Mario
Mario is a 7 year old Norfolk Terrier in Turlock, CA, who needs $2,000 for Exam, X-rays, Blood/Urine Analysis, and Medication.
Turlock, CA
May 5, 2017 I was driving early afternoon on downtown Stockton when I came to a stop at a crosswalk. A barefooted woman was holding a tiny tan and white puppy walking through the crosswalk, talking to herself when suddenly she turned directly towards me and said "I don't even know why I got this puppy, I can't even take care of myself. Do you want him?" That was the day Mario came into my life. ❤️ Over the past couple of weeks he's changed. I've been having to carry him home from walks and he's been in noticable pain. He has been yelping when picking him up or when he moves in certain ways. The look on his face when I say "You want to go for a walk?" is devastating. He's not himself and has never been like this in 7 years. His vet is Monte Vista Small Animal Hospital, Turlock, CA. Mario has always been a very active, healthy and happy little dog. Over the years he has become my best friend, my biggest protector, my soulmate and love of my life. We've been through so much together and he's become my greatest companion in life. I am so lucky to have him. He is spunky, he LOVES walks, belly rubs, and is fearlessly protective. I can't imagine life without him. 💛💛💛 Today 6 months clean and sober, and am in intensive outpatient treatment and will be for the next year+. I have no income and we are staying with the wonderful people who took care of Mario when I was in residential treatment 3 months ago. We need help now more than ever.

Jasper
Jasper is a 1-year-old American Short Hair Cat in Livingston, CA, who needs $2,000 for Panleukopenia Treatment.
Livingston, CA
Jasper is my first cat. His mom was found in a dumpster where my husband works barely alive. Before the company could spay her, she became pregnant. She had 6 kittens, 4 died right after birth, and 1 died 3 weeks later. Jasper was the surviving kitten. I adopted Jasper and his mom so they wouldn't live in a factory. Jasper is a big baby who is the King of the house. He plays well with my other cats, and spends most of his time snuggling his mom. He sleeps with me and my husband at night. After 16 years of my husband begging for us to get a cat, we finally welcomed Jasper and his mom into our home. Jasper is the reason why I love cats, have adopted more rescue cats. Also, he is the reason why I've gotten into cat rescue. I've fostered momma cats and their litters, and many, many kittens. Jasper is up to date on his vaccines, yet managed to contract, and got severely sick from Panleukopenia. My husband and I decided to give Jasper a fighting chance, and hospitalized at Montevista Small Animal Hospital. I am asking for donations, because treating Panleukopenia is expensive. I have spent thousands of dollars to help rescue dogs and cats over the last couple of years, and decided to ask for help with my sweet boy Jaspers.

June
June is a 2-month-old Domestic Shorthair nCat in Modesto, CA, who needs $914 for X-rays and Lab Work. Additional Diagnostic Testing and/or Treatment.
Modesto, CA
This sweet little boy was abandoned on our street a couple of days ago. We were able to locate him by his intense desperate cries. He was covered in weeds and cobwebs. He eventually came towards my young daughters and I pulling himself with his front paws while his back legs and end were dragging. This little boy was starving, thirsty and exhausted. We’ve never had a kitten or cat before but were able to gather enough to keep him warm, safe and fed. He is very sweet, gentle and deserving. We’ve kept him in a puppy cage since we don’t know the extent of his injuries. He also is on puppy pads because he is unable to get on his hind legs to potty. I’ve spent most of my time loving him and giving him gentle cuddles. This little guy loves to be loved. He spends a lot of time laying on my chest. If it only took time, worry and love to heal…baby boy would be completely well. I’ve asked God why He brought him upon us, as we just lost a beloved family pet. It’s because He knows our hearts, intentions, and knows we will find a way to save this sweet creature. I wasn’t sure where to start or go for help. I knew I was his protector and not going to let him get euthanized. We went to our regular vet today but unfortunately was only able to financially cover an exam and pain medication today. He is needing X-rays and lab work amongst other treatments. I would also like a second opinion prior to treatment at Monte Vista Small Animal Hospital in Turlock. I was recently hospitalized for acute pancreatitis and am on short term disability. We unfortunately lost a beloved family pet recently after spending nearly $1000 to save her. Shortly after, losing my father in law then cousin. We’ve had a rough year so far.

