Otis has been my best friend for 10 years. They say there's a special bond with the dog you get in your 20s, and that's 100% true for me and Otis. He's seen me through college, my first apartment, my first "big girl" job, marriage, and now, hopefully, my first baby. Otis is a gentle giant with the goofiest personality who loves to snuggle despite being 100lbs. Recently, we noticed he had stopped putting weight on his back right leg and eventually it began to swell. What we thought may have been a sprain from running in the yard, unfortunately, looks to be osteosarcoma. The vet gave us two options for next steps: amputate and send off the biopsy to be sure, then follow with chemo, or put our sweet boy to sleep. We are not ready to give up on him! He makes our family whole, and we believe he still has some good years left in him. He still barks at the mail man, he still likes to swim (although not as well), he even still tries to get into the trash. We want to give him the best possible shot at living a long life. Like many, times are very tough for us right now. My husband and I are living off one income and barely scraping by as it is. And here, very shortly, we will have another mouth to feed.. I am actually 39 weeks and 4 days pregnant with our first son.

Help Opie get Leg Amputation — Front Royal, VA

Opie came to us by accident, one of our cats escaped and came back pregnant. Opie was born here, and then his mom was immediately spayed when she could be. So Opie has been here since the day he was born. He is the most loving cat i’ve ever come into contact with, he gets angry if you don’t continue petting him. He is genuinely the light of our house, with his personality and the love he gives. Opie was attacked by 2 pit bulls 1 week ago. We were able to get his exploratory surgery and everything he needed to recover. but what we weren’t told was that Opies leg would go dead, and it would need emergency amputation. If Opie can’t get emergency amputation he will succumb to his injuries, which is my biggest nightmare. Opies recovery matters because he deserves a chance to fight. I think the vets failed him by not amputating his leg sooner. He’s put up such a battle, he deserves the chance to fight more. This was an absolute freak situation that never should’ve happened. He was attacked randomly by strangers dogs. We paid for his initial vet visit and surgery, but he needs more assistance to survive and live the life he deserves.

Star is my fluffy baby, hes super sweet and sassy like a little toddler, he helps with my anxiety and always makes me laugh. We got him from a yard where they didnt take care of him well he had a abscess and was very thin but we got him back to health He has an awful underbite and we already have to trim his teeth every 3 or 4 months But a bet solution is to remove his front incisors and he will be able to be happy and comfortable I hang out with him every day he'll stay in his enclosed area running around and booping me, going on walks, or just watching a movie together. I would be heart broken without him, the house would feel empty and sad wirh him making me smile We have a good amount of money, were not poor, but it will be hard to save up so much money, i want to go to college and dont want to decide between his health and my dreams because he would always be first.

Mya came into my life when I met my wife about a year and a half ago. Believe it or not, my wife and I got married just three weeks after we first met! Life has been absolutely amazing ever since, and one of the greatest parts has been getting to have Mya in my life. Mya is a Goldendoodle. She’s incredibly affectionate and is always wanting to be held and cuddled close. Mya suddenly began trembling and was unable to walk. We rushed her to VEG ER, where they suspected a toxin. After several days, we were referred to SAVE in Asheville, where she was diagnosed with meningoencephalitis. After chemotherapy treatment and a week in the hospital, Mya is finally home. She’s not 100%, but we’re grateful to have her back. Mya is such a huge part of our family and our kids’ lives. She always knows how to put a smile on everyone’s face—even when she’s being sneaky and stealing food off the kitchen counter, lol! She brings so much love, joy, and laughter into our home. ❤️🐾 Mya’s medical expenses, which have already reached nearly $10,000 between the 2 hospitals. Thankfully, our Nana let us use her credit card because we simply didn’t have that kind of money available. Chemotherapy treatments every 3 weeks that is even more ongoing expenses.

Help Cooper get dental surgery and lab work — Olathe, KS

Copper came into my life about 3 years ago when I got married. My husband has cancer and Cooper was my husband constant companion, and mine he's helped him and I get through 36 months of cancer treatment. He is in remission now but still provides companionship, comfort to both of us. He is our emotional support animal, he's patient and very calming to both of us. I am a diabetic and Cooper lets me know when my sugar is high or low. I wear a monitor and when it beeps, he comes and gets me and alerts and has woken me up many times when it was. too low and way to high. I don't know what we would do without him. Cooper was having trouble eating, and we give him soft food, but his mouth hurts bad at times he won't eat. He rubs his mouth up against the furniture and paws ant his face and mouth. he pants excessively due to the stress he under and his mouth hurting. We took him to pet resources in Kansas City, and they said he needed dental surgery. They estimated with labs and anesthetics, removal of teeth it would an estimate of $650. They said if his teeth did not get removed it would lead to infection and would kill him. If he doesn't get the teeth removed, it will lead to infection and cost him his life. Cooper means everything to both of us. He is our emotional support animal and helps with my diabetes and anxiety, and depression. Cooper been with my husband Chris through his diagnosis treatment and recovery all the way. When Chris lost his last wife through breast cancer before I met him Cooper was his savior through all of Chris trials and not wanting to live on in life. When I met Cooper, he was so loving, calm and made me feel welcome he's the best dog I ever owned. Chris and I are both up in age with medical issues and Cooper gets us through each day he brings companionship, peace and medical help to both of us. we dont know what we do without him. We are both on social security disability and on a very limited income. When we pay all of our living costs, we don't have much money left. Plus, we are having to pay my husband cancer treatment costs of medical scans every 3 months of lab work to see if cancer has spread to any of his body parts like the brain, chest and abdomen, lymph nodes. etc. Insurance pays for some but copayments and out of pocket expenses have left us behind on payments to them. I have medical costs and meds for my diabetes and other medical issues I have and recently had foot surgery. we just don't have the money to pay Pet resources for the dental surgery

