Roxy

Roxy is a 9 Year Old American Pit Bull Terrier in Berkeley, CA, Who Needs $2,000 for Mast Cell Tumor Removal, Possibly Malignant Cancer.

Berkeley, CA

A month ago, my partner and I were driving home and saw Roxy walking by herself, on a busy street. We were able to get Roxy to come with us. The next day we brought her to animal services where they scanned her chip and had a vet look at her and do biopsies, which showed cancer. The owner didn’t want her so I went to get her. She’s had a rough time. We want to give her the best life possible. Roxy has numerous mammary tumors, a mast cell tumor at her left inner knee, and what is likely a keratin tumor on her toe pad that all need to be removed. She also needs an abdominal ultrasound and chest x-rays to see if her cancer has spread, so we can determine if surgery would save her. Her primary vet is at the San Anselmo Animal Hospital, but we may need to take her to UC Davis for oncology. Roxy was abandoned by her owner a few years ago and has lived with a few different homeless people recently. We found her walking on a busy street and she was very hungry and thirsty. Despite the fact that she’s had a rough time she was so sweet. Right when we brought her home she tried to press her face against us and wanted to be close to us. She loves to cuddle and is very smart. A month before finding Roxy we lost our beloved, healthy, playful dog. After spending nearly 10k it was finally discovered that she had an inoperable brain tumor. We tried everything to save her. Because of this we can’t afford to save Roxy by ourselves. We need help.

Finn

Finn is a 2 Year Old Mix-Breed in Cottonwood, AZ, Who Needs $2,500 for Biopsy.

Cottonwood, AZ

I rescued Finn from our local humane society 2 days after losing my 14yr old. He helped me heal through her loss. I have now had Finn for 8 months and he is 2yrs old, 3yrs in January. Finn and I live alone, and as with my girl that I lost I can't imagine being without him. Finn's name came from a TV show that I loved, and I just really love the name. About 2 months ago a mass was found on the right side of Finn's jaw that had already taken over his mandibular. I took him in because he was trying to stretch his jaw a lot. He is also losing muscle in the top right side of his head. It is thought to osteosarcoma, but he needs a biopsy in order to diagnose and treat. Finn's vet is Dr. Armstrong with Circle L animal hospital in Chino Valley, AZ. Finn has 2 favorite people in his life. His pet sitter Celina and Michael who comes over to play with him. Finn is quite the talker and carries on conversations with me quite often, especially when I tell him no:) Finn absolutely loves the water and hiking. Finn is very much a people dog and loves his humans. He is a beautiful, silly and amazing dog and I can't imagine losing him so soon. I have my own cancer scare going on right now and am very in debt with medical bills. Finn is on 3 medications and 2 supplements as well as I am making his food from home right now. The biopsy he needs is $2500 and I have tried getting loans. Please help my boy Finn.

Tootsie

Tootsie is a 3-year-old Domestic Short Hair Cat in Jacksonville, FL, who needs $1,553 for Dental Extraction.

Jacksonville, FL

Tootsie came into my life after I adopted her the day after Christmas a few years ago. She’s my very first cat and I’ve had her for almost 4 years now. I never asked how she ended up at the adoption place but I was told that she hates people and that she doesn’t like being around other cats and there were at least 100 cats at that place. I knew right away that I have to take her home with me. She likes to sleep on a pillow above my head and sometimes under a blanket. Tootsie is very skittish so she’s only comfortable to sleep around me and my sister. Her favorite thing to do is go outside and haunt lizards in the backyard. And when she’s not outside, she’s usually by the window to watch more lizards and cars drive by. She talks us into opening the window for her sometimes. When it comes to treats, she goes crazy for Churus! And despite having toys, she prefers to play with wrappers or anything she can find on the floor. Toosie likes to be hydrated so she spends forever drinking water from her water fountain and I kind of find it funny. She’s easily very scared by movement or noise and we figured she was traumatized by whatever happened to her before we adopted her. Last month, I took her to FCNMH in Cassat ave cause she was drooling blood. Turns out she has stomatitis and in so much pain. Ever since then, her quality of life had been severely affected. Her demeanor changed, she refused to eat, and had drastic weight loss. We tried to manage the pain with medication but she’s still in pain and not eat.Only option left is to extract the remaining of her teeth. However, with my emergency fund drained from her previous extraction, the estimate of $1,552.75 to extract the rest of her teeth was a sudden major expense for me. We would appreciate every contribution, no matter how small, to help restore her healthy life.

