Khali

Khali is a 6 year old Labrador Retriever in Union Gap, WA, who needs $5,000 for Uterine Removal Surgery/Pyometra.

Union Gap, WA

Khali has been part of our family since she was a puppy — a precious gift from my mom during my pregnancy with our son, Liam. She was just four months old when Liam was born, and the two of them have grown up side by side ever since. Khali has protected him, loved him, and followed him everywhere. She’s not just a dog — she’s his best friend, his comfort, and his guardian. Khali was diagnosed with pyometra, a life-threatening uterine infection. She had emergency surgery today, and her uterus weighed 5.7 lbs after removal. The procedure likely saved her life, but the medical costs are expected to reach around $5,000. We’re so grateful she made it through. Khali is truly one of a kind. She has been part of our family since she was a puppy and has grown up alongside our son, Liam. The bond they share is something special—she’s his best friend, protector, and constant companion. Khali is incredibly gentle, loving, and loyal. She follows us everywhere, always wants to be close, and believes she’s a lap dog no matter her size. She adores snuggling. I currently work as a paraprofessional, and while I don’t make a lot, Khali means everything to our family. The $5,000 surgery cost is a huge financial strain, but losing her was never an option. She’s family, and we’ll do whatever it takes to give her the chance to live.

Celeste

Celeste is a 5 year old Mix-Breed in Yakima, WA, who needs $500 for Asthma Examination, X-rays, and Treatment.

Yakima, WA

Celeste was rescued from a hoarding situation and has struggled with asthma since coming into my life. She is a brown tabby, 5 years old, and incredibly silly and playful. I am a single parent who works hard to provide for her but as we all know, vet bills are extremely expensive. Celeste has chronic asthma and is struggling from a recent flare-up that is leaving her wheezing with shallow breathing. She is going to need allergy testing and xrays for her treatment at Tieton Drive Animal Clinic. Celeste is a sweet and special girl who loves to cuddle and play. She is a laidback lady who brightens everyone's day. She is a kind and lovely lady who is the light of my life. This is a sudden major expense and after calling an emergency vet we know that immediate action is required to save Celeste's life. I would love to see her continue to live a long and happy duration free of stress.

SUGAR

Sugar is an 11-year-old Pug/Poodle Mix in Yakima, WA, who needs $1,150 for testing and treatment for bladder infection, diabetes, and congestive heart failure.

Yakima, WA

My dearest friend in the world is called Sugar. I chose her name because she’s the sweetest being God could have created for me. She was born in a litter of six and when I first saw her at 2 months old, I knew then that we were meant to be in one another’s lives. She’s every bit as special to me as a baby is to their father. She is also my doctor certified support animal too. Sugar is demanding of my loving attention and not a day goes by that she doesn’t kiss me on my lips and assures me that this life is worth living. Usually during the mornings after a good night’s rest sleeping together in the bed, Sugar is perky and mornings are our special time to connect and be a loving family. My dearest Sugar is a talker and she routinely yips to me when she needs something immediate from me. It’s adorable how she talks to me! It’s almost like we both understand one another intimately. Sometimes she rubs her nose with her front feet playfully when we love each other with a very happy expressions. She is my life. My baby has type 1 diabetes and congestive heart failure. She’s nearly blind as a result of the diabetes, and she’s currently being treated for a stubborn bladder infection. She also has arthritis from previous injuries. She is far from her time of rest. She’s had ongoing veterinary care at Tieton Drive Animal Clinic for about two years now and her primary care physician is Kristy Hammes DVM. Recently, my CareCredit card’s limit was reduced significantly and now I’m unable to maintain the level of veterinary care that I once could. Sugar is doing so well considering her medical challenges, but she does require constant blood sugar monitoring and general care.
