Athena is a sweet 4 year old girl. 2 years ago she came into our life. She was our daughter's ex-boyfriends dog. He was going to have her live in his car with him, before he allowed us to take care of her for him. Prior to him, she was found in the crate on the side of a road. She is very active and loves running around the yard. She is happy living with her 2 dog siblings and 2 cat siblings. While outside running, she came back in limping. We took her to our vet and after X-rays it was determined that she had tore her acl on her left leg and determined that her right leg was bad as well. One consultation stated that she needs TPLO surgery and was quoted $5000 a leg. Wilson's veterinary hospital quoted us $3400 a leg, pending evaluation. She is very active and loves to do parkour off of our privacy fence. It was determined that it wasn't the cause of her issues, just exacerbated it. She has her favorite pull toys that she loves to play with. She will cuddle with one her cat sisters and chase and play with the other one We have an adult son with Autism that we are the sole providers for. We also have 2 other rescues dogs that have required extensive treatment that have depleted our credit. We took Athena on because no one else would, and we just need a little help.

Beans came to us at 8 weeks old as the sweetest little baby boy! He was a gift from my husband and a new brother to our other OEB Tater! Unfortunately on the morning of his 1st birthday he woke up with a prolapsed urethra. There has been so much blood and after rushing home from out of state we now have Beans at Wilson’s Vet hospital in Romeo Michigan. Beans is the sweetest boy! He loves cuddles and kisses and always ready to play with his brothers! Beans loves his human siblings too! His favorite toy is a hard red horse ball that he rolls all around the yard! This was a completely unexpected emergency for us while we were out of town for the holiday weekend with family. We just want Beans to feel healthy again and not have massive blood loss from his penis!

Prince is living with me and my boyfriend and we are really struggle trying to pay bills and save up for his Amputation surgery. We already have spent over 1,500 dollars just on multiple check ups, X-rays and getting his splint changed every 2 weeks. Hi, my name is Demetria and my dog's name is Prince Unfortunately, when I was taking Prince on a walk, a stray pit bull came and tried to attack Prince. When the dog came close, I quickly picked up Prince, but the dog continued trying to get to him. As I'm trying to get away, the dog jumped on me and snagged Prince's arm. I took him to the vet after and they said it’s completely broken. Prince is such a loving dog, he will literally lick you all day! He loves to run, play with his toys and cuddle. He’s such a sweetheart and once people play with him they instantly fall in love! He is literally my fur baby that I call my son son! The doctor told us the only way for Prince to be comfortable is to get his arm amputated. Hearing that broke my heart but I just want him to get back to his playing, loving self! It would mean the world to me if I even get just a lil help! Anything helps

Ino came into our life at the most perfect time, she needed us and we needed her. I was at the time pregnant with my son, and i was at work im a dog groomer and one of my coworkers at the time had brought her in and she was hanging out in the cage and the whole time i kept coming back to her. From that day she became ours. Ino was limping on her leg for some time, i thought it was her foot and she sprained it from running but after taking her to our vet we found out she needed TPLO surgery from tearing her ligament. We took her to parkway exotic and they gave us a few places to possibly have the surgery, we were unsure of which due to cost. Most likely wilson’s in romeo would be where we would take her. Ino truly is one of a kind. She’s the sweetest girl, she’s our protecter. The bond we share with her is unlike any other. She’s the greatest cuddler and lover. She loves playing with other dogs when she gets the chance to, our cats still are unsure with her because sometimes she can get a bit spunky with them. As much as i hate to admit it, im drowning in medical bills, regular household bills, basic needs for us as a family, and food. Todays prices are insane, but I feel so guilty knowing she’s in pain. We don’t want her suffering anymore.

Binx was a rescue and came to our home with his sister, Luna in 2022. He loves watching birds, playing with toys, and fresh spring air. He enjoys harassing his sister and watching string and lizards on the tv. February of 2025, Binx became blocked and needed immediate intervention. We proceeded with an unblocking, and he came home 6 days later. Since he's been home he's only been able to urinate often and only in drops. Recently he's been in more discomfort when urinating. A vet visit on 3/17 concluded he may be reblocking and needs the PU surgery which we cannot possibly afford. Binx isn't overly emotional, but he's very playful. He plays peekaboo and with pipe cleaners. The emotional comes when it's calm down time at night. He will pick a human and lay on their chest and sleep. His favorite human is usually the one with the soft blankie for biscuits! Economy hasn't been kind to allow for having an emergency fund. My step kids father passed away this morning after complications with a cardiac event. We paid out of pocket on credit for the unlocking of $2500, and $300 for recent vet check ups.

