Life on the streets of Paterson was rough on Nubby, a friendly community cat who was inflicted with a wound while navigating life outdoors. His caretaker was unable to care for him, and by the time Nubby came to RBARI, his wound was huge and severely infected. We are providing Nubby with emergency medical care, wound treatment and refuge with the promise of no more street life. He will need long term wound management, and bandage changes, which he is getting in our cattery. Nubby said good-bye to outdoor life when he came through our doors at RBARI – and is now seeking a forever home – indoor only! Please consider a donation for our Community Cats, like Nubby. Hi! Firstly just want to say thank you to all who takes the time to read Punkin’s story! He was adopted alongside his sister at 3 months old. They did come from the same litter! We live together in my apartment and i’ve had him for 4 years 🥹I was 18 when i brought them home and i am now 23. They are my best friends. The biggest thank you and praise to the team at jarrettsville Veterinary Clinic! They are such an amazing and wonderful group of people and i couldn’t have went to a better place to have my baby treated. Punkin suffered from a blocked bladder from stones/crystals, unable to relieve his bladder he went from being his usual self to limping, laying in his litter box, and not eating or sleeping. Punkin is a crazy cat that loves to talk and lick feet. Don’t have your toes out around him or he’s gonna eat them, he doesn’t always possess the shared orange cat brain cell. He loves to play, eat treats, and lovessss attention from anyone who will give it! But he loves nothing more than his sister Boobie❤️ I am currently in school working to become a certified esthetician and also working a minimum wage job to support myself. Loving and Sweet Girl Mango is just three months old but she has gone through so much in her young life. We first got her and she was the sweetest, happiest little 8-week old labradoodle. She immediately jumped into my wife's arms. She doesn't just wag her tail, she wags her entire body. She even brought so much joy to the hospital staff. She has so much more love to give to anyone who meets her. The very next day after picking up Mango, she spiked a high fever. She spent the next two days in the hospital. They didn't know what it was. She was put on steroids and it wasn't until we tapered them weeks later, did she have another episode. With much examination, it was found that she has a rare condition called Hypertrophic osteodystrophy (HOD), a bone disease dogs can eventually grow out of. We were told by the vet that this is a condition she can grow out of once she fully matures. The vet said we should keep fighting for her, because she can go on to have a healthy and long life. Mango was the last dog in her litter and we chose her. She was meant to be with our family. For some reason, we were meant to have this dog- meant to fight for her. She has so much more love to give. We never expected to undergo the amount of money these bills call for just within the first month of ever owning a pet. We are willing to try every avenue and go down every path to figure this out. When we keep the relapses under control, Mango can live out a beautiful life.

Hello, my name is Jen Morgan and I am reaching out for help to take care of my man rebel. He is my best friend. He has my ride or die. He is my ESA and he is my granddaughter’s best friend as well as my husband’s child. For Christmas, I bought him a stuffed toy and he ate it, and it is now stuck in his intestines. We took him to the vet and they did a steroid shot, hoping that he would drink more and it would push it through his system and it didn’t. At the time, my vet said that he should be good. Well a couple days has passed and he is getting worse and worse so we took him to another vet and they did x-rays and the stuffing and stuff in his intestines. He is in critical condition and I’m asking for help because they want to do emergency surgery in our household can cannot afford that at this time so I am asking for help cause I cannot lose my best friend my ESA. Our child our fur baby.

Reggie was my soul mate day 1. I didn't want another dog because we already had 2 but love made me drive over an hour to pick up a "Maltese". The lady rehoming the pup was outside with him. As soon he saw me he ran to me as if he knew me and slept in my lap on the way home. I knew then it was fate. After a messy separation, he came with me. He's been with me thru my darkest hours. I love him He has a growth on his chest/underbelly area that has recently grown in size and it is bothering him. When I took him in before, I was told not to worry since it wasn't bothering him at the time but bring him in if it grows quickly. That's where we are now but I'm not in the same financial space I was previously. He's the most loving baby ever. Takes a while to warm up but once he does, you're family. He loves grooming his sister & tries to groom us as well. He's so vocal! He's very playful & has a different ball for every day for two weeks straight. He can be mischievous and will hide his toys to force you play or even drop them off the balcony. I love his little noises & attitude. He is my whole world. I had to move out of the home we've shared and start over with no family for support. Happened at the worst time because the cost of living was up as well as rent but I had to have a place to stay. Any help would mean that he gets a fair chance because he is worth it to me!

Emma was found severely underweight and suffering from old injuries to her legs that had been left to heal on their own. She also tested positive for heartworms. Her condition tells them that she has been struggling for quite some time. Emma's owners had reportedly been out of state for several weeks, with someone supposedly checking in on her. But when Emma jumped out of a window, it became painfully clear that she had not been receiving the care and attention she needed. Now, Emma is safe with this rescue, and they're focused on helping her heal. She needs to gain strength and weight before she's healthy enough for her next steps, including spaying and heartworm treatment. For now, they're giving her the food, medical attention, and love she should have had all along. Emma's veterinary care, nutritious food, medications, and the treatments are not coming at a low cost, and The Project Outreach Co could desperately use your helping in offsetting the medical bills. Circe is my best friend and loyal companion. She was dropped off at my house for one night before being surrendered to a shelter, but from the moment I met her, I knew she'd never see the inside of one. She's intelligent, loving, empathetic and a quick learner. She's what I look forward to most when leaving work and what I miss most while I'm there. Circe was recently diagnosed with lymphoma, which seemed to appear out of nowhere. At only 6 years old, it was the last thing I expected to hear after taking her to the vet because she wasn't acting like herself. She has undergone testing and has begun treatment at Wheat Ridge Animal Hospital, with more testing and treatment ahead. I was Circe's fourth family and took her in just before her 6th birthday. Since then, she's become my family in Colorado. She's the first person (dog) I go to with good or bad news, who I cry to on hard days and run around the park with on good ones. I can't imagine what she's going through, and I want to give her the best care available because it's what she deserves. I work at the Denver Public Library and live on a modest income. After years of hard work, I was finally able to buy my first home just a month ago, which depleted much of my savings. Now I'm facing unexpected cancer testing and treatment costs I can't manage alone.

Draco is my best friend. He has been my baby since he was able to leave his fur mom. He has a human sister, a human brother and a dewgy dewg sister. He is the sweetest most gentle guy I know and loves to love. Draco loves to play! His favorite words are bubbles, walk and whipped cream. You can not squirt the whipped cream can without him running for some. He knows which toys are his and which are his sisters, but likes to irritate his sister by pushing her ball around. He loves when she grts feisty and chases him. Draco is a special kinda silly. He is scared of his own shadow, literally! If something is too close to him while he is eating, it gets the side eye the whole time. He is bigger than his sister, but thinks hes a lap dog. He has not eaten or pooped for almost a week. I am scared to take him to the vet to get diagnosed, knowing I can not afford to help him right now. My Carecredit is maxed out from a prior procedure he had. The vet he goes to is amazing, but does not offer financial assistance. My best friend needs help. This year has been oneof the roughest yet. I know everyone is going through it. But between hybrid battery going out, other car engine blowing, nail in tire, broken car windows by locals, who don't respect anything and vet procedure to save Dracos foot, its been extra hard.
