Specks
Specks is a 3 month old Pembroke Welsh Corgi in Phoenix, AZ, who needs $5,000 for Portosystemic Shunt.
Phoenix, AZ
Sometimes the smallest companions make the biggest difference. Specks, a Corgi and Heeler mix and the runt of his litter, came into my life to help with depression and anxiety. In just 6 weeks, his love and companionship have made a meaningful difference. Living with family, he brings joy every day, and his spotted coat inspired his perfect name: Specks. My puppy, Specks, is facing a possible liver shunt. His ammonia and bile acid levels are dangerously high, and he's had recurring episodes of blood in his urine requiring antibiotics. He's on a special prescription liver diet, and the next step is a CT scan and ultrasound to confirm the diagnosis and determine if he will need surgery or lifelong treatment. Specks is more than a puppy, he's my best friend and emotional support during a very difficult chapter of my life. When depression and anxiety made even simple days feel overwhelming, he brought light back into my world. Watching him fight through his medical challenges with such a happy spirit breaks my heart. He deserves every chance to live a long, healthy life, and i will never stop fighting. Specks brought light back into my life when I needed it most. A healthy future for him would mean everything to me. The financial burden of his care is overwhelming, and every donation brings us closer to answers and treatment. Thank you for believing in Specks and helping us get him care.

Nike
Nike is a 11 Year Old Mix-Breed in Mesa, AZ, Who Needs $6,000 for Thyroidectomy Surgery.
Mesa, AZ
This is Nike, my 11-year-old best friend and adventure buddy. She’s the kind of dog who still acts like a puppy, she’s happy, fast, playful, and full of love. She’s obsessed with snow, beaches, hiking trails, swimming, and greeting every kid and dog she sees. She’s still so full of life, still ready for her next adventure, and I’m determined to give her that chance. A few days ago, she was diagnosed with thyroid cancer at VCA Animal Hospital. Her vet says a thyroidectomy gives her a great chance of beating this, but the surgery costs over $6,000, which I can’t cover alone. We caught it early, it has not spread or metastasized, however we need to remove it right away to keep these good odds. Nike is the sweetest girl. My little velcro dog is always by my side. She is so curious and gentle, she loves kids and making friends with other dogs. She has never met a stranger, and always knows who needs comfort. She still thinks she’s a puppy, she has the goofiest personality. My senior rescue dog Moo Moo passed away three days before Nike was diagnosed. The combined costs of emergency visits at the same time has put me in a tight place financially. Nothing could have prepared me to have two sick dogs at the same time. Anything helps.

Echo
Echo is a 4 year old Pug in Phoenix, AZ, who needs $2,000 for Immuno Transfer Treatment.
Phoenix, AZ
Echo came into our life in fall 2023. We rescued her from a local shelter. She was an amazing addition to our family. We have 2 dogs and they are like a yin yang - they balance each other. I thought it was meant to be because both dogs have the birthday of 10/1/21. She was rescued off the streets from an Arizona town and she sure does act like it. She’s a survivor. She has so many smart skills. Echo was doing fine then suddenly got diarrhea. Then it turned bloody. We got her out to the ER - VCA Animal Referral and Emergency Center of Arizona where she was diagnosed with canine ITP. Her body is basically destroying its own platelets causing her blood not to clot. Echo is the best big sister to her brother Louie who is a chihuahua mix. She is so easy going. My son picked her out at the rescue event but she is definitely mama’s girl. She is so sweet and loving. She deserves a chance to fight Echo getting sick was very unexpected. Life is expensive- money is tight. I help my son financially as he is a senior at University. The treatment plan is expensive and she deserves a chance to survive to fight. My finances shouldn’t stop her fight

Blaze
Blaze is a 1 year old American Pit Bull Terrier in Blaze, AZ, who needs $2,000 for Pericardiocentesis, Cytology, Coccidioidmycosis.
Blaze, AZ
Blaze was born on the anniversary of my boyfriend and I, and it felt meant to be. We already have 2 other dogs, one a pittbull from the same parents as him, and an 11 year old chiweenie. We live in a townhome in Arizona, that is the cheesiest place we can afford. Iy has a nice backyard for the dogs to run in and no pet deposit required. He has fluid sac in his heart as well as his abdomen, and making it hard for him to breathe. We have him home now, despite vets reccomendations, due to the cost of overnight care and treatment. They want to drain the fluid under sedation, and the sac in his heart is risky. We don't have the $3000 on hand, want him to get better, & figure out why this happened, before we go the route we dont want. Blaze & his brother Smoke bonded instantly and they are inseparable. Blaze is very emotionally intuitive & loves to make sure mom and dad are ok with all the cuddles & nudges. He is very food motivated & aims to please. He & his brother play all day, especially with the rope we have hanging on our tree. He enjoys walks, but is so eager he likes to pull, despite how mom works to not let him. I was laid off last spring unexpectedly & have been trying to catch up on my own finances. My boyfriend is in the same boat as well. To have Blaze healthy again would mean the world to us. They make us want to live for them and have the best life possible.

