I found omally one night leaving a gas station. I could hear a terrible cry. Once I located him I spent a couple hours trying to get him but I ultimately didn’t want to scare him into traffic. I ended up catching him the following night. Ironically less than 24 hours after putting down another of my cats that developed cancer. I definitely want him to be cured. But I took him to the vet when he started vomiting,and they charged me 372 just to tell me if I want to know for sure what is going on it would cost 2706.41 when everything was said and done. And only if they didn’t see anything after the imaging that would require surgery.. I am watching this beautiful baby slowly shrink and I can’t help him. I’ve only had him a month, and I wasn’t going to keep him but with my other baby dying. It only took an hour before I changed my mind. He is a firework when he’s not sick. I’ve never had such a goofy kitten. I feel absolutely horrible that I can’t help him, he doesn’t deserve any of this. Over the last week his personality is gone, he’s losing lbs. and I am unable to make him feel better I am currently on ssdi. Having the issues with the cat I had to put down cost me close to 1300. Even with what I get per month I’ll be paying for that for the next couple years.. And that’s only because my sister was able to help me out

Cardi came into my life two years ago. I rescued her from an animal shelter but truth be told, she rescued me. My previous cat had been with me 18 years before crossing the rainbow bridge. I truly believe that he sent Cardi to me. She has been the sweetest cat and quickly adapted to my cat centric apartment. She takes full advantage of cat towers, beds, blankets and her window perch. Lately Cardi has been experiencing dehydration along with her chronic constipation. She has stopped drinking water and I have to add water to her wet food. It’s not enough. Her ears have become less pink as well as her gums. She is rapidly approaching crisis mode. She has an appointment for an abdominal ultrasound, an internal medicine consult and further diagnostics at Blue Pearl. Cardi is obsessed with me. She brings me her favorite catnip fish and leaves them on the bed while I’m asleep. She loves food and takes treats from my hand. She loves watching the birds through the window and on YouTube. She flops down and shows me belly constantly. She loves me as much as I love her. Cardi is my world and makes me smile every day. Cardi needs a lot of testing done at Blue Pearl. I’m on disability and can’t afford her life saving care. It kills me every day. I can’t lose my best friend over money.

Meet Hamilton. He arrived at Flying Pigs Sanctuary as a temporary boarder when his family had to relocate overseas for work. But when he got to the sanctuary, it was clear he needed more than a place to stay. Hamilton was morbidly obese, his hooves were painfully overgrown, and he could barely walk. On top of the physical toll, he was carrying something just as heavy—loneliness from missing the family he loved. With patience, proper care, and a whole lot of love, Hamilton’s life has begun to change. Today, he’s known as the king of belly rubs, happily flopping over the moment he gets attention. His gentle, sweet nature shines through, and he’s become a source of joy to everyone around him. So far, Hamilton has lost 35 pounds —with another 35 still to go—and once he reaches his goal weight, he’ll head to UT for a full health evaluation. But transformations like Hamilton’s don’t happen without ongoing care, time, and resources. We’re asking for your help to continue his journey. My cat’s name is Pirate. He is a male cat and lives with me and his biological brother. Pirate and his brother have always been together since birth and are very bonded. Pirate is a sweet and loving cat with a calm personality. He has always been curious, affectionate, and playful. Pirate is an indoor cat and lives in a safe, clean home. Pirate has hypothyroidism, and his condition has worsened. He’s lost a significant amount of weight and urgently needs daily medication and monitoring. Lemu was a bday gift from my parents on April 18th when he was 8 days old named after the emu (Limu) in the liberty mutual insurance commercial there are 6 laying chickens (hens only) that are 1 year old and 1 male guinea fowl that is less than a year old that are at the home Lemu has a slipped tendon in the right hock joint that needs surgery in order for him to survive after many many calls to veterinarians I'd finally found one that would see him and informed me that without surgery they'd recommend euthanizing him (which I cannot do) and his only chance at living a full quality life is to have the surgery Lemu has hardly ever not been right by my side since the day we met even goes shopping with me goes for drives and play dates to my parents even stayed at a hotel with me once because when I dropped him off at the babysitter I was sure he was gonna hurt himself trying to get out to find me he's been my companion, best friend and a very very loving part of my family My husband is still recovering from a fractured skull, broken nose, broken shoulder, a few fingers & 4 lacerations to face/forehead that exposed bone from a boat propeller strike, lucky to be alive, on the way to his appointment vehicle broke down still trying to get fixed

I adopted Apollo in 2020 after he bounced around t multiple foster and “forever” homes. He has been an amazing support to me over the years. I struggle with my health and several painful conditions and he is always right there to snuggle or pur next to me to tell me everything is going to be okay. He has been my lifeline in more way then one and I can’t imagine a life without him. Apollo was diagnosed with six bladder stones that were creating a blockage that was extremely painful for him and made him unable to urinate. We went to our primary vet first and they placed a catheter under anesthesia then removed it once they were able to clear the obstruction. He did reconstruct almost immediately and we were advised to seek emergency care and told he needed surgery. Apollo loves to go on walks with his owner when the weather is nice. He often times sits in his backpack taking in the views, but will occasionally venture out and explore his surroundings. He is a huge cuddle bug once he gets to know you. He enjoys ear and booty scratches the most. And if you have a treat he will be your best friend. Over the past year I’ve had a lot of health issues which has caused overnight hospital stays, two surgeries, and multiple emergency room visits. These health issues have caused me to miss work and receive no or half pay which has hindered me from starting an emergency fund.

When Shona was rescued by Baw Baw Animal Welfare, she was fighting for her life. This local stray girl had been hit by a vehicle and left with devastating injuries. She struggled to breathe, had severe wounds to both of her back legs, and had already lost part of one foot. On top of her traumatic injuries, Shona was suffering from parasites, painful skin problems, and signs that her body was battling a serious infection. Shona was immediately given the one thing she really needed: a chance. Her veterinary team acted immediately, providing emergency treatment, medication, fluids, and around-the-clock care to stabilize her. She continues to need intensive treatment and careful monitoring as they work to control her infections, help her wounds heal, and give her the best possible chance at recovery. The cost of saving a dog with injuries this severe adds up quickly, and Baw Baw Animal Welfare cannot do it alone. Tilly is my heart and soul, a sweet, resilient 5-year-old mixed-breed girl I rescued from a shelter in SC. Her litter was heartbreakingly abandoned in a box on the side of the road, left to fend for themselves until the shelter owner found them. From the moment I brought her home, she’s been my constant companion, full of love, joy, and those silly moments that get me through tough days Tilly desperately needs TPLO surgery on her back left leg for a torn CCL. Surgery is scheduled for July 10th. Without it, she will gradually lose the use of that leg entirely, and it often leads to the same problem in the other leg, which could leave her completely unable to walk. As someone who knows what it’s like to live with pain and mobility challenges, I can’t bear to watch her suffer. Tilly is the biggest sweetheart. A sweet, loving, calm, and friendly five-year-old mixed breed rescue. She’s wonderful with people of all ages, including children, and gets along beautiful with other dogs. Her gentle, affectionate nature, lights up every day and make sure the perfect companion through life’s ups and downs. I’ve been dealing with serious injuries from a work accident that left me partially disabled. I can no longer do my trained job & am searching for new work while struggling to make ends meet. Tilly’s surgery has hit at the worst financial time, but I refuse to let her down.
