Four months ago, we rescued Peridot from a hoarder house where she was living in terrible conditions. She was severely neglected, battling heavy fleas and parasites, but despite everything she had been through, she quickly became the center of our world. Recently, our sweet 1-year-old kitten was poisoned after getting into something she shouldn’t have. Within hours, she became Peridot is currently receiving emergency treatment at Greenlight Pet ER after suffering severe poisoning. A few months ago, we rescued her from a hoarder house where she had been living in extremely poor conditions. She was only a kitten and had already endured neglect, parasites, fleas, and an unhealthy Peridot is one of the sweetest and most loving cats I have ever met. She also has 2 sister cats Luna and Kitty. Peaches was born with a heart murmur, we just found out about. She has been to a cardiologist and had an echocardiogram. They said she has to have a life saving surgery. Peaches loves cuddles and wearing outfits. Her favorite toy is a stuffed black cat. She loves playing with her brother and sisters. She is very loyal and will follow me around the house. The surgery is $5,000 and the visit to the cardiologist plus the echocardiogram is $1,000. Sophia is so loved and saved my oldest daughter’s mental health. My oldest has challenges with her social life and Sophia has become her best friend. She brings joy to all of our family. Sophia has a complex fracture on her left leg that requires a very expensive surgery. She hurt her leg playing indoors and the surgery cost is between 5000 and 7500 dollars. She has pain meds and wrappings but it will not heal her leg, the surgery is mandatory. My Sophia is a big part of our family and she is so affectionate. She loves cuddles, to lick your face and play time. Shes enjoys zoomies and playing fetch. She’s enjoys her quiet time also. She’s adventurous, loves walks, exploring outdoors. and playing with children. I work full time but with children rent and other bills we can’t afford the surgery. It would mean the world to my family and especially my daughter to help fund the surgery for her emotional support dog and also her best friend who means the world to us.

After Losing His Sibling, Maximo Needs Our Help

Maximo was found on the streets with his mom and sibling, trying to survive without the safety and care every puppy deserves. After being rescued, both puppies became ill and tested positive for parvo, a highly contagious and often deadly virus that can be especially dangerous for young dogs. Sadly, Maximo's sibling did not survive. Maximo was also diagnosed with parvo and required immediate veterinary care. Thanks to the support of our veterinary team and foster network, he is now receiving the treatment and monitoring he needs while he continues on the road to recovery. Today, Maximo is safe in foster care, where he can focus on healing and finally experience the stability, comfort, and love that every puppy should know. While he still has a journey ahead of him, we are hopeful for his future and committed to giving him every opportunity to thrive. As with many medical emergencies, the cost of treatment has been significant. Parvo care often requires hospitalization, medications, diagnostics, and ongoing supportive treatment, all of which add up quickly. For a rescue organization, unexpected cases like Maximo's can place a tremendous strain on already limited resources. MJ Simba as a tiny pup back in 2012 picked me. He was so small he could fit in the palm of my hand. Since that day he's been my shadow, my best friend, and a constant source of love and laughter. People always ask what "MJ" stands for. My nephew named him couldn't choose between Michael Jackson or Michael Jordan, so MJ it was. Later, friends started calling him Simba, and the name fit perfectly. Until now, MJ had been remarkably healthy. Then, overnight, he lost the ability to walk normally and struggled to eat, drink, and stand. An emergency vet at BluePearl recognized the severity of his condition and helped get him seen immediately at PASE. There, specialists diagnosed a herniated disc in his neck affecting his mobility and breathing, emergency ventral slot surgery. Anyone who knows me knows MJ is my son-dog. For over 13 years, he's been by my side through life's highs and lows. He's the unofficial guest at sports nights with friends, and if you have food, he'll ask semi-nicely for a bite. Penelope experienced a sudden, life-threatening medical emergency that required immediate surgery and an extended stay in the ICU. The total cost of her emergency care exceeded $51,000. While she is now stable, she requires ongoing care with an internal medicine specialist to determine the cause of her illness and guide next steps, including continued testing and follow‑up visits. Penelope is incredibly affectionate, goofy, and cuddly, and truly believes she’s a lap dog. She loves people, running around with other dogs, and most importanly, being curled up with her family. She’s incredibly social, endlessly loving, and truly irreplaceable to us. During Penny’s ICU stay, our household unexpectedly became a single‑income family, adding to the sudden and significant financial strain.
