We discovered Max living under our vehicle a few days ago. He was covered in black soot and fleas, screaming so much that he was hoarse. He had been in the 90 degree heat for days before we noticed him. We immediately gave him water and food. He instantly came running when he saw us, but his eyes were almost swelled shut from the heat and soot! We have only had him for 3 days. We haven't taken him to the vet yet due to limited funds. Max is in need of routine shots, and possible infection treatments. Max is so lovable. All he wanted was someone to pet and hold him. At first, he wouldn't even eat or drink anything. He just wanted to be loved. Now, he is the lovable baby that my husband and I needed in our lives. My husband and I are recently disabled due to health issues. He has 2 major heart operations and I have battled cancer and other disabilities due to the treatments. Max is a little thing with a lot of love to give that my husband and I both need.

Brownie

Brownie is a 12 year old Chihuahua in Romeoville, IL, who needs $1,000 for Dental Procedure.

Brownie basically came included with the house we purchased. The previous owners asked if we can keep him and we did. He currently lives with my partner and I, and our other dog lucky. He is almost 13 years old. He is a mixed dog, chihuahua and daschund. Brownie currently needs an intensive dental procedure, extractions and cleaning. He has a lot of teeth that need to be removed to ease his pain. One of his teeth unfortunately started protruding out, causing him to drool a lot, and not be able to eat his food properly. His procedure will be at Bethany Animal Hospital in Dekalb, IL. Brownie is such an amazing dog. He is so quirky in his own way. Loves to chase squirrels. At his old age, he is such a fast runner. Brownie loves cuddling, warm blankets, and of course soft treats. He has been with us for so long, and we want to be able to keep him comfortable as long as possible. My partner and I are both 20. We have minimum wage jobs, and have been working hard to save up as much as we can to pay for Brownie’s procedure. I recently lost the place i stayed at, and moved in with my partner’s family causing instability in my life.

Miles, along with his brothers and sisters, endured a difficult start to life, having been tragically discarded in Indiana. Thankfully, a compassionate organization, Save All Dogs Rescue, discovered them and brought them safely to Connecticut. It was there that I first met Miles, a sweet pup whom I immediately welcomed into my home. Miles's medical situation is severe: he was diagnosed with Aspiration Pneumonia shortly after coming home and required immediate hospitalization. He is currently being treated at Angell Animal Hospital in Jamaica Plain. His medical bills have already exceeded $5,000, with an additional $2,000 to $3,000 needed for his recovery. Miles is special and full of joy, bringing lots of laughs. He loves to snuggle and get pats from people. He likes chewing his toys (even phone chargers!). His fun ways and wagging tail make him unique. He plays with everyone, making our days brighter. He's a lovable mess, and we adore him. Our urgent need is for Miles's Aspiration Pneumonia treatment at Angell Animal Hospital; bills exceed $5,000, with $2-3K more needed. His health means restoring our home's joy. Xyla

Xyla is a 14 year old Mix-Breed in Eau Claire, , who needs $1,000 for Chemotherapy.

Xyla was adopted from a rescue nearly 14 years ago, when she was a puppy and I was a teenager. She has been with me for nearly half of my life, and longer than I have ever known another animal. A couple of months ago, Xyla had a sudden swelling and bruising on her abdomen. On taking her to the vet, they immediately suspected cancer. She had a biopsy and mass removal and the mass was found to be a high grade Mast Cell tumor. She was referred to the Animal Emergency & Referral Center of Minnesota, where further diagnostics found cancer in multiple lymph nodes, so she will be starting chemo Even at 14, Xyla still loves her daily walks and occasional swimming (though only for seconds at a time.) Food is one of her favorite things, but she is a rather picky eater, especially when it comes to treats. She has 5 rescue cat siblings and has been foster sibling to over 70 cats and kittens. She is patient with even the tiniest kittens, teaching them to be comfortable with dogs. The past year has been difficult with vet bills. Two of my cats have special needs and need daily medication. One has yearly echos and another had diagnostic work and treatment for 2 UTIS in the past year. Another has an upcoming dental and treatments for severe feline acne.

A friend contacted me about a woman who, recovering from surgery, needed to find a new home for her dog, Marley. After sharing this with others, & giving it much thought, my family decided to meet him. We welcomed him into our home that day, he has not been with us long but is a charished member of our family, bringing joy and love to everyone. He is the heart of our family, which includes 3 kids He initially experienced sneezing and was treated for allergies. His nasal discharge prompted the start of antibiotics. He now has a nasal lump, and his breathing is difficult. 3 vets have recommended a rhinoscopy/CT scan. After contacting over 30 clinics, I've located only four that offer this specialized care. The cost is $3000-$5000 Marley generously shares his affection with everyone he encounters, including adults with disabilities and senior citizens. My son, who was once afraid of dogs, is now Marley's best friend. My two daughters adore him and eagerly anticipate playing with and feeding him each day. I cannot imagine life without him. He gently rests his head on people's shoulders and brings joy to everyone he meets. I work part-time and have scleroderma. Due to my disability and the responsibilities of raising three children, my financial resources are limited. I am unable to afford the full cost of the procedure, which I feel is unfair to Marley. I have been seeking ways to assist him

Baby

Baby is a 6 month old Mix-Breed in Havre De Grace, MD, who needs $2,000 for Urinary Blockage Surgery.

