oakley

oakley is a 5 year old Mix-Breed in Elkhart, IN, who needs $5,000 for Emergency Medical & Diagnostic Treatments.

Elkhart, IN

Oakley, or “Oaks” for short, is our sweet and loving dog. We chose his name because it was unique and fit him perfectly. He loves laying in the sun and rolling in the grass, which seems to be his happy place. Oaks is also an emotional support animal and brings so much comfort to our lives. He also loved playing with our bunny. He is truly the best companion and an important part of our family. Yesterday around 9pm he was playing with his ball when he started crying for help and started dragging his back legs around so we rushed him to a pet emergency hospital where he was admitted. They told us he maybe had ruptured discs or possible embolism. They can not treat him correctly without an MRI. Without treatment he won't be able to walk. Our dog thinks he's a person, he likes to watch tv, sleeping with a pillow and blanket in bed with his family members. Oaks never stays home alone, he even goes to work with us. He loves spreading kisses and happiness. He is well known and loved by a huge part of the community. Oakley is well manored, very calm, listens well, and a big sweetheart. He lives in the home with his 4 human sisters. Our family is currently adopting a daughter. We also have to move shortly. Court cost are very enormous and moving just adds to the finical stress. We have always paid for all of Oakley's needs. Unfortunately this time, we are struggling.

Buster

Buster is a 7 year old Mix-Breed in Anderson, IN, who needs $4,205 for Immunology - Oncept Vaccine Initial Series.

Anderson, IN

Buster unexpectedly came into our lives about 2 1/2 years. He emerged from a DIY shelter Erin had set up on our porch to serve as a refuge for strays and community cats during inclement weather and immediately set to work demonstrating his "bestest boy" character by trying to help us move a large armchair inside. Read more at www.thebestestboy,com/about! Just 2 months ago, an unusual growth appeared on Buster's back leg, and shortly after, Buster was diagnosed with a rare, aggressive, and fast-growing cancer. Our regular vet, Chesterfield Animal Hospital, referred us to VCA Advance Veterinary Care in Fishers for further testing and treatment options. Buster has always been our bestest boy, and he holds that honor through a thousand tiny moments: his loud purrs and gentle headbutts, the way he puts us to bed every night like clockwork, and his legendary talent for finding the smallest sliver of sunlight to curl up in and take a nap. He also follows all the rules: no scratching the couch, stay off the kitchen table, and play nicely with others! At the end of last year, we made the decision for Erin to reduce her working hours to part-time due to ongoing health issues. Buster's care, diagnostics, and treatment thus far have already totaled $5,560.15, and we simply cannot afford continued treatments on our own.

Penny Lane is a 7 year old Mix-Breed in Anderson, IN, who needs $1,113 for Supportive Care for Thrombocytopenia.

Anderson, IN

Penny Lane is a 7 year old “rescue” who has an 11 year old Basset Hound sister as well as 4 cat siblings. She has been in my life her whole life. I was originally her groomer, turned into her owner. She is a goofy mini goldendoodle who has a seizure disorder that is managed with medications. She is my emotional support and I am hers. We are inseparable. On Saturday April 25th, Penny was rushed to VCA Advanced Veterinary Care Center due to spontaneous bruising. She was diagnosed with thrombocytopenia, an autoimmune condition that attacks the platelets in her body. She is not out of the woods yet, and will need extensive vet care going forward. She is currently on round the clock medications and strict kennel rest to prevent further injury. Penny Lane is my whole world. She and her sister are the reason I get out of bed every day. Her bubbly personality always keeps a smile on my face and she knows when I need her the most. She will always come to me to comfort me when I am sad or crying. Even when she was at the ER she was trying to climb me to lick my tears away. She is such a devoted dog, just as I’m devoted to her. I am currently going through major health issues myself right now, making my income extremely limited. My job is VERY flexible with me and I’m honestly lucky to still have a job at this moment in time.

Lola

Lola is a 15 year old Mix-Breed in McCordsville, IN, who needs $11,000 for Fluid Therapy and Antibiotics.