Pebbles & Bam Bam

Pebbles and Bam Bam were dumped in a crate behind a Dollar General and possibly left outside for DAYS.

Pebbles and Bam Bam were severely neglected, painfully matted, emaciated, covered in fleas, sores and blood. Hundreds of roaches had even infested the crate. They were terrified, filthy, and in so much pain that even being touched hurt. Luckily, Joyner's Furr-eedom Rescue saved them from being outside a Dollar General story for what they think was days. Then came Squeaky Clean Dog Grooming. ❤️ They didn't hesitate. They took these two sweet, bonded babies in and got to work—and the transformation is incredible. Just look at them now. 🥹 Two beautiful dogs who can finally feel clean, comfortable, safe, and loved. But their journey isn't over. Fluff is only 3 years old, but she had already been given up on. After being surrendered to a shelter, Fluff was placed on the euthanasia list just days later. Her condition was described as severe, and she was facing an unimaginable fate simply because she needed medical care. Fluff sat quietly beside her little stuffed toy, looking so scared and alone. Hundreds of people shared her story, hoping someone would step up. Thankfully, CAMO Rescue did. Fluff was rescued today and is finally safe. ❤️ But now, her medical journey begins. Fluff’s former owner reported possible kidney or bladder stones, incontinence issues, severe dental problems, and significant hair loss. She has a veterinary appointment tomorrow to determine what is wrong and what treatment she needs. At the shelter, Fluff was understandably frightened. She backed away from staff with wide, fearful eyes and tried to avoid the leash. But once she was safely leashed, she walked outside and stayed close to the people caring for her. She may be scared right now, but she is safe—and she has people fighting for her. Now we need your help to give Fluff the medical care she desperately needs. Bucky came into our lives when his previous family could no longer keep him. Our groomer helped bring him to us, and we knew he was meant to be ours. In just 1½ years, this sweet 10-year-old Shih Tzu has become our little shadow, our joy, and the king of our home. We can't imagine our lives without him. ❤️🐾 Bucky has three large, rapidly growing tumors around his tushie and beneath his tail. Two are pressing against his rectum, making it difficult for him to have bowel movements. He urgently needs surgery to remove them and determine whether they are cancerous. We are doing everything we can to get our precious boy the care he needs. ❤️🐾 Bucky is so much more than a pet—he is family, my constant companion, and a little piece of my heart. He has brought us so much love and happiness in the short time he’s been ours. I desperately want him to have the chance to heal, because the thought of losing him is heartbreaking. His recovery means everything to me. ❤️🐾 We’re turning to our community because Bucky’s surgery and care are more than we can afford on our own. Gus came into my life at about two weeks old mom had bonded him and his sister covered in ants. I wasn’t able to save his sister she psssed two days after but I took the little fellow and bottle fed him all hours of the night because good lawd does he eat and now he is glued at my hip he does everything I do I’m a huge animal lover and he has stole my heart I just want him to feel better and get back to his spunky kitten side. He’s having a lot of problems he can’t hold his bowel so he’s constantly going to the bathroom all over everything I constantly change his little bed out wash his behind and feed him even doing pedialyte and I just wanna get him to the vet as soon as possible to see what’s going on with my Gus. I have read that it good be parasites, worms, or even just a gut or colon problem and I wanna get him the proper treatment he needs to feel better just financially it’s tough. I plan on using Mitchell county animal clinic in Camilla ga as soon as I’m able to get him there I’m going. Oh the bond is so unreal the way he took to me he literally will sleep in my arms like a baby and he thinks when he’s ready to eat that he should get in my face with his mouth wide open screaming at me lol. He has become part of the family first day I had him and he doesn’t think he’s a cat at all you would swear he’s a tiny human Times are just difficult right now which I think it is this way for eveyone i mean we don’t even have cell phones right now and thats about unheard of these days for people but with a little help from waggle I know we could get him feeling better and I would definetely pay it forward I know how difficult it is to run a household and when these expenses come up it’s truly heartbreaking if you can’t do what you need to because of struggling financially