Draco
Draco is a 3 year old American Pit Bull Terrier in Tempe, AZ, who needs $2,000 for abdominal ultra sound imaging/ct scan.
Tempe, AZ
We got Draco from a guy we knew a few years back. He was abusing him, trying to make him mean. We couldn’t just leave him with the guy. Luckily he got arrested and asked if we could take him for a few days. We suggested he leave the dog with us permanently as we were more capable at the time to take care of him. The guy wound up leaving him with us. He is having digestion or abdominal problems. I’m not certain if he managed to ingest something he shouldn’t have; like a spring clip or chicken bone or any number of other things. Or if he is possibly just partially constipated. All I know is he is in distress. We want to take him to an emergency vet. However, we don’t have the funds due to my being laid off. He’s special because even though he was mistreated; he is still the nicest and sweetest dog you will ever meet. He just wants to be included and be part of the family. I was laid off last month. My bf, just got hired on the with a temp agency. We’re staying in one of the homeless hotels. We’re trying to get ourselves back on track. I don’t want Draco to suffer because of our shortcomings. It’s not fair to him. He’s too good of a friend.

Lazer
Lazer is a 6-month-old Mixed Kitten in Mesa, AZ, who needs $500 for Uveitis.
Mesa, AZ
Lazer is a rescue (: him and his sister were bottle fed as babies. We recently moved from out of state to Arizona and unfortunately Lazer came down with an eye infection that rapidly became extremely serious. Lazer loves everything and everyone. He is so carefree and cuddly but also curious and adventurous! Him and his sister loved to play hide and seek, he also loved cuddling with anyone who would cuddle him. He’s a love bug all around and I can’t wait to see him play this way again Lazer loves to play like he’s hunting things and will do so gently and curiously. His absolute favorite is bubbles, this kid LOVES bubbles, he will try to catch every bubble you blow. Lazer eye infection went bad really fast. He was squinting one night so I contacted an online vet in the morning. Everything seemed okay, possibly just a hair caught in the eye. I got him an eye wash from pet smart but before it even arrived that day his eye went bloodshot cloudy. I took him to the ER vet with the last amount of change I could scoop together due to not having much after moving Loss of job caused this to become something I wish I never had to do. I saved Lazer life as a baby and not being able to take him to the vet now, it’s hard. His health declined even after medication and I can’t afford to take him back. I love my little papas

Cold Brew
Cold Brew is a 8-year-old Domestic Shorthair Cat in Tempe, AZ, who needs $2,000 for Rhinoscopy.
Tempe, AZ
Cold Brew was dropped off a Trader Joe's and me and my roommate decided to take her in despite the breathing problems.. we are college students and fell in love with how she is brown and a tuxedo, super cool, she was also so friendly and seemed to just want love and pets. We brought her in not knowing we would spend thousands of dollars on vet bills that we can't afford. Cold Brew seems like she wants to be able to say hi to everyone, get love, and be able to play with anyone she encounters. She is curious and will go up to new people without any fear, and will go up to other cats that clearly do not want anything to do with her. CB is especially loving to both me and my roommate and will just lie down and cuddle on our laps, always wanting physical touch. Cold Brew is a brown and white tuxedo, I've never encountered a cat that looks like this. She of course loves to sit in the sunrays and loves treats. However, she goes crazy for Churu's? She will hold the squeeze tube with her paws so no one takes it away from her (pictured)???? She came into our lives with breathing problems and little did we know she had decaying teeth that needed to be pulled. We got her teeth pulled but the URI did not go away no matter how much we went to the vet, her gums got inflamed causing her to not want to eat, even churus. VCA thinks that she might have a polyp in her sinus causing it. We need to do a CT scan, rhinoscopy, and probably surgery We are college students. We can't afford all of these constant procedures especially if they persist like they have been. She adds so much to both of our lives and it'd suck if we had to give her up, but we are willing, if that means she'll get proper treatment.