Zeus
Zeus is a 3-year-old Pitbull in Modesto, CA, who needs $1,700 for rectal prolapse.
Modesto, CA
I rescued Zeus he had no prior medical issues until the prolapse occurred he is a wonderful cuddle buddy and awesome character to be around, currently its very hard to afford care for Zeus my mother recently suffered a series of strokes that left her impaired and needing extra 24 hour care that costs when her insurance doesn’t cover it. Life has been overwhelming but Zeus has made it easier. Zeus is a comfort to be around when we are happy he is extra energetic when we are sad he is a wondrous pillow and cuddle buddy. He interacts very well even with my toddler nieces and nephews he is apart of our family and family takes care of family and he is always there when you call on him he is not camera shy at all. We love him. I am currently paying for my school tuition, rent, bills and my mothers medical expenses as well as nurses and it is very overwhelming to have Zeus healthy would comfort me by knwoming my friend is here I am not ready to lose him at lol Zeus is a sneaky eater and I think he got into something when at a friends house maybe a foreign object that is causing him to strain which caused his rectal prolapse I went to numerous vets who advised to put the dog down if I could not afford it but that just seems unfair to him to not try and seek a better option he is still acting normal and I really need your help to give him the life deserv Zeus is special in his own way just like many other dogs he snorts and howls when he wants attention which is his form of talking he loves when you say his favorite words like park or outside and he will sit by the door and howl until you own up on that promise even if you’re talking about your day to a friend and mention outside there Zeus goes howling away it’s very cute

sammy
Sammy is a 9-year-old dashound in Delhi, CA, who needs $1,017 for laceration repair, sedation intravenous, urgent care.
Delhi, CA
My Sammy came into my life almost 10 years ago. My family was on a vacation trip which I could not attend due to work. When they were days away from coming home they decided to go back to the sign my grandmother read "whinnie dogs for sale". My family knows how much I love dachshund so they were coming hone to surprise me with my very own month old dog. My Sammy is my world. He loves to sleep with all his four furry legs in the air. He loves to play with his one and only daughter Hazel. What I love most about him is that when he comes near me and I say to him "show me love" he jumps on me and kisses me all over my face. He loves big treats because of him big mouth so we tend to not buy him smalls one or he will swallow whole. I am currently not working due to off season reasons and he has been my rock and my motivation on my daily routine. I came home to a house full of girls and miss my Sammy since he had to stay in surgery. Im in this situation because a Rottweiler came into my yard and Sammy didnt even get a chance to bark when all I heard was him crying I ran to him and immediately attacked the dog so he would let Sammy go. I know it was stupid of me but my Sammy was ten times smaller. I rushed him into the vet and I hope he recovers soon. When my wife and I met, she had her Yorkie and I had my sammy. so its safe to say he was in my life and picture before her. Sammy is the second oldest of our four furry kids we have. we have now built this blended family and he loves his sister, girlfriend and daughter. he is my only boy and is my best friend.

Pongo
Pongo is a 3-year-old Dalmatian in Modesto, CA, who needs $2,000 for Cystotomy.
Modesto, CA
We were searching around for a dog to bring home as a part of our family! We found Pongo online when we were looking for a companion for my son. We have always wanted a Dalmatian and my son was in love with 101 Dalmatians, hence where his name Pongo came from. He immediately became part of our family and fit right in! Pongo is an energetic puppy who loves to run and play with my three young children. He loves going on walks and playing fetch! He is a very loving and sweet boy. He loves to play in the pool when it is hot outside but he can not stand when someone gets him wet he has to be the one to get himself in the pool. In September Pongo had bladder stones which in the end resulted in his bladder rupturing after multiple vet visits. During the month of November my 2 yr old was diagnosed with a rare cancer. I am in need of any help to cover Pongo's surgery to help remove the new stones In September Pongo had his first occurrence with bladder stones, which are common for his breed. He visited the vet quite often and was admitted in the vet eventually after his bladder had ruptured. Now we are experiencing the same issue and need help covering the cost of his surgery to remove these new stones. We are hopeful this is his last occurrence with them. Pongo just like all animals are a part of the family. He is very much loved by my three children and they all get along so great! He is energetic just like them and loves to play. Pongo has a best doggy friend that is ours as well and they love to run around and spend time together. Pongo also gets along with our cat.

