Foxy
Foxy is a 2 year old Nebelung in San Anselmo, CA, who needs $2,000 for Broken Bone Surgery.
San Anselmo, CA
Foxy has been living with my family for 16 months. He showed up as a stray, peeking in the back door. At first he was skittish, but we fed him, and over time, gained his trust. Once he was comfortable being handled, we took him to the vet to get an exam and vaccines. He was chipped but there was no owner info so we adopted him. He was in perfect condition until his accident. Foxy was taken to the ER after a dog attack. After exams, we learned that he was likely injured prior to the attack because he did not have any visible bites or blood on his body. X-Rays showed that he had a broken pelvis, likely from being hit by a car. We transferred him to OakVet Animal Specialty Hospital to get surgery on his pelvis. Foxy is a special cat because he is highly intelligent, funny, social and adventurous. He loves to follow my parents on walks around the neighborhood every day. My dad has Parkinson's Disease and he gets a lot of comfort, joy and love from this cat. Although Foxy is young and wild, he is learning how to be more social with people and other cats. He loves to see the mail lady for a treat. We debated putting Foxy down to save the money, but it would have broken our hearts. We opted to try the surgical procedure. The costs have already amounted to almost $16,000. This is way more than we can afford as a family. My dad is disabled and my mom is a hairstylist.

Orange
Orange is a 1 year old Mix-Breed in Oakland, CA, who needs $2,000 for Emergency Diagnostic and Overnight Hospitalization.
Oakland, CA
Our family adopted Orange and Hannah year ago, as indoor cats, Orange is a lovely shy cat who never seemed to want to go outside. About 6 weeks ago she got out and despite our best efforst to find her she was nowhere to be found. A week ago we had given up hope. Then this morning we found her at a neighbors--very dehydrated and out of sorts. Initial diagnostic at the vet has already cost 1400, that we don't have. Her liver enzymes are elevated and other organs seem affected. The vet initially recommended overnight treatment. That would run at least two thousand dollars more and as much as four thousand dollars more period that we just cannot afford. So we're going to try outpatient treatment and keep our fingers crossed. Our 4 yr old daughter is especially attached to Orange, they often nap together. She took a long time to bond with everyone because she's very shy. Our other cat Hannah just has not been the same since her bonded kitty disappeared. Shes the sweetest kitty Ive ever owned. My husband and I are struggling to make ends meet. He is employed on call and his work schedule ends up and faced unemployment for nearly 6 months this year.I've had to stay home with my eleven month old son. Last month we had a 5000 car repair that exhausted our savings.

Romeo
Romeo is a 5 year old Mix-Breed in Oakland, CA, who needs $1,997 for Gastro Intestinal Surgery.
Oakland, CA
I am a disabled BIPOC woman seeking help to pay off massive debt occurred from emergency pet surgery. My kitty Romeo is the most loving cat in the world. Unfortunately, he ate some palm leaves that got stuck in his bowels and was rushed to emergency surgery. Thankfully he survived surgery but due to the medical costs of roughly $6k, I am left unable to take care of other basic financial needs. A few days ago, Romeo consumed multiple palm leaves that obstructed his small intestines. He was throwing up for a few days, but by the third day I knew something was seriously wrong. I rushed to Oak Vet in Oakland, CA in order to figure out what was wrong with him. They told me he needed surgery ASAP, and thankfully he survived and is sleeping next to me now. Romeo is my guiding light. He is the sweetest most loving cat in the world. Honestly he saved my life during Covid when I was more isolated than ever. His purrs can be heard from a mile away, his nose is the cutest shade of pink, and his heart is bigger than his chubby belly. He can turn any dog person into a cat person I'm unemployed and on disability. My finances are tight but I would eat ramen or even starve if it means keeping my pets happy and healthy. The surgery decimated all of my savings so I am really scared about further potential complications as this is Romeo's second surgery

Booboo
Booboo is a 2-year-old Yorkie in San Leandro, CA, who needs $2,000 for Emergency care.
San Leandro, CA
My baby’s name is Boo-boo. His name just grew on me and just seemed fitting, as a word of endearment, he’s my baby boo. He was gifted to me Christmas of 2021. We have been pretty inseparable since. We are unfortunately in between housing right now but are currently residing in Oakland. He was said to be a teacup yorkie but as you can see he’s perfectly imperfect. Boo-boo is the baby if the household, I ignored everyone’s advise on crate training and he’s been sleeping with me since I got him. He digs himself under my blankets and cuddles right onto my side. He has a very sibling like relationship with my daughter who is an only child and they enjoy keeping each other company when I’m not around. He is protective kind and sweet. Always following behind me. I love that he is able to tell when I need some love and kisses. He loves being called handsome and when asked”who’s a good boy”? He howls until you’ve gotten the point that he is the best boy. His favorite toy of course is the little sheep with red feet. He enjoys fetching and chewing on it. He loves car rides but only if he can sit on my lap and feel the breeze on his face from the window I don’t know how to put in words other words that my boo was attacked by another family dog. He was picked up and dragged and tossed by a nearly 80 pound dog. Leaving him biten up and broken. He is being treated at OakVet Hospital in Oakland. The attack happened inside the home in front of a child and has been very traumatic for everyone. I’m waiting for more information on his status This like any emergency caught me unprepared. My car was stolen nearly two weeks ago, I haven’t recovered from that hardship and now this. It feels like I’m drowning in the costs of all this. And I just can’t bare it. He’s not just a dog he’s a little piece of happiness