Mr. Burns
Mr. Burns is a 5-year-old Domestic Shorthair Cat in Phoenix , AZ, who needs $2,000 for Soft Tissue Removal.
Phoenix, AZ
While working as a in-home care giver the family's cat had kittens, Mr. Burns was the last one to need a home and I could not say not to his cute little stub tail. Mr. Burns loves to help my sister and I do homework and wake us up in the middle of the night for play time. When I'm suffering from a migraine, he's always willing to lay in bed and give me cuddles to help me feel better. He also loves living with his cousin and chasing feathers together. His little stub tail is always wagging and his long legs lead to a cute little body. He loves to chase the crickets and geckos that sneak in the house. Mr. Burns has a cyst near his anus that is causing constipation. The fluid inside thr cyst is antibiotic resistant to most, there is only one that might help but poses risk to the kidneys. We are looking to have surgery to remove the cyst so that he can no longer be constipated. As college students who just moved away from home, my sister and I have no savings left and have extended our credit while trying to figure out the issue at hand.

Lucy
Lucy is a 6-year-old German shepherd in Glendale, AZ, who needs $1,980 for Aspergillus Discospondylitis.
GLENDALE, AZ
Lucy came home with me when she was 8 weeks old. She is a black and tan German Shepherd with the best ears! Lucy has hip dysplasia and arthritis in her back legs, but it is managed with supplements and doesn't affect her much. She is currently my only dog. She loves fetch and taking naps in the sun. Lucy was the only dog for the first 4 years of her life. Two years ago, I started hospice fostering and Lucy has been great with all 3 of our fosters. We also have a hedgehog who she tolerates. Lol Lucy is very sweet and loving, bus has the big GSD bark and will let us know if anyone is too close! Once you walk in and she gets a good sniff, she will bring you a toy and is putty in your hands. I work full time as a nanny and have already spent thousands on diagnostics and meds over the last 4 months. I just can't afford the cost of these injections. Lucy was having trouble walking and was losing weight and her spine got really sensitive a few months ago. She was diagnosed with Aspergillus Discospondylitis and we started a treatment of Fluconazole, Terbinafine, Gabapentin and Clavamox. She improved a bit but her spine was becoming sensitive again & she lost more. She now needs 6-8 injections of Amphotericin B. Lucy has always had the most expressive eyes and the best ears. She can't hear anymore, but when she could, she had the best head tilts! She is a very gentle eater and will take such a nice bite off a fork or spoon. She loves kids and sometimes listens better to them than she does to me. She is just the biggest sweetheart.

Bella
Bella is a 10-year-old Boxer in Phoenix, AZ, who needs $900 for Eval and TX Seizure Disorder.
Phoenix, AZ
Bella entered our life a little over ten years ago. She originally was my daughter's pet but when she moved out she was unable to take her. We bonded quickly because just 2 weeks prior I had my first cancer surgery and was recovering. She has been there for me in the following treatments and surgeries that would arise. Bella has no clue that she is a dog. She believes that she is human and will prove that fact as soon as you meet her.. She sits in chairs, looks in boxes or cabinets as I open them, sleeps under the covers, and even sleeps with her head on a pillow. She even will alert me when it is time for her medications. I am currently going thru a divorce and was laid off due to COVID-19 due to working in an ENT office. The cost keeps going up and I do not want her to suffer. Each seizure makes her brain swell. About 5 years ago, Bella had MELANOMA and started getting bumps all over. She then started having seizures about 2 years ago and is on very costly medications twice a day (6 pills total). Without this medication, she has seizures every three hours but with the medication she does not have a seizure for 6 or more months. Bella is nicknamed wiggle butt. When she is excited she wiggles so much and bends her body in half that she falls over at times. if your lucky back in the day she would even box with you. She is a very talkative furry child as well. Some say she sounds like chubaca (spelled wrong I am sure) from star wars.

Moose
Moose is a 3-year-old Saint Bernard in Chandler, AZ, who needs $5,000 for a liver biopsy .
Chandler, AZ
Moose has been a staple in our family from day one. Brought him home at 8 weeks old and have never looked back. He is labeled our “first born” as we just has a newborn come into our life. We cant imagine not having him here in our home. He’s still our puppy but he has matured and is very gentle around the baby.

