Pogi
Pogi is a 10 year old Mix-Breed in Edison , NJ, who needs $2,000 for 3 day Hospital Stay, IV Fluids, and Insulin.
Edison, NJ
I bought POGI from a shop in NJ that since has been closed because it turned out they got their dogs from a puppy mill. The dogs were abused and weren't treated fairly. I saw the closure of that NJ shop on the news. I was glad I was able to get POGI and got him treated for gardia when he was a puppy. My dog started peeing a lot and drinking a lot a week and a half ago. I took him to the vet last Friday (2/21) and his urine and blood test revealed that he might have diabetes ( elevated glucose/ketones ) and complications of UTI due to the diabetes. He needs iv fluids and insulin per vet recommendation will need 2-3 day hospital stay which will cost 3k. My pet is special because he is part of my family. I will do everything I can to make him feel better and stay healthy. He is only 10 years old and have many more years to enjoy God willing. I have a fixed income and with the economy we have now at the moment emergency bills are the last thing I needed. I already work two jobs and for some reason it still isn't enough. I'm also a single mom with a special needs child.

Violet
Violet is a 7-year-old Cattle dog mix in Metuchen, NJ, who needs $1,890 for TPLO replacement of ACL and physical therapy.
Metuchen, NJ
I adopted Violet from the Humane Society of Savannah. They said she was a hyperactive puppy that had been returned. I prefer to call her sassy. My neighbor, Violet Halpin, died at the age of 94 y/o the day before I Violet. I knew her my entire life and helped take care of outside dogs and stray cats. I wanted to honor Mrs. Halpin for all she had done She taught me compassion and giving. Violet loves to run, jumping high for tennis balls and play with her toys. We came back home to help out my mother who was skeptical. Violet spends more time with my mother who has fallen in love with her. She adores people even strangers. My brother who had cancer never really cared for dogs but adored Violet. I’m glad she brought him joy. Violet is my Emotional Support Animal. She helps me get out in public. Lots of training made our bond more complex and loving. Vi loves socks! She’d bring one to me and wait for me to chase her. She takes about 2-3 pieces of food out of her bowl and try to cover them then with the kitchen rug. She makes everyone happy because she makes sure everyone gets a ton of kisses. Except during nail trim. Violet tore her ACL in her back, right leg. She has been evaluated by an orthopedic surgeon, Dr. Ting, who wants to operate ASAP. That was months ago. Vi’s surgery will be performed at Raritan Animal Hospital in Edison, NJ. She’s on pain killers, walks on 3 legs. She can’t really play right now though she wants to. Violet had issues with hot spots and her medical bills have maxed my credit card. I collect SSDI and I live below the poverty line. I have only raised $110. I need Violet to be happy again and help me become social again and stop having groceries and dog food delivered. I miss my sassy girl. I want to see her out of pain; running, going to the park.

Hello my name is Gilbert I'm an essential worker that is only working part time due to the Coronavirus. I work in the hospital and it has been so hard to find a second job due to Covid-19. Munecas cancer was unexpected and my situation right now is very hard. Muneca has recently been diagnosed with cancer in her bladder. This really breaks my heart because I would of never expected this to happen im a cancer survivor myself and I know how hard is to live with cancer. Muneca was diagnosed on August 5th 2020 in the Hillsborough RBHS. The veterinarian told me that she will need chemotherapy. Muneca is very special to me because she has been in my life for 12 years. She has been my loyal friend. She has been with me since I was a young boy. Muneca always makes me smile because she knows when I'm sad, she knows how to make me happy. Muneca will always be my best friend and no other pet will replace her.

Sandy
Sandy is a 13-year-old Beagle in South Plainfield, NJ, who needs $2,000 for Mastectomy .
South Plainfield, NJ
My family brought Sandy from the shelter when I was 3 years old. We have been together for 13 years so far. We also have other pets including two chickens and a rabbit. I decided to name my dog Sandy because my favorite tv show was Spongebob Squarepants and Sandy reminded me of Sandy Cheels because of her fur color. Sandy likes to sleep on her bed, on the living carpet, or at the fuzzy stairs, we have at home. Besides sleeping, she also likes to run and jump around even with her lump, which makes me often worried about her safety. She also likes to take walks to the park and sniff around for anything new. She is always craving attention and if you stop petting her she would stare until you pet her again. Due to COVID-19, our family had to lose work and as a result of that we cannot afford the medical expenses needed to treat Sandy. We wish for Sandy to be healthy again so that she can go play without the fear of having the mass being ruptured. Sandy has a tumor-like mass on her mammary gland, and in December we noticed a little lump but we didn't think it was something serious until it grew each month and we knew that something is wrong. At the vet, the veterinarian told us that besides the mass on her body, she also found a heart murmur which added even more worries. Sandy is afraid of thunder though she wouldn't bark, she just wants to be cuddled until the thunderstorms past. Sandy is very peculiar because she would get bored with her chew toys very easily but she loves to play tag with my younger siblings and have mini races to see who is the fastest. Sandy dislikes water and would stay inside to avoid getting wet and watch the kids inside from the window.
