Milo

Milo is a 6-year-old German Shepherd in Whiteville, NC, who needs $1,800 to have Broken Foot Plates Added.

Whiteville, NC

Milo was a rescue from a local kill shelter. He became apart of our family 5 years ago! He lives with us in a couple acres where he can run and play. He is the only dog we own. We love Milo and have taken care of him without any issues until now. He loves his home. He has access to a dog door but stays inside. He can run freely in our back yard. Milo and my two year old Granddaughter, Ellie are best friends! Milo is Ellie’s protector. Ellie came to live with us as an infant and Milo has never left her side since. There is a bond that was created out of love! She calls him “Milmo” since she can’t say Milo! She throws his ball for him and laughs so hard. She loves him. Milo never meets a stranger. He licks and plays with everyone. He absolutely loves playing fetch. He always has a ball in his mouth. And he is so gentle. He thinks he is a little dog and climbs in Ellie’s crib with her. He opens doors by himself and he knows many commands. He is absolutely smart, and loving! He protects Ellie no matter what. He is always by her side. Milo is extremely healthy. He has not ever had any issues. He ran into a car and then two stray dogs attacked him. He was unconscious or in shock and we had to defend him. He broke his foot completely into. It is so damaged that they wanted $7000 to complete the surgery. They told me to put him down because of his size and it being his front paw but I could not do it. Ellie loves him! But I also I financially support my Granddaughter now. She came to live with us at birth because her father abandoned her. This caused financial difficulties on us. That is why I can’t afford to pay for Milo’s surgery. I will have to chose feeding my granddaughter over Milo! 😭

King Tut

King Tut is a 6-year-old Egyptian Mau in LONG BEACH , CA, who needs $800 for Surgical Procedure & Teeth Cleaning under anesthesia.

LONG BEACH, CA

King Tutz BDay is 5/5/15 on that Holiday we lost my brothernl, as well. So, Tutz is a favored Giant Mau w sweet macho character.. He really is king on his Throne. I got him at 4 wks old. He was a surprise gift after losing my 19 y.o. Siamese. One look & I was inloved. As big as he is he can find ways & places to hide that Hudenni would be shocked. Tutz loves to tuck me in at night & purs & massages me till he thinks I'm sleep. Then I hear him running track thru the house. If the pet door is closed he'll come & wake me to open it. He wakes me when I sleep past breakfast time. He's jealous when Tippi, my 7lb Terrier is getting all the attention. He will glance, run by & just slap her, & the chase is on. He's 14 lbs & he knows he's The Man! Tutz hates Fireworks. Doesn't like table food, unless it's salmon. Luvs to be brushed, but not bathed. He's only indoor, so he sits out on the sun porch & bask or at front door. He sleeps all day & plays all night; true to his nature. Loves chasing toys, the birds, & being my shower body guard. He a chirper, no meowing! He loves chatting w me, & I, him. Signal Hill Vet Hosp requires blood work to clean teeth & surgically remove a small bump on his forhead..Which, we pray is not cancerous. Nevertheless, all of this ridiculously high priced. 1,000. Complete.Clng, & all the preparations. It hadn't seem to bother him over this past year of growth. But, now I see him favoring it. It looks more red & engorged. I love my darling King Tut. He is sweet I'm Disabled, so Income is fixed. I love my babies. Still, I can't afford these excessive costs. It's been rough on our family. (8)tragic Losses over the Holidays & on my own BDay 12/28, I learned of my malignancy. Need him healthy; they keep me going. Pls help if U can. Ty~

Bear

Bear is a 10-year-old Pomeranian in Cocoa, FL, who needs $1,700 for surgery.

Cocoa, FL

Bear came into my life in the year 2013. He was given to my sister by a person that I think didn't treat Bear too well because Bear is afraid of men's feet. But my sister asked me if I wanted Bear and so I took him and he has been with me since 2013 so I've had him for quite a while and I sure do not want to give up on him now. I have other animals and Bear gets along with them real well. He gets along with most everybody but most of time he's a loner he likes to lay by himself. Now and then he'll come up to people and want petting but most of the time he lays at his mommy's feet. He's like me most of the time, he likes to be by himself like his mommy we are like two peas in a pod. First of all dogs are special but what makes Bear special is he likes to sing for his supper and when I come home he'll even talk to me let me know that he's missed me he's talked to me let me know that he's hungry and when I put on music and I tell him let's dance to even dance with Mommy so I like to go bye-bye he's the best passenger I've ever had. Bear has a mass in his right lung the veterinarian clinic is Animal Cancer Clinic of Orlando they need to do the surgery so that he will live. They said if they do the surgery he will live and if they don't do the surgery the mass will grow and I will not have my little fury baby with us any longer and I cannot see myself without my baby so please help please help. Thank you! I have a job but I was not ready for this big bill that came up I was not ready for my dog to be sick. I have other bills that must be paid and without getting help to get these bills paid I will not be able to live and take care of the other dogs that I have and to have him healthy.

