Mya

Mya is a 12 year old American Shorthair in Columbus, OH, who needs $5,000 for Late Stage Diabetes (Currently in the DA stage).

Columbus, OH

I recused Mya at 8 years old, she was scheduled to be euthanized because the shelter couldn't hold her anymore. I've had her for almost five years now, and she is my everything, I don't have family, friends or a partner, so she literally is my whole world. Shes very shy, but the sweetest cat I've ever had the privilege of knowing. Over the last week, I noticed she's been peeing more than usual. I brought her into an ER and they said she has DK (diabetes) and is close to developing DKA, I have an appointment tomorrow at subsidized hospital, (TAHO hospital in Columbus ohio) I don't qualify for any financial assistance, so this is my last chance of being able to afford her appointment. I live alone, and I'm estranged from my family, I also don't have close friends or a partner, so she's all I have. She is my child, and I'd do anything for her. I struggle immensely with depression, and she has saved me more times than I can count. I'm not ready to lose her yet, I'm so worried. I work full time as a music teacher, but I only generate 32k a year before taxes, I normally can afford her vet, but this treatment is far more expensive than what I'm used too.

Diesel

Diesel is a 9-year-old American Bulldog Pitbull Standard Mix in Circle, OH, who needs $2,000 for Leg Amputation.

Circle

I had the pleasure of finding diesel about a year and a half ago. He was a stray, who was microchipped and had owners, but they no longer wanted him & dumped him. I found this sweet baby and took him in, and he has been “mine” since. About the last 6 months or so, a mass started to form on his back right leg. It is now the size of a football, and seems to be a bother now more than ever to him. Diesel is a very big goofy boy. He loves big bones, to play with his tiny 10 pound chihuahua sister, and walks. He especially loves to roll around in the grass on his walks. He is very protective over his family. He is his moms best friend, and we are desperate to help him. Diesel is a BIG man, but a HUGE baby. He is afraid of thunderstorms and hates yelling, he will hide from you! He plays with his cat siblings and it couldn’t be funnier seeing his huge self playing with the tiny kittens. I am hoping to find a veterinarian who can provide a low cost surgery. I am pretty positive he needs his leg completely amputated. With that being said, we are not sure what said mass is. Weather it’s cancer or not, or what exactly is going on. Diesel has a vet appointment for a checkup to see exactly what’s going on scheduled for January 18th 2024 at TAHO vet. We are hoping for good news. A recent move, and job loss of my boyfriend has made money and financially things very rough. We are currently on a very tight budget, struggling to make ends meet. We have put off his leg for too long, and I can’t stand the thought of him in pain any longer.

Dutchess

Dutchess is a 6-year-old Great Dane Dog in Columbus, OH, who needs $375 for Cherry Eye repair.

Columbus, OH

Dutchess, my Great Dane is nearly 6 months old. She is very loving and after 20 years of wanting a Great Dane, I am lucky enough to have 3. I am on disability and only receive $861/mo. With gasoline going up to neatly $200/mo, I just don’t have extra for her Cherry Eye surgery. I’m hoping to get this repaired before it effects her vision. She is a wonderful dog, very sweet and loving. Always willing to give my family, especially my grandkids lots of love and attention. She is always there to cheer me up when I’m feeling discouraged. I am so happy she is part of my family. My grandkids think she looks like a cow with all her black spots. I think Harlequin Danes are the most beautiful. I don’t know if it makes me smile exactly but after it rains, she likes to dig up worms. I’ve never had a dog do that before. I am afraid of worms so I don’t go out and stop her. I figure it is not hurting her or anyone else. I have caught her on more than one occasion with a long worm hanging out of her mouth, gross! She needs to have the Cherry Eye in her left eye surgically repaired TAHO (The Animal Health Organization). I'm hoping to have the surgery as soon as possible before her vision is effected. I’m very worried that I won’t get help with donation in time. I am on disability and only receive $861 per month. I’ve been hit hard with the increase in gasoline which costs me nearly $200 per month. I applied for CareCredit but was denied. Any little bit will help. Thank you in advance.
