Recently, I adopted a sweet cat named Lil Linda from a friend. From the moment I brought her home, it was clear she’s an absolute love—gentle, affectionate, and full of trust despite everything she’s been through. When I adopted Lil Linda, she already had a severely bulging eye. I worked to get her into the vet as soon as I could, and after an exam, the doctors confirmed what I was afraid of: her eye cannot be saved. She’s currently on strong antibiotics and pain medication, but the vet has told me that her eye needs to be removed as soon as possible to prevent further pain and complications. Linda is the sweetest, most curious breath of fresh air in my home. She came to me during a divorce. Carl, an older cat, and I were very sad. Seeing her grow and be silly and snuggle with us has helped us heal. She's simply lovely. Anything you can give—donations, shares, kind words—means the world to both of us. Askem came into our lives at 4 weeks old almost 5 years ago. We picked him up from a lady in Indiana whose dog had a litter. We got both Askem and his brother Lee from the same litter. He is a German shepherd/husky mix. We currently live in a ranch style house with a big fenced in backyard. He lives with my husband and I, his brother Lee, 2 snakes, and 4 little human siblings under 6 years old. Askem started off having seizures in the summer of 2025. One day in December, I got up to let him outside and his could stand on his own. I took him to the emergency vet right away. He came back negative for any infections. Now they want to do an MRI to see if he has any tumors or a slipped disc. We have him on pain meds and antibiotics as of now. He is paralyzed in the back half of his body. Askem has a brother named Lee who came from the same litter. He also has 4 human siblings to play with. He loves to follow me (mom) around the house and cuddle. He loves to run around the yard with his brother Lee and the kids. This is an unexpected major expense for our family. We just want him healthy and happy again. He is only 5 years old and has more life to live! We need $4000 - $5,000 for an MRI. If it’s a slipped disc it would be another $15000 - $18000 for the surgery.

Ed

We adopted Ed and fuzz about 2 years ago from a shelter, got them when they were kittens and so far its just the 2 of them, I only was gonna get 1 but thought 1 would get lonely so now we have 2 cats both boys and playful. And I want to add They are both indoor cats. It's el paseo animal hospital in palm desert, so currently they both have dental issues. Fuzz being the worst,drools and has a foul odor so most likely looking at extractions but won't know fully until they go in depth with x-rays, and the same with Ed though probably not as severe as fuzz he also has dental issues, needs a cleaning but also needs x-rays, so estimate is 5k to 7500. Well they are both pretty calm cats but ed is the calmer cat the vet assistant said he's one of the sweetest cats, they both are playful they keep each other clean and sometimes they throw paws at each other but overall they are adorable amd sweet cats. They get along with the family although fuzz is the more scared one but overall they are both the sweetest cats. It would mean the world to see them 100% again, I did pay for some antibiotics for them and a check up but it wasn't nearly as much as the estimates for the dental work, right now it's about 5k to 7500, they are family to my kids and we just want to see them happy &healthy

I met Kaze in 2019 when he was just six months old — a big, fluffy bear of a standard poodle from a breeder in Virginia. I’ll never forget seeing him for the first time — standing on the steps, all fur and love, the biggest pup in his litter and already larger than life. I got him with the dream of training him as my service dog — and for two years, I did it all myself. Last week, everything changed. Kaze ran into a car late at night while I was letting him out. He didn’t get hit head-on, but the tire caught his paw and likely hurt his back leg. He’s limping badly and in pain, but I can’t afford the $350 just to get him seen for x-rays. Full treatment could reach $1,400–$2,000 — something I simply can’t manage right now on a fixed income with four kids and bills Through bus drivers passing us by, Uber denials, and freezing nights waiting with my kids, Kaze never once left my side. He learned how to calm me through PTSD, help with mobility, and even comfort strangers who needed him. He’s my retired service dog now — but still my best friend, my family’s protector, and my heart on four legs. I can’t lose him. He’s been there for me through everything, and I owe it to him to get him out of pain and back to being his silly, loving self — “Mr. Steal Your Girl,” as we call him, because he melts every heart he meets.

I believe her injury came from being mistreated before I rescued her. I’m seeking help to give her the pain-free, loving life she deserves. My dog, Wolfgang, is the heart of my family—friendly, social, and loved by everyone she meets. Sadly, her playful spirit has dimmed due to a painful knee injury. Gunther is an 8-year-old German Shepherd and certified service dog. We live together in a duplex near Eugene, Oregon. Gunther is an essential part of my daily life and well-being. He is well-socialized, regularly sees the vet, and is deeply loved by both me and our broader support network of caregivers and friends. Gunther was rushed to emergency care on July 9th and diagnosed with GDV (bloat), a life-threatening condition. He was in shock and needed immediate surgery to survive. The procedure was performed at West Eugene Animal Hospital. He is now recovering, but the emergency bill has left us in serious financial hardship. Gunther is my service dog and best friend. He’s goofy, gentle, and incredibly loyal. He senses medical episodes before they happen and brings calm in the hardest moments. He loves everyone he meets and brings joy to my whole support network. He’s more than a pet—he’s family, and my daily lifeline. I live on a fixed disability income and had no way to prepare for this emergency. Shane is my 10 year old, surrounded by his canine relatives. His Mother, Itty Bitty, his Grandmother, Jazzmine, his brothers and sisters from separate litters and one neice. All my females are spayed. As of this writing, Shane had a sarcoma removed by Horse Heaven Hills on October 4th, 2024. It slowly regrew over 4 months as the cancer wasn't cut out completely. I went to Washington State University for three radiation treatments. The flesh is necrotic and I am hoping partial lower jaw removal will extend his comfort and life. Shane was a baby when I moved in 2015 to my current location. Shane is my middle child and represents my attempt at happiness. Shane is still active and as of this writing he doesn't desire euthanasia. Shane is on medications for pain and inflammation. Fixed income is why I desire compassion for Shane...he doesn't deserve this and I'm confident he will be thrilled to exist with a pain free mouth, to continue interacting with his furry family.

Simon has been my rock for 16 years. He came into my life during my husband’s deployments, when I was battling severe depression. He gave me purpose and comfort when I had none. Now in his senior years, he’s become a gentle companion to my grandchildren—still offering love, even as his health declines. I looked and looked for my perfect furry companion. I drove 3 hours to a breeder to find him. Simon has a painful tumor near his anus that’s affecting his quality of life. His discomfort is worsening, without treatment, it could become life-threatening. The team at Acredale Animal Hospital has advised medical intervention as soon as possible, but I can’t afford it on my limited SSDI income. My poor Simon. I can't imagine the pain he is enduring just trying to do normal doggie things. Simon isn’t just a dog—he’s been my emotional lifeline. Through years of depression, he never left my side. He now comforts my grandchildren with the same love. Even in pain, he tries to stay strong. Losing him without trying everything would be heartbreaking for all of us. I love my little Simon with everything I have and won't lose him with out doing everything I can. I’m living on a fixed SSDI income, and this unexpected emergency has left me helpless.
