Sunny Boy
Sunny Boy is a 10 year old Maine Coon in Weaverville, CA, who needs $2,000 for Life-Saving Leg Amputation & Full Post-Op Care.
Weaverville, CA
Sunny Boy – Because He’s Like the Sun Sunny Boy has lived up to his name. He is warm, and a beautiful Maine Coon mix that is part of a rescue kitten bunch that were given to me and my Mom because the parents were shot. He is my Moms cat, and I own his brother and sister. But am advocating for them. This is uncomfortable- I am not the type of person to ask or burden others until very last resort. Sunny is gentle, kind, makes bad days better. But he was recently in a bad accident which severed his front brachial plexus nerve, which has caused the leg to be non-functional. Some cats regain mobility, some don’t. Trinity Animal Hospital has recommended amputation as the only humane and effective treatment. Despite this devastating news, he is still his warm sunny self and has ability for life. Despite everything, Sunny still purrs when held. He still reaches out for comfort. He loves being brushed every morning and hanging out with his neighbors which happen to be his beautiful black and silver mischievous brother Raider and very shy sister Hina if she's not hiding (Hawaiian for misty rain because of her beautiful colors). Again, this is uncomfortable - I am not the type of person to burden others. But I am overwhelmed. The ER care has been covered. The surgery will be another few thousand. Essentially, I am giving him a shot at life and medically sound decision. Anything will help.

Katybear
Katybear is a 11-year-old Rottweiler in Trinity Center, CA, who needs $2,000 for bladder stone removal .
Trinity Center, CA
I received Katybear for my birthday and she was 8 weeks old. She has been with me for 11 years. Katybear is an AKC long hair Rottweiler. I was at the gas station a couple years before I got her and was talking to a little girl. I asked her what her name was and it was Katy so I told her I was naming my dog Katy because it was beautiful. Long hair she looked like a bear,Katybear. Katybear has always slept in my bed. My 4 year old granddaughter & Katybear are best friends, she has the neighbors trained to bring her a treat, She loves walking in the woods, swimming and has made friends with the deer in the neighborhood and I have found her out laying in the yard with the deer. Been trying to get a pic but deer don't trust me like Katybear so they run off. I had lung cancer twice, lost 2 lobes of lung. I also have heart problems with clogging arteries. I am trying to get on disability. Katybear was acting like she had a urinary infection. I took her to the vet. She has a large bladder stone with a urinay infection caused by the stone. We tried to feed her a special food that dissolves stones for around 12 weeks,no luck.Needs surgery. Trinity Animal Hospital in Weaverville, Ca will perform the surgery. I trust Tom Nickerson, I wouldn't want anyone else to save my girl. Katybear has her own cat. The cat was a little feral when I first got her but she took right to Katybear and finally after 5 years let me in her life. Katybear when I received my granddaughter at birth took right to her and wherever Sofia was, Katybear was right there. Loves snow & swimming. Barks at fireworks and gun shots during hunting season. Very friendly & she is my best friend.