This spunky, active little lady is Lila. She is 7 months old and my sons only "in home" companion since starting his journey as a young adult. Lila was in her crate when 1 of her back legs got stuck and while trying to twist and turn to get her leg out it broke above her foot Now her leg is contracted from the tension of her Achilles. Splinting will not work due to the tension so surgery is the only option. Skylar is my son and Lila is his only main squeeze. She is the light of his home and what keeps him from being lonely especially when she gets the zoomies making him smile and laugh! Any help for them would be greatly appreciated! Skylar is just starting to adult. He lives off of mac n cheese just to make sure Lila gets what she needs. He is a great pet daddy and loves Lila but can not afford the 2600-3500 it will take to get Lila back to her 100% but also can't lose her companionship.

Teddy was one of 6 puppies from a litter that my parent's dogs had unexpectedly, (and accidentally). Because I was so involved with the process in helping the puppies from birth through finding their forever homes, I decided to keep one for my own. I named him Teddy because he looked like a real stuffed Teddy bear! Teddy continues to live with me at my parents house and while we house-hunt. On Friday, October 25th I was walking Teddy and my parents dog, Duke and in an attempt to unravel their leashes so I had a better grip, Teddy got lose, and was hit by a car. Teddy was immediately rushed to the vet, where he had X-rays and various tests, which concluded that Teddy broke his femur on his back right leg. Teddy has a surgery scheduled on 10/29/24 at Animal Surgical Center of Michigan. Teddy is a sweet lovable little puppy. He loves playing with his parents, Mack and Duke. Teddy is really great at playing fetch, he always brings the toy back to me! Teddy is also very similar to his mom, in regards to the special gift they have to pick up on peoples and emotions and comforts people when they need it most. As one can imagine, this is an expected event. And being told Teddys surgery will cost $5,000, and that amount is due at the time of surgery, has left me feeling absolutely helpless. Because of my limited income and debt that I prioritized, I cannot afford Teddys surgery.

She has 3 human siblings and 4 legged siblings as well that miss her and love her very much. We found that Ruca has parvo the day we had to euthanize our cat, Monkey for Lymphoma. We attempted to treat it at home but she crashed so we had to rush her to the er. She has been there for 2 nights and is slowly getting better. Vet bills have already accumulated to over $4,0000 and I just don't know how I am going to come up with the remaining which could be 2000+ more. Ruca hasn't been with us long but she is so smart and learns so fast. She is brave and loves to play with her toys. Her favorite beds are the ones that are way too big for her. Before Ruca got sick our cat grew gravely I'll. After vet visits and ultrasounds and x-rays it was discovered that she had many tumors on her organs and had lymphoma. We got medicine in hopes to have a few more years with her but we got just over a month instead.

Snoopy has been apart of my life for 6 years. Him and his brother Leo, came into our lives shortly after our losing our 2 previous cats in a horrific accident. In a time where I felt depressed and alone. Snoopy shed a light into my life when he was just 6 weeks old. Hes truly been an amazing Best friend. Snoopy recently had a Perineal urethrostomy, which is a surgical procedure that can help cats with urethral obstruction. I had to rush him to the emergency room because I knew something was wrong with him, he had been lethargic & recently took him to the vet weeks prior, they drew his blood and said everything was normal, but I could feel something was off. Many people share stories about their pet, and why their special. I truly dont believe there are enough words to express why I love snoopy so much. What I can tell you about him is that he knows how to make you smile, he knows how to play fetch, how to cuddle next to you when your feeling anxious. If you wonder what it would be like to have live cartoon cat in your house, Snoopy is your guy. My father recently had an open heart surgery, I have been working 2 jobs to help with finances, bills because it has been difficult for him to physically work. There are many people who are in need of help and all I ask is if any way you can, I would forever be grateful.

