Adopted 10 years ago from Lost Dog Rescue, Daisy is a 54lb mixed breed living in Silver Spring, MD, with me, my two teen daughters, and two other rescue dogs. She is a beloved family member and emotional support. Due to severe bilateral pelvic malformations and a narrowed canal, she has lost significant mobility. We live in a home where she is now on strict floor-level activity restriction. Daisy has significant bilateral pelvic malformation and a narrowed pelvic canal causing chronic pain and mobility loss. After a high-dose course of Carprofen and Gabapentin, she still suffers from breakthrough pain. We are seeking an orthopedic specialist consultation and CT imaging for surgical planning at Animal Place Veterinary Hospital with Dr. Pathipati to save her quality of life. Daisy is the heart of our home. She’s never met a soul she didn’t love. She wagged her way into our lives 10 years ago and has been our constant through every family loss. She was my "physical therapist" after my TBI, patiently helping me learn to walk again. She’s an "Alpha Mom" to our younger rescues and the light of my daughters’ lives. To know Daisy is to be loved by her. A June job loss from a govt role left my single-income family in crisis. Raising 2 teens, I’ve exhausted my savings on Daisy’s initial care. Having her healthy means restoring the "heart" of our home and returning the favor to the dog who helped me walk after my TBI.

Sonny come to us when he was rescued from a person who was making him fight his sister and mother for food. He was severely malnourished. We thought he was three months old at the time but the vet guessed his age at 6 months and his growth was stunted due to the malnutrition. I intended to only keep him to get him healthy but he weaseled his way into my heart. Sonny tore his ACL. The vet said it was not a traumatic injury. He dis say if untreated he could tear the other one though. Sonny will be getting his surgery at Veterinary orthopedic and mobile center of St Augustine. Sonny is a goofy boy. He is the most affectionate love bug. He is best friends with my cats but doesn't really care for other dogs. He loves hunting lizards. Since he came to live with me he either laid behind me or in my lap so he still thinks he's a lap dog at 50lbs. He loves blankies and kisses. All Sonny wants is to be loved. I am on disability retirement from a work injury so my income is super limited. I will never let my dog suffer. I will use care credit to do the surgery a.s.a.p. but hope I can get some financial assistance.

Bruiser came into our lives a couple months ago he's given us so much joy he was a early christmas present for my 7 year old daughter we have other dogs and they all love to play he also loves to play with the cats Bruiser has a liver shunt and needs surgery ASAP he has seizures alot one day he had 8 a couple days later he had 12 he's on medicine right now but he still has 2 or more every couple days it's very heartbreaking to watch and he's so full of life We love him so much he's our little baby he goes everywhere with us he follows us everywhere we go he's so adorable everyone who gets the chance to meet him instantly falls in love with him I'm a single mother i work full time and I help my mom whenever I can who's in a wheelchair from having a stroke a couple years ago she's been in and out of the hospital and nursing home for the past 2 years I just want bruiser to be able to live a full happy life

I found my Breezy when he was 3 weeks old in a card board box in Harrisburg sheetz bathroom. Ive raised this boy since! He is the love of my life. Breezy is a family dog who is loved very much. He is up to date on shots and fixed. Recently I found a bump on his left leg I took him to the vet and that time she said it should go away. 2 weeks later its not bigger and bright red. Breezy has been a very healthy pup no problems he is up to date on shots and also fixed. This boy is a family dog and very loved. Rosewood is the vet. Breezy is a good boy! He might be a pitbull but he js a sissy! He loves everyone. He lives with 2 other pitbulls and a 5 year old. Our hearts are broke Recently my husband was hurt in a work related accident. I purchased Zoey the year I could afford her. She is my first dog I ever had so she quickly became family. She was pure white when she was younger, like a white shepherd. We all fell in love quickly. I never had a problem with Zoey. Not even one accident in the house to this day. She’s been trained, She is my baby. However she is sick now with Pyometra, needs a hysterectomy for $1600.00. Thank you Zoey’s sickness, Pyometra, can be cured with surgery and hopefully a quick recovery. She is currently full of infection at the moment which is why the hysterectomy is needed. Dr Kristie Ellis at Millcreek Animal Hospital is her normal vet since day one. Zoey was trained at a young age. She’s never had one accident in the house to this day. She loves everyone who will rub her belly and give her attention. She wakes me every morning when it’s time for her morning treats and go outside. I love having her wake me and it breaks my heart to think that it could be coming to an end soon if I cannot get her help. I can’t fail my dog, watching her suffer. I became unemployed back on December 10th ‘25. I am a certified RV Technician which has always helped me secure a job. Moneys been tight for the last two months, now this happens. Mom always said God only gives us what we can handle. I don’t believe I can handle losing her.