McCordsville, IN

Lola has been with me since the day she was born. My mom rescued a dog off the highway, that dog and our family dog had puppies, & Lola is one of them. I’ve had her for more than half of my life-she is my best friend & has gotten me through all my hard times. Her nickname is Bags-I’m honestly not even sure where it started. She is sweet, calm, and loves to lie on the back of the couch like a cat. Lola has chronic kidney disease but recently started yelping out in pain when I pet her so I rushed her to the ER. She’s having an acute kidney episode and we discovered unknown GI disease. She’s been hospitalized for 4 days now. Her kidney levels have shown meaningful improvement but she’s not eating and will likely require more hospitalization and a feeding tube. Lola has never been interested in toys - her love languages are food & walks. She is not particularly cuddly, but she is my shadow. She follows me everywhere even if I only walk into the next room. She will be uncomfortable to be near me - lie on hard floors, sleep in uncomfortable positions. She has the cutest trot when she walks - sort of like a tiny horse (as she’s only 17lbs) We’ve lost 3 dogs in 1yr. My husband & I recently became sole caretakers of his grandmother who we had to move into a facility. In August, I was walking our other dog when a car came up on the sidewalk & hit us. Our dog was killed. I have injuries I’m still recovering from

Fort Wayne, IN

If you are reading this then this was ment to find you. I got Josie 4-3-15 @ the age of 8 weeks. She fit right in with our family of 7 + 2 Boston Terriers. She became a favorite of 1000's of people around the world. I always added clips of Josie & her 2 sisters Ruby & Ella at the end of my videos on my youtube channel. Sadly I lost her sisters in 2024 just 3 months apart at the age of 15 & 16. In 2024 Josie had a mast cell tumor on her paw. Had it removed. Otherwise her health has been great. On 2/7/26 she suffered a Grand Mal seizure. Went to ER. Had blood work done & was sent home. Had 2 more. Went back & she stayed. She's on 250mg Keppra, had 13 seizures. Added Phenobarbital. Went 1 week w/ no seizure. Rhis morning she had 1.She needs a MRI. Going to VCA 3/2 to speak to specialist Josie is a huge part of our family and means the world to us. I already lost her sisters & my heart can't handle loosing her too. She's been there for me when I recovered from a car wreck, brain injury and countless kidney infections. She's my rock and can always make me laugh and help me forget my pain. Everyone that's ever came around her has fallen in love with her. Her personality is gold. When my Boston got 2 cancers, broken leg & leg amputation I spent all my savings(over 30k) to get all the best care she needed. So know that Josie needs a MRI to pinpoint what's causing the seizures, and congestion I don't have the $3-$5k to pay for MRI that can save her!

Arleigh

Arleigh is a 3 month old Labrador Retriever in New Palestine, IN, who needs $2,000 for MRI.

New Palestine, IN

Arleigh was born in a litter from our male and female Labradors. The litter was not planned, but they are here! All puppies have found loving homes and we felt it best that Arleigh remain with us because she was born with mobility issues, possible spinal compression or intracranial disease. She needs and MRI to fully determine her diagnosis and develop a treatment plan. Arleigh has been to three different vet clinics. At VCA Advanced Vet Care Center, she was preliminarily diagnosed with intracranial disease but an MRI was recommended to fully diagnose her. Without this MRI we don'tt know the best course of treatment for Arleigh. We do know that, while she is small, she is mighty and has not declined. So, the doctors are optimistic she can live a happy life! Arleigh is a fighter. The odds were against her as she could not nurse as well as the others. But she is thriving and she is learning to work with her mobility issues. She is smart and loves to play, EAT, and be outside. She is definitely limited by her odd gate and bunny hopping, but she doesn't let it stop her at all. We love her will to live! In order to properly diagnose her so she can receive a treatment plan (surgery, physical therapy, etc.), Arleigh first needs and MRI. Since she was born this way, there is no insurance coverage and the MRI alone costs $3,100. We need your help!

Plainfield, IN

Frankie (A.k.a. pork rind) Is nine years old. She has been with us since she was a puppy. When we went to pick her up, we were going to get a Frank(male dog) and when we seen her brothers pushing her around at the food bowl, we decided to bring her home instead. She started having difficulty walking and an MRI revealed damage to T 13 through L1 hypoplastic articular facets and subarachnoid diverticulum. This has caused a cyst to form on her spinal column affecting her spinal cord and causing it to narrow And as a result, she has lost the function of her back legs. Frankie is a very social dog and thrives on making people laugh and pay attention to her. We used to teach a children’s church class and we would take Frankie. Some of the children were in difficult situations. Frankie would always help him smile and laugh and giggle. She has much left to contribute to the world and make us a better place. The surgery that she needs cost approximately $12,000. We have already paid $3300 for the MRI. We are trying to raise an additional $8000 so we can proceed with surgery. The surgery will hopefully halt the progression of this disorder.

