Sweet Parmesan has already beaten the odds. After leaving the overcrowded Downey Shelter in Southern California before being considered for euthanasia, this tiny senior Maltese finally found safety with Bichon Rescue Brigade. But while he escaped the shelter, his journey to good health was only beginning. Parmesan arrived with multiple serious medical concerns, including a heart murmur, severe vision impairment, painful dental disease, anemia, electrolyte imbalances, and chronic dry eye disease. Despite everything he’d endured, his gentle, loving personality never wavered. Everyone who meets him says the same thing— he is unbelievably sweet. His veterinary team immediately got to work. Parm has been diagnosed with immune-mediated dry eye, a lifelong condition that will require daily medication to keep him comfortable. Parmesan also underwent dental surgery to give him a fresh start. Years of advanced periodontal disease had caused severe gum recession, and veterinarians had no choice but to remove six painful teeth to relieve his suffering. Although his surgeries went well, there are still challenges ahead. Veterinarians have confirmed that Parmesan has no vision, and he will need ongoing monitoring of his eyes, repeat bloodwork to evaluate mildly elevated liver enzymes, lifelong eye medication, and continued follow-up care as he adjusts to his new life. So far, Parmesan’s medical care has already exceeded $1,200, and his journey isn’t over yet. After everything he’s been through, Parmesan deserves the chance to spend his golden years free from pain, surrounded by love instead of uncertainty. This is my wife’s dog that she got when she was barely 14 years old. Her family didn’t care for Reese too much, but my wife did everything thing in her power to take care of Reese. We left for college, and her family neglected Reese’s lifestyle and let her develop complications that were not cared for. We moved her to our college town a couple weeks ago and are doing our best to care for our pup. Reese was diagnosed with diabetes, Horner’s Syndrome, a UTI, hyperthyroidism, and allergies. All very recently. She has recently been a patient at Sherwood South Animal Hospital. She is the sweetest and silliest pup to her owners. She is adorably sassy and loves to huff when she doesn’t quite get her way. She loves back and belly scratches, and was only taught one command, “Kisses!” She loves to give you a kiss if she tolerates you enough. Her health has hindered her playfulness, but every now and then she’ll return to her youthful side and get playful with her toys. We’re college students that work multiple jobs each to keep finances going. We just spend around $2,000 in the last 10 or so days. The neglect Reese received from her previous owners fell on us, and we need the help to recover from these debilitating payments.

Rockne is our sweet rescue pup who we fell in love with immediately. He's sensitive, loving, protective, goofy, handsome and so much more. He is truly our baby. Our boy got into a loaf of raisin bread this morning and ate the whole thing. We were able to get him to the ER Vet pretty quickly and they were able to induce vomiting. The EVCC in Mishawaka, Indiana has been incredible and we are so thankful for their care of our boy. Rockne is such a lover. He prefers to have pets all day long from anyone that is willing, but he sure loves his daddy. Talk about Man's best friend. He is the piece that completes our family and we don't know what we would do without him. This is a huge unexpected cost for us and we are struggling to make it work but we are going to try and do whatever we can to make sure our boy comes home healthy and happy again.

I found goose on Craigslist! My grunting boy, hints the name. I drove 4 hours to get him, he’s been the best puppy so far. So smart and sweet! He’s got the most beautiful nose and he’s my favorite dude! I’m looking for help, any information, guidance on parvo. After I got him I took him to the vet, he was fine, other than he had a parasite. Which we started the medication for. 2 days later he’s sick and won’t really eat or play. I took him back to the vet to hear that he has parvo. Im trying to get him the help he deserves and needs. He’s a fighter, and I know he can make it. Any recommendations? He was really shy when I got him, but opened up very fast. He follows me everywhere, and always has his eyes on me. He’s the most beautiful blonde color I’ve ever seen. Super rare! He loves his toys and chasing his tail! He’s goofy, and he knows how to use the pee pad! I have been looking for an animal for quite some time. A couple years ago I had to make the decision with my horse to put him down because I didn’t have the finances to cover the cost. Peaches is a sweet senior Poodle mix whose life was given a second chance thanks to CAMO Dog Rescue. Rescued from the Arlington Animal Shelter just in time. When she arrived, it was discovered that she had suffered a broken jaw. The fracture on the lower right side of her mandible had healed on its own, but it healed crooked and became fused out of alignment. Thankfully, the bone is now solid, stable, and causes her no major issues. While she still has some remaining teeth that may eventually need to be removed, her veterinary team is taking a conservative approach. For now, they are focused on keeping her comfortable through dental cleanings and antibiotics while preserving as much support for her jaw as possible. Despite her past hardships, Peaches is in remarkably good health and has an incredible spirit. She is a funny, quirky girl who keeps everyone smiling with her unique personality. One of her favorite tricks is walking on her hind legs, a talent that never fails to delight anyone lucky enough to meet her. Peaches may be a senior, but she still has plenty of love, laughter, and charm to share. Her resilience, joyful nature, and sweet disposition make her a truly special dog who deserves a safe, loving home where she can enjoy her golden years.

When rescuers received a call about a small dog limping through the streets, they feared the worst—that he had been struck by a vehicle and urgently needed help. But when Amici Cannis brought him to safety and rushed him to the veterinarian, they discovered an even sadder truth. His injury wasn't new. The sweet little dog they named Gepeto had been living with a chronic hip luxation, a painful dislocation that had likely gone untreated for a very long time. Every step he took was a reminder of the pain he had been forced to endure while surviving on the streets alone. Despite everything he has been through, Gepeto remains gentle, trusting, and hopeful. Now, for the first time, he has a chance to leave that pain behind. His veterinary team has recommended a Femoral Head and Neck Ostectomy (FHO), a specialized orthopedic surgery that will remove the source of his chronic pain and allow him to regain comfortable mobility. The goal is simple but life-changing: to help Gepeto walk, run, and enjoy life without the constant discomfort he has known for so long. Following surgery, Gepeto will move into a loving foster home where he can safely recover and begin physical rehabilitation. Jada was gifted to me by my son( whom I just got back in my life after 13 years). March 17th, was such a huge blessing! She was born in Jackson, Mississippi early this year. She is a natural service puppy! Almost 3 weeks ago, Jada was struck by a vehicle/ hit and run. My cousin was babysitting Jada and let her out to play with his puppy. I was gone 15 minutes. It took me 2 and a half very long hours to find my J- Buggie.( Jada). My world was crushed seeing my baby hurt so bad! This was a Saturday. Poor Jada had to endure terrible pain until Monday morning before she was admitted. Jada is the sweetest pup I've ever met. She loves everyone! Animals as well! Her best friend is Timbur, a 9 month mix. She loves her toy monkey! I have Epilepsy and Jada already is doing amazing work with me when I'm having seizures. My family has told me.
