Doon

Doon is a 8 year old Mix-Breed in Clinton, MA, who needs $7,000 for Tooth Removal, Tooth Cleaning, Stitching the Gums.

Clinton, MA

Doon began his life homeless in Puerto Rico as a Sato dog. He learned early on that the world was a loud, frightening place. By the time he reached us, that history was etched into his spirit as a deep, trembling anxiety. He was a shy cloud of fuzzy fur peering out from the back of a shelter waiting for a reason to trust. Then came 2020. While the world outside grew quiet and still, Doon became our heartbeat. In the isolation of that year, he wasn't just a pet; he was our anchor. Every time our own anxieties spiked, he was there, offering the quiet comfort only a dog who has known true fear can give. Doon finally found his safe place with our family. Recently, Doon’s world has shifted again. It started with a swelling in his cheek. At first, we hoped it was a simple sting from a bee. But the reality is much heavier. Beneath his gentle gaze, Doon has been carrying a secret pain. Dr. Parkis at Integrative animal health informed us that his mouth is has some bad teeth that are possibly infected and threatening bone loss. We took Doon to a veterinary dentist in Boxboro who confirmed the diagnosis and gave us a quote for the work. The most heartbreaking part is his silence. Because of his anxious nature, Doon is an expert at hiding his pain. He doesn't complain; he just continues to be our friendly dog, even as infection has seeped into his mouth and bone loss looms. It is a cruel irony that a dog who spent his early life struggling to survive is now being betrayed by his own body just as he finally learned what it felt like to be safe. The next step for Doon is a four-hour oral surgery to save him from further bone loss and infection. For this, he must go under anesthesia monitored by an anesthesiologist so the veterinarian can safely perform oral surgery and clean his remaining teeth. We want to do everything we can to return him to an infection-free, pain-free life. Doon has spent his whole life trying to be brave, please help us give him the chance to finally be pain-free, and save him from bone loss.

Sir Fluffigans

Sir Fluffigans is a 4 year old Yorkshire Terrier in Reno , NV, who needs $1,058 for Dental Extraction.

Reno, NV

I met Sir Fluffigans when he was about a year old. I was his groomer at the time, and he had already been through more than any dog should. His previous owner abandoned him and had physically abused him. When he was left with me, I didn’t plan on keeping him—but he chose me, and I chose him. Around that same time, my life took a hard turn. I was deeply depressed and diagnosed with quad cubital carpal syndrome, living with excruciating pain that forced me to quit my job and wait for surgery. Not long after, I was also diagnosed with gallstones. For nearly three years, I lived in constant pain while waiting for surgeries and recovery. During those years, Sir Fluffigans never left my side. When I couldn’t work, couldn’t move, and couldn’t see a way forward, he stayed. He was my comfort on the worst days and my reason to keep going when everything felt overwhelming. At the same time, my eldest son was diagnosed with a life-threatening condition, adding another layer of fear and uncertainty to our family. My husband became the only one working, and everything he earns goes straight into keeping our household afloat. It’s been one year since my surgeries, and while I’m grateful to be healing, I’ve lost a lot of strength and still struggle with basic daily tasks. Asking for help is not easy—but I can no longer let my pride stand in the way of the pain I see Sir Fluffigans in now. He needs dental surgery to relieve ongoing pain and prevent serious health complications. This dog stood by me through years of suffering. He comforted me when I couldn’t comfort myself. And now, I’m asking for help so my family and I can do the same for him. If you’re able to donate, even a small amount, it would mean more than I can express. If you can’t donate, sharing this or keeping him in your thoughts helps just as much. Thank you for helping us give Sir Fluffigans the care he deserves — the same loyalty and love he’s given me all these years 💙🐶

Wrigley

Wrigley is a 8 year old Beagle in Jacksonville , FL, who needs $7,500 for Spleen and Tumor Removal / Splenectomy.

Jacksonville, FL

Hello, I wanted to start by saying i’m so sorry to even be asking anyone for anything. it was never my intention and if this situation had not had a severe financial impact, i would never ask. please, if you yourself are struggling, don’t donate, maybe just share if you could. i would hate to take anything from anyone who does not have it to give. Wrigley is my first dog by myself. He is my soul dog. Anyone who meets him comments on how oddly human he is. He’s just an incredible guy. On december 23rd, as we were going to bed, he was acting just a little off. I honestly thought the ER vet was going to laugh and tell me I was being ridiculous. Never did I think he had a large tumor on his spleen that had began to leak into his abdomen. Thankfully he was able to be rushed into emergency surgery that night where the spleen and tumor were removed. We are still waiting to hear back on the results of the tumor biopsy. I took him home christmas morning, but within a few hours, his gums had gone pale and he was back at the ER. He is there now as I type this, being monitored for a heart thing that they say isn’t unusual after surgery. But with all that said, his already impossible vet bill keeps climbing. I am out of options. I did not qualify for nearly enough care credit to cover this. So I am here now, seeing if anyone is able to help me help my boy. I am hopeful that this surgery was curative, but if it is cancer, i only have a few months with my baby.