Bennie is a 7-year-old Pit Bull Mix in Greenwood, IN, who needs $2,000 for Bilateral Cranial Cruciate Disease - TPLO Surgery.

Greenwood, IN

HI! I'm Bennie! I have to admit I started this life on the sketchy side of life. From what my humans say, I was found behind a dumpster in the pouring rain. The people who found me scanned me for a chip and put up flyers to see if I was missing. They were great, but they had three other fur babies, and I was just a little too much to handle; that's when my favorite humans took me in and adopted me Now that I am in a stable home and get all the love and belly rubs I could ever imagine, I get to meet more humans who instantly fall in love with me. I've claimed not only my human's hearts but their parent's hearts as well. I'm usually very quiet, but when I see other dogs out on walks, I will cry and cry just because I want to be friends with them. I am great at teaching hyper dogs to mind. My human says I am extremely animated. Apparently, I make faces and smile a lot. Well, except for right now, since I am in pain, and my knees really hurt. I think in another life, I was a first responder. I am always the first to want to help others. Whether it is another furry friend in need or a human, I'm there to assist and make things better even if I am in pain. Helping others is my priority Bennie has ruptured both of his knees and is being treated by Dr. James at VCA Advanced Veterinary Care Center. He requires TPLO surgery, which involves an osteotomy of the proximal tibia and caudal rotation of the proximal fragment to achieve a more level tibial plateau to prevent the femur from sliding off the back of the tibia, creating more stability. This is required for both knees. My lady human has to take an unpaid leave in order to help me recover, and she just finished an unpaid leave to help her mom recover from both of her knee surgeries. My man human works two jobs and makes just enough for a roof over our heads. $14,000 is a lot to come up with

New Castle, IN

Like a lot of others, I always dreamed of being a mom. Unfortunately I had medical problems that did not allow that to happen for me. So I became a dog mom instead. My sweet Luna came into my life when I didn't know I needed her the most. She has been my sidekick ever since. Her soft cuddly ears have been what I hold in my hands every night while falling asleep. Luna is the queen of our house. Her 2 brothers, and 2 pups, that are apart of our family, know she is the boss. She is the sweetest, and most kind soul, but they know if she is in her hoomans lap, then they better back off until she decides to get up. Her kind eyes make all who meet her fall in love. Luna loves attention from everyone, and doesn't know a stranger. She likes to wear team handkerchiefs around her neck to attend football and baseball games. She sometimes gets the boys in trouble for leaving the sidelines and dugouts to come see Luna girl. She likes to have her head and ears rubbed and if you stop early she forces her head back into you hand for more. Sweet Luna got out of the yard on 2/19 and went on an adventure with her brother. Friends and family were called immediately called to the rescue to find them. Her brother Roger returned a short time later without her. That's when momma really panicked. We found her walking down a train track towards home but realized she had been injured pretty badly. Requiring emergency attention and treatment. My sweet girl has a skull fracture, sinus fractures, neck fracture, and a rib fracture. All those things have remained stable and do not require surgery. She had a traumatic tail amputation that has developed infection and needs surgery.

My husband and I had recently got married and thought what better way to celebrate than adopting a dog. After checking a variety of different shelter we heard a story about an 8 week old puppy with 4 BB gun pellets found throughout his body. We knew we needed to adopt him and give him an amazing life. He also has a big brother (dog) and 3 big sisters (cats) that he loves to play with. Ryder has never met a person or animal he doesn’t love. He is also so snuggly and affectionate. He loves running around with our older dog and chewing anything he can get his paws on. Ryder LOVES hard chew toys and playing fetch. He also enjoys chasing his tail when he feels it is not cooperating with him. Whenever he gets the chance to hangout in our backyard he goes on neighborhood watch. We know we are protected from all the leaves and squirrels that might make their way into our yard. Ryder is currently fighting for his life from pneumonia and pulmonary edema. He also has a foreign body in his stomach which can’t be addressed until he gets better from the pneumonia. Ryder is currently being treated at the VCA emergency vet in Fishers, IN by Dr. Leto. The treatment so far have cost around $15,000 and unfortunately he is still not out of the woods. Between the continued oxygen and IV antibiotics we will likely be look at at least another $10,000 and that’s before the scope to remove the foreign body.

