James was born on Latin American Mother’s Day, May 10, 2016. He was a gift to Kate’s daughters and has been with the family for all seven years of his life. Though he was a gift for her daughters, James grew most attached to Kate and they share an incredible bond. James loves to go on walks with Kate (and only Kate) around the neighborhood. He likes taking his favorite balls on their walks and greeting neighbors and schoolchildren. He loves nuzzling family for pets and back rubs. James is intelligent. He can tell when people are upset or hurt and tries to comfort them. He loves meeting new people and receiving pets and praise, but he’s always gentle with children. He likes to sunbathe and enjoys napping on cozy blankets in front of the busy front door. The silliest thing about James is that he is camera shy, once a phone camera is pulled out he looks away. We noticed a growth on his tail around October 2023 and scheduled him for an appointment and biopsy. Thankfully the growth was benign, however, because the growth is on the tail, it needs to be removed via surgery as it can grow too large and cut off circulation. His vet came up with a plan to save his tail, which would include weekly vet visits to change the bandages on the open wound. We are committed to helping James get the treatment he needs to save tail, however, the cost of surgery is a huge financial strain and our savings have already been hit by the initial biopsy. Kate also recently had surgery and can't work. We would appreciate any contribution

I have a 5# chawahw,/Japanese Chin mix. She follows me everywhere threw the house,and the back yard. She's my best friend, "my everything". I've had many forever dogs, n I've had a special bond with them all. I loved each of them the same. I've just had diff connections with each of them. I always wanted a small dog,an Hookaha made that possible, she takes my anxiety and depression away. Hookaha sleeps under covers with me. She really enjoys walks at anytime day or nite.. she has a brother in the house he is a (Cavalier King Charles,) also 4 yrs old his name is Valentino. I also have a few cats living in house. They all get along. (Hookaha dose get jealousy of the others), so wants me undivided attention. She makes me smile constantly, she's always giving kisses.. she a lover! Hookaha is so very special, she's the lil dog I've always waNted..I'm the type that has had my animals individually cremated. there ashes r with me when my turn to go, I want them buried with me... My babies mean everything to me they are my family, all I have. I wldnt be without them. She likes to b in a backpack when I mow the grass!! She gets mad if I don't take her! She's saved me many ways. Hookaha is believed to have a brain tumor, that causes her to run around in circles, she dose not eat or drink during these episodes. They can last a day up to 4 days 3 nites n it's heart breaking her body twitches n she can't relax. At times she drools heavily, she stairs off n gets week looses where balance in her back end. When She doesn't go threw this she is normal, she has much life to live. I'm on SS for a work injury, I never in a million yrs wld had thought of this type of thing to happen to my babies! She's a loving careing dog I have prob that she helps m with. At 54 she gets me threw, ally bad days I wld b list without her! I don't want to loose her.

Bubba

Bubba is our rescue child, he had a very rough beginning as he was at the brink of death when we found him. He was hot by a car and survived and thrived. he has actually saved our lives more than we have saved his. He is a loyal loving boy and loves all his family. he rather spend all day in bed with mommy napping and cuddling. and of course he is a treat lover. He is the ray of sunshine when we get home from work everyday. He is a big ole cuddle bug with so much love to give. We cant imagine a day without his smile. Bubba has helped me through so many depression and anxiety attacks that I cant see my life without him. Bubba loved us so much that he gets overly excited when we get home. He smacked his tail against the wall and opened it last week. Today we took him to the vet and he needs a tail amputation urgently as the concern is infection going into the spine. Our business failed after covid and we became homeless. We just began getting on our feet this fall and then both of our vehicles broke down and required significant repairs. Now this, we are in need of any help we can get for Bubba's tail amputation surgery.

My daughters and I adopted Bambi from the local shelter 10 years ago when he was 5 years old. He had been surrendered there matted beyond belief and suffering from ear infections. He was shaved and had a mohawk and we fell in love with him instantly. He's been with us ever since. He is now old at 15 but unfortunately;y he is in need of surgery to remove a large tumor on his side. Bambi is my perma-side-kick always at my side. He sleeps with me or my girls every night. He is the sweetest pup ever and I desperately want to relieve his pain. Bambi will dance on his back legs when he wants attention or treats! He loves his spot on the back of the couch or buried in the clothes hamper! He is the sweetest pup ever and deserves the longest life possible. Bambi has been showing these tumors for about the last year now. They have gotten progressively worse with one on his side now requiring medical attention. It is the side of a walnut now and causing him obvious pain. He also has a few rotten teeth that I'd like to have taken care of while he is under anesthesia. I am a solo parent to two teenagers. Over the last two years I have been laid off twice and financially am struggling to keep our home. Bambi is a cherished part of the family, but I simply do not have the funds to afford his care at the moment.

