Thor joined our family when he was 8 weeks old. He quickly wormed his way into our older dog’s heart and has always kept him happy. When my husband passed unexpectedly almost 4 years ago, Thor was the one that helped me make it through my horrible grief. He is highly empathetic and would come to comfort me whenever I needed it, getting to me before I even knew I needed him. Thor was diagnosed this week with a perineal hernia which requires surgery. It has already trapped his colon which makes it extremely painful for him to go to the bathroom. We have been told by North GA Veterinary Surgery that it will cost around $4600 to do the surgery. Without it, he will have a bad quality of life. We just aren’t ready to say goodbye but can’t really afford it. Thor is a loving and loyal friend. He loves to cuddle up with his brother, Loki. He has never met a stranger. He loves kids and everyone in the neighborhood knows his name and loves him. He is 12 years old but you would never know it because he’s so spunky. This is an unexpected expense and we have no savings as my son and I had to have dental surgeries recently. With the fairly recent loss of my husband, I don’t think I can do it again with Thor.

So, I got Acey when I was 20 years old, and he's been in my life for these past 8 years. And he's been an absolute joy, and he's helped me through so much, and been there for me, and moved in every new apartment with me, and really, truly grew up with me through my adulthood. I have two other cats in the household, and they love him so much. He is their big brother! So, his current situation is that, we noticed that he hasn't been urinating completely. It was starting as a small stream and then slowly became just a drip. And upon taking him to the vet, they said that he would need to undergo some surgeries and potential x-rays to figure out what's really wrong with him. Bluepearl pet hospital gave us antibiotics and pain medicine to help ease his discomfort. Acey is special in so many ways. He has so much character, he's so independent, but also the biggest baby you'll ever meet. He does this thing where he'll bark at you, but that's only because he wants to come off as defensive. Soon as he lets his guard down, he wants to be all up in your lap. We like to warn our friends and family when they come over that he likes to make out. I just started a new job that will help me be in a better financial situation, but I have no emergency funds saved up, and this was very unexpected, and on top of everything else, this clearly was not in the cards, and I just would love for him to be back to his self again.

Rose A24-047 is a 1 year old Mix-Breed in Griffin, GA, who needs $1,212 for Heartworm Treatment.

Rose was a stray that came in with four puppies. Only one of her puppies survived. They were inbred, and she protected her babies and fed them as best as she could. Rose was set be fixed by Fix-A-Pet in April with several other dogs, but her heartworm test came back positive. Not only did it come back positive, but she was also a level 3 case alongside having a heart murmur. She went to Barnesville Animal Clinic for a second opinion, and they confirmed her heartworms and murmur. Rose is a sweet girl who will run and jump despite her condition. She loves to sit on your feet while you give her belly rubs. Despite being a stray, she is house broken, and leash trained. As a shelter, we are not a for-profit organization. We are a no kill shelter, and we want to provide the utmost care for all of the animals here. That includes making sure Rose's $1200 treatment is covered before she leaves to be with a family.

Drift

Drift is a 2 year old Labrador Husky in Tulsa, OK, who needs $2,000 for Left Hind Leg Amputation.

Hey everyone! Well, the time has come for the next step in Drift's medical journey. Her condition has worsened and she now needs a left hind leg amputation. I have done everything I can to prepare for this moment --including switching jobs for more income. However, we are not financially prepared for this step to happen so soon. If you can help, then thank you. Prayers are also accepted. Drift's lump has massively increased in size. I have had multiple vet opinions. We have x-rays telling a partial story. Someone shot Drift with a pellet gun. There are two pellets in her body. The vet theory is that one of the pellets grazed a vein and caused a hematoma and that it may have opened back up which is causing more blood to accumulate under the skin. Immediate amputation needed. Drift reminds me of why I became a dog trainer. She pushes every boundary while loving our family completely. She is a stubborn husky soul that will trot just out of reach if she gets offleash. "Here" is our most practiced command. Drift loves to train and is extremely smart. She is an amazing fifth addition to our home. She even tolerates our two 4-year-olds. Time was not on our side. The vet estimates $1100 or more for this highly complicated surgery alone. Hope and Healing for Panther

