I adopted Finn when he was 3 months old from the local Humane Society. He was tiny but his paws were huge! He was your typical silly kitten. My son immediately attached to him. We got Finn buddy about 4 months after we got Finn. They were great buds until Jake passed. Finn is a loving, playful, loyal cat. He meows all the time like he is talking with us. He lives with my son and I About two months ago, Finn was diagnosed with hyperthyroidism. He will require a medicine twice a day for the rest of his life and frequent blood checks.. He was diagnosed at Vista Vet Clinic. My son and Finn are really close. When my son emerges from his room, no matter where Finn is, he comes running to get loves from him. They play. He is a love bug, loves nothing better than sitting by me and having me pet him. His purrs are loud and his personality is one lovable cat. He is a part of our family I have a chronic health condition that prevents me from working. I collect Social Security disability that barely covers our expenses as is. I had to declare bankruptcy two years ago so any kind of loan or credit card is impossible for me to get.

He was a Christmas gift and my first ever cat and first pet. I’ve had him since he was very young and he has been with me for about nine years. I’m currently a college student and independent adult, balancing part time work and summer classes. I also have two other cats in the home and he is especially close with one of them. His name, Haku, comes from one of my favorite Studio Ghibli films! About three months ago I took him to the vet because he was bloated and wheezing. I was concerned it could be asthma or bronchitis. He had x-rays and was given medication and the visit cost nearly $600, which I paid out of pocket using money I had set aside for tuition and school expenses. Despite that treatment, his condition has continued. Right now, he is showing concerning symptoms again He is the most loving and gentle cat I have ever met. He is very talkative and expressive, and he loves to be close to people. When I study or rest, he often sits on my lap and keeps me company. He is affectionate with everyone he meets and is known for being very sweet and calm. He enjoys cuddling, will nuzzle and lick hands or faces, and has always been very friendly and social. I am not financially prepared for another emergency vet bill, but I am trying everything I can to get him help. It has been very stressful emotionally and financially and I have not been sleeping well worrying about him.

Back in 2013, I was fostering for a cat shelter and a box of orphaned kittens were left on the steps of a church not far from where I live. These kittens were about a week old with no mother, so I became their mom until it was time to adopt them out. I was able to find good homes for them all, except Lucy. She was adopted out by one of the other volunteers, but the home she went to was inadequate. After Lucy dealt with living in a cigarette-smoke-filled home, she was finally taken away. After that I adopted her, and she attached herself to me as if I was her lifeblood. She remembered that I raised her. I was mom. Since, she has remained attached to me and only me. If I sit or lie down, she curls herself up around my neck and sometimes on my face. Lucy hates cat food. I have to make her a special home made dish of food every day because she won't eat it unless it's freshly cooked. And she only likes dark meat chicken, so every day I cook up a chicken thigh or chicken leg and mix it with special cat vitamins and minerals with taurine. But, lately, she hasn't been eating well. My vet found a mass on her liver and thickening of her intestines. As it turns out, Lucy needs surgery, a biopsy, and possibly more depending on the diagnosis. I am on disability for autism, and I am older now, so I cannot afford the surgery. Lucy is all I have left. I've lost so much in the past couple years, I can't lose her too.

Minnie in the winter of 2024 from Furever friends. We have been together for about 2 and 1/2 years, and having her in my life has been the greatest gift. Minnie my only pet, I live alone as a single disabled vet so it's just me and her. Her full name is Minerva garbanzo though I usually call her Minnie for short. She got her cuz she looked like she came out of the garbage😆 I recently learned that Minnie has a heart murmur and severe dental disease after noticing she wasn't acting like herself. I'm a disabled vet on a fixed income and I can't afford her treatment alone. She's my only companion and I'm doing everything I can to get her the care she needs before her condition gets worse the vet I use is the camillus animal clinic Minerva is more than my cat, she's my heart. She's the sweetest soul always wanted to be held and sleep thing cuddled beside me under the blankets. When I cry she climbs into my lap and gently licks my face I said she's trying to comfort me. As a disabled vet living alone she's my family, my best friend and my greatest source of comfort I am a disabled vet on a fixed income and I recently was laid off from my job. After rent and bills I cannot afford this dental surgery. She has severe dental disease and a heart murmur. I'm scared she'll worsen and I may have to surrender her or put her down. Shes my heart

So I was a addict and January 2025 I finally decided I wanted to change and went to rehab. feb 2nd 2025 one my family members called me and told me they had puppies and wanted to gift me one for taking this huge step in my life.she came to when I got out rehab from another state and she has been my rock.She is my ESA and without her I know I would have returned to using.she is my BFF. So I have been in recovery since I have gotten her and she does keep me sober and said.BUT I was unaware because I have in my 46 years of life,Never had a pet before know she needed more shots and now she has a infected anal glan or it's a spider bite...idk and she been running a fever...I have been putting cooling rags on to help bring her temp down but it is over 100 degrees outside. She is my ESA and when I can afford it I would love to get her service trained for my anxiety and PTSD.so when my disability is granted I can take her with me cause without her it is hard for me to leave my home in fear of violence against me and not feeling safe anymore...she is my strength and my heart. She gives me a reason to keep going and to live my best life. I have PTSD and have social anxiety and I am working on it.I am in recovery and see a theropistiest.I have filed for my disability and I am hoping it gets approved very soon within the next month or 2.But ooti needs a vet asap for her shots and this thing on her butt.

