Dipper had a rough start to life, at 5 weeks old he came to the shelter with his 4 sisters all of which ended up having parvo. From the start he was a fighter and he survived. I have been part of his life from the beginning, where he won my heart over. He is a sweet, curious, energetic velcro dog. He wants nothing more than to be with you at all times. Dipper has a bowel obstruction and needs surgery. We went to Capital District Veterinary Referral Hospital. After spending clise to $1600 for the emergency visit, they now want more than $9000 to do the surgery and will not proceeduntil they get it. We found another vet to do the surgery and have given them $2500, but we still need at least $5000 more. He is at Creature Comfort in pennsylvania. Dipper came into our lives unexpectedly and won over our hearts with his big bark in this tiny body. Seeing him fight to live against parvo and just his love for everyone has captured our hearts. His curiosity gets him into trouble, but i cant imagine our lives without him. Dipper needs emergency obstruction surgery. We found a vet at Creature Comforts in Pennsylvania. I paid $2500, but still need at least $5000 more before he is discharged. Ive exhausted all my funds and have been denied for scratchpay. I am desperate to save his life!

Meet Meiya — but everyone calls her Meme 🫶🏽 She’s my retired helper dog, but she definitely didn’t get that memo! After my paralysis, she’d use her weight to stop my muscle spasms. Now she thinks her full time job is putting her full body weight into everyone she loves, she’s a big ham. She’s been my girl since she was 7w and completely changed my life in ways I can’t explain. Meme has been experiencing ongoing GI issues and weight loss. She has struggled to eat enough despite dietary changes, hand-feeding, medications, and veterinary care. She has been treated for C. diff and continues to have unexplained symptoms. Recent testing at UF found abdominal fluid, but we still don’t have a diagnosis. Further testing is needed to determine the cause and treatment. She’s my right hand, she’s taken care of me in ways I cannot put into words. She saved me in a time I didn’t think I could be saved and has done that every day since. She’s a lover, she really is a baby, so gentle. She must always be touching you, holding your hand with her paw, putting her weight into you.. Letting you know you are not alone. I am on disability, so income is limited. I’ve already spent around $1500, and who knows the direction of care we are headed. She deserves the world, and I will do everything in my power to give her that.

At 11, Daisy Needs Us More Than Ever

Low Rider Dachshund Rescue of FL is fighting to give Ms. Daisy the chance she deserves. At 11 years old, this sweet dachshund came into our care facing several serious medical problems. Daisy arrived with a severe skin condition, mammary tumors, and a spinal issue whose cause is still unknown. She has also been found to have a problem with her spleen that may require surgery. Daisy has already had one tumor removed, and thankfully, the pathology showed clear margins. That's an encouraging sign, but there is still much more to figure out before we know what her future will look like. We are working closely with BluePearl vet specialists, Dr. Ashley Kelly, Low Rider's Director, and a veterinary neurosurgeon to determine the best course of treatment for Daisy. Her next major step is an MRI of her spine and spleen, which will give her veterinary team a clearer picture of what is happening and help determine what treatment she needs next. For an 11-year-old dog who has already been through so much, Daisy deserves the chance to get the answers and care she needs. Your donation will help Low Rider Dachshund Rescue provide Daisy with the diagnostic imaging, specialist care, veterinary treatment, and potential surgery she needs as we work to get her healthy and comfortable. India

India Was Abandoned While Pregnant—Help Her and Her Puppies

Pacific Rim Rescue is helping India begin a new chapter after she was abandoned in the middle of the hop orchards in Washington’s Yakima Valley. India and her six-month-old puppy, West, were found acres from the nearest main road, where agricultural workers discovered them and contacted our rescue partner on the Yakama Reservation to get them to safety. We don't know how they ended up there, and we may never know what India had been through before she was found. What we do know is that India was abandoned at one of the most vulnerable times in her life. She's only about 1½ years old, and when she was rescued, she was very pregnant. India is a sweet Brussels Griffon mix, likely with some Chihuahua, and she has completely stolen our hearts. She's calm, gentle, and incredibly loving, melting into the people caring for her. And with her enormous brown eyes and adorable snaggle tooth, it's easy to see why everyone is already obsessed with her. Our veterinarian believes India is carrying four or five puppies, who are expected to arrive within the next couple of weeks. She now needs veterinary care throughout her pregnancy, and once her puppies are born, they'll need food, medical care, and everything they need to get a healthy start. India's babies won't be born in a hop field. They won't grow up abandoned or left to fend for themselves. They'll be born somewhere warm and safe, with a full belly, veterinary care, and people watching over them from their very first breath. Your donation will help Pacific Rim Rescue provide India with the veterinary care she needs during her pregnancy and help care for her puppies when they arrive. India was thrown away when she needed someone most. Now, she has a rescue family fighting for her and her babies. She made it out. And so will they.

West

West Was Dumped in a Hop Field With a Devastating Injury

Six-month-old West was found with his mama, India, dumped miles from the nearest main road in the middle of the hop orchards of Washington’s Yakima Valley. Agricultural workers discovered the injured puppy and his mother, and our rescue partner on the Yakama Reservation immediately stepped in to get them to safety. West desperately needed medical attention. A massive wound stretched from his back right shoulder, around his body and toward his left chest. His fur and even the wound itself were packed with cheat grass and painful sharp awns, leaving him with extensive damage. Less than 10 hours after arriving in our care, West was at our veterinary partner undergoing emergency surgery. Once surgery began, we discovered that the damage was even more extensive than it first appeared. Our veterinary team had to enlarge the incision to carefully remove debris and damaged tissue, thoroughly clean the wound, and repair the extensive injuries. They quite literally put this little puppy back together. West is young, and we're hopeful he will heal beautifully. He is now safe, receiving the wound care he needs, and beginning his recovery. We don't know how West and his mama ended up abandoned in those fields, and we may never know. But we do know that West deserved better, and we were determined to give him the chance to heal. Your donation will help Pacific Rim Rescue cover the veterinary care West has already received, including his emergency surgery, wound treatment, medications, follow-up care, and the continued care he needs as he recovers. West should have been spending his puppyhood playing and growing up with his family. Instead, he was left injured and alone in a remote field. Now he has a rescue family fighting for him. Kev Survived the Wildfire. Now He Needs a Safe Place to Heal.