Baby was born from a feral mom. He and his siblings were eventually trapped after a few months. Momma cat kept avoiding the trap, but eventually we were able to get her too. We found homes for some, but Baby and two siblings, and Momma cat remain with us. We also have his “kitty niece” who just adores him and never leaves his side. He is such a sweet, cuddly and vocal guy and loves to be held. Baby is always vocal, but I noticed him express a different sound, and crying. I also noticed that he was crouching and trying to urinate. I assumed he was blocked, as we just recently went through this with our George. I went directly to Jarrettsville Vet who were so kind and took Baby in as an emergency. Dr. Ahrens was so compassionate and willing to work him into their busy schedule today. Baby is a very passionate, vocal, big boy, and so affectionate. He loves to be held on our arm, with his legs stretched out on each side. His niece is always by his side, and “Uncle Baby” takes good care of her. He’s grown to love our dogs too, and has been snuggling with our German Shepherd recently. He enjoys watching the birds from our bay window, and napping on the cat tree. My husband has had medical problems; medical bills are climbing. It’s been a struggle for sure, and we have not been able to put a plan in place for medical emergencies for our 4 legged family members. Baby is such a big part of our family. We are so grateful for any help.

I adopted Pikachu from a friend because her toddler is allergic to dogs. From the first day I fell in love with Pika (her nickname). At first when she came to me she seemed scared, but it didn’t take long for her to feel comfortable and be part of the family. Pika needs surgery, she has a lump in one of her ears, and also gingivitis and will need to have some teeth extracted, they won’t know how bad the gingivitis is until they do the X-rays. The name of the vet clinic is Vets in Vans, the name of the doctor is Tracy Huang. Pika has a sweet disposition, she gets along with my other dog Toby, that I’ve had for eight years. She’s very friendly with people, and gets along with my roommate. She sleeps in her bed in my bedroom; she loves the outdoors, so I take her on daily walks and to the park at least once a week. I love Pika very much and she is very attached to me. She’s my devoted constant shadow. I am a retired senior, and live off my social security benefits. This is an unexpected expense that would put me on a financial strain. It would mean a lot to have Pika healthy again so that we can enjoy many years together. She is my companion and she means a lot to me.

Sadie is a 6 year old Labrador Retriever in St Petersburg , FL, who needs $2,000 for Septic Abdomen Exploratory Laparotomy.

Sadie is a six-year-old black labrador who was raised by another family. She was used for breeding multiple litters. After her spaying on May 7, 2025, Sadie was adopted by my parents. She came home with them on May 10. We had her for 4 days before having to take her in for life saving surgery due to sepsis after being spade. The infection in Sadie's body cavity was going to take her life by that night if we did not seek help immediately. Thankfully, the sepsis has not spread to her organs. She is still considered high risk and will be in a critical care facility for an undetermined amount of time; from a few weeks to whenever she is 100% ready to come home. Mom has had 7 vascular surgeries between Jan. 30, 2020-August 2022. Just like Mom's deceased black lab, Bella, Sadie is very alert in recognizing Mom's sensitive health condition. Because of this, Sadie is to be trained as a Medical Assistant Dog, to enhance her senses in changes in body chemistry, anticipate medical emergencies, and alert my parents to any potential life-threatening situations. Surgery and extended care estimate is up to $20,000. The surgery itself was over $11,000 with a military discount. If you can contribute to help fray the cost of Sadie’s surgery & recovery, it will be greatly appreciated. Saving Sadie's life could mean saving my Mom's life.

We found Bud on a small farm in South Georgia, and the moment I saw his sweet little face, I knew he was the one. Still, we kept an open mind because we wanted to make sure we chose the right dog for our family. Since we had plans to start a family, it was important to find a dog who would fit with our lifestyle and grow with us. But when we met Bud in person, all doubt disappeared. Out of all the pups, he came straight to us first, like he already knew he belonged. Right now, we’re facing an emergency. Bud has a blockage in his GI tract and is currently being treated at the Veterinary Emergency Group in Brookhaven. Bud and our daughter are inseparable. She’s not even two yet, but the bond between them is undeniable. Every time she eats, she tries to share her food with him. He’s incredibly well-trained, but she’s still learning that some things, like toys and food, can’t always be shared, no matter how much she loves him. This has come at the worst possible time. My wife and I have been doing everything we can to catch up financially since having our daughter, especially with the impact of the writers strike. We were finally getting back on our feet, and now this emergency has hit us unexpectedly.