Our sweet Luna started out life with some not so nice people. She was locked in a shed, left for dead, when the people moved out. The neighbors heard the puppy in the shed, and called animal control. Luna had spent approximately 5 days pad locked in a storage shed at just 3 months old. We adopted her at 5 months old from a shelter, and despite her rough start, she such a loving and sweet girl. Luna is very loved and spoiled in our home. Our adult daughter would say, she is more loved than her! She sleeps in our bed, snuggled between us. We just celebrated her 1st birthday with a cupcake and unicorn stuffies. She goes everywhere with us, and we cant imagine life without her. Luna is a daddy's girl. When he was hospitalized she was heartbroken. She adores her new puppy sister Willow. Luna is a talker, she tells quite the story sometimes. She sighs, grumbles and groans like a person. Her favorite thing is the water hose. She always has her head flipped in some weird position to make you laugh, and always has that pitty smile on her face. Everyone who meets her, loves her. She loves to use her feet to flip toys, or stand on something she doesn' want moved, like the vacuum cord. During poop zoomies, she ran into a piece of metal. Luna fractured her C2 vertebra and broke her sinus cavity above her eye. Luna will be under going a $14k surgery at VCA Animal Hospital 10.12.23 to remove pieces of broken bone, fuse 2 vertebra, place some screws & glue to stabilize the neck so she can live pain free, and turn her head without the risk of bone pieces damaging her spinal cord. Luna's dad was hospitalized for 16 days with disseminated Histoplasmosis in July 23 & off work for 60 days. He's on expensive meds for 12 months & the hospital bills have taken their toll. We adopted Macy in 2013 when she was 8 months old. Her former owners had chosen to have her euthanized because she needed an expensive surgery after ingesting legos. I was fortunate to be working at a vet hospital at that time and was able to get the surgery for her at a discount. She is an important part of our family and is the sweetest girl. Macy is so sweet and gentle with our young grandkids. She loves all people and gets along great with our other dogs and the cat. When we lost our other dog to a disease in 2021, she stuck to my side and brought me so much comfort. She hates to see anyone sad and will lick the tears right off your face. Macy is such a well behaved dog. She doesn’t bark or jump on visitors. The only time she makes a fuss is when it’s treat time. As soon as she gets done eating, she knows it’s cookie time, and will definitely let you know if you’re taking too long to get it to her! Macy has a tumor on her face which has been diagnosed as Ancanthomatous Ameloblastoma. The doctors at VCA Advanced believe the tumor can be treated with radiation and give her back the years of life she would normally have. Without treatment, the tumor will continue to grow aggressively and we could lose her within months. The treatment plan is much more than we can possibly afford at this time. Due to a loss of income last year, we are already stretching funds from month to month. We love Macy so much and she deserves to live her full life.

We loved her immediately. Pepper has been the most steadfast, sweetest, silliest, best friend to my husband and I. Pepper loves her papa and follows him around the house incessantly. She loves to snuggle under blankets and has the most pushy way of telling you she wants pets. She sleeps often at our feet but takes the hint pretty well when it's time to go to her own bed. She loves her people fiercely and makes friends quickly. The one thing we are sure of is that Pepper's main priority is playing as much frisbee as possible. She is not a very graceful leash walker but loves to explore. She loves giving weird hugs when you crouch down and gets too excited about meeting new people to let them pet her immediately. She has a whole trick and frisbee routine, and loves to sit between your legs! Pepper has B-Cell Lymphoma. This is treatable, not curable. Pepper has had zero indications up until two weeks ago when she stopped eating and developed enlarged liver, spleen, and lungs. It happened so quickly. She has been given a prognosis of 6 months with dosage every 3 weeks or 9-13 months with the CHOP protocol. My husband and I recently bought a house and needed to get him a car for work. I have student loans coming in and have now spent 7 thousand just getting a diagnosis. We cannot afford an additional & sudden 7 thousand to keep her alive and healthy for the 9-13 months.