Chewie

Chewie is a 5-year-old Boxer mix in Hutto, TX, who needs $1,500 for Ccl surgery.

Hutto, TX

We found chewie as a puppy from spca. It was love at first sight! We were told that he would be 45 pounds. Well 86 pounds later 😂 he is the gentlest giant We have ever met! He has the goofiest personality and loves to cuddle. We live in a two story house with a large yard it has made it very hard for. Chewie to get around upstairs and around the yard since we have a large hill in back Chewie loves to curl up on the couch to sleep at night. He and his buddy Bruce Wayne are inseparable, they love to wrestle and chase each other around the yard, or just lounge in the sun together. We love to go on walks together and get outdoors. Chewie never meets a stranger and thinks everyone should stop to say hi and pet him. Due to COVID-19 money has been tight, and any savings and credit we had has already been used to survive over the last year. This is breaking my heart to watch my poor baby suffer in pain. If he gets this surgery it would mean our happy sweet boy will be able to play again Chewie was playing in the snow when he slipped and fell and tore his ccl in his knee. So now he hobbles around three legged and in pain. Because of his large size if he does not have surgery to repair it he will likely injure the other one as well, and be in constant pain. Dr Moreman at firehouse round rock says we need to have X-rays and then surgery as soon as possible. Chewie loves to play catch and when it does snow here, which is not often, he thinks catching snowballs is fun and confusing!😂. Chewie got his name because he chewed on your hand when you petted him. We soon learned to hold a toy for him chew on. Those baby teeth hurt! Thank goodness he grew out of that and now we think scooby would have been a better name because he is a talker!

BEAR

BEAR is a 3-year-old Mixed in Mableton, GA, who needs $1,975 for Heartworms treatment.

Mableton, GA

Bear is my perfect rescue baby. He was one of the dogs that had been in the shelter the longest. It was love at first sight and I can not imagine my life without bear. When he first joined our family he was so scared and shy. He is now 3 years old and spoiled rotten. When we took bear for his yearly check up we were informed he has tested stage 2 heartworm positive. Please help me save my baby. Bear has added so much joy and life back to my family. We love to go on walks, play in the backyard, goes on vacation with us. When I get home from work to see his beautiful face makes all my stress melt away. If he sees a bag in my hands he gets so excited knowing he has a treat or new toy. When we are in the backyard he loves to watch the birds or sit in the swing with me. He is perfect! We are a family that lives pay check to pay check. I don't know how to provide the money for bears treatments. This is a very unexpected expense, but I have to save my baby. I have already maxed out my credit card on his xrays and bloodwork. When we took Bear for his yearly check-up, they discovered he is stage 2 heartworm positive. He has never been sick before so my shock to learn this. We had the xrays and bloodwork completed, but there is a long process to save my baby. His next step is to stay over night at the vets and start his treatment. I have attached a picture that explains the treatment and vets information. The funny things my baby does, where do I start? He likes to play super puppy. I will ask bear where is super puppy, he will lay on his back with his front legs stretch out as if he is flying. Then he looks at me and smiles. He loves to be tickled under his front legs and laughs. He knows how to shake, high five and sit He had come a long way from being a shy baby in a shelter

Jordon

Jordon is a 1-year-old Persian in Fort Worth , TX, who needs $250 for Possible Heartworms.

Fort Worth, TX

Street rescue. Very cold, drizzle night this past Halloween. She came to me. Jordon followed me home and bumped my leg and started to curl around my ankle. Purring very loudly. She was so gentle, I picked her up, held her for a bit, put her down and she has never left my side since. It was going to freeze I could not bear the thought of her being in that kind of weather. She melted my heart, My son who is autistic took to her immediately. His interaction with her is always a joy to watch. First night we had her in the house she slept in his bed. First thing he said when he got up the next morning was she slept with him all night struggled next to him and purring. Can we keep her? I said maybe but it was already a yes in my mind. Expense cost my mind and I am out of work. Difficult.. COVID-19 has taken us to task. I lost my job, wife is teacher's aid that was furloughed for six months with school closers and we all got sick. We have burned through what little savings to pay the bills. Unemployment ran out, government assistance is slow to help/rejected. My issue is I first noticed worms around her back side. Did some research and decide to try to deworming her with OTC medications hoping it was not heartworms but just some other worms that can be easily treated. Again, no work, limited funds but I was going to do what I could with limit funds because we can not afford a vet visit. She is a kitty that jumps all over the place. Hence the name Jordan after Michael Jordon, Air Jordon, and the way she leaps across the room at play. She follows that boy everywhere. Kitchen, bathroom, bedroom. Door shut, no problem. She reaches underneath and if it is not secure, boom door is open. She has become the center of attention for that boy.

