Tucker

Tucker is a 5 year old Mix-Breed in Altoona, , who needs $2,000 for Addisons Disease, GI Tract Disorder& Hospitalization.

Altoona

Tucker has been a “Momma’s” boy since the day she laid eyes on him. He came from a farm and was severely malnourished and had been part of overbreeding due to the growing amount of people who were looking for golden doodle puppies. He’s grown to be the sweetest and most loving boy ever. Tucker became suddenly lethargic and did not want to walk. He cried loudly in pain. The nearest vet was over an hour away in the middle of the night. They’ve found he has Addisons disease along with a chronic IBS GI tract disorder. It took many tests and diagnostics to begin to stabilize him for proper treatment hospitalized with round the clock care at Metzgars Animal Hospital State College PA. He immediately became attached and bonded to our newest members of the family, one who has autism and is non verbal. He has became very much a support dog emotionally and physically for my nephew. We have seen a significant increase in development over a short period of time. Tucker has been my emotional support for years and continues to do the same for others in our family. He’s truly special. 7 weeks ago we took emergency foster care custody of two children in our family ages 4 and 8. This was unexpected and has been a big adjustment for our family especially financially trying to provide for 2 additional children who had no clothing or shoes upon arrival.

Pugsley

Pugsley is a 8 year old Pug in Altoona, PA, who needs $1,905 for IV Fluids and X-rays.

Altoona, PA

Pugsley was born on Feb 20, 2017. My son, Logan, always wanted a pug however we had two dogs already. When our lab, Shadow, passed away, we decided to check out these pug puppies. We both fell in love with a certain one which is the one we have now. Logan wrote down a few names to choose from and took a vote from his class. Pugsley had the most votes so that's the name we went with. On 7/4/25, we came to find Pugsley had eaten a foreign object in which required emergency vet care. X-rays confirmed this object was still in his stomach. He was admitted overnight to push fluids in hopes the object would pass. As of the morning of 7/5/25, there was no progress. Next option is either an endoscopy or surgery. He is currently in VCA Metzger Animal Hospital -State College PA Pugsley resides with myself, my son and another canine fur baby (Oakley). Pugsley gets a long with all of us. He is loveable and cuddly. He enjoys going for walks, running freely in the yard, plays with toys and loves getting his treats. He is my son's best friend!! I am a single mother of one with one job. Pugsley's situation came up unexpectedly in which I don't have the funds to cover a procedure and/or surgery.

Shrimp

Shrimp is a 3 year old Great Dane in Johnstown , PA, who needs $2,000 for Diagnosis and Treatment.

Johnstown, PA

Shrimp was from a friend at work. Her dog and my black Dane are siblings. That makes shrimp a nephew to my black Dane. My black Dane is Sammy. Sammy and shrimp are best friends. When shrimp is not around Sammy cries. He misses his buddy. Vca merger The vet isn’t sure what’s wrong at this point. They are keeping him overnight and running tests and monitoring him. The costs associated with labs, xray and meds and anesthesia is high. Shrimps favorite buddy is his uncle Sammy. shrimp is the dog who acts like he has ADHD Always on the go, always playing, always on the move. Our family would not be the same without this knucklehead This is an unexpected major expense. I am not prepared for the emergency vet expense about to be put on me. We just had to take him to the emergency vet because he was not himself and was not eating or drinking and was acting funny.

Photo of Sebastian

Sebastian

Sebastian is a 7-year-old Mini Schnauzer in Bellefonte, PA, who needs $2,000 for Chemotherapy for Prostate Cancer.

Bellefonte, PA

For 7 yrs it was just Max & me. Sebastian became part of our family as a rescue. Randomly, I got an email from the shelter in Pittsburgh PA, and felt compelled to respond. He'd been on the streets alone for a month, matted, starving, and terrified. He'd never been socialized, and the shelter deemed him unfit for adoption. An angel foster mom saved his life and helped him find his way to us. Sebastian (aka The Dash, DashDash, &my little menace) is always at my side, some part of him always touching some part of me. An adorable 25lb teddy bear appearance, he can turn on a dime into a doberman. A window warrior, who puts down his own car window, he barks at any one who dares cross his path, even from within a moving car. SnuggleBug & guard dog, he's my person. I love him more everyday. DNA testing done on both my boys show they share >50% of their DNA. Born in different states 7yrs apart, my boys are brothers! Max helps a nervous Dash feel safe & Dash provides a blind Max with a set of eyes to see. Unlike polite Max, my Dash is a bossy guy. He demands treats w/a sassy bark, taunts me at play & when time for meds he stares intently at me until I comply. Lovable lil brat, for sure Sebastian has always had digestive issues. His system wouldn't process food so he'd get impacted, at 3yrs old he had 100s of bladder stones surgically removed, & on his 7th bday he was diagnosed w/a rare form of prostate cancer. Our doctor says our only option is regular chemo to keep the cancer from growing & preserve Dash's quality of life for as long as possible. Chemo costs $800-$1500 per visit, due in full at treatment. While managing Dash's care, I am also paying for my own cancer treatment. Additionally, I am recovering financially from a recent house fire. My boy means everything to me. His care is my top priority.
