Buster Brown

Buster Brown is a 10-year-old Mixed Breed Dog in Tarpon Springs , FL, who needs $545 for Hip Displacement.

Tarpon Springs, FL

Hi, My name is George and Buster is my best buddy for ten years. I took him to the veterinarian because he has been hobbling for a couple of months, she called and wanted to do more tests(x-ray) ECT. She proscribed pain meds with arthritic medications. It feels like his hip bone is sticking out. I am on a fixed income that does not allow me to afford more vet visit costs Buster is loved by everyone, he is like A Mayor in which he greets everyone with a wag and a paw except he is a politician everyone loves. I miss taking him for his daily run or walk as it is a chore for him to even stand up. He is loves from everyone in Illinois to now living here in Florida for six years. Buster Brown has just a wonderful personality, always happy up until recently. He does make me smile especially in the morning when coffee hasn't been sipped yet, and he's just excited to start the day even without a cup of Joe. Like most pets he loves his rear end scratched along with his belly. He's just a good old dog that I love. Buster's medical condition is not known until more tests are conducted. brought Buster in for a veterinarian visit for a diagnosis and there isn't a conclusive answer to his condition without further tests I am on a fixed income and living on Social security. Unfortunately I lost my son to cancer in October and had to travel out of state for the funeral which depleted my savings.

Stella

Stella is a 1-year-old English Bulldog in Monterey Park , CA, who needs $1,800 for Aspiration Pneumonia.

Monterey Park, CA

Stella was a gift, the greatest gift I could have ever received. She has been with me since February of this year, she has been the highlight of my year. She is my entire world, this year has thrown so much at me and having her by my side is all I could ever ask for and need. She’s helped me so much emotionally and keeps me doing everyday. Stella is such a playful and loving dog. She loves anybody who gives her attention, she loves being petted at all times. Tummy rubs are her absolute favorite, she loves to run around and play with my 2yr old niece. She receives everyone with a little dance when we walk through the front door, she gets so excited when people are around and lifts her paw onto your leg so she could get petted. You can feel Stella’s love and loves to be told I love you. I make sure to tell her everyday and fill her with kisses. She is absolutely spoiled with love, when we are showing love to my niece she quickly runs over and wants us to give her attention as well. My baby is barely starting her life, she just turned 1 and I still have so much love to give her. I need her as much as she still needs me. My babygirl received surgery due to a piece of corn she ate that got stuck in between her intestines. After surgery due to all the vomit that was clogged inside, it affected her lungs and now she’s suffering of aspiration pneumonia. This is very critical for bulldogs due to their breathing issues, so she is now under oxygen and taking several antibiotics. She is being treated by Dr.To. I am a college student working part time and I’m in desperate need to help my baby get through this terrible time. I don’t know what I would do if I lose her, I need my baby healthy again. It breaks my heart seeing her in pain, I just want her up and full of energy again.

Pirate

Pirate is a 2-month-old Mix Kitten in Salem, OR, who needs $500 for Enucleation.

Salem, OR

I found a kitten two days ago and put it on my neighbors window because I was positive it was theirs. I went over the next day to check to make sure it was actually theirs and they have three litters of kittens. This one was cuddling up next to another kitten and when he lifted his head his eye was leaking fluids out of its eye. His eye was also crusted over and had a little blood coming out. He is a joy to have around. He is in pain though. We have been keeping him comfortable with warm compresses and prescription eye drops and antibiotics. He has a healthy appetite. When I am home he clings to my side. His favorite spot is my should where he places his blind side against my face. He also likes to rest his nose on my cheek. Pirate is a big talker. He will respond to you when you are talking to him. He is a big love and so far all that have met him have fallen in love with him. He cuddles all the time. I'm hoping once he is out of pain we will see a different more playful side to him. Right now I think he is in too much pain Pirate has a hole in his left eye which is leaking fluids. He does not have sight in that eye. He has some ear mites also going on. Other than the eye and the ears he seems to be doing just well. Surgery is tomorrow to get his eye out. They will also be cleaning his ears at that time. I am a divorced single mom with a 6 years old. I am in the middle of switching jobs due to a complicated situation at the last job. It would mean the world to my family for pirate to be healthy.