This is Greta. Greta is a dilute calico/short hair Abysynnian mix. She lives in an old house with her sister Rosemary, and her Aunt Verna. Greta's mother was hit by a car when she was little. She and Rosemary are bonded together and love each other very much. Greta is a good indoor mouser. She sleeps either with Rosemary, or under the covers with her favorite humans. She purrs constantly. Greta is bonded with the other kitties in the house, including her friend Francis - a tortie siamese. Greta's favorite human is Jane. When Jane comes home from work, Greta greets Jane and meows and purrs. Greta smiles a lot when Jane is around! Greta's voice is scratchy and loud - thankfully - becuse this is how we found her when she was missing - by the sound of her voice. Greta loves playing soccer with BIC pen caps. She loves the crackle of ice cubes in her water bowl. Greta is super sweet and rolls onto her back when sleeping and resting. She often snuggles with her sister Rosemary. They groom each other's ears and faces and take turns playing chase in the dining room. Greta "runs surveillance" on the neighbors, peering out the side window to watch them:) One night at bedtime Greta was missing. We all looked everywhere for her. We turned every room upside down calling out for her before deciding she must have opened the screen door and escaped. For 6 days the neighborhood looked for her. On day 6 we heard a muffled meow and realized in horror Greta was stuck in the basement wall. I broke the wall with a hammer and found her badly injured. Greta has had one surgery already and she needs another one very quickly. After six days and nights trapped in a wall and too injured to call out she has a fever and needs round the clock care. We are trying really hard to save her life. We love her so much and miss her!!!

I got Phoebe just less than two months ago when she was 2 1/2 months old. I had been wanting to get a puppy after my older dog Zoe passed in 2021, but wasn’t rushing it. I have a 7 year old mini Australian shepherd Jaxon and he really seemed like he could use another friend. I brought Phoebe home and he immediately took to her like she was his little baby and has looked out for her since. Phoebe has been a mamas girl since day one and always wants to be by mama. She also really loves her grandma as a close second to mama (haha). And of course her big brother Jaxon who she makes play with her all day long. Phoebe LOVES to play ball and will go fetch about 1,000 times if you’re willing to throw it! Phoebe has a HUGE personality at only 4 months old and is so sassy and so silly. Since we first brought her home the funniest thing that she does is use her big brother as a step stool to get onto the couch. She can be crazy and get the zoomies, but she also is extremely loving and loves affection. Phoebe was perfectly healthy and in great shape until 2/8, the day after puppy vaccines, she unexpectedly had a seizure and was unresponsive. We went to three different hospitals before we found one that could treat her although they aren’t totally sure what has caused it she is getting better. She is currently being hospitalized. We hadn’t set up any sort of pet insurance yet and had no emergency fund to cover such a big expense. We are now having to pay for three different hospital bills because of lack of care/ cost of care. I have been in the process of starting a new job but haven’t started yet.

Fella is the sweetest bestest boy. We adopted him from the Michigan humane society when he was a puppy. We adopted him 9 months after our dog Kenya passed away after 15 beautiful years with her. Della I believe was given to us by God knowing he was exactly what we needed. He loves my young daughter and has the sweetest disposition. Fella loves everyone. He’s a big boy (93 lbs) but is a gentle giant. He gets along literally with all people and all animals. 4 years ago I went through a very hard and unwanted and sudden divorce. It was a very hard painful time for me and my daughter and fella seemed to know the despair we were experiencing, he wouldn’t leave our side and would always lay with us sit with us and be near us. When fella gets really excited or happy he smiles and shows all his teeth. He was 122lbs but over the past year we/he has been working very hard to get healthier and has lost nearly 29 lbs! This dog is extremely special. Every single person who interacts with him falls in love with him due to his sweet nature and loving disposition. He’s truly a gift Last week fella was outside playing in our backyard which is woods as he has for the past 6 years of his life. He came in limping. After seeing it was not getting better we took him to the vet. He needs CCL TPLO surgery on his knee so he can heal and be able to run, play and be a dog again. I am a single mom and went through a painful unwanted divorce. Unfortunately I cannot afford 3,800 for surgery on fellas leg. I understand I am Not the only person experiencing financial difficulties and am appreciative for anything contributed that can help with his surgery