Kane

Kane is a 9-year-old American Staffordshire Terrier Mix in Vincennes, IN, who needs $2,000 for Radiation for Nasal Sarcoma, Biopsy and CT Scan.

Vincennes, IN

Kane came into my life when it was my 4th day at the shelter and one of the girls said I have a dog for you. We went and took Kane to the play yard. It was love at first site. We did a meet and greet with our other dogs and it was a match. We have been together since Nov 2106. He currently lives with his 3 doggie sisters that are 2,3 and 13. He also has 2 human brothers and a Daddy. Kane likes to sleep in bed either sharing my pillow or my blanket. He really likes to play fetch, go to the creek and play in the water. My favorite thing is when he talks and calls me mom mom. He absolutely loves his family and friends especially when he gets to go and see them. He does amazing with his 2 yr old rescue doggie sister and has actually learned to play for the first time. Kane is a special boy he loves to play in the hose, water sprinkler or any type of water. One of his favorite things to do is going on trails and doing anything outside related. He likes to play fetch and chase his sisters around the backyard. He is not much of a talker but he does like to shake his head yes and no to questions that you ask him. Kane went for annual exam when his nose started bleeding. That led to an x-ray that showed either mass or fluid. Next the MRI showed a Nasal Sarcoma. We were referred to University of Illinois Vet Teaching Hospital. Testing showed it has not spread but we need at CT & Biopsy to confirm the type of cancer. We also need to select a Radiation Plan that ranges from $3-9500. If anyone knows me, they know my dogs are my whole world and just like one of the kids. I promised Kane I would make sure he had the best life possible after his abusive past. I just want to improve his quality of life to let him live for however long we can give him.

Help Felix Make the Transition to Insulin

Wakefield, MA • Paws 4 A Cure

🐾 Paws 4 A Cure Needs Your Help Meet Felix, a sweet 12-year-old tuxedo cat from Kansas who has been by his mom’s side since he was just a kitten. For more than a decade, this goofy, affectionate boy has been a beloved companion, cuddle buddy, and source of comfort. Now, Felix needs help managing a serious health condition so he can continue enjoying the life he loves. Felix was diagnosed with diabetes mellitus in 2023 after developing neuropathy in his back legs caused by high blood glucose levels. Since then, he has been managing his diabetes with an oral medication. But his treatment needs have now changed, and his veterinarian has recommended transitioning Felix to Glargine insulin, along with continued monitoring to make sure his blood sugar stays under control. The estimated cost of his new treatment is approximately $263 per month, creating an ongoing financial challenge for his family. Felix’s mom is raising $400 to help cover the veterinary care and treatment needed to get him safely started on insulin. For Felix’s mom, he is so much more than a pet. She has had him since kittenhood, and he has been her constant companion through the years. She describes him as a “puppy cat” because of his friendly personality—he greets people with a lick on the hand and has never met a stranger. Alongside his sister Jewels, Felix has been a source of emotional support and unconditional love. “Felix is my cuddle buddy, my friend, my baby. He looks at me with those loving eyes and makes me feel like everything is going to be OK.” Now, his family wants to make sure Felix can continue receiving the treatment he needs to manage his diabetes and enjoy more happy years together. 💙 Will you help Felix get started on the insulin treatment he needs? Every donation, no matter the amount, can help Felix receive his veterinary care, begin his new treatment, and continue getting the monitoring necessary to keep his diabetes under control. If you can't donate, sharing his fundraiser can help his story reach someone who can. Paws 4 A Cure is an all-volunteer 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that provides financial assistance for urgent veterinary care to dogs and cats throughout the United States. The organization receives no government funding and relies entirely on the generosity of compassionate supporters. Please donate or share Felix’s fundraiser today and help this sweet senior boy continue being the loving, goofy companion his family adores. 💙🐾