Shadow

Shadow is a 15-year-old American Shorthair/Mix Cat in Niagara Falls, NY, who needs $2,000 for Diagnosis and Treatment.

Niagara Falls, NY

I got Shadow when I was ten or eleven years old. He has grown up with me in three different houses. At his advanced age he is starting to experience difficulty breathing and becoming more and more lethargic. I'm afraid his time is near, and I am left with very few painful choices. Let him pass away or come up with a large amount of money to for tests. Shadow is a huge part of our family. He has always been there for cuddles and companionship. But lately, his body has been failing him. And he has been unable to move around freely as much or groom himself like he used to. It is very painful to watch him progress closer and closer to death, and am just hoping I can do something for him. Whether it doing what's best, or taking care of him. Shadow is a very special cat. He is always there when he senses you are not feeling well. He paws at you until you pet him and he starts to purr. He makes a bad situation that much better, and unfortunately, he is facing a very bad situation himself. I am unable to support my living situation and taking care of him. It is destroying me inside, because he is one of my best friends, and I'm failing. Shadow has been experiencing breathing problems lately, wheezing and making very weird noises from his throat. He has been very lethargic, and lost a SIGNIFICANT amount of weight. He is still eating and drinking water, but a lot less than he used to. I am absolutely at a loss of what to do. I understand as cats age they slowly die, but I feel like if there's ANYTHING I can do I want to do it. My family is bottom middle class. All three household members work PART-TIME JOBS. Rent is over $1000 a month, and we have a 12 year old kid to take care of as well. Things are really tight, we try to hide it, sometimes not so well (power has been off a few times).

Boston Bean

Boston Bean is a 9-month-old Lab in Auburn, ME, who needs $1,900 for Foreign Object Removal.

Auburn, ME

Boston Bean came into our life when we realized we had more love to give 9 months ago. Beau our first pup was lonely and desperately wanted a friend. We saw someone online selling Boston Bean and we knew he was supposed to be apart of our family. We went and picked him up the next day. Boston was the runt of the litter and was extremely malnourished. Boston loves to CHEW. Anything he can get his paws on. He’s an avid swimmer and prefers lakes over swimming pools. He is always excited for nap time in mom and dads bed and will sleep on top of you if you let him. Boston snores like a freight train but we wouldn't have it any other way. His brother Beau and him love to play chase around our table and seem to forget how big they are Boston is special because he’s our wild child. He has a personality of the Tasmanian devil. He’s goofy, playful, loving, and REALLY likes to create holes in the backyard. We like to think it’s his art. His favorite toys are our daughters pacifiers. It’s really cute because he will suck on it like she does! Boston started having a cough 2 days ago. Knowing boston we thought he chewed some stuffed animal fur and thought nothing of it. He then began throwing up blood which terrified us. His cough has since gotten worse and continues to throw up blood. We believe he has something sharp stuck in his throat. My husband and I and three children just bought our dream home after being homeless for 2 years. As soon as we moved in within the first month we got laid off from our jobs. We have 0 money and are barely scraping by ourselves. Our animals are our family, our children.

Coal

Coal is a 13-year-old Pomeranian in Lancaster, SC, who needs $850 for Heartworm Treatment.

