Shadow is a 14 year old Golden Retriever in Greensboro, NC, who needs $1,300 for Eye Mass Removal.

Shadow truly is the last member I have left living from my mom’s side. He was a gift to my grandmother from my PawPaw as she struggled with the grief of the loss of her soulpet. Shadow as a puppy brought joy to the last few months of my grandma’s life. She passed away in 2010, then for the next few years Shadow kept my PawPaw company until his passing in 2016 and has lived with me ever since. Shadow has had a tumor on his eyelid for the past few years. Our vet at Lawndale Veterinary said so long as it didn’t cause discomfort it didn’t need immediate treatment. Over the last few months it has grown in size and has begun to bleed and cause obvious pain to his eye. It was suggested it be removed, but bloodwork and surgery is estimated to be $1500 dollars which is almost my month’s pay. Shadow has truly been the light of my life. We’ve lost family together and grieved in each others arms. He is sweet to everyone he meets, placing a paw in each newcomer’s hand. He loves elephants and pink bunnies; makes sure that he has one to give you as soon as you get home. The best hiking buddy and napping buddy ever. He gives more to me than I could ever give to him. He truly saved my life. I am currently working at a temp job at the university I am attending. The pay is just enough to get by, but schedules around classes. I am working towards two degrees at the moment and as a college student relying on scholarships I do not have the funds to help him quickly.

We found our "pawsome" pup Markus one day outside on cleaning the yard he slowly staggered up to me looking overtired and malnourished you could tell he had been neglected for a long time due to his coat being rough and patchy and his entire rib cage being more than visible. we welcomed him home with open arms after trying to find the owners and no one came forward. He truly is a blessing to us Markus became sick after coming into contact with another pup who had a severe case of round and hook worm I was unaware at the time of the play date. Now I'm found terrified and watching my boy fight for his life its.in his feces and in his eyes he is in so much pain and beyond sick he doesn't like to play he refuses to eat he just lays around and wallows in pain. Please help me help him! Markus is great with everyone of all ages but his best friend is his brother "little joey" they have grown such a bond I didn't was possible when he leaves he wants for him by the door until come home and when he hears him pull up he barks and runs jn circles full of excitement I'm struggling to pay for this vet visit due to falling down my basement stares and taking me out of work I am a single mother of 2 school aged boys who love their pup as much as the next person I'm not one to ask for help like this but my family and I are desperate for him

As most of you know, Lola is a rescue and the truth is, she rescued me. I am reaching out to you with a heavy heart and a plea for help for Lola. Recently, we discovered that Lola urgently needs complicated dental surgery. Our veterinarian, Dr. Candice Habawel at Green Dog Dental, has explained that Lola's dental issues are causing her significant pain and discomfort. The surgery is necessary to alleviate her suffering and to basically save her. Lola's special place in our hearts is irreplaceable. She's not just a dog; she's a treasured member of our family, bringing light, love and joy into our lives every day. Her loyalty, affection, and playful spirit are reminders of the beauty of unconditional love—a gift we are endlessly grateful for. Lola isn't just a pet; she's an extraordinary soul with a unique blend of charm, loyalty and love. As much as I wish I could provide for Lola's medical needs on my own, I'm facing a pressing financial challenge. My husband and I were lokk6for a companion for our other dog and we stumbled upon Maximus. He was rescued from a humane society. He was a stray so they took him in. We adopted him only a week after he was brought into the shelter and we instantly fell in love with him. He is currently living with us in a rental in Bucks County, Pa. When we adopted Maximus, he had a little limp. We took him to Pet's Furst Urgent Care and they said not to worry about it. The limp kept getting worse so we took him again. We asked for an x-ray. He ended up having Osteochondritis Dissecans (OCD). It's a rare condition that affects the cartilage between the joints causing lameness and pain. The vet recommended Blue Pearl Vet Hospital for surgery. He is just everything we wanted in a dog. He has become a companion to our other dog who he loves to play with. He is very smart and energetic. Loves to learn new tricks and will play with you all day everyday. Unfortunately, with this condition he is not allowed any kind of activity. He is not even allowed to do stairs and we live in a townhouse with multiple sets of stairs. This was a condition that was found after we adopted him. We didn't have anything saved up for a sudden surgery like this. My pet insurance won't cover it also since it's a condition he was born with. We just don't have the funds for a surgery like this.

