Nieves

Nieves is a 8 year old Chihuahua in Fort Collins, , CO, who needs $600 for emergency care.

Fort Collins,, CO • Amici Cannis

Nieves is an 8-year-old rescue dog who has already overcome so much in her life. Today, she is fighting to recover from a terrifying attack that no dog should ever have to endure. Nieves lives in Cotacachi, Ecuador, with her devoted guardian, who loves and cares deeply for his dogs. This morning, what began as a peaceful day quickly turned into a nightmare. While Nieves and another dog were relaxing together in their yard, an unknown dog suddenly entered the property and viciously attacked them without warning. Both dogs suffered serious injuries. In the chaos, the second dog ran away in fear and has not yet been found. Nieves was immediately rushed to Amici Cannis Hospital, where the veterinary team worked quickly to stabilize her. Under anesthesia, her wounds were thoroughly cleaned, carefully examined, and sutured to reduce the risk of infection and give her the best chance at healing. While Nieves is now recovering under veterinary care, she still has a long road ahead. She will need pain management, medications, follow-up examinations, and continued monitoring to ensure her injuries heal properly and that complications do not arise. For Nieves' guardian, this emergency came without warning. Like so many loving pet owners, he never expected to face such a devastating and costly veterinary crisis. Although he is committed to doing everything he can for Nieves, the unexpected expense of emergency treatment is simply beyond his financial means. No family should have to choose between financial hardship and lifesaving veterinary care for a beloved companion. Your donation will help cover Nieves' emergency treatment, wound care, medications, follow-up visits, and recovery. Every contribution, no matter the size, helps relieve the burden on her guardian and gives Nieves the opportunity to heal without unnecessary suffering. Please consider donating today. If you're unable to give, sharing Nieves' story can help her reach others who are willing to stand beside her during this difficult time. After surviving this frightening attack, Nieves deserves the chance to recover safely, surrounded by the love of the family who cherishes her.

Dahlia

Dahlia is a 11 month old Mix-Breed in Greenfield, IN, who needs $3,200 for Amputation.

Greenfield, IN

We adopted our puppy Dahlia when she was just 8 weeks old after meeting her at a local festival. Since then, she's been a cherished member of our family, growing up in a loving home surrounded by people who adore her. She also has a furry "big sister" in our other dog, and the two have formed a close bond. She also loves to run and play with our 4 children at home, and has bonded with our oldest. A few months ago, Dahlia climbed onto a plastic playhouse in our backyard and slipped, falling onto the concrete below. At Veterinary Specialty & Emergency Care at Noah's Animal Hospital, we learned she had suffered a severe fracture near her hip. Her veterinarian recommended amputation as the best option for a healthy, pain-free future, and she's been thriving ever since. Dahlia is deeply bonded with our oldest son, who also has a prescribed ESA, and the two are inseparable. She loves fetch, car rides, walks, cuddling in our laps, and has learned numerous commands. Her favorite greeting is running toward you with an adorable bunny hop, convinced she's about to climb into your lap. She fills our home with joy every single day. Dahlia's surgery came unexpectedly, and despite careful planning, the cost has placed a significant financial strain on our family. Your support would help ease that burden and allow us to focus on giving her the best, full, pain-free life possible.

Ollie's Medical Mystery Can't Wait

La Mesa, CA • The Animal Pad

Tomorrow marks one year since Ollie arrived at The Animal Pad from the ESLR hoarding case- a heartbreaking situation where a fake rescue in Ensenada, MX posed as an organization helping dogs while hoarding animals and pocketing donations instead of providing care. After everything he’s survived, we never imagined he’d be fighting another battle so soon. In the middle of the night, Ollie suddenly began vomiting and became extremely lethargic. We rushed him to the emergency hospital, where initial bloodwork revealed dangerously low platelets. While we monitored him closely, his condition worsened the following day when he began urinating blood, prompting immediate hospitalization. For the past three days, Ollie has undergone extensive diagnostics, including an ultrasound, specialized bloodwork, and continuous supportive care. His kidneys are now showing signs of distress, and the ultrasound revealed gastritis, a thickened bladder, and a small mass on his liver. At this time, the liver mass is not believed to be the primary concern, but we are still searching for answers. This morning finally brought a bit of hope. Ollie is eating again, his vomiting has stopped, and he’s wagging his tail despite everything he’s been through. He was severely dehydrated and drinking excessive amounts of water, but we’re hopeful he’ll be well enough to return home today while we await the results of advanced testing to determine what’s causing these serious symptoms. Ollie has overcome unimaginable hardship once before, and now he needs our community to help him through this next chapter. His medical bills continue to grow with every test, specialist, and day of hospitalization. 7/24/26 Update We have a hopeful update on Ollie! After a very scary medical emergency and hospitalization, Ollie is doing much better. His veterinary team believes this was an acute episode, and we're relieved to share that his blood work has returned to normal. He's feeling more like himself again, his energy has improved, and everyone caring for him is encouraged by the progress he's made. While this is wonderful news, Ollie isn't out of the woods just yet. His recovery is still ongoing, and his veterinary team will continue to monitor him closely to make sure his condition remains stable. After everything he's been through, we're taking things one day at a time and staying hopeful that this improvement continues. Although Ollie is back home and feeling better, the cost of the emergency care that helped save his life remains. Those veterinary bills don't disappear just because he's improving, and we're still working to cover the cost of his hospitalization, diagnostics, and treatment. If you're able, please consider making a donation to help with Ollie's medical expenses. Every contribution, no matter the size, helps ensure rescues like ours can continue saying "yes" when animals like Ollie need lifesaving care. Thank you to everyone who has donated, shared his story, and kept Ollie in your thoughts. Your support has made this progress possible, and we'll continue to share updates as he recovers. 8/12/26 Update We have another encouraging update on Ollie! Ollie is back home with his foster and continuing to recover after his frightening medical emergency. His kidney values have improved substantially, although they haven’t completely returned to where his veterinary team would like them to be just yet. In the coming weeks, Ollie will see an internal medicine specialist and have additional testing, including a repeat CBC and tick PCR. His veterinary team believes his illness may have been caused by a possible Ehrlichia flare up, and these next tests will hopefully provide more answers. The follow up testing will also help determine whether the changes in Ollie’s kidney values were temporary or if there is an underlying kidney issue that will require continued care. For now, we’re so grateful that Ollie is home and doing better. The Animal Pad will continue to make sure he receives the specialized care and follow up he needs, and we’ll share another update once we know more from his upcoming visit. Thank you to everyone who has donated and supported Ollie throughout his recovery so far. Your generosity is helping make every step of his care possible.