Caesar was a stray wandering my mom's neighborhood. She sent me his picture and I fell in love at first sight! We've been together 7 years now, and he's truly my best buddy. He's smart, spunky and feisty — much mightier than his size suggests. I recently adopted another rat terrier named Daisy, and he's bonded with his sister. He cleans her every day and plays sheriff when she's not behaving. Caesar loves a cozy bed, and he's often found sleeping belly up with his paws in the air. He loves walks, of course, playing with all his toys, and hangin' with mom and demanding belly rubs. He's extremely smart and is good at communicating exactly what he wants. They say you can't teach an old dog new tricks, but he recently learned roll over at around age 9! Caesar has lots of nicknames, but the most popular is Sneezy. He gets so excited when I come home that he smiles and then gets into a sneezing attack. He has endless funny terrier quirks. He loves walks but doesn't appreciate runners one bit, so I have to keep him close when one goes by so they don't get an ankle nip. He loves bath time and a good blow dry after, followed by some zoomies. Caesar is currently in the vet hospital. He had emergency surgery for bladder stones - one that was completely blocking his urethra and threatening his kidney function. He's not out of the woods yet because he also had sepsis, but he's recovering & holding steady. I'll pay any amount to get him better, but the vet bills are at about $12,000 & growing, and I'm running out of funding sources to tap I had some savings, but certainly not enough to cover vet bills this large. I've also reached my limit with Care Credit. I just want to be able to pay for all the care needed to bring my boy home. He is so loved!

I couldn't bear to part from her she was very caring and careful for such a small dog. She currently lives with me and her brother Black. They have been together their whole lives. Itty has always slept in the bed with me. She was my supervisor when I was unable to walk for a year. She likes to walk around outside and graze she is very good at suckering people into giving her treats. She uses being cute to her advantage and is very addicted to her sweaters. She likes to be friends with everyone takes it personally when they leave Black is her favorite she lets him cuddle as much as he'd like in trade she gets to clean his face. When she was able to walk she'd act tough to the vacuum but as soon as it came near her she ran away. She always nudges my arm with her paw on my knee to get cuddles and to get under the blanket. Whenever she is not getting her way she always sticks her bottom lip out and it is the most adorable thing ever and then she shakes to make you feel guilty into giving in which I always do. I'm looking to cure the problem. Surgery for her soft tissue sarcoma compressing on her spine along with chemotherapy will restore her ability to walk. VCA Advanced Veterinary Care Center in Fishers, Indiana. Dr. Cross is the treating veterinarian. She is still very healthy supported by regular visits to her vet. I had to leave my job that I was at for 5 years I had transferred to get out of a toxic work environment that was mentally and physically taking a toll on me. At the new location it didn't get better, the emotional abuse from my boss as well as physical abuse from guests ultimately made it very important that I left. To have her be healthy again would mean the world. We are survivors of domestic abuse. She got me through very dark times along with her mom who passed away on the day that we were leaving. She protected us as we were getting out and due to that situation after protecting us from our attacker she had a stress induced seizure and passed away. To have my little girl walk again would make my heart happy considering she was my supervisor when I could not walk for a year.

Mekah is over 12 years old. I have had her since she was a puppy. I adopted her from an adoption-day event at a pet store. She lives in our home with our cat, my son, myself and my wife. Mekah spent 11 years of her life attached at the hip to Ava, her older rescue-sister. Ava unfortunately passed away of oral cancer last year because we could not afford surgery and cancer treatment. She is such a character! Her personality is charming and she attracts attention from strangers wherever she goes! She is playful with our cat and with us. When she gets bored, she goes into silly playful mode and really knows how to make us laugh. Tossing a sock or blanket on her head for her to pose with always brings a smile! She is also a well-mannered lady. She loves to toss up her blankets in the air and root around in them to entertain herself. She chases her chew toys around the living room. When Mekah sees our cat, she always tries to play with her by trotting up to her throwing her paws up and outward to plop down low in front of the cat. The cat usually couldn't be bothered which is so funny to watch! Dr Kerri Rechner at VCA Advanced Vet Care Center has diagnosed Mekah's cancer mass on her left front elbow and offered a treatment plan for surgery and radiation therapy. We were told the cancer mass is localized to her elbow. Mekah just lost her older sister Ava to cancer of the mouth last year, so we are hoping to be able to get care for Mekah. I am finishing up college full time while working. My wife works as well as a teacher. We have large amounts of student loan debt that most of our income goes toward. She has to have surgery soon to fix her legs. Our little Sage is 7 months old. Sage always wants to be where we are, however she lives to be outside running around. At night she sleeps in her bed but will get up to snuggle with Dad. She is always by our side and is full of love and kisses. Even though we know she is in pain, she is always just happy to be with us. She is such an amazing strong dog. We love her so much. Sage's dad and I are both divorced and trying to pick up the pieces. So lucky we found each other. Right now we live paycheck to paycheck. We don’t have the extra funds to pay for this at all. It makes me so sad that we can’t get this done sooner rather than later. She had a severe case of elbow dysplasia. She is going to have an ulna release on both front paws. It’s going to be a rough surgery and recovery. She goes to the VCA Animal Hospital in Fishers, IN and her amazing surgeon is Dr. Tim James. We are so blessed to have him on our team, as well as her primary vet Dr. Christine. Sage is so good all the time. She loves to go for car rides and meet people. She is also a very fierce cricket hunter. She loves to get them and bring them to mommy. Her favorite toy is anything that she can chew but she has never chewed on anything that she’s not supposed to. She is a dream dog and we love her so.

