Hi my name is Maria Bennet & this is our family cat Brisk. Brisk is in desperate need of Perineal urethrostomy surgery due to his ongoing uti/blockage issues. A perineal urethrostomy (sometimes referred to as a PU) is a surgical procedure that is most commonly performed on male cats with a urinary obstruction. This procedure removes the narrowest part of the urethra (the tube that transports the. Brisk has had 2 UTI blocks a tear.In his urethra and he has also had a cystotomy surgery He was in the hospital. For 20 days.. He was able to come home.He still cries every time he urinates.I took him back to the hospital.They did a urine culture on him for a U.T I infection That came back negative.He still cries.They want it to redo the test all over again.I am financially drained and could not m He is very loving caring sweet.He loves His his dog sisters and brother, they cuddle.And snuggle together everyday.He licks and cleans each and every one of them. He is overall just an amazing cat. He means everythingto us. We have financially broke our bank account to be able to keep him alive. On my birthday, July 2020 my granddaughter Caty convinced me to get a dog. I'd been thinking about for a long time. I was a pretty chipper 74 year old. At the shelter I was overwhelmed at my attraction to litter of mixed breed terriers, 9 weeks old. There were 5 of 9 left. Never having raised dogs before, I chose 2. This was going to be fun. I was really excited when I got Doug and Randy home. I couldn't go 6 mo. w/o some diseaster. Stone swallowed, Intestine disorder( both dogs) tooth extraction (Doug "baby tooth"did not come out). I've spent thousands at VCA Flannery. In 2024 Doug tore up his leg (tech jargon) "stifle effusion & degenerative joint disease w?disuse muscle atrophy to right pelvic limb". I was ref to Hudson Highlands VMG Consult & pre-op $498. Tibial Plateau Surg. $5824. These dogs have become my babies. I live alone so I have them to come home to. I live in a mobile home at the edge of the park, so these dogs are gifted with a huge backyard in which to run. I spend lots of hours doing meal prep. Only fresh meats and veg. They literally my family. I didn't realize the cost of owning dogs. I am broke. I'm 78 yrs. old. No pension. Live on S.S. and part-time schoolbus driving. Right now my only goal is to get Doug well. He is such a lovable guy. He's on pain med., but he's only a shadow of what he was.

We rescued Winnie at 8 weeks old from a puppy mill breeder in Illinois. Winnie is a member of the family and it is very heart breaking to see her in this condition. She can no longer walk which is causing anxiety amongst other issue (incontinence, rash, uti's. Winnie has IVDD and the surgery cost 12,000, which is very unaffordable. We do not want to euthanize our pet and we dont her suffering. My children are so heart broken to see their family member in pain and it further makes it hard for me and my husband. Winnie comes from love and we have to watch her go through this condition everyday. She is a great family pet and great for my anxiety. My dog is special because she is an emotional support dog for me. I have suffered from anxiety since the passing of my son Kendall and having Winnie has helped me tremendously. My children love Winnie dearly and she brings us all such joy. WInnie loves to snuggle and give doggie kisses to everyone she meets. My dog has IVDD which can be cured with surgery of her disc in the back. I took her to a neurologist amongst other visits. We had to try medication because surgery was is too expensive. The medicine is not improving her condition and now she is suffering from other conditions because of the IVDD. My husband also got hurt at work so we are down to one income. This economy and grocery are sky high, which has taken away all emergency money. The children are on the way back to school, so all money has to go towards education at this point.

Riley

Riley is a 5-year-old Boxer in Oceanside, CA, who needs $2,000 for Gallbladder Surgery.

We rescued Riley in 2020. She spent her early life in a homeless encampment and was attacked by multiple dogs when rescued and bother of her front legs were broken in the attack. She quickly become a huge part of our family as we helped her recover from her injuries. She is now a happy loving pup that is a loving part of our family. This surgery will save her life and allow her many yrs with us! Riley loves everyone and is a big fan of cuddles. She is very loyal and loves to keep me company while I work. She also helps with emotional support with family members that struggle with depression. Riley has every reason to hate humans. They were terrible to her when she was just a innocent puppy. Instead she loves humans, she welcomes everyone with affection and is so kind. Rylie became ill Monday night 12/11 and is at VSH in San Marcos, this hospital has helped us along the way. She was in so much pain and could not settle. We have found out that her gallbladder is blocked and she needs surgery as soon as possible. We have already spent 5k in her care prior to knowing she needs surgery. We are desperate to get her the help she needs to become well again. We do not want to loose her.