Maple Anne

Half of Maple Anne's tongue fell out of her mouth. Please give her a second chance!

Murphy, TX • CAMO Rescue

She deserved more than to be given up on. This sweet senior girl, now named Maple Anne, was found huddled outside the door of a public works office and taken to Missouri City Animal Shelter. When shelter staff told CAMO Rescue she wasn't eating, they knew they had to give her a chance. As they prepared her for transport, an animal control officer took one more look and made a heartbreaking discovery. Her tongue was necrotic, and when they gently opened her mouth, a large piece of it detached. They asked if they should euthanize her. CAMO immediately said no. She deserves the opportunity to be evaluated, to have her pain treated, and to know that someone is willing to fight for her. She's now on her way to their veterinarian, where they'll learn what's causing this devastating condition and whether treatment is possible. They don't know what the outcome will be, but they couldn't let her story end without trying. CAMO Rescue is asking for your help to give this sweet girl the second chance she deserves. Your donation will help cover her emergency examination, diagnostics, pain management, and any treatment that may be available. Every dollar helps them continue saying "yes" to animals like Maple Anne, even when the road ahead is uncertain. Please consider donating today. Together, we can make sure this gentle soul knows compassion, comfort, and love—no matter what tomorrow brings. 7/16/26 Update The vet for CAMO Rescue is removing the necrotic part of her tongue today. Please support her in this awful situation.

Help Zoe Find Relief From Frightening Seizure-Like Episodes

Issaquah, WA • Pacific Rim Rescue

Zoe's world changed overnight. At just 3 years old, this sweet French Bulldog began experiencing frightening seizure-like episodes that left her owner fearing the worst. Having seen the devastating effects of Intervertebral Disc Disease (IVDD) in French Bulldogs before, they knew Zoe would likely need extensive diagnostics and specialized medical care that they simply could not afford. Wanting Zoe to have the best chance possible, they made the heartbreaking decision to surrender her to Pacific Rim Rescue. From the moment Zoe arrived, the rescue acted quickly. An urgent veterinary visit led to an emergency referral to a neurologist, and this week Zoe underwent an extensive neurological workup, including advanced imaging, at Summit Veterinary Referral Center. The news brought both relief and new challenges. The MRI confirmed that Zoe is not suffering from Intervertebral Disc Disease (IVDD), as originally feared. Instead, veterinarians discovered severe infections and debris deep within both of her middle ears—painful conditions that may be responsible for the neurological symptoms she has been experiencing. Additional radiology results and a spinal tap are still pending to determine whether the infection has spread to the tissues surrounding her brain or whether the pressure from the infection alone is causing her seizure-like episodes. Zoe's journey isn't over. Her next step was an appointment with a veterinary dermatologist, who will attempt to scope and flush her middle ears. If that isn't enough to resolve the problem, Zoe will need surgery. Zoe is scheduled for the Otoscopy in August. Through every test and every appointment, Zoe has continued to fight, and bring joy with her sunny disposition and desire to be with her humans and canine foster siblings. Pacific Rim Rescue is committed to giving her every chance to recover, but the cost of advanced diagnostics, specialist care, and potential surgery is significant. Your donation will help cover Zoe's neurological workup, specialist appointments, ongoing diagnostics, and any treatments she needs to finally find relief from the pain she has been living with. Every gift, no matter the size, helps bring Zoe one step closer to healing—and the happy, comfortable life every dog deserves.