On 10-18-2025, my 15 years of age pitbull, I'd had since he was 6 weeks old, passed. Thankfully I retired in March 2025, allowing me to spend approximately 8 uninterrupted joyful months with him and to provide end of life care, smothering him with hugs, kisses, and love. One night while sitting and crying over the loss, and scrolling through adoptapet.com, I came across Pepper. I adopted Pepper on 1-18-2026, took her to an unfamiliar Vet on 1-21-2026 whom advised me that she has a heart murmur. Concerned with the diagnosis, I took her to the Vet Hospital I previously used, for a second opinion. Her heart murmur was confirmed, stated as being loud and concerning, requiring an examination and/or treatment by a cardiologist. Sage Vet Center in Concord CA was contacted. When scrolling through adoptapet.com website I was not sure if I was ready to be a pet mom to another fur baby just yet, because I was still hurting over my last. But when I came across Peppers pic my heart melted, it was her eyes. When I met her, I had to hold back tears. She came to me and never left my side. When we got home, it was like she'd always been with me, I was meant to be her mom. In order to determine cause of the heart murmur, and/or potential severity, the cost will be $1268 for a cardiologist exam, unaffordable on a fixed income but she's the sweetest, most loving, girl ever and deserves the best chance at a wonderful life. I absolutely love her.

When I got Charlie he was so small. He was 8 weeks old and he was sick. I found out he had Parvo. I took him home and did inpatient care with Iv and meds 24/7. He miraculously healed! I have had him for 9 years. I have been through a lot in life while I have had him and he’s been just a huge blessing and comfort. I am the most attached to this dog. He loves dog daycare and the dog park. About a month ago I noticed Charlie smacking his lips quite a bit. I wasn’t sure what it was. Two weeks later his breath started to smell like a dead animal. I took him to the vet and they are not sure if it is a blockage or liver disease. The vet needs to do X-rays and bloodwork. The vet is Columbia River Vet ER hospital Everyone loves Charlie! At his daycare, they want to clone him because he is so amazing. He loves to play catch, swim, run on the beach and he even will hang out and watch a movie with me. He loves grandma and grandpa and my son. I have had many animals in my past but there is just something special about this dog. I get paid in two weeks, but Charlie cannot wait that long. If I can get the help here, I will donate it back once I get paid. My son moved out a few years ago and Charlie is all that I have now. I don’t know what I would do without him and I don’t want to think about that.

Frankie is a 6 yr old Pomsky who is the sweetest little girl. I adopted her and her sister/littermate when they were a few months old. They are the most lovable babies you could ever ask for. Frankie loves to be cuddled and loved. She is a quiet little girl who lets her sister take the lead. She has brought so much love and joy to my life. Frankie was admitted to Red Bank Anim Hospital on 1/30/26. It has been discovered that she is diabetic and her condition is serious. On top of this she has pancreatitis and pain in her abdomen & back. I am hoping for her to be discharged ASAP and concerned with the care that she will need upon that transfer. Currently, I am facing a $11,000 bill to get her home. Then will need to pay for the in Every person experiences challenges in life. Personally, I lost both parents within 10 months of each other. My little girl Frankie was by my side and would not leave me. Between the kisses, cuddles, and affection, im not sure how I would've been able to deal w my losses without her. She is a lover and loves to be loved. I am on a fixed income (retired) and am facing the costs of prescription food, insulin, dr visits, bloodword, and emergency visits (if needed). Frankies sister is also diabetic and I can barely afford these needs with her. I do not know how it will handle the expenses
