Lottie is a 5 year old Old English Bulldog in Greenwood, IN, who needs $2,350 for Heartworm Treatment.

Lottie is a 5 y/o female English Bulldog. She was given away to me because her owner was moving away. When I picked her up I found that Lottie was living in a barn. The owner/breeder kept her from one of her litters. Lottie had one litter of puppies. Then was shifted to the barn. Lottie was never spayed. She had no recent vaccines. She had an abrasion on her left eye and a sore on her foot. When I took her the vet, she was found to have bacteria, yeast infections in her ears, on her mouth and feet. When her blood work came back she had also tested positive for heart worms. The treatment has not been started yet. This is not just due to cost, but also, she has been gaining weight and possibly be pregnant. The abrasion on her eye, which needs surgery, was from a dog trying to breed her Lottie is a charmer. Very obedient. She just wants to be near her people. Lottie is very loving. She is tolerant of other dogs. I would love to be able to provide her the home she deserves. I have 4 other dogs, that require care. That has become very expensive. Pinky has cancer that is returning. She was treated with surgery and radiation. Scout and Freddie require special food due to pancreatitis.

Meet Millie, a beautiful 3 year old brindle Pit Bull mix in the care of Franklin County Humane Society. For more than a year, Millie has been on a journey filled with challenges, healing, and hope as she waits for the forever family she deserves. When Millie first arrived at the shelter, she was shy and unsure of her new surroundings. As the team got to know her, they discovered there was more behind her hesitation: Millie was living with severe pain in both of her knees. To give her the chance at a comfortable and active life, Millie underwent two major knee surgeries. She then spent months recovering in foster care, where she was given the time, patience, and support she needed to heal. Through it all, Millie has shown just how resilient she is. Today, she has blossomed into a happy, affectionate girl whose tail rarely seems to stop wagging. She loves being around people and gets along wonderfully with both dogs and cats. She enjoys playing fetch, going for car rides, enthusiastically destroying her stuffed toys, and ending the day curled up on the couch with her favorite person. Franklin County Humane Society has been there for Millie throughout her medical journey, making sure she received the treatment and care she needed. Talia was a rescue that in turn rescued me. Talia was abandoned in a field south of our town. She was left with no food or water. We brought her to our home when she was around 7 months old based on dental records. Talia became my Sobriety Dog. Talia now lives with my wife and I as well as our 7 year old husky Socrates. Talia was living her best life until the gruesome injury. I was taking both huskies to the groomers when Talia was able to pull her leash from my hands. Talia sprinted down the neighborhood and fully ruptured her CCL while on the uneven yards and street.. It is the same injury as a human ACL tear in the knee. The specialized vet is BRVSS of Bakersfield. The surgery procedure is TPLO with an estimated cost between $6000-$7000. W rescued Talia and in doing so She rescued me. Talia is able to sense when my anxiety is high and she will climb into my lap. By Talia doing this, it causes me to redirect my attention in a different direction without me even realizing it at the moment. Talia isn’t just a pet, she is a part of our family. Now that she needs my help, We are unable to afford the surgery she needs. I missed almost a month of work with bad discs in my back. The place they sent me to get physical therapy was not clean. I ended up contracting shingles there. That caused me to miss another month of work. This surgery is $6-7000. Talia is my life.

I am a dog lover and have a special place in my heart for rescues. I adopted Sammy in 2021. He was transported to Virginia from South Carolina. There was no background information about him because he was a stray. Sammy has never had any problems with his appetite. I noticed he was losing his appetite and drinking excessive water. I took him to my vet, where he diagnosed with diabetes after becoming critically ill. He developed diabetic ketoacidosis (DKA), a life-threatening emergency that required immediate hospitalization in the intensive care unit. He was admitted to the ER ICU on Sat, July 25, 2026. Sammy immediately fit in with the other rescues in my pack. He was #5 at that time. He loves laying anywhere in the sun. He is honestly the most intelligent dog I’ve ever adopted (I’ve rescued 10 over the past 20yrs). I only have one female in the pack right now, and Bella is his girlfriend. They all miss him as much as I do. Any donation you can give would be appreciated from the bottom of my❤ I am living with terminal stage IV metastatic breast cancer. He once survived a Utah rattlesnake bite to save my foster puppies. He currently lives in a peaceful Fort Smith, AR apartment with me, our Weimaraner rescue diplomat Indie, and our retired 7yo solo ranch herding dog Bailey. Theodore (TJ) needs a surgical mass removal, laboratory biopsy, full dental cleaning under anesthesia, blood panel, and heartworm test due to a newly developed lump on his body. He is my vital 90lb mobility service dog. Treatment will be done at Vetco Total Care. This grant will cover his max estimate of $1,174.31 to include post-op meds. TJ is special because he senses cortisol spikes to preempt my panic attacks. Born from Czech police lines, he chose a soft, loving heart instead. He protects our family with alpha chivalry, gently rolling on his back to let rescue Weimaraner Indie win play matches, and giving retired ranch dog Bailey absolute couch peace while using his 90lb body as my mobility shield. As a handler on a fixed disability income, this $1,174 Vetco surgery is an impossible mountain. Honey has been with me for almost seven years, a rescue whose sweetness earned her name. She saved our 13‑year‑old husky from a deep depression after he lost three friends, teaching him to play again. They’re inseparable. Honey fills our home with joy and quirky love — especially her obsession with Christmas trees. She is the heart of our household —a gentle spirit who has shaped our lives. Honey was diagnosed with lymphoma. It isn’t curable, but treatment at Doctor Pet Emergency Hospital can give her more time and comfort. I’m devastated, but I’m fighting for every day she still has. She deserves the chance to keep living the joyful life she loves and sharing that joy with others, which comes so naturally to her. Honey is pure joy — she loves people, her husky companion Angel, rope toys, beach walks, pup cups, and car rides. She “talks” like a true husky, fears thunder, and is amazed by Christmas trees and ocean waves. Through every hard chapter of my life, she’s been quiet comfort, teaching me how to smile, live again and find wonder in the ordinary things. Emma was already dangerously close to losing her life once. This sweet senior girl and her bonded companion, Casey, were surrendered to the Nicholas County Animal Shelter in Summersville, West Virginia. Confused, vulnerable, and suddenly without a home, the pair faced the terrifying risk of euthanasia. Thankfully, Beagles R Us Rescue in Indiana stepped in before it was too late. Emma and Casey were rescued together, giving these devoted senior companions the second chance they desperately deserved. They were finally safe—but then came devastating news about Emma’s health. Veterinary testing revealed a large mass attached to Emma’s spleen. It had grown so large that it was putting pressure on her other organs. Emma needed major surgery, and her rescuers once again had to fight for her life. Emma successfully underwent surgery to remove the mass and her spleen and is now back with her foster family, eating, resting, and slowly regaining her strength. And after an agonizing wait, her rescue finally received the news everyone had been praying for: the growths were benign and no cancer cells were found. It was an enormous relief but Emma’s fight has left her Beagles R Us Rescue with a staggering veterinary bill that came in even higher than the original estimate. Emma survived the threat of euthanasia. She survived major surgery. Now, she needs your help. Her rescue refused to give up on her when she was at risk in the shelter. They refused to give up when a frightening mass threatened her health. They gave this senior girl the chance to heal, to feel comfortable again, and to spend her later years knowing what it means to be safe and loved. Goku is very special to us he acts like a dog he is always around us and wants to be with us he is very loving and affectionate and talks to us.
