Conan

Conan is a 5 year old Siberian Husky in Elk Grove, CA, who needs $2,000 for MRI Study.

Meet Conan, our sweet 5-year-old chonky husky who recently made a big move from the Philippines to the US last August 1. Conan has always been full of energy and love, but the evening of October 13, Sunday, started experiencing troubling mobility issues. A slight limp has now turned into a neck and front legs pain so severe that he intermittently screams in agony. We've taken Conan to multiple vets/ER, and he’s been given pain meds but his condition kept degenerating. The vets believe his mobility problems could be linked to issues with his neck muscles or spine, but they won’t know for sure until he undergoes an MRI. Vets stated: if we are unable to do MRI+surgery, they recommend euthanasia due to the extremeness and severity of pain. VCA Animal Hospital. Conan and his brother have been my wife's companions and protectors ever since we adopted them. Conan himself is almost always by our side whenever we are in the house. Even when he is up and about, he always checks in on us before going back to what he is doing. A quiet and loving soul, he and his brother are always making new friends, never showing aggression to doggos and humans alike. I am currently unemployed and have been job hunting for the past 2months. My wife, who just got here in the US is also doing the same. The suddenness of Conan's plight and the surprisingly high cost of pet care made us go through our savings like hot knife through butter.

Stella was a rescue that came to live with us 9 years ago as a puppy. Other fur babies in the house is Mabel a Frenchie and 2 rescue cats that have all gown up together since they were little. Stella is an australian sheppherd that is an integral part of our family consisting of two young boys and their mom. She's provided for by single income parent raising the furbabies and kids. Stella wasn't eating and had an open wound so was taken into the vet. She was to have surgery the next day to suture the wound when the next day the lab work showed she had elevated counts. One was her liver count, white blood cell count. Today we were told she will need gall bladder surgery which is $7000 at Gregg Animal Hospital in La Habra. Stella is the sweetest dog who gets along with cats, dogs, she absolutely loves to play fetch with her ball. She loves car rides, going on walks, camping, visiting family for the holidays and playing with their furbabies. Everybody that meets her wants to keep her and rants and raves about her sweet disposition. She sleeps every night in my room on my bed. She goes on all our trips. Im a recently divorces single mom of two boys, two dogs and 2 cats. No extra income to help support. My financial situation allows us to pay for the house, utilities, gas and food. It's paycheck to paycheck. Stella is still young with more life experience to live.

Bella was a reduce from a puppy mill. My young daughter saw her wandering and we found the place she was living to be a mill. We took her into our home and have been living her since Bella has very poor dental health. She’s in a lot of pain and cannot eat much. She’s losing weight and yelping when she eats. We are now providing soft food but we were told she needed all of her teeth pulled. As a single mom I just cannot afford to do the care bill Bella has been a staple to my daughter’s mental health. She is her best friend. She gets her through everyday. Bella is so well behaved and the most loving fur baby ever. I am a single mom with a special needs child and barely making it. I work a 9-5 but it’s just not enough. I don’t want to see Bella suffer and my daughter lose her fur bestie

My neighbor use to walk her dog (Miffy) by my house. She was so cute, I asked if she ever had babies I wanted one. Well she got pregnant and they offered me a puppy. Apollo was born Jan 2019. He came home at 10 weeks old. I fell in love right away. He was the cutest little thing with big ears and big eyes. I loved it. Apollo has had allergy issues, but they were very minimal. At age two I was told he has arthritis down his spine. But it never really bothered him. A couple of weeks ago he jumped out of the car, but later that evening he wasn’t able to walk up the stairs. He has a vertebrae injury, making him unable to walk. He’s on pain meds and steroids. But he hasn’t gotten better. He seems to be declining. He’s very special because he’s like a little spoiled stubborn child. He’s funny, loves to walk, loves car rides, and love little kids. He’s a snuggler. If he doesn’t get what he want from me he goes to my fiancé who always complies. His thing to do is to hunt lizards. Thank goodness he hasn’t been able to catch them. I’m retired, and one of my income sources ended recently. I hate to see him suffer and my heart hurts for him. I’ve maxed out my credit cards and I have a pretty big car note. I have tried getting increases to no avail. He’s my best friend.

Bella’s mother was a side of the road rescue of my family friend. I picked her out of the litter five days after she was born. I am 12 yo; she is my BEST FRIEND!!! Bella helped us take care of my Grandpa: reminding us to take meds, food, etc. Bella is a super smart girl. She loves us and protects us. Bella started having seizures today. Yesterday we thought she ate something bad. A friend took us to a vet, Providence Veterinary Care 870-942-4237. The vet thinks she ate antifreeze or rat poison. Bella’s bloodwork shows her kidneys are in trouble, but the vet thinks with iv fluids she could possibly pull through. The vet has made her comfortable. I do NOT want her to suffer. But she is my baby. Bella gets out of the fence no matter how many holes we repair. She is so smart and knows what she’s doing. She goes back in the hole. Haha! I am home schooled and am with Bella most of every minute of most days. She is smart, loving, protective and the best dog. I wish she could tell me her thoughts because she has a lot of them! My family is struggling financially with the increased cost of everything. My Dad’s industry went down last year because of Covid, then after that he had an injury and was not able to find work he could physically do until January.

I first saw Dollie on Facebook. She was just this itty bitty puppy that they had set in a tea-cup and it was love at first sight. We have a Blue Heeler, a Frenchie and 2 cats but Dollie is the boss. My kids and even my friend's young kids know that it is her way or the highway and we wouldn't have it any other way. Dollie, like many chihuahuas, has developed problems with her hips. We never intended to breed her, but our vet didn't feel comfortable spaying her. So we worked hard to be good owners and keep her from getting pregnant. Unfortunately, due to circumstances out of our control, she did. We scheduled a c-section but she went into labor on her own and we had to rush her to Valor Veterinary ER. Dollie takes time to warm up to people but once she does there is not any room for doubt about how much she loves the people she chooses. Every person has their own special moments with Dollie. Whether she is napping with the little kids or asking to be cradled like a baby, she knows how to make each one of us feel loved. As a single mom, money is always tight. Paying for a planned c-section due to another person's actions would have been challenging, having to max out a credit card to save my dog's life feels detrimental. I just want to continue to provide a good life for my pets and kids.

Chester is one of two puppies I rescued this last summer. I found him and his brother in a box behind Walmart baking in the 102 degree heat. The rest of the litter was there too but sadly we're already gone. These two.pups have been by my side ever since. They follow me everywhere. They are the light of my life and bring me great joy. I don't know ow what is wrong with Chester but this is an emergency. I know he doesn't have parvo because his brother isn't sick. But I don't have any money and none of the vet hospitals will see him here without payment upfront. But he hasn't eaten in 2 days. Not a single morsel. He is drinking water but throws it back up. He is very lethargic and unresponsive. Chester is a very loving and playful.dog. He loves playing with my grandkids. His brother and him are inseparable. He sleeps n bed with me and goes everywhere with me. He is very smart, he can sit, stay laydown,rollover,shake,high 5, and even say "I love you" Chester will die without treatment and I have no money. I am enrolled in school full time and just really want to save my dogs life. Please help me save hi.
