This is Sunny Mittens. We rescued Sunny in November during Covid. He quickly acclimated to our family, allowing the girls, and dogs to play with him, and snuggle as needed. He has the run of the house, loves to sit in front of the windows that overlooks the meadow and marsh behind our house. He loves the fresh air tries to head out doors, but we have taught him no way He loves to bring us mice Two days ago, we noticed that Sunny was not his usual self. We got him into the ER, where it was determined he was very sick. The vet and her staff have done everything they could to help Sunny, but he is not yet out of the woods. Sunny has such a sweet disposition, allows the girls to pick him up, and carry him off to play. He will play ambush with them, chases and fetches balls, and when worn out will simply find a lap and snuggle in. He loves to butt heads, rub cheeks and will wait patiently for someone to notice he needs food. He loves to play with a mouse. Sunny has been a joy for all of us. The past year has been hard, losing my sister, putting down one dog, and my fixed income not adjusting to the high cost of utilities and food. The house has depleted the emergency fund, and this setback is breaking that final straw Prayers andfunds are needed for our Sunny

Ganon is our void nugget rescue that we adopted as a kitten back in January 2019. He is my husband's shadow. He is an amazing ESA. He knows when someone is upset or something is wrong & will do pretty much anything in his power to make you smile. Ganon was diagnosed today at Vital Animal Veterinary Clinic with diabetes. The med he was put on is called senvelgo. Its an oral medication that works with his body and the insulin he already creates to make it work better. Ganon loves to meow at you to make you smile. He definitely is a "velcro cat". He loves any of the foster kitties that come through our house. He shows them around the house, making sure they know the best spots. He teaches them how to be a cat and even lets them win when they play fight. Due to increased medical expenses from having chronic ilnesses and expensive prescriptions our financial situation has changed. Diabetes is a life long ilness and we want our shadow to live as long as possible to be with us.

Ellie Mae was adopted when she was 9 weeks old. To say that she chose us is an understatement. She immediately bonded with her human daddy and her kitty brother. All she has to hear is “what a pretty girl” and the wiggle Butt is activated. She has a gentle soul and everyone that she meets fall in love with her. She is her daddy’s heart and soul and the calmness in the store of life Ellie’s vet is East El Paso Animal Hospital. This will be the 3rd surgery within a year for the same issue she keeps getting a “fatty” growth in the same place. She’s had it drained but it keeps coming back. They have to be really aggressive in removing it this time And doing a biopsy and have it sent off to see if it is cancer or not Ellie loves her kitty brother and it’s not unusual to find them curled up, sleeping together. She loves “going to work” with her Aunt who works from home. One staff at a local pet supply business know her by name and always have an extra treat ready for her. At the dog park, she loves taking care of the small dogs to make sure they feel comfortable. She is unconditional love Ellie is my husbands life. This is the 3rd surgery I’m about 12 months. Between the 2 previous surgeries and her mom’s pacemaker surgery in January have totally tapped us out. Her kitty brother would have a hard time coping without her

Jim Bailey, JB for short, came into my life after rescuing him from someone who is expecting soon and could not afford to take care of him or give him the love he deserved. He is 5 months old and has always been a goofy sleepy boy and is an amazing puppy and his broken leg does not stop him. Shortly after I got JB, he jumped from a raised porch and broke his tibia in his back leg. I am hoping to take him to LSU for his surgery so that he can start to heal and be a puppy without limitations. Since having JB I have realized that he is an amazing puppy and a great cuddler. He is very goofy and loves playing with his toys and his older cousin because they are both rambunctious. Since he has broken his leg he has not been as playful as he usually is. Due to his broken leg, he will need surgery to repair it and I have been quoted $4000-$6000. I am currently in college and have my own apartment and I already have 2 jobs to get by. This was very unexpected and I am not able to afford the surgery on my own.