Ford
Ford is a 5-year-old Boxer in Patterson, CA, who needs $400 for Blood work.
Patterson, CA
We were driving down a busy country road at 8:40 pm and found him walking on is last leg. I’m working on getting him stable. He is a fighter and wants to live. I’ve taken him to the vet and now working on finding out what happened to him and why he’s in such bad shape. He is a very loving boy and I’m trying my best to help him fight. Please if you can help too Ford would appreciate it. He’s been with us for 3 days. (8/17)He is finally warming up to us. He is following me around just like my baby dog. He is an in door doggy at my house and is getting lots of cuddles and love. We are doing what the vet told us to get him stable. He is finally eating more then the gravy in the puppy food. We’ve had 3 empty bowl now. First he wasn’t eating much. I am a dialysis patients and barely keeping above water ourselves. I’ve rounded up some money to help stable the little guy and give him a loving place to heal. A few people in my town have help with food to get him stable and also helped care for him along this healing. This is day two of sc fluids and high puppy diet. He is finally eating. Yay!!!! He looks like he has been starved or has a disease. He is only 32 lbs and should be around 50/55lbs. I’m asking for help with the blood work. He is moving and walking. We have him resting inside. And getting him puppy wet food every few hours. He is such a good boy. I haven’t known him very long but I’m looking forward to hearing his little boxer attitude talking back to my girl. He tells her off a little but I think there is still more to him. He looks like he really needs someone to care about him. This poor guy has been through a lot and I have no idea for how long for what reason. I’d like to be able to get him more help.

Holly
Holly is a 16-year-old Domestic short hair in Turlock , CA, who needs $1,727 for Anal sac removal .
Turlock, CA
Holly was found on my way home in Elementry school when I was 12 in a basket on the lawn alone with three other kittens. I knocked on the door and the lady said momma cat got hit by a car she didn’t know what to do so I took them all home in my backpack and bottle fed them. Few days later two kittens in the litter faded fast and didn’t survive - my Holly was the only one. Holly is one of five cats in my home. She’s the oldest and the most sweetest. She sleeps in her chair everyday most all day. She’s the family favorite because of her loving nature and takes to anyone who visits. She has a calming nature to her and when something is wrong or anyone is sad she is by your side. Due to the covid 19 only my husband is able to work. We have a family of five including a new baby. We don’t want to lose our baby Holly over a simple fix to have the glands removed once and for all. We just can’t afford it by ourselves. Anything helps at this point. Holly has been suffering from anal gland issues for nearly a year now. They have ruptured twice in the last nine months and she has had one surgery to drain them already. Two weeks ago she had an anal expression done and it failed. They didn’t do it correctly because now she has two punctured in her bottom where one side has ruptured same side as before tore open scar tissue from her last Holly is special because anytime we talk to her she talks back. If I sneeze she meows as if she’s saying bless me. When I talk to her she answers and when she needs something she will come up and Nudge me and make me follow her wherever she needs to go. She’s been through a lot with me as I’m getting older I will be 30 this year and I have her since I was 12 nearly half my life she’s my baby.