Navi

Navi is a 1-year-old Puggle in Middletown, IN, who needs $1,830 for Humerus Diaphyseal Fracture.

Middletown, IN

She is my sweet Beagle Bella's baby and was born this past spring she is energetic loving and sweet. She spends her days playing with her mom and dad and enjoying the outdoors. Her name is Navi but we often call her puppy. She has a dog family at home including her mom dad and uncle. She has a spacious back yard to run and play and loves spending her time outside. She is a great cuddler and loves. The other dogs. She is so full of energy and tries to keep up with the adult dogs as well. She is a pug beagle mix and is the sweetest baby. She loves to swim and often swims in her water bowl. The big dogs adore her and keep and eye out to make sure she is ok. They are heartbroken she is not well. Unfortunately we do not have an emergency fund set up and never expected for out puppy to get hurt so traumatically. I work full time and have 2 teenage kids and have had many unexpected expenses due to owning a very old home and car. Our dogs are our babies. She is so energetic and is always trying to keep up with the big dogs she injured her leg jumping off the back of the couch. Unfortunately her leg broke in half and will require surgery to have rods placed and follow up care. Since she is young there is a chance with surgery her leg can heal quickly and she may never have issues again. Her favorite things to do are hunt crickets and swim in her baby pool. She loves playing with her mom and dad who are puggle and beagle breeds and they make the sweetest family. She is a small dog and will likely stay small her whole life. She has the best personality and is always happy and playful.

Puppy Godiva

Puppy Godiva is a Labrador Mix puppy in Lewisville, IN, who needs $1,200 for emergency hospitalization.

Lewisville, IN • Lucky Lab Rescue & Adoption

Lucky Lab Rescue and Adoption saved Puppy Godiva and her entire family from a shelter in Mississippi that euthanizes animals. The group arranged for the mama dog and puppies to be brought to their headquarters in Indiana. And just when the nonprofit rescue thought everyone was safe, Godiva became sick. She started showing neurological issues, was twitching, and could not walk well. The president of the rescue, Katherine Martin, rushed Godiva to the animal hospital. "It is so heartbreaking to have a sick puppy," Katherine tells Waggle. "We expect them to have happy stories and great new lives, but life threw us a curveball." VCA Advanced Veterinary Care Center admitted Godiva immediately and brought in a neurologist to evaluate her. She has been on fluids and medication while the medical team runs tests to figure out the cause. "We hope that Godiva will make a full recovery, and she will be adopted into a loving family. We think she is simply adorable," Katherine adds. Lucky Lab Rescue and Adoption saves dogs from the Midwest, South, and Texas. The rescue is not afraid to take on tough medical cases and won't turn dogs away if they need advanced veterinary care. But they can only keep their doors open with help from generous donors. "We are so thankful for any support we can get," Katherine says. "This has been a hard year donation-wise. So many people are out of work, and we have not been able to hold in-person events and fundraisers like we did before the pandemic hit. It has been challenging."

