It appeared that he was severely malnourished, unfortunately two months after I adopted him I found out it was so much worse! I rent a single family 2 story house, but I am trying to find a single level house which would help with Kash’s disabilities Kash is diagnosed with C2/3 Spinal Compression and Cataracts I cannot afford these surgeries. Spinal - his gait, balance, stability, mobility is affected daily. He does not run, use stairs or walk on tile. I put my faith in wrong people and it cost me dearly. My savings was depleted, to pay for his medical expenses my credit cards are maxed out. A puppy shouldn’t have to struggle with normal, everyday things. My life is limited due to his limitations. Surgery would fix that

Lara G. and her family are struggling financially. Her husband lost his job because of COVID-19, and money is tight. "It's exhausting. It's not easy," Lara tells Waggle. "You can't put anything into savings, and you live check to check." Their new puppy, Sasha, was a bright ray of sunshine during these challenging times. "She is an amazing puppy. She is smart, playful, and most of all very loving," Lara says. But then Sasha became very sick. Lara rushed her to the animal hospital and got terrible news: Sasha had Parvo. The highly contagious virus can be deadly if not treated. When Lara got the estimate for Sasha's treatment, she was shocked. It was thousands of dollars-- money her family did not have. Lara was faced with economic euthanasia, potentially putting Sasha to sleep because Lara could not afford the puppy's care. "I said, we have to come up with the money fast. I cannot put an animal down. It's not fair. I was worried, stressed, and anxious. Her life was on the line," she says. Lara says the Veterinary Emergency Group animal hospital told her about Waggle, and she launched this campaign for Sasha. Lara, her family, and Sasha want to thank anyone in advance who might donate to help; Sasha has her whole life ahead of her. "She will make you smile just by being around her," Lara says. "She is incredibly snuggly. She has adopted my daughter's stuffed rabbit and drags it all over the apartment, and then finally takes it to bed when she is ready to go to sleep. She is just a baby but already has such an outgoing personality."

Penelope came into our life through my son. He found her on FaceBook Marketplace. She was only four weeks old when he purchased her. Way too young to be taken from her mother. I instantly fell in love with Penelope and soon she became my constant companion 💕. Penelope was diagnosed with nasal carcinoma on July 3rd of this year, Dr. Alexander at Ambassador. At this point she was having difficulty breathing and the small lump between her eyes had grown significantly. Initially she was given two weeks to live. I can't even describe how devastated and helpless I felt. The diagnosis was confirmed by Dr. Nathan Lee at Upstate Vet on 08-06-2025, by CT scan. Penelope's favorite items are her three pillows and three dog beds. She has to have them in the bed with us every night to sleep and every morning before leaving for work, I take all six items to the living room where she remains in the daytime. If I'm in my craft room, I have to take her "belongings" with us, also. If I forget her belongings she barks at me. I've taken on large amounts of debt for surgery, tests, and medication, primarily relying on credit cards to cover Penelope's medical bills. I'm now struggling to pay for food, mortgage, car and utilities. I have nothing left to cover her ongoing expenses.

I was looking to rescue, rehome or purchase a hound. While doing an extensive search online, I found Snoop! He was living on an Amish farm in Pennsylvania. I made the trek to Pennsylvania to bring Snoop to his forever home. When I arrived at the farm there was a family standing in front of the homestead holding Snoop! I knew immediately he was mine and I was his! Snoop's hound instinct led him into trouble on the evening of August, 24th. He ate compost on the farm where we live. The compost caused a life threatening symptoms! His temperature reached 108 accompanied by other life threatening symptoms. He had a 10% chance to live. He was hospitalized at the Burlington Emergency and Veterinary Specialists where treatment saved his life! Snoop lives up to his name! He is curious and inquisitive. Always snooping around! He has a soft and gentle demeanor and loves everyone he comes in contact with! He loves to snuggle and his naps. He loves his ears rubbed but most of all he loves our times together exploring the woods all over VT and NY. He is the best part of me. He thinks I rescued him but really he saved me... I live on my own and work full time as a caregiver. I pride myself in being very independent so putting this out there is completely out of my comfort zone but Snoop is all I have. He is my child and I will do whatever I can for him, he needs me and I need him even more!

Hello. Molly has been a part of my family since she was 8 weeks old. She is a happy, playful, smart, lovable and well behaved baby girl. She gets concerned if someone coughs and then has to give them kisses and check them over. She corrects her beagle brothers, when they are misbehaving. Always at her moms side. She visits her grandma every week to. She sleeps in bed with me. She likes to hunt bunnies and mice. She almost a champion bunny dog, but more of a home body. She suddenly became paralyzed in her rear 2 weeks ago. She’s keeping in check with her dr who referred her to a neurosurgeon. If she doesn’t get this done, she may become completely paralyzed. She can potty on her own and move her back legs some at this time. She is the best behaved beagle I’ve ever seen. That being said, she doesn’t take crap from her brothers and makes them listen to mom. She likes to play within toys and chase the boys sometimes. Likes to watch her daddy cook and sit with him during the day. She’s never had babies but loves helping with them and playing with them if she gets near any. Her veterinarian has referred her to a neurologist. We’re waiting for them to call and set the appointment for her. We travel an hour to see the regular vet. And the Pittsburg vet is two hours away. But all worth it, is they can fix her back up. I am on disability. Her daddy has a place about 15 minutes away & helps out some. We just lost 2 dogs around a year ago and one a year and a half ago. We spent around $400 a month on banshees meds for congestive heart failure. Then jasper got cancer in his spleen.