Lancaster, SC

Coal was a rescue when he was 3. I’ve had him for 9 years he’s helped me and my family through a lot. With his current heart worm condition I just don’t want his end of life journey to be hard on him. He has always been in good health and I’m sure with treatment he for sure has some good years left in him. It’s really disrupting his life with all the coughing when he really gets moving. Coal has been with us for 9 years both my sons 20 and 15 have been raised with him. We have 4 female dogs but he’s a lot older so he doesn’t play with them and he’s neutered so there is that. He’s just a sweet boy and loves anyone he meets. He very docile and gently and has always been a loyal companion. Before his coughing bouts got so bad he loved running in circles and at night playing on the bed and rubbing his head around. When he’s with you he loves to bark at you to get attention. He’s just a relaxed dog and makes people feel comfortable. He loves people but just ignores most other dogs but he loves to sit and watch a good tv show. I’m looking to cure his heart worms it’s gotten to the point he coughs almost anytime he moves he’s just very uncomfortable. He has been neutered at a young age and has been relatively healthy. He does have some joint issues especially with his back left leg which he hobbled around on. I just wanna get him treated so he can live well again. My wife works and I’m on SSI disability we take care of them all but this has became an emergency we also recently had to take one of our other dogs as she was very sick with an illness so between being a 4 family house it’s just been hard to get him any help.

Zeus

Zeus is a 2-year-old Rottweiler in Mont Clare, PA, who needs $1,500 for MRI to Rule Out Brain Tumor, Seizures, and Nerve Damage.

Mont Clare, PA

Zeus came into our life from my step-daughter. She lives in VA very close to NC. We adopted Zeus from her friend who rescued a female Rottweiler and she was pregnant and had 12 puppies. Our vacation was cancelled due to COVID so we drove to NC to get Zeus. We've had him since he was 5 weeks old. Zeus is a good boy! He and his sister Luna (golden retriever) sleep in our bedroom every night. He sleeps on a baby crib mattress. He loves to run around and torment Luna. They play tug of war a lot. Zeus likes to take the tennis balls from Luna just to make her and he goes and sits down with them. He can fit 3 in his mouth. Zeus is definitely food driven. He'll do almost anything for a dog treat! He has found a way to let himself out of the house by hitting the door handle, and right behind him is Luna. He hits at the door with his paw when he is ready to come in. He gets very excited when we have visitors. Zeus sits at the top of our driveway looking down the road like he is the sheriff protecting the neighbors Zeus developed trigeminal neuritis (dropped-Jaw) about 4 months ago. He did not fully recover. He is experiencing gulping and coughing, vomiting, pacing and drooling, and panting a couple of times a day for about 3-5 minutes each episode. His right eye is also becoming cloudy. He needs an MRI to rule out a brain tumor, seizures, and nerve damage. This is a very unexpected major expense for us. I work, my husband is retired and just had shoulder replacement. The MRI will cot $4500 and I was approved for 2500 through CareCredit credit card. Any little bit will help.

Xena

Xena is a 5-year-old Mixed Breed in Port Charlotte, FL, who needs $1,100 for Bladder Stone Removal.

Port Charlotte, FL

I adopted Xena after Hurricane Irma 5 years ago. She was in a shelter and I saw her picture and fell in love. My dog Shana passed away in Hurricane Irma so I adopted Xena. Xena lives with me in my house and I also adopted another puppy named Gabrielle from the same pound to keep her company. I love them so much. They are inseparable. They are always together. Joined at the hip as they say. Xena loves being outdoors. I have a huge fenced in back yard, and Xena and my other dog Gabrielle (names were derived from a science fiction series called Xena Princess Warrior. Gabrielle was Xena Princess Warriors sidekick). Xena and Gabrielle love playing out in the back yard and running around. My 18 year old grandson lives with me and he adores both of my dogs and spoils them. Xena is very friendly and loves attention and being petted. She is very well behaved and if I ask her to do something or not do something, she obeys me. When strangers come to the door she wags her tail and looks to be patted. Definitely I do not think of her as a watch dog, she is too friendly and would probably just wag at an intruder and want to be patted. She is a people dog all the way. Xena has a large bladder stone and when she urinates the stone perforates her bladder and she urinates blood. She needs surgery to remove the stone so her bladder can heal. Due to Hurricane Ian unforeseen hurricane related expenses, I do not the money to pay for her surgery now. I am financially strapped, I live on Social Security and SSI disability which is not much money. I maxed out my credit card and savings with hurricane Ian related living expenses. The Xena started to be in pain and urinating blood, and her vet says she needs this operation