Petra
Petra is a 3-year-old Siamese/Tabby in Los banos, CA, who needs $2,700 for Surgery .
Los banos, CA
I adopted Petra from my local animal shelter when she was just weeks old. She was a stray and was small and just a very charismatic little kitty. She was put up for adoption along with her sister. She is now 3 years old and is an indoor kitty. She is sassy and very affectionate. She loves being by the window and just loves to hang out. Petra lives for the attention from my family. Although shy with strangers, she warms up and is really affectionate. She will roll over to get a belly rub! She loves her brother (Siamese) Prince. Although she loves my husband and daughter, she is really attached to me. She wakes up along with me and will seek to get my attention before leaving to work for the day. Recently, our home flooded due to a plumbing malfunction. Insurance covered some of the cost for repair, but still had to front a lot of the cost to replace/repair. To top it off Covid-19 caused the job loss of my parents, so we helped with food and other necessities. On 6/11, I noticed Petra was heavy breathing with her mouth open. Took her to Pacheco Vet in Los Banos,Ca and X-rays showed she has a Diaphragmatic hernia. This is a small hole in the muscle tissue that separates stomach and lungs. So when the organs migrate up, they put pressure on her lungs causing her to have labored breathing. Petra does many things to make me smile. She loves being petted and will purrr, stretch and just snuggle you to death. Although she hates water...I have battle scars to prove it, she always manages to make my heart melt. Nonetheless, my love for this cat is unconditional and don’t want to loose her.

Sosa
Sosa is a 1-year-old Cane Corso in Modesto, CA, who needs $1,100 for Bilateral Cherry Eye surgery.
Modesto, CA
We have had Sosa since he was 8 weeks old. We had wanted a Cane Corso for years and finally found one at an affordable price. We drove 5 hours to Southern California to pick him up. He lives with 2 cats and 4 (soon to be 5) human siblings. He lives inside with his family. He especially loves “his” kids. Sosa is just another sibling in the family. He lives inside, sleeps on his XXXL memory foam bed. He’s known to be found cuddling on the couch with one of “his” kids. He likes to play outside when it’s cool (he hates the heat). He is a huge gentle giant and scared of his teeny tiny cat brother. He’s a teddy bear. I am a nurse and have been working during the coronavirus pandemic. I lost work due to contracting the virus while caring for my patients and have been off work recovering. I will go back to work this week but have a lot of catching up to do on household bills first. He developed a small cherry eye on his left eye when he was 8 months old. Yesterday he developed a much larger cherry eye on his other eye, the right eye and now both have become so large he is running into walls and doors etc. The cherry eye is blocking his vision and also blocking his tear ducts causing painful dry eye and drainage from both eyes at time. Monte Vista is our vet. They’re great. He knows how to open the toilet and try to drink the water, even though he has his own fresh drinking water in the kitchen he still will try to drink from the toilet. He will play with his cat brother and then get scared and jump on a humans lap like scooby doo. I’m not sure if he realizes he is 150 lbs and the cat brother is only 10 lbs.

Boss
Boss is a 7-year-old Pit Bull/Dalmatian mix in Modesto, CA, who needs $773 for tumor removal surgery.
Modesto, CA
Boss came into our lives in 2014, my oldest daughter brought him after finding out his previous owner could no longer keep him. She wanted him to have a good home. Boss was his name already, he was also well trained with adults and children. We figured if we couldn’t keep him we would look to find him a good home, but after a month Boss did his best to show and prove to us he belonged with us. I honestly felt in love with him the first time we met him.

Marley
Marley is 5-month-old Domestic-Short-Haired kitty in Stevinson, CA who needs $614 for Stevinson, CA.
Stevinson, CA
Meet Marley. He was rescued at about 1 1/2 weeks old when his mom abandoned the litter. His brother unfortunately didn't survive even with vet intervention. Marley had the strength and will to live. He took to the bottle like a little piggy and was on antibiotics and Terramycin. His eyes were completely sealed over with gunk when he was found and after a week of warm rags and treatments, we were finally able to clear them. However the left never fully healed. When he went in to get neutered, we had the vet look at it. They did a quick once over and said it was a scratch, more antibiotics and continue with the eye ointment. After 2 weeks, there was no difference and his eye constantly has gunk build up. We took him in to the vet again and they did a more thorough exam. They noticed his eye has minimal visibility and is basically shrunken compared to the other causing the eyelids to roll in. This is causing them to scratch his eye and giving him extreme discomfort. All the hardship he has had in his first 5 months of life hasn't stopped him from being the strong, handsome love-bug that he is today. He loves to play with his adoptive sister (another abandoned kitten from the colony), and snuggle up with my parents at night.
