Abandoned with major tumors and irritated skin plagued by fleas, Zuki needs help to heal

When neighbors first saw Zuki, she was sitting in the same spot, day after day, for three long days. She never moved far, never stopped watching, waiting for someone who she soon learned would never come back. By the time D&A Animal Rescue arrived, this poor girl’s condition broke our hearts. Zuki’s body tells a story of long-term neglect and suffering. Her eye is badly infected, and a tumor has grown above it, causing her obvious pain. She also has a massive mammary gland tumor larger than her own head, and her body is covered in fleas and inflamed skin. Even her anus is swollen and raw, showing just how much this sweet soul has endured. Despite all this, Zuki still wags her tail and leans in gently for comfort, as if she knows she’s finally safe. She now urgently needs your help to begin her journey toward healing. Zuki will require immediate veterinary care, including diagnostics, surgery to remove her tumors, treatment for her infection, and relief for her inflamed skin. The cost of her care is overwhelming for our small rescue, but we refuse to give up on her. Zuki waited for someone to come back for her, and sadly, no one did. Nine Dogs Rescued from Abandoned Texas Home Need Urgent Care

Nine innocent dogs were abandoned in a sweltering Texas home this summer—left behind by their owner after an eviction. Alone and terrified, they were found in heartbreaking condition: dehydrated, malnourished, and covered in filth. One dog is missing a leg. All nine tested positive for hookworms and coccidia. They range from vulnerable puppies to fragile seniors. D&A Animal Rescue stepped in and saved them, giving them their first baths, fresh water, and a chance at life. But they need so much more. These dogs require urgent medical treatment, proper nutrition, and patient, ongoing emotional rehabilitation. They’re scared, hurting, and unsure who to trust. They have a long way to go to heal both physically and mentally, but D&A is determined to make sure they receive the care and love they desperately need and deserve. He had no collar, no microchip, and no safe place to call home. Roshi is in rough shape. His body is covered in fleas, he hasn’t been neutered, and he’s long overdue for vaccinations. They received reports of Cassie, a severely emaciated momma dog who was left chained and alone, desperately waiting for help while she was heavily pregnant. By the time animal control could check on Cassie, it was too late. She had already given birth in deplorable conditions, with little hope for her survival or that of her newborn puppies. In the oppressive heat, with temperatures soaring to a staggering 110 degrees, tragedy struck as two of her precious pups succumbed to the extreme conditions. When D&A learned of Cassie's plight, they knew they had to act quickly. Her remaining puppies were fighting for their lives, and Momma Cassie was struggling to nourish them. D&A stepped in to provide the urgent care they so desperately needed. Cassie is still underweight and needs to regain her strength to care for her surviving puppies, who are incredibly fragile and require close monitoring and bottle feeding. This precious family needs a tremendous amount of care and support, and D&A is committed to giving them everything they need to thrive. We assessed the situation with extreme caution to avoid scaring them further. Our patience paid off, and we successfully trapped both dogs! Today, these two little ones are safe from the scorching heat and terrifying storms. They are now settling into warm beds and cool AC. However, they have so many fleas and are definitely underweight.
