Pixie
Pixie is a 6 year old Greyhound in Tukwila, WA, who needs $2,000 for Peak Limb Amputation.
Tukwila, WA
Adopting a retired racing Greyhound is a decades long dream. Pixie (Coconino) won 1st, 2nd and Place in 47 of 58 races in Australia. She is a working dog, did her duty and made it to the US. Royal Hounds Greyhound Adoption placed her with Karen and James and their hounds to get ready for her person...me! I adopted Pixie on August 11, 2023, one of the best days of my life! Pixie is her kennel name. Pixie needs URGENT Peak Limb Amputation surgery. A bump on her left leg on July 12 grew along with limping. Vet team at Saltwater Animal Hospital looked her over, recommended X rays. July 23 confirmed Osteosarcoma (bone Cancer) in her left wrist. NO CANCER SPREAD TO CHEST & LUNGS confirmed by 3 team vets and a specialist in Radiology. Dr Nicole Deal, Dr Audrey DeHart, recommend surgery ASAP! Pixie is a memorable dog, full of character, intelligence, playfulness, affection, a bit goofy and a little bit bossy pants! Foster Karen calls her the 'Christmas Morning Dog' so true every day! Pixie makes the most out of life! A working dog, she has her sense of duty making sure we stay on schedule! Loves all her squeaky toys! She loves everyone and they love her back me most of all! Last 7 months have been challenging for me personally. Starting Christmas 2024 I was in the ER 3x, hospitalized, 2 surgeries, lost income and I moved! Pixie had two surgeries on torn nails on her paw, dental extractions. I am so low on funds and now Pixie's Osteosarcoma!

Smoker
Smoker is a 1.5 year old Russian Blue in Seatac , WA, who needs $950 for Emergency Exam & GI Diagnostics.
Seatac, WA
Smoker came into our lives after I saw him in a pet shop. He headbutted the glass to get to me, and it was love. When I asked about his cloudy eye, they offered to “exchange” him. I refused. We named him for his smoky fur, and when he first meowed—a deep, raspy croak—it fit him. He's nearly 2 now. He sucks on his tail for comfort and sleeps under the blanket with us every night. Smoker began vomiting yesterday and declined fast. He was dry heaving bile that smells rotten throughout the night, eating very little food, and is lethargic. His ears and paws are cold, and he’s only left hiding to curl up beside us for warmth and comfort. We suspect a GI blockage or infection and are taking him to urgent care, but we can’t afford diagnostics or treatment alone. Smoker is our cuddle-obsessed shadow. He won’t leave my or my husband’s side, always crawling under the blankets to snuggle. He suckles his tail for comfort and has the heart of a gentle baby... trapped in the body of a food-obsessed chonk. Through trauma, grief, and our international move, he's been our comfort, our clown, and the glue holding our little family together. I can't lose him. We recently relocated internationally and are staying in temporary housing. Our emergency funds are tied up due to auto-renewed accounts, and we’re currently unemployed while dealing with the VA and USCIS. Smoker needs urgent care we just can’t afford right now.

Nona
Nona is a 4-year-old Domestic Longhair Cat in Auburn, WA, who needs $830 for Emergency Ovariohysterectomy.
Auburn, WA
After the death of my father, my mother had lost the motivation to care for herself, and couldnt find a reason for living. I picked Nona up in a parking lot one day before christmas and knew that she was meant for my momma. She was the tiniest little thing I'd ever seen and needed someone to love her. After my mom's recent passing, I inherited Nona and have been caring for her. Nona is a very vocal little lady, and though she's the tiniest of my three cat (weighing at 5lbs) she is no doubt the spunkiest, and runs the show around here. My boyfriend Steffan is her favorite person, and she loves cuddling up into his beard. she's got him wrapped around her finger. Nona's spunky little sould gave my mom the hope and the companionship she needed to turn her life around. My mom always said that Nona was the closest she'd ever gotten to loving something as much as she loved me. One of my mom's last requests was that I take care of Nona, and do everything I can to make sure she lives a long healthy life. After a recent heat cycle, Nona was less vocal, and started to act lethargic and not her usual self. I took her to Dr. Cami Ogden at Saltwater Vet Hospital today- after $630 worth of diagnostics, it's been determined that Nona has Pyometra. She requires antibiotics and surgery to remove the infected uterus. If we can fund surgery in time, Nona will live a long healthy life. Losing my mom this year has caused me an immense amount of grief and stress. I checked myself into an inpatient program to stabilize my mental health, and lost my job during that time. If Nona is healthy, that means I will have kept my promise to my momma. That's all I want.