Royce
Royce is a 2-year-old Pomeranian in Oakland, CA, who needs $2,000 for Bone Fracture Surgery.
Oakland, CA
Royce is turning 3 years old on December 6th. He came into my life as an emotional support in January 2021 and we've been partners in crime ever since. Royce is a ball of energy! He has the biggest personality for being such a small size - sassy, sweet, and silly. Royce loves to play fetch, tug-a-war and is an absolute cuddler. Physical touch and treats are his love language - you'll find him either napping on my lap or at my feet in the kitchen waiting for a spare drop of food. My almost 3 year old Pom is so special because he truly brings light to anyone's day. He LOVES playing with anyone and everyone whenever they come over. He also thinks all phone calls and facetimes are specifically for him and will always be expecting a greeting from the other side of the line. We ended up at the pet emergency this past weekend and it was determined that Royce's front left arm is broken in the radius and ulna. He is casted with a splint but will need surgery this week to repair the bones. His prognosis for the surgery is highly favorable and will need to happen for him to start healing. This surgery is a MAJOR unexpected expense. I'm exhausting my resources from personal funds, credit lines and fund assistances/grants to be able to get Royce the care he needs. I'm hoping this may reach the right people who may be able to help, even just a little.

Daisy
Daisy is a 14-year-old Maltese in Vallejo, CA, who needs $1,500 for Stomach Cancer.

I have had my sweet, Daisy since she was 3 months old. She's 14 years old now, Daisy is my heart and everything to me, I named her Daisy because she looks like a sweet fluffy flower:) I don't have any other pets, Daisy is my entire world. Iiving without my best friend is something I can't come to terms with:( not right now. When I first brought Daisy home the first night she was soo little! I have made a very nice bed in my room on the floor, she cried almost the entire night. I got up tried to feed her, cuddle with her nothing worked! So I put her in the bed with me and she instantly stopped crying:) and she's been sleeping in the bed with me ever since. My sweet Daisy is so so special! She makes you laugh and smile without even trying. She loves to run throughout the house on the hardwood floors and just slip and slide:) she runs into almost everything:) She has so much energy and loves greeting everyone with a wet kiss and a couple of barks first:) Daisy is dealing with a very serious Diagnosis, she unfortunately has Stomach Cancer and multiple mass spots in her stomach and liver:( and the cancer is located at such a difficult spot on her stomach. Doctors are not sure if she is going to survive. but I have to try she's my everything. Daisy was diagnosed with Cancer:( and it happened very suddenly. So I wasn't prepared for the financial cost since she she an older dog, many procedures have to be done as soon as possible, as it become a life or death situation.

Nugget (Boo)
Nugget (Boo) is a 9-year-old Min Pin/Chihuaua in Tiburon , CA, who needs $1,900 for Dental Surgery with Extractions and Periodontal Cleaning.
Tiburon, CA
This tiny dog was going to be put down in the am. I was called to foster him. They saved in the morning. When I saw his little 4 pound terrified puppy I knew I was keeping g him! He has saved me as my Emotional Support animal. He literally licks my tears if I cry. Which is not very often since I have this dog in my life. He cuddles with me if I am upset and my family. We need him to be healthy. This joyful dog wants me to lift my blanket at night so he can cuddle right next to me. He loves to play with his brother and go to the beach. He pretty much goes everywhere with us. He gets cold in the winter, and I bundle him up in ally of clothes. He is such a good boy, and everyone loves him. He likes to be picked up if a big dog or person comes around us on our walk. He is always next to me. He stands on his hind legs to look bigger when he sees a big dog. I love this dog so much. At night he goes in my bedroom and comes back to tell me to come to bed. He loves the electric blanket and always wants to play with his older brother. They sometimes chase balls and run around in my parents yard. He loves to sleep in my parents bed. My dog needs dental surgery and some teeth extracted. I brushed his teeth every day, but these tiny dogs are prone to dental disease. We want to go to our veterinarian, who saved my other dog with a Splenectomy. I do have insurance now because my dog Katy needed a lot of care. When he gets this surgery he should live happily 5 to 10 years. These little dogs live long lives. I lost my job and had to live in a hotel due to mold and other problems. He has been in and out of hotels, and we were waiting to get settled. His teeth are worse now, and he is in pain. I want to make him better again, before it is an emergency.

