My daughter & I went to meet Indigo where she was dropped off at a rescue coming from an Ensenada rescue. She stopped playing with other dogs & jumped into my arms & rested her head on my shoulder. We’ve been inseparable ever since & she goes everywhere I go - even to work with me at a boutique where she is the official greeter. She’s so chill & lures dogs/people alike inside with her cuteness. Indigo has a ruptured ligament in her rear right knee causing her shin to lose connection with her thigh (similar to an ACL issue in humans). TPLO surgery reshapes shin to improve realignment with the thigh joint & the ligament efficiently stabilizes movement of the rejoined bones. It’s fairly urgent due to arthritis & meniscus tears. SC Vet treated her & provided the best quote of $5,339.22. Indigo loves all creatures, especially large male dogs (to climb on) & cats! We adopted a kitten for her for Christmas. They’re SO cute together, licking each other’s faces & lying together while kitty bats at her wagging tail. She SO animated like she’s actively chewing on something off the ground, more so when I question her only to find it was a piece of lint! Puzzle toys are her favorite. It breaks my heart that I can’t fix her. I’ve always been self-sufficient as a single mom. Laid off from corporate job, savings were spent on bills/rent. We have part-time retail jobs. $1,000 paid in consults, x-ray, & bloodwork. Now shots due end of April, too.

Junior isn’t just our dog, he’s our little boy. My boyfriend has had Junior since the day he was born. He helped deliver him, and from that moment on they’ve been inseparable. Junior is the last of his litter, and the bond they share is something really special. My boyfriend has never had to be without him. He’s always been such a happy, energetic little boy. He loves being close, sitting in your We never thought this could happen. Junior was hurt in a sudden fight with one of our French bulldogs—his jaw left hanging. We rushed him to the ER that night. He has fractures on both sides of his jaw and a possible skull fracture. He’s in pain, and we’re struggling to afford the urgent surgery he needs to survive Junior is incredibly loyal—he protects me from anyone. If my boyfriend and I even play-wrestle, he jumps in like our little “cop” or “party police,” making sure everyone’s okay. When the puppies play too rough, he barks and steps in to break it up, like he’s telling them to calm down. He loves fetch and will happily bring the ball back every time, and with our baby he’s so gentle and careful. He’s I’m currently in school, and my boyfriend is our only source of income. We have a 15 month old baby, so finances are already tight. We don’t have savings, and this has been a huge, unexpected hit. We’ve been struggling just to cover the ER visit, X-rays, and medication.

After everything Puti has been through—from the heartbreaking injuries to her nose and snout, to multiple surgeries, and finally, returning to the care of Stray Dog Support's partner sanctuary in Iloilo, Philippines, Paraiso ni Fur Kimay—we wanted to share her latest update. Over the past few days, we noticed a small wound forming near Puti’s eye. At first, we thought it might just be a minor injury, possibly from bumping into something inside the shelter. However, yesterday we saw pus coming from the wound, which immediately raised concern. We rushed her to the clinic so the veterinarians could assess her condition. The doctor recommended an X-ray to determine whether the infection might be coming from inside and to check if the braces from her previous surgery had shifted. As of now, Puti has been confined at the clinic for close monitoring. She is scheduled for a CBC test tomorrow to determine if there is an underlying infection. The good news is that her X-ray results show that the braces from her previous surgery are still in place and stable. For now, the clinic has treated her wound with a spray, and she remains under observation. Please continue to keep Puti in your thoughts as she recovers once again. We will keep everyone updated on her condition. Thank you for your continued love and support for this brave little fighter.

If you’ve ever met Cody, you know one thing immediately: He’s ridiculously smart. Not regular smart. “Figured out how to ring the bell at the door to go outside” smart. “Learns new tricks faster than humans can teach them” smart. “Puts his paw on your arm when you say ‘help’ like he understands what you're going through” smart. Cody is the kind of dog who keeps life interesting. Recent X-rays showed severe hip dysplasia in his left hip, along with arthritis and joint damage. His right hip is also beginning to show signs of dysplasia and degeneration. Because he has been compensating for the pain, the strain has now started affecting his knees and ligaments as well. Cody has been referred to an orthopedic specialist at Gulf Coast Veterinary Specialists. Cody carries his toys around like prized possessions, and lately he’s been learning to clean up by putting them back in his toy box. He LOVES Christmas presents — so much that if you leave them out early, he’ll happily open them ahead of schedule. And whenever he gets a new treat or toy, he prances away with it like he just won the lottery:) Surgery could give Cody something priceless: The ability to walk comfortably. To run again. To play again. Cody has given so much love, laughter, and joy. Having him healthy again would be an incredible gift.

Rex came into my life in late September 2022. He became available at The Oakville/Milton Humane Society where he became an available foster since the previous fosters were leaving the country and no one wished to foster or adopt him because he was dog reactive.. I fell in l love with him, fostered and adopted him. He loved both my husband and myself and has been the second love my life On April12/26 Rex was running in the yard along fence line, saw another dog and hurt his back right hind leg. Couldn't put any pressure on it and was limping Took him to VEG ER, had x-rays done where they suspected a Cruciate ligament tear. Referred to VEC Hospital in West Toronto. Surgeon confirmed Crania Cruciate ligament rupture. Needs immediate surgery to repair so he can walk. Rex is special because he is all that I have left of my husband who passed away in late 2024 after only 5 years. Together with my husband & REX my life was full of love and joy. Rex is my companion, protector, lifeline & keeps me sane and grounded. He loves his squeaky & rope toys, his dentabones, is a very vocal talker, loves rolling in the grass and snow on his back and howls at firetrucks Husband died suddenly. Catastrophic family expenses & me having to carry the financial burden with no emergency fund & no family to help. It would bring me immense joy to have REX walking & playing again without limping since he is my four legged child who I love dearly.

My baby Rosco was a rescue. I have had him for almost 8 years. I have taken in many rescues over the years to ensure as many fur babies have a home and love as possible. He is like a grumpy old man set in his ways and very few teeth left. He is super sweet and has never left my side. While I was gone to pick up my teen from work my dogs had busted into the trashcan.(fun times) I am assuming they found something worth fighting for and my big dog, loki, (gsd/husky) won the battle. I came home to a crime scene. Roscoe was covered in blood, mouth crooked and couldn't close it. I rushed him to the hospital He was in shock, with a broken and displaced jaw and puncture wound. He is my best friend and I am his person. He sleeps with me every night, wakes with me every morning and is always following me around. He has been there for me through so much over the years, he is my rock. This was very sudden, like most people with families we are paycheck to paycheck. I was able to get care credit to help with the emergency cost of things but I do not have enough for the jaw surgery. I don't want to let him go but I cant let him suffer. Bring my baby home

The vet needs to clean cricket and peanuts teeth because they got disease on their gums. And they both peanut and cricket and peanut need teeth pulled. Cricket loves everyone she is a sweetheart and loves to go for walks. Peanuts also loves to go for walks he loves to play with other dogs peanut also loves chicken and dental bones but he cannot because his teeth. It’s mean a lot to me to have my dogs healthy again.