We playfully call her tiny stuffed toys "babies," and she carries them around with a charming enthusiasm. Potty time is a joyous occasion for her as she eagerly anticipates her treats. Powder came into out lives on a cold February day about 2 years ago. I heard a meow outside and thought it was my other cat, so I opened the door and in ran a skinny all white cat. She had fleas, cuts and you could see her ribs. She ate 4 cans of food. I took her to the vet and we got her all taken care of and she healed and gained weight. She loves to sneak outside, snuggle and she LOVES food. Powder sleeps with us. Her favorite person in our family is her dad. Our daughter Winnie loves her so much and stares at her and talks to her. Powder is very gentle with Winnie and lets her pet her. Powder is very friendly and snuggly. During my pregnancy she would lay on me and purr anytime I was sitting down. As I mentioned she is a sneaky little thing ans will snatch off of hour plate if you aren’t careful! Powder became ill around Christmas with an Upper Respiratory infection. However the vet thinks there is another underlying condition because she is not responding to antibiotics. I currently have to feed her with a syringe and she has lost over a 1lb. She has tested negative for feline aids and leukemia. She goes to Devonshire Veterinary Clinic and her doctor is Dr. Smiley. I am on a fixed income due to a new baby (7 months old) & my husband is a disabled veteran. Powder does not deserve to be euthanized because she is a sweet loving girl who is only 2 years old.

We’ve had hondo since he was a baby. He is our baby. My little sister named him when she was a toddler. We have no idea what she was trying to say but she said something that sounded like “my baby hondo” and it stuck. Hondo loves snuggling in bed with us and will kick at the door if he accidentally gets locked out. He is a stinker and loves to play fight and can have such an attitude (he’s a chihuahua what do you expect lol). He has small plush toys that he loves to snuggle with and loves to run around with (but only on HIS terms) so you never know when he’s going to get a burst of energy to play. Hondo has learned to press his dinner button to ask for food! They say you can’t teach an old dog new tricks, but hondo learned that at 13 years old! He has such a big personality for a small boy. Hondo unfortunately was diagnosed with a tumor on his tongue. This will require surgery to remove the tumor and then will most likely need to be followed up with radiation. He also has a heart murmur that will require additional monitoring during treatment. He will be treated at Texas A&M’s small animal hospital. Surgery and additional care like this can be up to $10,000. They don’t take payment plans and require payment upfront. The tumor remained the same size for a while, but has recently increased. I am so scared for my baby and am not ready to lose him.

I found Biggles on Craigslist about 7 years ago in Las Vegas. He ad started out at $100 and they kept lowering it and lowering it till they were asking for $20 for him. A one eyed shy siamese and no one seemed to want him. I withdrew the last $20 I had in my account at the time & bought him. Best $20 I ever spent. He's been with me ever since. He is my best friend & #1 fur baby. Biggs is a lover. He was shy at first around everyone but me but he's slept with me every night since I got him. He used to sleep on my belly under the blankets when I was pregnant. He loves to cuddle and love bite me, my husband & our 2 kids. He puffs up his tail when he's excited and purrs so loud. He gets along so well with our other fur babies. Like a big older brother. He puffs his tail up when he's happy and excited. He talks and meows when he's happy. He always liked to get under the blankets with me and sleeps next to me. He is a huge cuddle bug and I love his love bites. He does it all the time when he thinks he's not getting enough attention it's actually really funny. No ankles are safe when he demands the love and pets haha. He goes to Day hallow Animal hospital in Owego NY. He's been loosing weight at a terrible weight. He used to be 13 lbs & he's down to 8 lbs. He always wants to eat and has been having runny eyes. At first we thought it was his thyroid but all his blood work came back perfect. So next steps are scans and x rays to see if we can find the problem. I can't stand to see him wither away. My husband is the only one working & we have 2 small children. I maxed out my credit for Biggs already & been denied by care credit & we just don't have $1500 for the bill. We're behind as it is.