Cleo
Cleo is a six-year-old Bulldog mix in Richmond, VA, who needs $2,000 for urgent surgery.
Richmond, VA • Compassion Animal Project
For years, every step Cleo took was painful. She suffered from luxating patellas, a condition where her knee caps don't stay in place. Sadly, no one ever helped her or fixed them -- until Amy and the Compassion Animal Project came into Cleo's life. Amy adopted Cleo, even with her leg issues. Cleo became a source of joy and warmth for Amy after she lost her sister to a long battle with ALS. And Amy worked tirelessly to help Cleo's knees, even trying regenerative therapy treatments. Unfortunately, Cleo's condition worsened, and she tore both of her cranial cruciate ligaments. Now Cleo needs surgery on both her legs. Amy and the Compassion Animal Project have spent thousands of dollars on Cleo's care, and with your generous help, Cleo will finally be able to walk without pain! "Cleo and Amy are quite the dynamic duo and have grown to need one another since the day Cleo was adopted," Kristina S., from the nonprofit organization, tells Waggle. "Their favorite activity to do together is travel to the beach on a sunny day and nature watch. Their love is unbreakable, and we are touched by the lengths Amy has gone to give Cleo the quality of life she deserves!"

hunter
hunter is a 6-year-old German Shepherd Mix in Hayward, CA, who needs $1,800 for Cheek Bone Surgery.
hayward, CA
I was gifted Hunter when i was 15 years old, i am now 20. I recieved him when he was just 2 months old, Hunter is very special too me, other than him being my best friend, hunter survived a extremly harsh car accident with me, doctors told me that it was a miracle we survived. Hunter is truly my angel. Hunter is a very sweet goofy dog. He enjoys sleeping next to me and very often on my head even though he's huge, he's still a puppy at heart. Hunter loves peanut butter funny enough he recognizes any jar that has any, He loves to catch waves (literally). Hunter is really family oriented he enjoys playing with children. Even though hunter is a furbaby, he sure likes to be treated like a child. Since he was little he learned to open doors, use pillows to rest his head on, when he's tired he like to roll himself into his blanket. One of my specifically favorite traits about him is that hes bilingual, he knows a lot of spanish words. He's favorite thing is the talk button that says treat. On the night of May 31st, 2022 Hunter was beat upside the head with a pipe as we were being assaulted. He currrently has head trauma, broken left cheek bone, and has lost vision in his left eye. I was told that he might requiere removal of the eye if it doesn't heal properly but its too soon to tell. He's currently at veterinary emergency group located in san ramon. He'll be transferred to oakvet. i am currently a full time college student, i live on my own with my two dogs. i do work, but his expenses are starting to hit the high $5000 + and that is still not his final bill. For him to fully recover from this would mean the world too me, he did not deserve this.

Shadi
Shadi is a 1-year-old Domestic Long Hair in Oakland , CA, who needs $2,000 for Hip luxation surgery.
Oakland, CA
Shadi came to our home as a small frail kitten. He was very skittish around us but soon gained our trust. We began to feed and care for him and he turned us into cat people. He is very sweet and nurturing. Recently, he even became the older big brother to a few stray kittens we cared for while they were ready for adoption. Shadi has been a wonderful addition to our family. Shadi enjoys basking under the sun and receiving treats. He isn’t a picky eater and enjoys the company of other cats. He is always ready to climb on your lap and purr. He has helped my family members enjoy the company of cats. The kids enjoy him as he is very calm and friendly to them. He is talkative and the bond he shares with my mother is amazing. Shadi is a purring machine. Even when we first met him he was always purring and allowing us to pet him. He loves getting his tummy scratched. He would play with the kittens and clean them up after they had their meal. He would also nap with them and keep the warm. He is also great at letting us know when it’s time to eat by meowing to us. Unfortunately, Shadi had an accident and dislocated his right hip. He has since become immobile and in a lot of pain. We initially took him to VCA emergency hospital in our city. There he received his diagnosis and pain medication. Unfortunately, we needed to take him to another hospital where he can receive medical help. Shadi isn’t our only sick pet, we currently have a dog who is being treated for mast cell tumors. His ongoing treatment has been a huge financial stress due to the nature of his masses. We already completed a 6 month long chemo treatment but his tumors have been regrowing.

Archie is a 4 year old cairn terrier that was adopted after being previously abandoned. Despite this traumatic start, he was quick to show love and loyalty. He is an incredible soul and it was heartbreaking to see him wagging his tail when I came to pick him up at the vet clinic to take him to the ER. Even in sickness, his heart shows immense love.
