My dog was a rescue from Ecuador and has lived in the US with me for 7 years. She lives with me and my husband in an apartment in NY and has been my support for many years. She is our only pet and we love her very much. We named her Chicky because her mom was named Chicky plus she was also the smallest in the litter. My poor baby has been suffering for a few weeks now due to on and off vomiting. When we took her to the vet, it was discovered that she was diabetic and that her glucose was in the 500 range. They wanted to hospitalise her but the estimate of this was just too costly for us $3,670. We ended up leaving with only the insulin to give her but now she’s not eating and we’re very afraid. Chicky is a funny and loving pug. She’s very friendly with people and dogs for the most part but can display some jealousy at times. Her favorite foods are eggs and mandarines and she loves to take naps with us. It will mean the world to us to see our baby healthy again. I have been out of work for over a month due to my immigration status (Now Approved). I’ll be going back to work within 1 week but I just can’t afford this expense right now and I’m devestated.

Millie is a Texas Heeler and came to Texas all the way from Kansas City along with my niece who is attending UTSA. She has a canine brother and a sister, Lola and Tucker, human aunt, uncle and cousin and her human mom. Additionally, her littler mate Riggs traveled with her to Texas and lives just down the road. Millie is just under 6 months old and has her whole life ahead of her. Millie presented on Monday morning with a loss of appetite and fever. Her local vet gave her Rimydal and said to keep her eye on things. As the next couple days progressed she started to pant heavily and we made another vet appt. Upon further review they referred us to a ER vet for a lung torsion. Millie has a severe lung infection and a 1/2 liter of pus was removed from her lungs today. Millie’s favorite things are her toys and ball, the chickens, deer and her siblings. She loves to snuggle up at the end of a long day with us and watch tv. To have Millie healthy again is important to us. We just lost my father in law in March and then one month later my mother in law had to put her old dog down. Millie has brought sunshine and color back to my niece and daughter’s life. Please help!!

When I decided to get a dog I knew I want a small breed so that they can travel with me and see the world. When I learned that a friend picked from the street a pregnant dog that was about to give birth, I knew it was meant to be. I met Eva when she was just about a few weeks old and she finally moved in with me at the age of about 2 months. Since then we've been together for 5 years Just after we moved to the US Eva started to have some nose bleeds and now requires CT and rhinoscopy with general anesthesia to diagnose the cause. It is not clear what the treatment itself will be. She is insured but unfortunately her insurance doesn't cover it because the condition first appeared during the relocation period when she was not covered as we moved countries. Eva loves people! Since the young age she was surrounded by love from all my friends and even spoiled. She loves fetching, cuddling and talking (growling) and it's really sad to see she can't be as vocal as she was due to the respiratory issue she developed. She is quite a coward in the big city of NY yet, but we are exploring it together and I hope she will love it with time! I have just recently moved to the US and my partner is unemployed. While the move was for a job, we are currently in the state of living paycheck to paycheck. I could never imagine I will be struggling to care for Eva's health but here we are

On a snowy Presidents day in February 2018, my 9 year old and 7 year old children braved the snow storm to visit Humane Society For Companion Animals, organization I supported and fundraised for since late 1990... We left with little terrier bundle, who was only two month old and supposedly was returned twice due to some personality issues and the fun had began! Within first year and a half he developed allergies that turned into severe chronic ear infections. Due to nature of his strong resource guarding tendencies, treating him was a struggle from day one and permanent solution is doing total ear ablation. I currently have appointment at Iowa University School of Veterinary in November to proceed with TECA in hopes of cure. While he is not cuddly one and has independent, strong personality, he is the baby of the family. He loves his mum, tolerates his siblings (human and feline alike), adores grandparents. He can be a thief and mischief and sometimes really difficult to handle but the second you come home, and he runs toward you with gift in his month (most likely dirty sock) we would not have it any other way. In 2019 two family members were diagnosed with chronic illnesses that caused lost months of income and medical expenses in 2019. His mom broke leg first week of Covid ( March) that required 2 surgeries and TECA can be really expensive up to 15,000K.