For 14 years, Scorpio Anne has filled her family's life with unconditional love, comfort, and unwavering loyalty. Affectionately known as "Big Mama," this gentle Pit Bull Terrier has been a devoted protector, loving companion, and the heart of her home ever since her mom welcomed her into the family years ago. Now, when Scorpio Anne needs her most, her mom is doing everything she can to help her through the fight of her life. Earlier this summer, Scorpio Anne's mom noticed blood coming from her paw. A closer examination revealed several masses, and thanks to the support of another nonprofit organization, she was able to have biopsies performed. The results brought both heartbreak and hope. Two of the masses are benign, but one is cancerous. Thankfully, her veterinarian believes Scorpio Anne has an excellent chance for a good recovery—but only if all three masses are removed as soon as possible. Until then, Scorpio Anne continues to live with painful, bleeding growths that require frequent bandage changes just to keep her comfortable. Watching her beloved best friend endure this every day has been incredibly difficult for her mom, who simply wants Scorpio Anne to spend her senior years surrounded by love instead of pain. The surgery to remove the masses is estimated to cost $3,068.99. Thanks to a generous $200 grant from Paws 4 A Cure, part of her care has already been covered, but her family still needs to raise $2,500 to move forward with surgery, medications, and post-operative care. Despite everything she's facing, Scorpio Anne's loving spirit continues to shine. She still has so much love to give, and her family is determined to give her every opportunity to heal and enjoy the happy, comfortable retirement she has earned. Duke has been such an amazing companion from day one. He is a true cuddler and never passes up an opportunity to share his happiness. He was adopted when we had just lost our previous lab to cancer, and he filled a large void in our family. He is everything you would want in a lab, except he likes to eat things that he shouldn’t. He is currently in the emergency veterinary clinic with a blockage in his intestines. We don’t know what it is, but he fell ill pretty quickly because of it. He has had fluids and being monitored for now. Our family just isn’t the same without him, and we can’t imagine it. We have another dog, Poppy, who is awaiting his return home to us. He loves to go anywhere we go and always wants to sneak a hug. He has done this another time before, when he was 2 years old, and we were in a better place financially and could easily decide to pay the extreme amount for surgery. Now we don’t have the same resources and need help.

Coco was found in a box and was brought to where my mom worked. The guy who found them said he would take him and his brother to the shelter so my mom felt bad and brought her home. Since we got Coco my family has fallen on hard times and cannot afford the PU Surgury to ensure he will not block again after we spent our last money paying for his unlocking Surgury. Please help me get Coco better Coco was unblocked twice at Surf city vet in La - but is predicted he will block again due to crystals in his ureter - this is life threatening. He is now at a vet where he is being held under observation until he be a get his PU Surgury.. Coco is a life saver. He is a gentle soul that understands that I am disabled and calms me.. he is my heartbeat. He makes everyone smile and lights up the room when he walks in.. since he has been at the vet I have been more depressed than ever.. Coco and his brother are truly therapy animals.. they communicate with their eyes ans understand how much they are loved and appreciated. I am 22 years old and have suffered from chronic depression and ADHD since I was a child. The only thing in this life that makes me happy is to be around animals as they do not judge me or think poorly of me due to my health condition.

Koda came into my life right when I needed him most. My wife had just left me. She took my other dog and walked out. There was no warning. I was alone. I needed a dog. I need some companionship. The first link I clicked on. What's his? He was the runt. I came to take a look at him. As soon as he got in my arms, He fell asleep. I knew he was mine. I'm on disability and on very low income and my benefits actually stopped. I'm waiting for SSI to respond. With my wife leaving, she was helping me pay the rent. I don't know if I'll be able to afford it. I'm trying to get code of all the care he needs and I have been able to manage figuring it out. But now he has something. Thats making his hair fall out he keeps itching. I need help. He has saved my life. With everything that happened, if he wasn't in my life, I don't know where I'd be. He has distracted me in a great way. It has become my little partner, my little buddy, my little friend. And with all the drama, all the stuff, all the and hurt that I'm going through in my life. I give me being right here asking for help today and just being here all to him. Going through a divorce unexpectedly. I am on disability, on a fixed income. My benefits just ended, so I'm getting zero at the moment. I'm waiting for SSI to respond. And the person who helped me, my wife is gone completely.
