Nikko

Nikko is a 5 year old American Bulldog in Oxford, CT, who needs $10,000 for Intestinal Blockage Surgery.

Oxford, CT

My dog came into my life as a loving companion during a difficult time and quickly became family. We’ve been together for years, and he’s brought constant comfort, joy, and loyalty into our home. He’s playful, gentle, and deeply bonded with everyone in our household, making every day brighter. My dog is currently experiencing a serious medical emergency due to a suspected intestinal blockage. This condition requires immediate veterinary attention, including diagnostic imaging and likely surgery, to prevent life-threatening complications. We are working with our veterinary hospital to get him the care he urgently needs, but the cost is more than we can manage alone. He is deeply loved an My dog is more than a pet he’s family. He has a gentle, loving personality and always knows how to comfort us, whether it’s with a wagging tail, sitting close, or just being there when we need him most. He loves playing, being around people, and bringing joy into our home every single day. His bond with us is truly special, and he has a way of making even the hardest days feel a little lighter. We My husband and I both work hard to support our family, and I currently work two jobs while raising our five children. Life has been challenging, and while we do everything we can to stay afloat, this sudden emergency has put us in a position we simply weren’t prepared for.

Rorschach Abednego Underfoot

Rorschach Abednego Underfoot is a 12 year old American Pit Bull Terrier in Yoder, CO, who needs $1,600 for Canine Tooth Extraction x2.

Yoder, CO

Rorschach came to me as a 6 week old that contracted parvovirus. He had a few bad weeks back then but he beat it with constant support. We’ve been together for 12 years now and he’s been through everything with me. He broke a tooth years back and it has finally really started to cause him pain. He’s not usually one to complain but I can see it in his eyes and hear it in his voice. He needs help. We were able to get help from the pet cross who have said he needs two of his teeth extracted and found a very reasonable vet to help called springs veterinary dentistry who can perform the procedure for between 700 and 1800 dollars which is well beyond my capabilities to come up with in the short term. Rorschach has defended me from a rattlesnake who came inside from the back door as well as a badger who unknowingly picked the wrong shed to live under all while protecting chickens, children, and his pup friends over the years. He’s been with me longer than any person has tried and never complained and now he needs help. I’ve been lucky enough to become a dad and brand new to parenting a 3y/o, although I’ve had him full time since by myself. It’s only been a couple weeks since that happened and it’s been taxing. Schach is a great nanny dog and couldn’t be more gentle with my son.

loki

loki is a 3 year old Mix-Breed in Dover, PA, who needs $1,200 for Internal Bleeding.

Dover, PA

Loki was a rescue from the SPCA, ironically we went to see another dog but when we saw Loki we wanted to meet him. (the other dog got adopted don’t worry) Loki has been the best thing to happen to our family, my step dad never wanted a dog and now he’s his best friend they do everything together (literally). He’s our four legged, cross eyed best friend. Loki unfortunately got out and hit by a car. We took him to the emergency vet and they want to do surgery but we do not have the money to pay the thousands of dollars. I know people say don’t get a dog if you can’t afford it but the surgery amount is a lot, we take very good care of him and is fed special meals and almost never eats dog food. Currently he has medicine but we need help. Loki is the best, he knows how to sit, lay down, paw, high five, hug, and give kisses (trust me he knows what he’s doing he won’t give kisses endless you have the food in your hand), he even knows sit and lay down in sign language. He loves to cuddle and take up the whole bed, we think he thinks he’s small. We have another dog and they adore each other, she’s a new addition but they don’t act so! We live off a fixed income with just enough to keep us happy at home, no need to go out to have fun. This surgery is a very unexpected major expense that is not possible. Being able to get this surgery would mean everything to us to keep our best friend here with us.

Blind Sweetheart With TWO Eyeball Tumors Dumped On The Streets When His Medical Needs Became “Inconvenient”

Kewaskum, WI • Pawsitive Sanctuary Inc

Angrej is suffering every second. This sweet boy, once someone’s pet, is now blind, in agony, and fighting to survive after being discarded when he needed help the most. With tumors in both eyes and pain so severe he trembles and pants, Angrej cannot see the world around him. We are racing to save him, but his medical needs are urgent, extensive, and overwhelming. He needs help now. He didn’t start like this. Angrej belonged to someone. He trusted someone. But the moment he got sick, when his care became inconvenient, he was thrown away and left to fend for himself on the streets. By the time he was found, his condition was almost too much to bear. Tumors had overtaken both of his eyes, leaving him completely blind. Not just blind, but in excruciating, relentless pain. This didn’t happen overnight. This kind of suffering takes time. Which means people saw him. People watched as his eyes worsened, as his body declined, as he struggled to navigate a world he could no longer see. And still, no one stepped in. When our team found Angrej on the street, we didn’t hesitate to pull him to safety. We rushed him back to the sanctuary and began stabilizing him immediately. But the damage is severe. Our veterinary team is now assessing his condition, and the heartbreaking reality is that he will likely need surgery to remove both eyes. We are still holding onto hope that there may be another option, but we have to be honest: we may already be too late to save them. What we can do is end his pain. And his suffering doesn’t stop there. Angrej is malnourished, his body weakened from neglect. He is riddled with parasites and covered in wounds from surviving on the streets in this condition. He needs comprehensive care—diagnostics, medications, parasite treatment, proper nutrition, and constant support as his body begins to heal from everything he’s endured. We can choose to fight for him now. Please consider donating toward Angrej’s medical care. And if you’re unable to give, sharing his story could be the reason someone else steps in to help save his life. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for your support. With love, Pawsitive Sanctuary \_Since Angrej’s abuser is unknown, and there are no viable leads, an investigation cannot be opened. Right now, the best thing we can do for Angrej is help him heal. Thank you for your understanding.\_

Bentley and Lola

Neglected, Overbred, and Sick—Help This Mother and Son Survive

greenville, NC • Winter's Grace Animal Rescue

When Bentley and Lola were rescued, it was hard to tell where their suffering ended and their bodies began. Their fur was so severely matted that their ears were lost beneath layers of tight, painful knots. Every movement must have pulled at their skin. Every day they lived like that was a day of silent pain. We believe Lola, around five years old, is Bentley’s mother. Bentley is just about two. In those short years, their lives have been defined by neglect, fear, and survival—not comfort, not safety, and certainly not love. Neither dog was used to human contact. When they were first handled, their fear was overwhelming. They bite—not out of aggression, but out of pure terror. It’s the only way they know how to protect themselves in a world that has never been kind to them. And as if their past wasn’t enough, both Bentley and Lola tested heartworm positive. Heartworm disease is life-threatening. It slowly damages the heart and lungs and, without treatment, it will take their lives. Both dogs will require the same course of treatment, and the cost for each is significant—but necessary to give them a future. Lola’s story carries another quiet heartbreak. She has had multiple litters of puppies, her body used over and over again. We may never know how many. What we do know is that those days are over. She will never have to endure that again. Now, for the first time, Bentley and Lola have a chance—not just to survive, but to heal. But healing won’t be easy. It will take time, patience, and consistent care to help them learn that they are safe. That hands don’t have to hurt. That the world can be gentle. Your donation will go directly toward their heartworm treatment and ongoing medical care. It will give them the chance to recover physically while we work to help them heal emotionally. Bentley and Lola have only ever had each other. Now they need someone to stand up for them. Please donate today and help give this mother and son the life they were always denied.
