sweet tooth! Bear is the only dog I've ever heard of that is in love with candy corn and will chase a laser better than a cat! He deserves a chance to live. The fawn pup in the pics is Bear's dad, Trip aka Trip Meister Burger. Trip taught him almost all he knows. Bear loves car rides, walks, hiking, and watching t.v but he dislikes hells kitchen he barks & growls when the Gordon Ramsey comes on lol! He prances around the family like a Tennessee walking horse. He loves the family but will not share his toys period! Since he won't share his toys and doesn't care what anyone thinks we sometimes call him "I don't care bear" lol! He can speak, lay, sit, find a toy, and another trick I taught him called "wiggle" where he throws his paws up standing on his back legs and wiggles back and forth! He loves chasing a laser, a ball, & squirrels! He's sassy and & has the spark of life. Bearsy is a Singleton (1 pup liter) I took Bearsy to a vet yesterday morning for an ear infection, shots, and a nail trim. But he had to be sedated because he gets anxious and gets worked up. He did fine with the sedation but went into anaphylactic shock from a heartworm prevention vaccine & is in ICU. He's getting lots of meds, fluid, & had 2 plasma transfusions. He's drastically improving I have 4 growing kids and 3 dogs in our home, I'm struggling with rent & utilities. School supplies, clothes & shoes was $1,100. $2,000 to fix my car, another $450 for tires on my daughter's car. I emptied my savings last night to pay$700 for bear. I don't make enough.

Hazel
Hazel is a 7-year-old American Bully in Kansas City, KS, who needs $2,000 for Blood Work, Testing, and Possibly Chest Surgery.
Kansas City, KS
I bought hazel when she was a puppy around less than a month old. I saw when she was born. We been together mostly of her life. I was 15 years old when i got her. I am 22. She is 7 years old. She was born on March 13 2016. I chose to name her Hazel because of her eye color. I love her so much. What is happening to her was me heart broken and depressed. I just want her to get better and be well. Hazel is super sweet. I have a 6 year old and a 2 year old daughter. They play around and Hazel is gentle with them. She loves to be around us and always wants to sleep close to us. She is trained and listens and follows directions such as let's go out, eat your food, sit and other simple directions. She loves to play outside and loves to be chased by us. Hazel is a good dog and listens to me well. She is very friendly and loves kids. We do notice she smiles a lot when she's happy and we can tell when she is happy. We definitely know she doesn't like water, she hated baths and swimming. She has been a healthy dog until all of this recently. I could not imagine my life without her. Hazel has fluid around her lungs that is not allowing her lungs to expand to breathe normally. Hazel needs the fluid removed from around her lungs to help her breathe. Even if they removed the fluid it can reoccur. She will need further work-up, testing and treatment possibly a surgery for the underlying cause. This has been an unexpected sudden major expense with no emergency funds. We are trying everything we can to get the money for her testing and treatment possibly a surgery. She is very important to our lives and we love her so much.