Tesla — 928a4f

YORKTOWN, IN

Hello, I rescued my dog, Tesla, in August 2011 when she was four months old. The rescue, ARF, is near where I live in Indiana. The rescue found Tesla running loose downtown with another dog. She is a part of my family which includes my boyfriend, daughter, grand baby, mom, brother, and nephew. Tesla lives with me. She is my baby. We love her very much. The thought of losing her is devastating. A typical day begins with Tesla sleeping in her bed which is next to my bed. She loves to spend time in my back yard which is fenced. One of Tesla's favorite things to do is go to the park near my home. We go there to walk. In the evenings she likes to snuggle and get belly rubs. Around 11pm, Tesla will ask to go out to potty. When she comes in, she reminds me if her bedtime treat isn't ready! In March when the virus shut down businesses, I lost my job. The cost of surgeries, exams, and testing totals $4,941.23. I am in desperate need of assistance to pay these expenses. This surgery will save Tesla's life. Please help me save my baby. She has many years left! This summer Tesla developed a large mass on her stomach. We went to see our vet at the Animal Medical Center. The vet said she thought the mass was a fatty tumor and scheduled surgery. After the surgery, the tissue was sent to a lab where they determined Tesla has Sarcoma (cancer). Tesla was then seen by an oncologist at VCA who recommended another surgery to remove a part of the intestinal wall. Tesla is very smart. She loves to play with toys like Kongs. She works to get her treats by solving a puzzle. She will pickup the toy and drop it on the floor or roll it around the house to get her treats out ot them. Her tail wags the whole time she's playing. She loves to watch squirrels. At the park, she will sit near a tree to watch the squirrels play. She likes to see her friends there too!

Titan

Titan is a 2-year-old Pitbull in Avon, IN, who needs $2,000 for CCL TPLO.

Avon, IN

Titan was just 4 weeks old when we got him, I was actually going to get his sister! Their mommy kept kicking them off from feeding because she was bleeding so bad from their scratching. When I got there to get the girl, he was following her everywhere and he was so little and cute. He had the bluest eyes of all and I couldn’t separate him from his sissy. Titan is literally a mommas boy! He follows me everywhere I go and he sleeps with me every night, he literally sleeps under the cover with his head on my pillow! He is my best friend. He is so sweet and loving, he follows his sissy everywhere too! I can take him anywhere; he doesn’t know a stranger. He gets everyone’s attention. He has been a blessing to our household. We love him dearly. I’m a Flight Attendant and hours are cut due to Covid, so to pay for this surgery is impossible right now. But, I just can’t watch him suffer, it’s been since March but just now steady off his leg. Thank you for any help. Titan had both his legs broke at Barkefellers when he was 5 months old, the owner promised when he needed this surgery he would pay. Well two years later he needs the surgery and he won’t pay. He suggested I go to the VCA Care Center so I did. They have all his records. I have had an attorney reach out to the owner Rick Coffey and he won’t respond. It’s sad because Titan cannot use his leg now. Titan and his sister came into my life at a time when I needed them most. I didn’t know how dogs could have an impact on you, but my brother passed away it was traumatic for me. When I later learned that my dogs were born on his death day, I knew it was meant to be! Titan has been a support for me; knowing he is always home waiting on me and always happy to see me means the world to me.

Scout is a 6-year-old Lhasa Apso mix in Kokomo, IN, who needs 2,745 for injections to reduce a tumor.

Kokomo, IN

Scout was an older stray at the local animal shelter. She was anxious and sad but she stole my heart. I noticed some lumps and bumps when I adopted her but I resolved to give her the best life possible. Scout is definitely my girl. She is always by my side. She loves walks and trips to the dog park. Now that she's been with me for two years, the anxiety is gone. She feels safe and loved in her forever home. But two years is not enough time. I want to help her get fully healthy. She has survived the removal of one malignant tumor. Thankfully the cancer has not spread but there is one more tumor removal and radiation treatment to go.

He came into my life because my brother was given a two puppies from a litter and kept Eddy's sister. He's the first dog I've had that wasn't a Boston Terrier in years, but he fits right in with family.

While we were at the funeral, one of my aunt's friends told me that my aunt had said, "if anything happens to me, I want Doug to have Toby". Well, Toby went home with us and has been with us ever since. Unfortunately he has developed cancer and needs chemotherapy and possibly radiation.

Miley is an 11-year-old Golden Retriever in Centerville, IN, who needs $2,000 for a leg amputation due to a tumor.

CENTERVILLE, IN

I've raised Miley from a puppy. I purchased her from a breeder. She is now 11. She has three dog siblings which were rescued and one cat sibling. One of her dog siblings is her best friend. Her name is Lily. Another of the dog siblings thinks of Miley as her Mother. They all love her. She is smart, sweet and very loving. She is my happiness. I could have a bad day and with just one hug from her, everything seems right again. She developed a tumor on her back leg which was removed but came back larger. I'm told she will need her leg amputated but has a possible tumor on her spleen and needs more tests before they can amputate her leg. Her leg has open sores which im told will not heal. I have been trying to treat her wounds as best I can but there are more of them daily.
