Max

MAX is a 8 year old American Shorthair in Hawtorne, CA, who needs $2,000 for Dental Oral Surgery.

Hawtorne, CA

MAX came from the cat distribution system. He walked into my life straight up to my front door. He was so cute and small I fell in instantly fed him at 7:00am and panic when I got home from work because there no sight of him. To my disbelief 7:00pm 12 hours later there he was I fed him brought him in bathed him took him to the vet the next day Boom We were FAMILY. MAX found me when he was 3 months old. He is now 8 years and is having dental issues. From my research this happens quite often in the cat world. Max had been diagnosed with gingivitis and is in need of some teeth pulled..possibly all of them. I've been hesitant nervous about having his teeth pulled first because eating is one Max's favorite things to do but VETCO said ASAP. I was terrified. Max is a healer. He is definitely the most affection loving magical pet anyone would be lucky to have him in their life. He is large and in charge and protective over me. Loves to sit on heart chakra and send love and healing vibration as he purrs. Supports me when I'm down and loves me no matter what. His Unconditional love keeps me sane. He is good for my mental health and I'm so grateful. I was hurt at work and I am in the process of retraining for a new career at a point in life where I never thought I'd be. Max is in pain (tooth aches suck). Looking for new work and needing to be able to focus and not worry Max must have this surgery to live PAIN FREE.

Sheba

Please help give Sheba a second chance.

Oakland, NJ • Ramapo Bergen Animal Refuge

Baby Sheba couldn’t eat. She couldn’t heal. She needed rescue. Seven-month-old Sheba was suffering from a severe rectal prolapse for at least a week before help was sought. The only care given was to “clean her at home” while this sweet puppy stopped eating and continued to decline. By the time Sheba reached us, she needed emergency surgery to save her life. Doctors initially attempted to replace the prolapse and place a purse-string suture, but became concerned that something more serious was happening internally. During exploratory surgery, they discovered necrotic tissue in her colon that had to be removed immediately. To spare Sheba future surgeries, she was spayed, and her painful cherry eye was corrected. We are so grateful Sheba made it to rescue in time, but her medical care has been extensive, and she will continue to need close monitoring and follow-up care during recovery. Please help us give Sheba the second chance she deserves Sheba has already endured more pain than any puppy ever should. But today she is finally safe. She is finally being cared for. And for the first time in a long time, this baby has a chance to heal – with you by her side. 6/10/26 Update Sheba is slowly recovering but is still going to the bathroom more frequently than she should. She is receiving the best care possible right now. 8/3/26 Update After the extensive surgery she needed to remove damaged colon tissue following her rectal prolapse, healing is going to be a gradual process. The good news is that she is happy, playful, eating well, and enjoying all the love she's missed. But, healing takes time. The biggest focus is helping Sheba’s digestive system recover. She still has very frequent bowel movements and some straining related to the healing process, so we're continuing to work closely with her veterinary team to give her body the time it needs. We don’t yet know yet what her long-term needs will be. For now, Sheba is exactly where she needs to be - with a loving foster family, excellent veterinary care, and so many people (YOU!) cheering her on.

Found Broken and Hiding, Piper Needs Your Help to Heal

Lauderhill, FL • Saving Sage Animal Rescue Foundation, Inc.

When rescuers with Saving Sage Animal Rescue Foundation spotted Piper near a drainage pipe outside the shelter, they knew something was terribly wrong. The frightened cat was hiding in pain, trying to survive on his own. As they carefully approached him, the extent of his suffering became heartbreakingly clear. Piper has a broken leg, painful open wounds, and severe infections in both ears. He is also experiencing concerning issues with his eyes that require veterinary evaluation and treatment. No animal should have to endure this level of pain alone, yet Piper has been doing exactly that. Despite everything he has been through, Piper has shown incredible resilience. Now safely in the care of Saving Sage Animal Rescue Foundation, he finally has a chance to receive the medical attention he desperately needs. Piper's road to recovery will not be easy. His broken leg requires treatment, his infections must be addressed, and veterinarians need to determine the cause of his eye problems so he can begin healing. The cost of this care adds up quickly, placing a significant burden on the rescue that stepped in to save him. That's where you can help. Your donation will directly support Piper's veterinary care and give him the opportunity to recover from the injuries and neglect he has endured. Every dollar brings him one step closer to a life free from pain—a life where he never has to hide in fear again. If you're unable to donate, sharing Piper's story can make a tremendous difference. Together, we can help ensure this sweet dog gets the second chance he deserves. Please donate today and help Saving Sage Animal Rescue Foundation provide Piper with the care, comfort, and hope he needs to heal.