I rescued Kai from a shelter on 8-1-2021. He was about 1 1/2 years old. We had an instant connection at first sight. He was named by my mom and myself. Kai loves other dogs, so I rescued Jolene( 5 yrs old) a few months later. A few months after that I foster failed Leo (1 1/2 yrs). We are one big happy family and my fur babies are thriving. They make my life full and complete. During a routine dental a mass was found onKai's jaw bone near some teeth. The mass came back as Acanthomatous Ameloblastoma. This type of cancer grows in the mouth. The good news is that this cancer does not metastasize. It is very treatable and Kai's prognosis is very good. The treatment plan is to shave the bone for clean margins and pull some teeth. MSU will do the scans and surgery. Kai came into my life during a time when I was struggling in many areas. His gentle loving personality brought me through some tough times and gave me hope. Ia am in a much better place because of him. He is a very special dog. He loves all people and animals. Everybody that meets him is amazed at his sweetness. He loves his sock monkey and is always willing to share it with his brother and sister I'm a vet tech. I love what I do, but the money is not there. I live on my own and in this economy, I live pay check to pay check. To complicate matters, I will be cutting back my work hours to attend nursing school. Kai is my best friend and support system. Please help

Lucy is a rescue I have had her since 2014. I was in a wheelchair, as I am now. She had to get used to walking alongside my wheelchair. We trained her to become my service animal when we lived in Washington. Lucy lives at home with myself and my son Nathaniel- her favorite person. She spends her days with him and once she eats dinner, she opens my door and crawls in bed next to me until morning. I was in the hospital undergoing emergency open heart double bypass surgery; I left Lucy in the care of my son Nathaniel. The day of my surgery, Lucy's eye was so swollen that it was almost closed! Nathan rushed her to a local animal hospital called Dallas Animal Hospital. It was then brought to his attention that she needs oral surgery to remove five teeth;; she was treated for infection & pain Lucy is my heart..she went from a frightened puppy to an amazing service animal. She became attached to me; if I wasn't next to her she would find me as a professional escape artist- she once ate through an RV door and climbed out.. she is the reason I made it through my daughter's death. I always wake up to her beautiful face; she gave me a reason to keep living;she saved me just as I saved her! I am disabled and on a fixed income. I am facing $ hardship due to Medical costs.I had open heart double bypass surgery;at the same time at home Lucy's eye swelled almost shut!After an exam we were told she needed five teeth to be removed via Oral Surgery I need moresurgery

We adopted Pipin from Barcs as a 4 month old puppy as a wedding present to ourselves. He was surrendered to no fault of his own. He was a very skittish and nervous puppy who was unsure of new people. Who was also extremely underweight. But we fell in love with him as he gave us kisses and our one year old son. One day we had gone for a hike due to him having the zoomies. He ended up in pain when we came home and wouldn't let us near him. We ended up needing to get him x-rays and blood work. His blood work came back normal. But the X-rays came back with him needing a FHO surgery due to severe hip dysplasia. It would be at Green Brier with Dr Lauren and a visiting surgeon. He loves eating his snacks, training, going for walks. But most of all loving on his people. Giving wiggles of excitement every time he sees us. Going for light walks meeting other dogs when allowed. He has a bomb proof personality, and was training to be a service dog prior to the diagnosis. He loves his furry roommates that are cats. This was an unexpected sudden expense as we were building a savings back up. We're able to afford his meds to manage the pain, but is the money we would normally be hiding away. It would mean the world to have him healthy as he brings so many smiles, comfort and love.

This is my little Cocobean. She will be 2 years old on April 14th. She came in to my life on June 29th 2022 when I received her as a birthday gift from my son. I fell totally in love with her from the moment I looked at her sweet little face. She is my baby girl, my heart and soul. she is fiesty, full of energy, but most of all, my little snuggle Bug! We recently had with a visit with Galindo Veterinary Surgery and Orthopedics and learned the Coco has dual-hip dysplasia. It is traveling down into her knees and she walks with her hind leg up. With out the surgery she needs, it will affect her other leg and she will not be able to walk. The surgery she requires is a Tibial Plateau Leveling Osteotomy and a Medial Patellar Luxation. Coco lives in a loving home and has a brother, Keegan and a sister, Molly. They are all best friends! My little Cocobean is my baby, she is my little snuggle bug, especially when I need comfort. I can't begin to imagine my life without her. My son got her for me as a puppy for my birthday after I lost my mom. Coco has helped me through my grief in so many ways! The surgery for Coco will cost between $6815-$7425. We have no savings or other resources to pay for her surgery. I have been out of work for hand surgery and soon a hip replacement. My heart breaks every day seeing her in pain. Just want her to be able to enjoy a long life