Fendi
Fendi is a 1-year-old Domestic Shorthair cat in Phoenix, AZ, who needs $4,197 for removal of a blockage in his colon.
Phoenix, AZ
I will never forget the day Fendi came into our lives it was on July 11, 2018. It was monsoon season and it had been raining hard with lots of thunder and lightening that day and everyday for 4 days prior. We were just leaving a friends house when he approached me letting out the cutest meow I ever heard in my life! He was covered in mud, cold, starving and appeared weak as he came closer to me. First thing I noticed was how small he was, as I picked him up and looked into those beautiful eyes it was love instantaneously!!! As we locked eyes my husband knew too that he was now our baby, Fendi instantly got comfortable in my hand and fell asleep, I covered him with my other hand and drew him close to my chest to keep him warm. When we got him home we fed him salmon, with a side of milk and water, when he finished eating I gave him a warm bath. We landed on the name Fendi for a few reasons, after trying out several names Fendi is the only one that he would respond to and because after his bath we noticed he had the high end fashion line Fendi symbols on his fur pattern. Fendi is such a special little man and has brought so much light and joy into our lives! Fendi is a big brother to Armani she's a Yorkie mix we were blessed with in May 2019, they are a bonded inseparable pair. They play all day running all over the house, their favorite game is chase and catch the ribbons. Fendi has taught her to be a cat and has taught her well lol I've never seen a dog use their paws like a cat does. Not only do they play together, they eat together and sometimes sleep together in the same bed. Since Fendi has been sick Armani has been so sad sticking by his side giving him kisses and laying with him, it makes me so sad to see this and brings me to tears even as I write this. Fendi is such a ham, one of our favorite things we do together since he was a baby is taking pictures, he poses, gives looks while I snap away and he loves it as much as I do, you can see it in the photos we take. Fendi is just as close and shares a special bond with my husband he calls "Dah" he talks to my husband and I swear has said other human words several times. No one believes us until they spend time at our house and witness it for themselves. Fendi is so smart, clean and he really is a special little man! Fendi is great with our children as well, he checks on them, gives them kisses and really is so loving and sweet.

Peanut
Peanut is a 1-year-old Domestic Shorthair in Tucson, AZ, who needs $278 for diagnosis of mass on back.
Tucson, AZ
Peanut was a stray cat when I found him in my apartment complex. It took a lot of time to gain his trust and to get him to let me pet him. One night in the middle of a monsoon I grew worried because of how windy and rainy it was. I ran out to find him. I found him hunched in a staircase on his way to my door. I scooped him up and brought him inside where he spent the night curled into my arm. The next day he escaped. I searched for him for a bout a month and was beginning to give up. He was picked up by a shelter who happened to do adoption events at where I work. They brought him in and I was ecstatic to see him. He started crying and as soon as I picked him up he stopped. He must have remembered me. I adopted him right then. He came complete with neutering, microchip and shots which I was planning to do over time.

Coco
Coco is a 1-year-old American Staffordshire Terrier-mixed breed, in Tucson, AZ, who needs $1,418 for the treatment of seizures.
Tucson, AZ
I've owned my dog for about a year now. When I adopted her it was right after the death of my kitten and my grandmother picked her out. She half growled at me in the kennel and turned away from us but when we took her out she was all cuddles and love. She started having seizures at about 11 months old. When we adopted her the shelter we got her from did not disclose the possibility of her being exposed to distemper. It was a fight to get them to take her back and treat her. She had 38 seizures in a series of 48 hours and is lucky to be alive by all standards. She was stable for about a year until July when she started having break through cluster seizures. She is my companion in everything and has helped me get through PTSD from prior relationships and extreme anxiety as well as a recent diagnosis of bipolar disorder.

Truck
Truck is a 5-year-old Labrador mix in Mesa, AZ who needs $2,000 for treatment for pancreatitis.
Mesa, AZ
I found Truck at a truck stop while working. He was so tiny and looked like a little bear cub!! Took him to the vet and found out her was only 3 weeks old, 2lbs 6 oz and very dehydrated. My husband and I instantly fell in love with this kind, loving little boy! For the first few weeks he slept on my chest because he was scared to be alone, the sweet soul! He has been one of our children ever since. He is funny, loving and just the best dog I have ever met. He and I have a special bond that will never be broken!

Jack
Jack is an 8-year-old American Pit Bull Terrier in Tucson, AZ, who needs $1,850 for a blood panel, X-rays, and surgical cyst removal.
Tucson, AZ
I am married with two kids. We had another dog also when Jack came into our lives. Jack was a homeless puppy that wandered on to our friend's front porch one day. Our friend couldn't keep him and posted on Facebook if anyone could give him a home. I messaged our friend right away. Jack was 4 months old when he became part of our family. Now he is almost 9 years old. He is a huge part of our family and we all love him so much. He's my big baby who loves to snuggle and give kisses. When my special needs daughter is stressing out or having anxiety, he lays with her to give her love and always helps her. When one of us is sick, he snuggles next to whichever one of us it is, and lays his head on us to let us know it's going to be ok. He takes care of us just as much as we take care of him. He's my fur-son.

Braun
Braun is a 3-year-old Rottweiler Mix in Tempe, AZ, who needs $2,000 for corrective osteotonomy.
Tempe, AZ
I adopted Braun when he was about 6 months old and within a month he began having knee problems. Braun has had 3 surgeries on his left leg and now needs surgery on his right leg. Everything they did on his left leg they will do in one surgery on his right. Braun has never had the chance to just be a puppy and that is all that I want for him. I want to be able to take him for walks, or a ride in the car, and I want him to be able to go run in the backyard and play.