Baby Girl

Baby Girl is a 7-year-old Terrier Blend in framingham, MA, who needs $2,000 for Severe Mange Treatment/Skin Infection.

framingham, MA • as sweet as a peach animal rescue

Baby Girl found her way into the Fort Worth County Animal Shelter in Texas as an owner surrender, along with her sister, Queenie. Both sisters were set to be euthanized to no fault of their own as it only pertained to lack of space. As Sweet as a Peach stepped in and saved these two sisters with only minutes left to spare. Their lives were saved and they have been given a second chance. Currently, Baby Girl and her sister, Queenie, are waiting to travel up North so they can be adopted into new and loving homes. These girls are so loving and always love to be around one another. The only things stopping them at this time is Baby Girl's health. Her skin needs to improve before she is well enough to travel. It's hard to imagine that these gals found themselves facing euthanasia. They are the sweetest pair. Even with Baby Girl's skin condition, she doesn't let that hold her back from giving the cutest smile and tail wags. Once her hair fully grows back, she's going to be even more gorgeous than she already is. While her sister, Queenie, appears the healthiest of the two, Baby Girl has been severely neglected and her coat and skin reflect that. She has a skin infection that has caused major hair loss and discharge that needs to be addressed quickly. She's currently staying at Callaghan Road Animal Hospital for further care. As Sweet As a Peach is a 501c3 registered rescue that helps save dogs facing euthanasia in Texas. They save dogs like Baby Girl every single day and give them a new beginning to what could have been their end. Please consider helping so they can continue saving lives.

Lily

Lily is a 3 year old Mix-Breed in Burnaby , BC, who needs $25,000 for Enlarged Kidneys.

Burnaby

Lily is a 3 year old indoor cat who lives with me in a loving home. He is truly the baby of our family and holds a very special place in my heart. He has the sweetest personality gentle, affectionate, and always wanting to be close to me. He follows me around, keeps me company, and brings so much comfort and happiness into my life every day. Lily isn’t just a pet to me, he is my whole heart. Lily’s condition came on so suddenly. He started hiding, which he has never done before, and I knew something was wrong. Hearing that he has serious kidney issues and enlarged kidneys broke my heart. This is an emergency, and I feel helpless watching him go through this, especially because he is still so young. He needs urgent care to have a chance to get better. Lily is such a loving and gentle boy. He greets all of us at the door every time we come home, like he’s been waiting just for us. He loves being close, following me around and always wanting to be part of everything we do. His presence brings so much comfort and happiness into our home, and he truly makes every day brighter. I’m not working and can’t cover Lily’s medical bills. I’ve already borrowed $6,000 for his tests and am struggling with ongoing costs. Lily is my whole heart, and having him healthy again would mean everything. Your support would give him a chance to recover and bring hope.

Bonnie

Bonnie is a 1 year old Mix-Breed in Santa Barbara, CA, who needs $6,019 for Medial Patellar Luxation, Bilateral.

Santa Barbara, CA

We adopted Bonnie a few months ago when she was just a perfectly healthy, happy, and energetic puppy. She is a Chihuahua and jack Russel mix and definitely acts like it. She's so energetic and loves playing outside in our yard. Due to a series of unfortunate moves that drained our emergency fund, we haven't been able to pay for Bonnies surgery to let her live her life to the fullest. In the past 3 months however, we noticed Bonnie not using her back legs as much. She now walks around and stands in this old crouched position. When we brought her to our vet, and got a series or X-rays, we realized she has luxating patella in both of her hind legs which is a genetic condition that if we let it progress can make it so she can't use her hind legs We originally got Bonnie to be trained as an anxiety dog. But as time progressed we now like to say we sure the anxiety. She is the sweetest little dog who follows me around the house all day long begging to be cuddled and played with. She's a fiercely loyal dog who will bark at any man she doesn't know if they walk into our property. most importantly, she's a bundle of energy who loves to play. We had some sudden moves unfortunately that completely drained our emergency fund, and as a single parent middle class family, we don't have the money to pay for Bonnie's surgery. however, with this surgery Bonnie will be able to gain full function of her hind legs.