Bella walked into my life unexpectedly, she was a boyfriend dog. Little did I know, she would become my best friend in the whole world. Bella was truly there for me when no one else was. Bella had a tumor on her breast that we are unsure if it is cancerous. In order to know, she will need to have it removed. This unfortunately will over time kill her if it is not removed. She is my lazy girl. Bella will never let you sleep in your bed alone and will always bark at the bikers who ride by like the road is hers. Her prancing feet are recognizable in any situation where she is happy. I recently just had my appendix removed and am having trouble catching up on bills and had to use my savings to help stay afloat. Any help will allow Bella to live a healthy life for many years to come.

We have had Chica as a puppy, since I was a kid. She is 15yrs old now and still has a lot of energy running around and hoping on things. She still has a joy for life. She has been an indoor pet all of her life and we have always had a yard for her to run around in. Recently, Chica has had a sore that has ruptured. Maybe some type of cyst. It has become infected. She has a few others, but not as big as the one that opened. She needs medical attention and we would like to take her to Mission Animal Hospital to have the cyst and infection removed as soon as possible. Chica is very special to us and always has been. She has had other pets around her and another chihuahua that she plays with. She is also friendly to everyone. When my sister was young and sick. Chica would lay with her all day and once in awhile scratch at her side. We found out my sister had pneumonia and Chica was trying to tell us. She has the same rituals every night before bed time. We can't afford the surgery. With everything going up in price, my whole family is struggling. We want to make her better, and not put her down. But she will need surgery for that. She means so much to my whole family.

Kemper is a 4 year old Cardigan Welsh Corgi in Pueblo, CO, who needs $2,000 for Tibial Plateau Leveling Osteotomy (TPLO).

Kemper is a cowboy corgi (Corgi/Heeler) straight from the farm. He is the fastest little ball of muscle you've ever seen. He loves his brother Balaam, a blue heeler/malamute. He has a more energy than one could imagine and does great on our weekly hikes through the wet mountains of Colorado. Kemper recently tore his cranial cruciate ligament (CCL), similar to the ACL in humans. He was racing through the grass and wrestling how he always does and suddenly developed a limp. Prior to this he has been the healthiest dog I have ever seen. Kemper is being seen at Hilltop Vet Clinic for imaging and surgery. Kemper is special because he provides a contagious energy to other dogs and the people that get to experience him. He loves to play with dogs and wrestle around. He has this goofy smile when you scratch the sides of his face that is just amazing. We just got pre-approved for our first home and the financial need of this procedure is adding a new level of stress to the situation. This is one of the biggest steps we have ever planned on taking and Kemper is worth asking for help for.

Sassy rescued me after I lost my 15 year old dog, Harlie. I’ve had her since she was 10 weeks old. We’ve moved across the country together, been in a car accident, lost my husband, and have rebuilt together! Sassy wasn’t acting like herself. Blood tests revealed elevated thyroid levels. Ultrasound found a mass on her thyroid. We were sent to Four Seadons Veterinary Specialists where she had scans that show nothing is soreading / she has an excellent prognosis - IF the mass is removed. It’s becoming harder for her to breathe every day. She has a personality like no other. She’s one of the authors in my upcoming book, Faces of Grief. She’s on the back cover. She’s with me always / everywhere! I’m a widow rebuilding my life and business in a state I moved to to marry my husband. I can’t function without her - knowing she has an excellent prognosis.

We rescued Lexi from the Animal Care Society & she had a rough start to her life because she had Parvo, which is a deadly puppy disease. She had to be hospitalized for 3 nights to receive 24 hr care & medicine. After that, she has been a joy to our family & all who meet her. She has grown up with our 3 sons & has been the most mild mannered, sweet dog. Lexi has both of her back ACLs torn & we are wanting to have 1 of them fixed because she can’t walk at all now & she still has a lot of life left to bring joy! Lexi loves her family & knows she has a good life - a few times that we’ve accidentally left the back gate open & our neighbors would call that she was out, she would just stay in the backyard on her own or just go around front & wait on our front step for us to return! 😂 Without revealing too much, our middle son has struggled a lot with mental health issues and we’ve had to pay for residential treatment centers that are extremely expensive to help him get better. This has depleted our savings & caused us to take out a 2nd mortgage.
