She is 3 years old blue put bull happy loving playful she used to go everywhere with me and I want her to start going places with me again She has not walked since December, she sleeps on her back she trembles and shake# while she sleeps and wakes up in shock or scared She is my baby girl nshe means so much to me she chose me when she was a puppy and she is the best dog I have ever had she is my best friend. She is our family Please Help Blue Get Back on Her Feet 💙 Blue is my 3-year-old blue Pit Bull and my baby girl. Last winter, Blue started limping on her back right leg. I constantly checked her paw because I thought something might be stuck or injured, but I could never find anything wrong. Her limp would come and go. Then, this spring, Blue had an accident after I gave her a bath. She got excited and took off running toward the bed. She jumped, landed hard on her back on our hardwood floor, and became extremely painful. For about three days, she barely moved, cried, and slept most of the time. When she finally got back up and started walking again, another one of my dogs attacked her outside and grabbed and pulled her back leg. After that, her condition continued to get worse. For months, she would have good days when she could walk a little, followed by days when she could barely move. Eventually, she stopped walking altogether. For the past several months, I've watched my baby girl struggle with pain without being able to afford the veterinary care she needs. There were many nights when I honestly thought I was going to lose her. Recently, Blue has started trying to walk again. She can only take a few steps, though, and she's still in a lot of pain. She has lost a significant amount of muscle around her back, hips and hind legs. Sometimes she uses her front legs to lift herself up because she can't properly use her back legs. I have researched her symptoms extensively. Hip dysplasia is one possibility that seems to fit many of her symptoms, but she has not been diagnosed, and I don't want to assume that's what is wrong. She needs a veterinarian to examine her and determine what is actually happening. The thing that keeps me going is that Blue still wants to live. Her personality is coming back. She wants to play. She wants to be happy. She still has that spark in her. She's only three years old. I don't want to give up on her simply because I don't have enough money to get her through the door of a veterinarian. 💙 What We're Asking For We're raising money for Blue's: 🩺 Veterinary examination 🦴 X-rays and diagnostic testing 💊 Pain medication and treatment 🐾 Any additional treatment the veterinarian determines she needs ❤️ Follow-up care Every dollar will go directly toward Blue's veterinary care.
