Abandoned at Only Hours Old: Help Two Newborn Puppies Thrive

Walker, LA • Rescue Rehome Repeat

On the evening of June 23, 2026, two newborn puppies were found abandoned at a local construction site in South Louisiana. When they were discovered around 5:00 p.m., the tiny puppies were suffering from heat exposure. They were hot to the touch, had dry mucous membranes, and were completely alone. Their umbilical cords were still attached, indicating they were only hours old. The finder immediately moved the puppies into an air-conditioned vehicle and gently applied cool water to their bodies and mouths before transporting them to Crossroads Animal Hospital for emergency evaluation. Veterinary staff confirmed that the puppies, one male and one female, had no cleft palates, demonstrated strong mobility and appropriate neonatal reflexes, and showed no obvious congenital abnormalities during their initial examination. Since entering the care of Rescue Rehome Repeat of South Louisiana, both puppies have been receiving regular feedings of canned neonatal formula and around-the-clock monitoring. They are eating well and continuing to show appropriate strength and activity for their age. Although these little fighters are off to a promising start, the next several weeks will be critical. Orphaned newborn puppies require constant care, frequent feedings, careful monitoring, and ongoing veterinary support to give them the best chance at survival. Your donation will help provide neonatal formula, veterinary care, medical supplies, and the around-the-clock support these two puppies need as they continue to grow stronger each day. Thank you for helping Rescue Rehome Repeat of South Louisiana give these tiny puppies the chance to survive and thrive. 7/23/26 Update: The Tiny Puppies Are Getting Stronger There is an encouraging update to share about the two newborn puppies who were found abandoned with their umbilical cords still attached. These tiny babies continue to thrive in their foster home, where they are receiving around-the-clock care and regular bottle feedings to help them grow stronger each day. Although they have made wonderful progress since being rescued, orphaned newborn puppies require constant attention, specialized nutrition, and ongoing care during these critical first weeks of life. Donations continue to help provide neonatal formula, medical supplies, veterinary care, and the everyday essentials these puppies need as they continue their journey. Thank you for supporting Rescue Rehome Repeat of South Louisiana and helping give these little ones the opportunity to grow, heal, and thrive.

Cece Escaped the Euthanasia List, but Her Fight Isn’t Over

Carlsbad, CA • Super B Foundation

This sweet 2-year-old Terrier mix was on the euthanasia list alongside her sister, Theodora. After surviving life as a stray, Cece and her sister were only hours away from losing their lives in an overcrowded high-kill shelter in southern California. Super B Foundation refused to let Cece and her sister become another heartbreaking statistic, pulling them to safety just in time. But while Cece escaped euthanasia, her fight is far from over. When Cece arrived in rescue, the extent of her injuries became clear. She had scabbed-over wounds across her neck and the top of her head, likely from an older dog attack. She already had a painful infection on the right side of her face that required immediate medical treatment, cleaning, and medication. At the shelter, Cece developed kennel cough and is now battling a persistent upper respiratory infection. On top of everything else, there is concern that Cece—and possibly her sister—may be pregnant. While Theodora is scheduled to be spayed, Cece must first recover from her illness before she can safely undergo surgery. After everything she has survived, Cece deserves the chance to start her journey on the road to recovery. Your donation will help provide: Veterinary exams to diagnose her head and ear wounds Treatment for kennel cough and her respiratory infection Diagnostic testing and pregnancy evaluation Her spay surgery once she is healthy enough Follow-up veterinary care if needed so she can continue healing Because Super B Foundation said yes, Cece was given a second chance at life. Now she needs our help to make that second chance count. If you watch the videos, you'll witness two completely different moments in Cece's life: one where she is facing euthanasia, and another where Super B Foundation gives her the second chance she almost never had.

After Escaping a Painful Past, Buddy Now Faces the Fight of His Life

Wakefield, MA • Paws 4 A Cure

Buddy has already overcome so much in his eight years of life. Now, this sweet German Shepherd-Golden Retriever mix is facing another heartbreaking challenge—one he can't overcome without your help. When Buddy was rescued at just 18 months old, he was terrified of men and fearful of the world around him. He even had unexplained fresh stitches, leading his mom to believe he had suffered abuse before they found each other. With patience, love, and time, Buddy slowly learned to trust again. Today, he's a gentle, affectionate companion who has become a beloved member of his senior apartment community, making friends wherever he goes. His mom says they rescued each other. Earlier this year, she noticed a lump growing on Buddy's right front leg. After a veterinary examination, the devastating diagnosis came back: soft tissue sarcoma, a cancerous tumor that will continue to grow if left untreated. To give Buddy the best chance at a long, comfortable life, his veterinarian has recommended surgery to remove both the tumor and the surrounding tissue to reduce the risk of it returning. His surgery is scheduled for August 21, and every day counts. Buddy's mom is a low-income senior living on a fixed income. She has already sacrificed what she could, paying $300 out of her own pocket to secure Buddy's surgery date. Thanks to the generosity of Paws 4 A Cure, a $400 grant has been awarded toward Buddy's care. Another organization has also pledged support, but there is still $1,350 needed before Buddy can receive the lifesaving surgery he urgently needs. Buddy's surgery is estimated to cost $2,679, which includes the specialized care needed to safely remove his cancerous tumor. Your donation helps cover expenses such as: Surgical removal of Buddy's soft tissue sarcoma General anesthesia and surgical monitoring Pain management before and after surgery Surgical supplies and sterile equipment Hospitalization and recovery care Post-operative medications and follow-up treatment Every dollar brings Buddy one step closer to a cancer-free future. Buddy has already proven that love can heal emotional wounds. Now he needs compassionate supporters to help heal his physical ones. Your tax-deductible donation will help ensure this resilient boy can undergo the surgery he desperately needs and continue enjoying the life he fought so hard to find. If you're unable to donate today, sharing Buddy's fundraiser with friends and family is another meaningful way to help. Thank you for standing beside Buddy, his devoted mom, and Paws 4 A Cure. Together, we can give this incredible survivor the second chance he deserves.