Elly joined our family from the OKC animal shelter. We picked her up at an event at a petco store. It was love at first site for my wife and I knew she would be my buddy for the rest of her life. Elly is a Beagle mix. One week after bringing her home she had parvo and we had her treated and she recovered, that was over 7 years ago. She is the protector for my 3 daughters and our home in Yukon OK. Elly has a great life, from sleeping on my feet in our bed, to playing with her doggie sister, Ginger. She loves going to the dog park and running through the lake, chasing a Frisbee or a ball. She is very vocal when playing, but loves to be chased by my 3 year old in the backyard. She is so patient with our twin 1 year olds who love to love on Elly and get nose kisses. We love Elly! We are a single income family with 3 children, one about to start school. Elly is in pain so we would like to do the responsible thing and get her some relief. We would like to take her on trips again, but can't afford this surgery without your help. Elly has a limp in her back left leg, we attempted to treat it with rest and an anti-inflamitory, but it continued to plague her so she received a sedated imaging and has a torn ACL as well as arthritis forming in her knee. The vet recommends a TPLO surgery, but also has another surgery that is more affordable. She is being treated at Yukon Veterinarian Hospital by Dr James McQuade. Elly loves to chase a Frisbee, or a ball, and chewing on a kong. Elly has a buddy, Ginger, who is a few years younger, but loves to play and chase each other. They also are great hunters, keeping the backyard clear of squirrels, rabbits, moles and any other creature. Elly loves her human sisters, Lacey 3, Ava and Maddisyn (1 1/2 years old twins). She loves to nuzzle your arm when she wants loving.

My cat’s name is Mako, he was abandoned by his previous owners in Parkville, MD where I resided from. I took him in and ended up keeping him since he’s such a great family cat. He tolerates just about anyone and is the sweetest! We currently live in Oak Grove, KY now since my husband is stationed at Ft Campbell. Our precious Mako has a serious booboo. The vet said it looks as if he got caught on a fence or something else sharp. He basically tore off his primordial pouch down to the musculature. From the midsection of his belly to the top right portion of his hip.The wound is so large the vet was only able to suture a few inches, the rest is dry packed and needs to be changed out daily He is a playful cat and loves attention from anyone, and I mean anyone. When we let him outside one time. The neighbors pet Mako and of course he likes the attention and lets random strangers pick him up or pet him. Like I mentioned before. He is definitely an amazing family cat. My husband is currently deployed and I am only a stay at home mom of 2 kids. So money is a bit tight and I don’t want to stress out my husband more than he already is.

Raven was a resue baby of mine his previous owners was gonna just sit him out some wheres he always stayed hidden when they had him but when i took him he stopped hiding about 1 month afterwards we live in a apartment along with scooter my yorkie raven dont go outside to roam he has been declawed and neutered but he does love laying on the built in patio when he is feeling good he is my baby boy Im not really sure what has happened to my raven we are 3 months into our new home 1st night i had him there i noticed him walking weird then not peeibg in his box only to have bowl movements which also was differently abd not as much his eating & drinking habits changed looseing weight we have relocated before and had no issues when i got raven he had to be put on antibiotics for a uti Raven is very funny in his own ways he use to sit on the foot post of my bed and wait on my boxer to walk by and swat at him.and if he ever hears the sound of plactic and finds it he will try to eat it. He minds me as if he was like the dogs he sees the door opened he will go out and ill say raven get back on here now and he will come back in..i love my ray ray when i 1st got him i almost lost I am on a fixed monthly income and the only income sorce just recently relocated and 4 months ago i lost my boxer which me and my little yorkie is still grieving and i cant bare to loose another there all i have i hate seeing raven in this shape 💔

Hi.. My name is Alexis, my new mommy calls me Poont Poont. My old owner passed away from covid and she took me in.. I'm 8 yrs old and I guess you could consider me a rescue. But I love my new life and home. Poont has not been spayed and I'm not sure of all of her medical history (how recently she's had shots, etc).. I recently noticed she has extreme dental issues.. And it's steadily getting more and more severe. She is now having a hard time eating and is drooling, I even have to puree already wet food for her to be able to eat. I'm trying to get her surgery at Laurel Spay they help Low cost dental. I'm definitely one of her favorite people now. She is very affectionate after we have built up trust. She climbs on my chest and nestles and gives very sweet kisses and hugs. She's playful and adventurous. I'm on social security disability and I get paid once a month. While I am able to feed and cover basic needs and occasional regular vet visits. Urgent care visits are extremely costly. I have been looking into pet insurance but none of them cover preexisting conditions

Dragon is a 7 year old Maine Coon and has much become my close companion. On September 4, Dragon vomited white foam and would not eat or drink water after. The vet stated the foam was due to her not eating and she is not eating because of 3 bad teeth that need to be removed. The vet bill came to $492, I am on a fixed income and cannot afford her dental work and she is eating very little I took Dragon to Critter Care, they did not find any other issues with her other than her 3 bad teeth. She is eating and drinking very little with her teeth bothering her and dental work needs to be done ASAP before an infection begins and I lose her I am on a fixed income and live alone, Dragon has become my close companion. She was left alone at night often by her previous owner and does not like being alone. She often wants snuggles at night I think for gratefulness that she is no longer alone. She follows me everywhere and stays close by at all times. It's heartbreaking to see her in pain and not eating and I can't afford to help her. I am on a disability fixed income and could not afford the $492 diagnostic vet bill which left me without funds for the rest of the month. Dragon needs dental care ASAP or I will lose her. This is just all heartbreaking for me that I can't afford to help her myself.