ELBURN, IL • Blind Dog Rescue Alliance

She was adopted into a loving home. Now Panther needs her rescue family once again. When Blind Dog Rescue Alliance first rescued Panther, they hoped her difficult days were behind her. She was adopted by a family that loved her deeply, but sometimes love alone isn't enough to overcome overwhelming medical costs. As Panther's health became more complicated, her family made the heartbreaking decision to return her to BDRA when they could no longer afford the care she desperately needed. It was an act of love, ensuring Panther would have access to the treatment she couldn't receive at home. Panther has already been living with dry eye, cataracts, and glaucoma. Now she's facing another painful challenge: chronic ear infections that have progressed into abscesses. To relieve her pain and stop the infection from spreading, Panther urgently needs a Total Ear Canal Ablation (TECA). During surgery, her entire left ear canal will be removed. Because her left eye has also become severely affected, it will need to be removed as well to give her the best chance at a comfortable, pain free future. Unfortunately, Panther's journey may not end there. After she recovers, she'll see a veterinary dermatologist to determine whether her right ear can be saved. If not, she may need a second TECA surgery. Through every setback, BDRA has remained committed to Panther. They welcomed her back without hesitation and are determined to give her the medical care she deserves. But these specialized surgeries and ongoing treatments come at a significant cost. Your donation will help cover Panther's surgery, follow up care, and the specialized treatment she needs to finally live free from the constant pain of chronic infections. Every gift, no matter the size, helps give Panther the comfort, healing, and second chance she deserves. 8/12/26 Update Panther has reached an important step in her journey toward a life free from pain. After undergoing a CT scan, she had surgery on her left eye and left ear. Her surgical team performed a left ear TECA to remove the chronically infected ear canal, along with the removal of her painfully affected left eye. These procedures are an important step toward giving Panther the comfort and relief she desperately needs. This is only the first stage of her treatment. Once Panther has completely healed, she will need to return for surgery on her right ear. Panther still has a long road ahead, but each procedure brings her closer to a life without the constant pain she has endured. Blind Dog Rescue Alliance remains by her side through every step, committed to giving her the care she needs. I have had Teddy almost 3 years now. I am a student at Fairmont State and he lives with me and my boyfriend in our apartment in Fairmont WV. He is always there for me and with me, whether at home or just out and about. We had an instant bond and are inseparable. Teddy is at the Cheat Lake Animal Hospital in Morgantown, WV and my baby is in critical condition. The other evening he had chewed through a diaper and by the next morning he was in bad condition and had to be rushed to the vet. His liver is failing due to toxins and we need to give plasma to try and help him pull through so his liver can continue to function. Teddy is my rock and a case of love at first sight. Teddy is friendly to everyone, but when I walk into the room, even the very first time I met him, I am the only one that exists. He really adores me to death. He is always there for me and I really don't know what I would do without my little boy. He always cheers me up, keeps me going and watches out for me. I am a student, on my own supporting myself while going through college. I serve in the National Guard and work as a waitress. But, money is tight and I don't have the funds to help my little darling boy. Any help you can give, I would be eternally grateful.

I saw Yuri on the website of a shelter in Manhattan. I knew right away I had to meet him. We took the two hour drive to the shelter and it was love at first sight. We had found the dog we were looking for. That was 7 years ago and he's been part of our family since. Yuri moved from New York to Texas and then to Florida with us. He was there when we brought our daughter home. They love each other. Yuri had just recovered from a broken right back leg after a car hit him. We were at the park and he was very excited to run around. Suddenly he started limping on his left back leg. It wasn't getting any better, so we took him to the vet. That's when we got the diagnosis 'cranial cruciate ligament rupture'. No doubt he needs surgery. Dr. Choi with Paws to Health will be performing the surgery. Yuri loves children. Every time he sees or hears kids his tail starts wagging and he gets excited. He is very gentle and loves to cuddle. Yuri is picky when it comes to four legged friends. Either he loves them or not at all. He gets excited about squeaky toys, enjoys taking a swim and gets a kick out of snow. He loves to hang out with his grandparents cause they have the best treats. We went through our emergency funds in April of 2024 because Yuri got hit by a car and needed surgery in order to keep his leg. We had just moved into a rental. The cost of living in Florida is very hight and we are barely making ends meet. Yuris well being means everything.

Meet Sassy and Primo. Sadly, they and their dad lost their home, and they had no place to go. Pioneers for Animal Welfare Society, Inc stepped in at the last minute as they were headed to the local municipal shelter. They are currently in boarding but cannot remain there much longer. Sassy is a 10yr old female bulldog/pug mix, weighing about 35lbs. She has the cutest little strut! Sassy has a large mass that requires removal (see picture) cystotomy, canine spay with cystotomy and mass/tumor removal. She also has kidney stones which are causing her constant UTI's. She is scheduled for surgery at Long Island Spay and Neuter this week. PAWS is in desperate need of funds to cover Sassy's surgery. The estimate for the surgery is $2300.00 Sassy and her best friend Primo found themselves in boarding when their dad got divorced, was forced to leave the home and no one in the family would take them in. They are safe and together but scared and confused. Sassy is good with other pets and children. She is a spunky girl for her age and a real cuddle bug. We are a rescue that does not have a brick and mortar facility We are foster based and will assist in special cases; help seniors keep their pets but helping with medical expenses, transport to appointments, dog walking, cat care etc.
