Macho

Macho is a 4 month old British Longhair in Ellenton, FL, who needs $620 for Sedation, Emergency Visit, and Radiographs.

Ellenton, FL

My wife and I saved our money for years to be able to afford Macho. We always wanted a British Longhair because it reminded us of the cats we had as kids. As adults though and married with a child we couldn't afford one until the day we could. Macho is our little chubby boy. We call him chooch or our little girl calls him our little ball of fluff. Macho is such a special little family member. We didn't notice at first and the breeder never told us but Macho has swimmers syndrome. It didn't and never will change our immense love for him. We call him our little splayed kitten. That's not the issue though. The issue is he swallowed yarn and we had to take him to the ER. VMC Emergency & Speciality. We received a huge bill and are panicked because the hurricanes took all of our savings. Macho and our little 7 year old are best friends. He watches her do homework and play nintendo and they watch movies together. Macho is very chill when he wants to be but at times he can be a little pain in the butt. He likes to get behind the TV and takes any opportunity to sneak outside. We walk him on a leash and even bring him to grocery shop, yes we're weird haha. He's our family boy. We simply don't have the money to afford this unfortunate incident. The 3 hurricanes literally wiped all our savings away. Fema helped but only a small percentage. Having this finincial burden removed from us would mean so much, it truly would.

Meaty

Meaty is a 10 year old Mix-Breed in Venice, FL, who needs $2,000 for Intestinal Surgery.

Venice, FL

My daughter was given Meaty, she loved to jump around and get really excited when she sees my daughter, she’s very protective but now she is ill and needs surgery immediately to clear a blockage in her intestines. We are having to take her to a specialist to do the surgery. A couple of days ago she became ill very unexpectedly and now needs emergency surgery to fix her intestines. She never gets sick so this is very upsetting to us. Meaty is always fun to watch she loves to go on car rides and just be with the family. She even loves our chicken. She sleeps with my daughter every night and loves to cuddle. My family is on a fixed and the surgery will be 5000-8000. All we want is to be able to bring Meaty home and love her for many many more years. She is very very loved.

Oppy

Oppy is a 4-month-old Poochon in Bradenton, FL, who needs $2,000 for Parvo Treatment.

Bradenton, FL

We recently brought Oppy home and instantly fell in love with him. He is the sweetest boy and deserves a beautiful life. He is a Poochon which is a mix of a Bichon Frise and Poodle. He loves to cuddle and never misses a chance to nap with daddy on the couch. He loves to play with toys and is fascinated by his reflection in the sliding glass door. His love of cuddling and infectious smile is the reason we love this special pup. He has a natural smile that comes when he looks at you. He brightens anyone’s day who comes in to contact with him. Despite having his 3 parvo vaccinations he unfortunately tested positive for Parvo. He has spent the past 24 hours on IVs and antibiotics. They are increasing the antibiotics today and it’s looking like he’ll be in the vet for a few more days. He is being treated at The Veterinary Medical Center. Due to recently moving and still getting situated in a new state, this unexpected vet bill is just creating a financial burden. To have this puppy continue to live his beautiful life would mean more than anything in the world to us. Oppy deserves his opportunity of life.

Lu

Lu is a 7-year-old Kitty in Sarasota, FL, who needs $994 for Rads-Barium Series with Consultation .

Sarasota, FL

While quarantine-camping in the AZ desert on 4/1/20, we watched a man pull his car to the side of the road, open the trunk, and violently dump a cat from a wire trap. Lu was captured, starved, and then abandoned 60 miles from "home". Since then, 4 months of travel on a coast-to-coast veterinary tour has been had, and Lu is now enjoying life with 4 cats and 2 dog brothers in sunny Florida. Lu is a leash-trained cat who ADORES a 2x daily stroll through the neighborhood. Sitting by the door to let Mom know that his gams need stretching is his very favorite thing. More recently, Lu has decided to join us and his 4 cat brothers for bedtime. His preferred spot on the bed is at Mom's feet. Since day one, Lu has been at ease with dogs, but it wasn't until of late that cats were "friends". Animals in need often find us and we refuse to turn a blind eye. With 6 other animals in the household during an income-limiting pandemic, we are in need of compassionate assistance. Lu is fighting the good fight and we will NOT be giving up on him. We are not completely clear as to what Lu's care was prior to 4/1/20, but we do know that it wasn't humane. As such, Lu has been battling upper respiratory afflictions, wheezing, difficultly in depth of breath, anorexia, vomiting, gagging, lethargy, depression, bloating, gulping of air, megaesophagus, acute renal disease, weight loss, heart murmur, dehydration, pancreatitis, and constipation. Lu loves to play Follow the Leader with his mom, walking across fallen trees in the forest. When she stops at the end of the trunk, he will take a seat proudly beside her to survey the land. Lu's favorite time to dine is in the middle of the night and when he eats, he sounds like a famished, but adorable Gremlin.