Pacific Rim Rescue is helping Kev begin again after this three year old, 60 pound Labrador and Rhodesian Ridgeback mix survived a wildfire, the loss of his home, and an old gunshot wound that left a bullet lodged in his shoulder. Kev was living in White Swan, a community in Washington State on the Yakama Reservation, when the wildfire destroyed his family’s home. During the evacuation, Kev was untied and left behind. After the fire, he returned alone to where his home had once stood. When rescuers found him, Kev was limping badly and terrified of people. Before bringing him to Pacific Rim Rescue, we arranged for him to receive X-rays to find out what was causing his pain. That’s when we discovered a bullet lodged in his right shoulder, along with multiple fragments. Further imaging showed that the bullet had traveled through and shattered part of his upper shoulder before lodging beneath his scapula. Our veterinary team does not recommend removing it at this time. Instead, Kev will need long term pain and nerve medication and an orthopedic consultation to determine the best plan for his future care. He also arrived with dual ear infections and painfully worn toenails, likely from running across hot pavement during the fire. He is now neutered, vaccinated, treated for parasites, and safely in our care. But Kev’s physical recovery is only part of his journey. He is extremely shy and shut down, and life has taught him not to trust people. Sometimes he will allow a gentle scratch on his head. Other times, he runs to hide. We respect his boundaries and are giving him the time he needs to decompress and learn that he is finally safe. We named him Kev, short for Kevlar, because this boy has already survived so much. ❤️‍🩹 Kev survived the gunshot wound. He survived losing his home. He survived the wildfire. Now he doesn't have to survive on his own. Your donation will help Pacific Rim Rescue provide the long term medications, veterinary care, orthopedic consultation, rehabilitation, and ongoing support Kev needs and cover the costs of the imaging he received. We can't change what happened to Kev. But we can change what happens next. Nandi is such a special girl and truly one of a kind. She’s a protector, a big lover, and definitely has a vocal personality! She brings so much love, comfort, and happiness into our lives. She’s not just a dog to me she’s family, and we want to do everything we can to help her get better. ❤️🐾 Nandi recently tore a ligament and has been limping on three legs. I sadly wasn’t there when it happen but she been abused before plenty of times due to an individual kicking her. She needs surgery to get back to feeling like herself and living comfortably. Medication is only temporary. If She isn’t able to receive this surgery her other leg will give out. It’s been 30 days since I have been trying to raise the funds with no help. I have gotten some donation but not entirely all of them enough for her surgery. Nandi tore a ligament and has been struggling to walk, constantly limping and relying on three legs. Sadly, I wasn’t there when the injury happened, so I don’t know exactly what caused it. What I do know is that Nandi has already been through so much in her life. She has been abused before, including being kicked by an individual, and it breaks my heart knowing she has experienced thiskind of pain It’s been 30 days of trying to raise fundraising for Nandi’s surgery. Noel is my one-of-a-kind orange girl who's scared of everything yet growls at the mailman like a fierce protector. I adopted her at 3 months old based only by a picture the shelter had posted. I knew at first look she was meant to be my fur daughter. My sweet Noel is only five years old, but her little body has been through so much. She has genetic periodontal disease, bilateral hip arthritis, and severe GI issues that recently required emergency hairball removal surgery because her stressed nature causes over-grooming. I've already spent nearly $10,000 on diagnostics and treatment, and now Bakersfield Regional Surgery Specialists say she needs FHO (femoral head ostectomy) surgery because pain medication isn't controlling her arthritis anymore. She also needs two teeth extracted, with more likely to follow. I have had to add stairs to my bed as you can see in the picture because she won't sleep anywhere but with me. She is not just a "cat" she is my fur daughter, and I love her more than anything in the world. She is so delicate and fragile and it's my job to get her healthy and happy again. I need help because I have already exhausted my savings of $10,000 for care for her this last month alone. Multiple x-rays and ultrasounds and blood work and hairball removal surgery. Now the only way she can have a happy pain free life is to get this arthritis surgery and I am out of money.

I adopted Bandit from a shelter when he was 6 weeks old and we’ve been together ever since. Growing up he loved to be outside, going for hikes but no matter what he always wanted to stay close to his family. He’s very obedient and knows lots of tricks. These days in his old age he appreciates treats and laying on my bed with me. He has a hematoma in his right ear and very dry skin causing him to itch a lot, putting him in a lot of discomfort daily. It is to the point where I have a t-shirt on him so he can’t scratch himself. Because I’ve had him since he was a puppy and it’s been 11 years now. He’s very loyal to me, showing tons of affection. I love him so much and couldn’t imagine life without him. He doesn’t deserve to suffer like this. He’s always been a happy dog, full of life and I want to see that again. I wish I had the money to take him to the vet, but being unemployed and on social services I can’t afford it. I am Unemployed, I have been looking for a job for months now remotely because I don’t have a car and nothing has come up. The only income I receive is from social services which is $91 twice a month and I use that to buy dog food.I am in desperate need of help, please.