October was born on Halloween of 2023. 5 days later I came to visit her mom and her litter. The conditions they were living in broke my heart, they were so neglected. Having experience with raising puppies from birth before I decided to take October home with me that day and give her the best life I possibly could at 18. I bottle fed her everyday, weaned her onto soft and then hard food. October recently pulled her ACL in her back left leg. She now has a 50% chance of tearing the other one and is now more prone to arthritis when she gets older. She needs surgery to fix her leg to be able to be a normal dog again. The cost is about $3,300 before physical therapy and med costs. The veterinary hospital she goes to is Pasquotank Animal Hospital. Her doctors name is Blake Lucas. October is the sweetest girl I know. She loves the babies, children and fur friends in her life. She loves laying under blankets and cuddle time with me. She knows plenty of tricks. She follows me everywhere I go, all around the house and to the stores. She’s picked me up and licked my tears away when I needed her most. October is my baby, literally, and I couldn’t imagine my life without her. Unfortunately my car has not been working for months and nobody is willing to fix it. I’m only cleaning beach houses on saturdays now, soon to be no days, with my friend. I’ve been denied for food stamps to help out financially and I’m supporting myself my dog and my partner

I got Bentley at 8 weeks old he is a light to all that meet him & truly my sunshine everyday. He is my best friend & I truly don't know what I would do without him. He is all I have!!!!! Bentley is a 6 year old Standard Poodle. On 09/28/2025 Bentley was playing & having the best day when suddenly he showed sign of bloat. I rushed him to the ER where they had to perform emergency life-saving surgery on him which was very costly- There was no time to seek alternative surgeons. Bentley would not have made it thru the night without the surgery. He was in ICU for 2 days. Bentley is only 6 and still so full of life. He loves to go swimming, run with his long legs, go for rides in the car, play at the dog park & cuddle with his mom Jill. He has special friends that he loves to see Dayan & Tony. Bentley has a lot of dog friends his best friends name is Bane Bentley is a 6 year old Standard Poodle. On 09/28/2025 Bentley suddenly he showed sign of bloat. My hours at work got cut to 29 per week. I currently have no emergency money for unexpected situations. My boy was saved by the surgery. I just need help to pay for the surgery

We rescued Gracie after meeting her while grooming her for the rescue. She had been bred and dumped off at the rescue as soon as she had her puppies. She’s been in training to be my Autistic daughter’s service dog. She is an amazing dog and so sweet. Gracie is hospitalized at Ozark Vet Clinic in Ozark, AL. She pulled a towel into her crate and ate it while I was at work Tuesday. We discovered what happened late Tuesday night. She was taken to the vet clinic yesterday and it was confirmed this morning that she had a blockage. Gracie is a super fun dog! She loves the kids and has fun cuddling them, running and playing with them, and loves to do anything with them. If they are playing with their toys she is laying there watching them. We have had a bunch of personal medical expenses that have depleted our emergency fund. We have part of the money but not all of the $1,300 the vet clinic wants.

Kenji’s life began in heartbreak. I found him late at night, crying and alone in the empty parking lot of Sunset Park’s dog park. Thin, frightened, and vulnerable, he still wagged his tail and leaned into my touch as if he’d been waiting for someone to care. I hadn’t planned on another dog, but with coyotes nearby, I knew he wouldn’t survive the night if I left him. Kenji’s front left leg is injured and swollen at the ankle. He can stand only briefly before crying in pain and collapsing. I hand-feed him food and water, as he struggles to eat otherwise. Dr. Carolyn Garcia at Pebble Maryland Animal Hospital reported a 90% likelihood that his shoulder is also broken and that he needs urgent treatment. Kenji now lives with me and my other dog in a safe, caring home. Despite his rough start, he is affectionate, playful, and bonds closely with his family. He enjoys walks, companionship, and resting beside us. Kenji has adjusted well, becoming a cherished member of the household, and I am committed to giving him the secure life he deserves. I am a US veteran on a fixed income and limited finances. Finding Kenji was a gift, but I am not financially prepared to handle his emergency medical and related expenses. I don't want to lose him. I must save him. Please help.