Smudge IS MY SON, we're inseperablrle. It's just me and him relying on each other He's been ill for 2 yrs, the vets are unable to find a diagnosis At his worst, going back and forth to vets daily for months I had 2 strokes. I still refused to leave his side. I promised I'd protect and never give up on him. His love has no conditions, neither does mine. He's admitted in the ICU tonight. Please! As I'm a disabled veteran, I have the privilege to be with him every moment of the day, and there isn't a minute we aren't together. Unless he is admitted, which hurts me more than you will ever know. Like tonight, the place is empty and lonely without my boy here. The hardest part is to watch him daily, and see the decline as it happens in real time, each flare up he has Smudge is a Chihuahua, they have a reputation. He is the most loving Chihuahua you'll ever meet, as many do. I carry him in my arms everywhere we go, he just lays on his back like a baby, as strangers all come up to say hi. He's the best friend anyone could hope for. Our bond is so close, he let's me know what he wants without saying a word. He knows he can count on his Smudge is in the ICU for bleeding in his stool. I hope this campaign will get him through this acute period, to allow for further testing to find the underlying root cause before its too late. I can never achieve the costlier tests as I'm fighting daily just to pay to treat his urgent needs and illnesses, leaving no financial room for the diagnostics required As stated, I'm a disabled veteran w/ TBI and 2 strokes, last yr. I can solely rely on VA disability. Just since the beginning of May ['23] his bills have totaled $3600 This admission will be another $2k. I've sold/pawned everything of value for his care Please Help

Nala was given to me by someone who said she couldn't keep her. We accepted her as the heavenly gift she is. Nala kept a tennis ball in her mouth constantly except for eating and drinking, for about 8 years. We have 3 other dogs in the household, and she loves them all and they love her. She has the name "Nala" because she looks like a lion cub. Nala has a tumor on her liver and needs a liver lobectomy. The prognosis is very good, and it is expected that she will go on with the rest of her life. This tumor has a very low chance of ever re-occurring. Nala felt abandoned by her previous owner and had severe emotional problems for some time after coming to us. My husband, now deceased, took her into his heart as his own child. The two of them were glued together. When he died, I have tried to be both Mommy and Daddy to her. When my husband died, we lost his income. I'm working, but this vet expense was not expected or planned for and is much more than expected. This is a very well-respected hospital and surgeon, and it is not expected to re-occur. Her life is very much worth saving.

Daniel's Journey: A Resilient Pup Overcoming Trauma and Severe Injuries with Love

Daniel came to us as an emergency medical plea from our local animal control. This poor pup was in severe pain and trauma, likely caused by being hit by a car. His body was covered in bruises, and we can't even begin to imagine the pain he endured. The extent of his injuries is severe, but his spirit remains unbroken. His injuries include multiple hip fractures, affecting bones in his pelvis. In addition to the broken bones, he has lost sensation in his right back leg because the sciatic nerve, crucial for feeling, has been damaged. Daniel's bladder was herniated, meaning it was pushed out of its normal position. Thankfully, he was able to see a vet at Southeastern Surgery Center, in Georgia. Daniel is truly special. Despite the pain and challenges he’s faced, his spirit shines bright. He’s incredibly affectionate and loves nothing more than being close to his foster family. Whether he’s curled up for a cuddle or soaking up attention, Daniel is happiest when he’s surrounded by love. Paws Humane Society in a private shelter that relies on donations to operate. The generous support of our community allows us to treat at-risk animals, but often we find ourselves still in need of emergency donations to treat serious medical cases like Daniel's.

Mia was a sweet rescue from a family that decided they didn’t want to mess with puppies after 4 weeks. She was way too young to be weaned, had a huge belly full of GIANT tapeworms, and a skin infection. But she was precious! And my daughter just had to rescue her. Mia didn’t get the best start in life, but it didn’t dampen her spirit! In 20 years of rescuing over a hundred dogs, I’ve never met such a little ball of love and excitement! She adores everyone- people, puppies, anyone who will give her love. She loves to cuddle, and also loves to play. And toe kisses! Goodness, she loves to kiss your toes! Mia is a natural athlete and bonded instantly with my Junior Olympic gymnast. She’s fiercely playful and fiercely cuddly, despite her current fever and health struggles. Nothing can keep this sweetheart from her people! What began as a few spots has rapidly worsened, she is so thin her skin wrinkles, & she has a fever. She was treated with an antibiotic at Emancipet, & been treated extensively for mange, which was ruled out.. Her severe worm infestation as such a young pup created immune challenges. She keeps passing the infection to our other furballs, but they heal quickly with topical treatment & she worsens. She & her adoptive siblings need to be seen at a full service vet in order to save her life and keep her siblings from reinfecting her. Finances are limited since my horseback accident, and we don’t want to lose such a sweetheart because of finances- the world needs Mia!
